This is my second time visiting Heskell marine. They are always very knowledgeable and helpful. I have taken photos of boat parts that I have had difficulty finding replacement parts. The owner Buddy was always able to identify the manufacturer and find what I need. I highly recommend this place based on there knowledge, willingness to work with you and exceptional customer service.

I would highly recommend Discount Boat Sales! When it comes to locating the specific parts needed for Mercury motor replacements can be overwhelming. As the specs aren’t listed in the factory maintenance book. Discount boats went above & beyond by ordering two different parts to make sure I received the correct part I needed. Definitely will be coming here when it comes to future boat needs!

As a woman, I was a little nervous about my first boat purchase until I found Discount Boat Sales Jacksonville. I must have driven by this place thousands of times when it was Haskel Marine. Well, I was finally ready to hook my first boat and immediately thought to stop here.I was greeted by Ed, a jolly guy, who made my experience AMAZING!!! Ed walked me through the whole process. I never felt judged or talked down to because I was a woman.....very important as this is usually guys territory. This was our first boat buying experience and I have to say that Scott and Jill went above and beyond for us. There was absolutely no pressure and they were able to answer every single question with knowledgeable answers. They were great! Super quick to take a look and order the parts needed where other repair companies were claiming a 2-4 week wait before they could even look at it! Had my boat in, parts ordered and repaired before it would have even been seen at another shop. They were all super friendly, welcoming and you could tell they took pride in their work! Hopefully I won’t have to bring the boat in for more than tuneups anytime soon, but if I do I’ll definitely be back!

We have been dealing with Buddy Haskell, his daughter Jill Haskell and this dealership for many years now. We bought our Key West deck boat from them years ago, which we love. We do not have a lot of money, so anytime that our boat has had to be repaired, Buddy has done or overseen the repairs to be sure that nothing was done that was not needed and that the repairs were done correctly. Jill and Buddy are both easy and pleasant to deal with, and explain details of repair in laymans language so that they are easily understood. Buddy has gone above and beyond in helping us when we have had engine issues out of town, talking my husband through simple solutions so that we could stay on the water while on vacation. If we could ever purchase another boat, this is where we would go to get it!

Great boat selection AND great part selection for new and older motors. I restored a motor from 1970’s and struggled finding replacement parts online but Haskell actually had a lot of hard to find parts in stock. The owner is super knowledgeable and friendly and has helped walk me through the whole process to get this thing running like new again.

I had a refreshingly rare experience at Discount Boats HASKELL Marine. I have heard several times that the difference between a reputable establishment and a sleazy dealership is not whether you have a small issue with them, but what they do to fix that issue, and gain a returning satisfied customer. I bought a used boat at a fair price from HASKELL and took it out for a very short drive the first week I had it. When I returned home with the boat I noticed it had a small oil leak coming from the lower unit (Bad gasket). I’m aware that when buying a used boat you buy “as is” and the seller has no obligation to fix any issues that may come up. The refreshing part was that HASKELL Marine actually did fix this issue for me and had me back out on the water within the next week. Overall the dealership had a family oriented vibe that doesn’t typically exist in todays market. I would definitely buy there again. If this review is still up, then I’m still satisfied with their continued service.

Buying this boat was the most pleasant experience (surprisingly fun) I’ve ever had purchasing a boat, and I’ve had many.I was a little picky on some of the add on items I wanted and was surprised to hear “no problem.” Steve was my salesman....ask for him! Just had the water system on my 1998 Mariner serviced at Haskell Marine. Another dealership told me they could not work on it because they could not get parts. That was not the case at Haskell Marine as they actually had parts in stock that I needed. After calling just about everywhere in town to find a new thermostat and gasket kit for my merc 9.9 and nobody had it, I stumbled upon Haskell Marine. Buddy Haskell has the parts and so much more for large and small mercury engines and very reasonably priced. Needless to say when it comes to getting small motor parts that aren’t typically in stock at larger marine stores Buddy Haskell has quite the inventory. Definitely a gem! I will be coming here frequently and recommending this shop for all mercury engine needs.

Steve is amazing. We wanted a certain bayliner, well my husband did, and Steve was so helpful through the process. He was so kind and patient with my children and I. I actually love our boat and the experience we had with Steve.

A friend needed a motor for his boat, I found one at Haskell by chance, this fella told us it was a fuel injected motor said 6000$ to put it in my friends boat. So he did, theres no fuel injection on this motor and it boggs down really bad, tried to talk to them but they say they done what they were played to do. Any attempt to get them to rectify the situation has been dismissed by Haskell not a good place to do business.

Steve did great for my wife and I. We’re first time boat owners and being unsure of what we wanted but knew our budget, steve showed us 2 boats. One was in price range and best of both worlds for wife and I (2004 hurricane deck boat). Buddy also great, took us out on the river and gave us a drivers ed course on boating. A week later the trim was intermittently not working. Called and buddy and Steve without argument or hesitation took care of us. Great experience in buying and customer experience service. We took our outboard motor to have the carburetor rebuilt. Hubs picked up the boat and we took it out on the water...and could not get it started. We floated for a couple hours and had other people try to help us get it started...no luck. We got it out of the water and pulled the top off the motor AND THEY DID NOT EVEN REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS!!! What fool rebuilds a carburetor and doesnt replace the spark plugs!!! And the motor was all gunked up inside...talk about unprofessional laziness. Also, the cover for our boat was half off it when hubs picked it up. We wont be going back.

Recently I purchased a Pontoon boat and called Haskell Marine for a part.I cannot express enough how willing,helpful and freindly Buddy Haskell was.Definitely will go to them as needed.

They are Horrible told them I didn’t want the boat back until it was running perfect and even told them to run it and would pay them to run it just to make sure. Also I told them they needed to drain the gas tank before running it because I just had it fixed and might still have water in it. After paying 1200 I was going to take it out and soon as I got it off the trailer at the ramp the motor boggs out and dies. I realize after check my water separater they never got any of the water out. And after getting all the water out of it, it still didn’t run right. So I took it back up there and they tried to up sell me on a new motor. I go up there to pick my boat up to get a second opinion and they charge me another 120 and now the motor gets no power to it. And don’t try to get them to call you back cause it will never happen

I bought a boat from these people it was the worst experience of my life they would lie right to my face. I had to get the manufacturer (Key West Boats) involved to get the boat I traded in with them paid off. They would tell me they were at the bank paying it off knowing it was a lie this went on for 4 weeks. While this was going on the bank wanted me to make both payment. It cost me late payments on my credit report. Do not do business with these people. They promised to supply seats they did not supply finally the manufacturer sent me the seats because they felt bad about how I was treated.

We live on a salt water river in Bryan County Georgia and had owned a larger Stingray with Mercruiser inboard for about 15 years. After about 4 years of ownership we realized we bought the wrong boat for us. Upkeep was killing us and the fact that you cant tilt the foot of the stern drive up out of the water, like you can with an outboard, it became so encrusted in less than a week without a good hard cleaning it just wouldnt go.Last winter we decided a new, smaller, more basic boat boat with a modest outboard was what we needed instead. Quality of materials and workmanship, reliability, dealership network and support and it must be an outboard motor were our criteria. Those features were more important than price. After carefully researching every brand out there in every price range we decided Bayliner was the best boat for the money and the Element series was the one for us.The Savannah market doesnt have a dealer. Jacksonville Florida and Charleston South Carolina were the closest. Website inquires directed us to the dealer in Charleston and to Jill Haskell at Discount Boats in Jacksonville. One phone call with each and I had connected with Jill who offered great advice and information to help us make our decision. No pressure. Once we decided on the Bayliner Element 16 footer she made us a deal we just couldnt refuse. Great price on the boat. Sold it to us before Bayliner/Mercury killed their promo offer of an extended warranty. A fair trade in on our 2003 Stingray and to top it all off, Jill delivered our new boat to our home and picked up the Stingray. How can you beat that!Jill Haskell and her dealership/family are some of the most down to earth, real people that care, that are true professionals in every respect. They do exactly as they promise. You would be crazy not to give them a try if they sell what you are looking for.As for the Bayliner Element e16 with the smaller 60hp Mercury outboard its a great boat with every feature you need and nothing you dont. Lean only on features like serious instrumentation, which I had gotten used to, but dont miss the mess of a cabin and carpet and lots of other things that only slightly enhance the boating experience, take constant cleaning and upkeep and something is always wrong or broken. This boat is so simple and well made it takes one tenth the time to prepare and clean up.Its not big and its not powerful. Top speed across Ossabaw Sound is 32 mph which is fine for me and my wife and the dog and our stuff. She was always yelling for me to slow down in the other boat. If that is too slow get the bigger 105 outboard.Gas tank is only 12 gallons but we did a 40 mile trip, about half of that across choppy open sound to a barrier island and back to the dock at home only using 6 gallons. The 4 cycle fuel injected engine starts like the engine in your new car. Put the key in and go.We made all the right decisions this time buying a boat. The Bayliner Element with the Mercury Outboard is the best bang for your buck and no matter how far you have to go to get it from Jill Haskell and her family just do it.

They got me too, bought my boat new here, first year I was back 4 times with issues. went in Jan for yearly check up no issues, first time in the water this year steering doesnt work. take it back after it sits there for a week I find out that they cant even look at it for another week. Had to pick it up and now try to find another place that will do bayliner warranty work. Avoid this place, they are nice to your face but you will feel the burn.....

After missing the promised delivery date three times (over three months) with no notice or explanation from the salesman, my husband cancelled his boat order. It was like he had to do all the asking, they would not tell him anything unless forced. Worst customer service we have experienced in a large purchase. If they are this bad at a new purchase, I cannot imagine what service would be like. We will never step foot in this business again.

Extremely nice folks that will smile and tell you anything you want to hear but take advantage of you at the same time. Even after they admit to making the mistake they have done nothing in the way of fixing or compensating me for the additional charges. Purchased a boat from this company, including an extra charge for detailing. Boat was never detailed. Original invoice stated that boat was to be placed on owner provided trailer however the individual moving the boat to the trailer charged me for the services and would not release the boat. Cockpit cover was missing and was told that they would ship it to me. Two weeks later they state that the cover was not available. ??? $400 for detailing never recieved; $420 boat placed on trailer which invoice states was their responsibility and $1,200 cockpit cover replacement. My opinion...take your business elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst ripoff artists in Florida. I would take my boat to a Walmart t.l.e.Before I would consider letting this amateurs touch anything I own again.
