My son goes to college in Iowa City, which is 3 hours from where we live. He called me to tell me that his brakes were making an awful noise. It was too far for him to come home and have our trusted local brake/tire guy check them out. So we gave Iowa City Tire Service a try. They got him right in and where very helpful with payment options as I live so far away. Turns out he just had a lot of gravel and dirt in there. They cleaned it out free of charge! Talk about Iowa nice!! You can bet I will have my son get his next set of brakes and tires from this store! Thank you for taking care of my son when he was too far away for me too!

Best experience I’ve had related to getting my vehicle serviced. They drove me where I needed to go and picked me up when my car was ready (Logan was friendly and professional). My car would shake significantly at 80+ mph. After installation and alignment, I’m smooth sailing. Everyone’s professionalism, friendliness, reliability, and quick action made this place stay.

These guys usually have the size and type of tire I need at excellent prices! If they dont have it they can get it quick. Reputable full service garage doing all manner of mechanical repairs so they can quickly diagnose exactly what your car or truck needs and take care of it for you. Clean bathrooms and the owner is often there! There are a few things to do in the neighborhood (Big Grove brewery and Jimmy Johns) in case you do need to kill some time

A couple of years ago, maybe 3, I had a starter replaced in my car by iowa city Tire and Service. Everything works great to this day. It is very difficult for me to trust a mechanic but, this place is a strait-laced business. After moving away from Iowa City it is difficult to find a place like this where I live now.

We had great service getting new tires on two of our cars. It was quick getting appointments and the service was quick.We would highly recommend this business to others.

Two other dealers told us that they would have to break my locking lugs in order to replace my tires for an extra $50, but this dealer took a look at them and within less than a minute said, “Oh yeah we have a key! We’ll get you taken care of.” They replaced my tires with EXTREMELY fast service and even sold me a key for my lugs at a great price. Every worker there was so kind and helpful which made the experience much more pleasant. I would HIGHLY recommend this business!

I would highly recommend Iowa City Tire and Service to anyone. I have had many repairs performed there, and they have always been very straightforward with me and explained what was needed and what wasnt. They even once gave me the option of having them return an expensive part after it was ordered when I decided to replace the vehicle it was needed for rather than continuing to repair it. I recently purchased a pair of snow tires from them and due to a miscommunication, I showed up there to have them installed when I wasnt expected. Even though it was frigidly cold and snowing outside and they were quite busy, they took the time to install my tires which was much appreciated due to the slick, snowy conditions outside.

All of the employees are so nice. I needed a new alternator ASAP, they got me in the next day, and the service was quicker than expected. You can usually get in the day of, or the next day for a tire service as well. I will be coming back!

Longtime customer, very happy with their service. They went above and beyond when my alternator went out on my car. From big issues to small ones, theyve got you covered. I had taken my car in for an oil change, and they notice little things like a light bulb being out above the license plate. Theyre wonderful and I recommend them to everybody.

Pretty quick turn around for oil change and they even notified and changed some brake lights. They were even quick about getting me in, AND they have an online system for asking questions and helping set appointments, so thats awesome. The gave me some tips on what I might need to be looking out for based on the mileage of my car. Didnt not try to pressure me in to anything at all either. Ive been to some bad car service places in the past, which has put me off from servicing my car in IC, but Ill be going back to this place in the future.

Great I chose Iowa Tire because they were helpful the time I just drove there to have my tires inspected when my indicator said one was losing pressure. They explain carefully what is taking place. I will buy my tires there.

Job was done correctly and quickly. The service was reasonably priced and they even reinstalled a splash guard that had fallen off even though I didnt ask them to! I was only there to get my tires changed but I noticed the guys explain what was wrong to other customers and they did so in a very courteous and thorough way. Hats off to you!

Ive been taking my cars to Iowa City Tire for 20 years. Back then, a friend recommended Mike (the owner) and I always had the FEELING that he and his staff are honest. About ten years ago, I got proof of their honesty. I cant remember what I needed worked on but I was in a hurry and they couldnt get me in right away so I went to one of those chain places. They wanted $1500. I didnt have that kind of money then so I waited and crossed my fingers that Mike could do it for less. I didnt tell him about the chain place because I felt bad about going somewhere else. Mikes quote was $250 which meant the chain place was scamming me! Iowa City Tire is honest, friendly, and patient with people who know nothing about cars like me!
