Just got back from a long trip and was leaving on another trip so I thought I had better change the oil since I was close to 10,000 mile mark. When the service guys found out how close I was to 10,000 they also worked in the 10,000 service, balanced and rotated tires. Appreciated the effort.

My experience with Tom Wood Volvo service department was the only positive that came out of a less than ideal travel situation. My Volvo broke down driving home to Dayton from Chicago in West Lafayette on a Saturday at 5pm. Tom Wood was the only dealership within towing distance and I sent my car there on a whim. They got me in first thing Monday morning, my car was ready that afternoon. It was an easy fix; they also found a leak I had been asking my mechanic about for 2 years! I was really nervous about taking it somewhere unfamiliar and being taken advantage of, but I had such the opposite experience. They also let me pay over the phone so I could pick it up any time since I’d be traveling from out of town. I’m very appreciative of the great service and I plan to even come back when I’m ready to upgrade. Thanks again!
While Joe was professional and helpful, I was surprised at my service outcome. I live 75 minutes north, so I asked them to look over car while it was there to see if anything else needed attention. At my last oil change (different dealership) I was told that I needed brakes and rear tires in near future. Here I was told everything is fine . So now I am wondering if I need brakes and tires or not! I also asked them to add oil change to service(replaced oil pan) if it was near time. When I checked the change oil date after picking up my car I saw that my oil needs changed in 400 miles, yet they did not change oil. Also when I hit in to drive home a service light came on that parking assist needed service! What? My son wanted me to get car in order.I went home.
My most recent service appointment, like all the others, went very smoothly. I appreciate the modern and comfortable surroundings.Sadly, my service representative, Matthew Benn, is retiring. Sad for me- not for him! We have been working together for at least 20 years and he never disappoints. He is friendly, business-like, and knows his Volvos. Such a stress-free car purchase as Jake made the buying process effortless! He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. He sent inventory info to me ahead of my appointment. When he found out I would already be at the dealership for a morning service appointment, he even came in early to meet me. Due to work schedules, my husband was able to complete some of the paperwork via a secure link. Our CPO Volvo came with a very attractive extended warranty option, too. Overall, great experience.
Tom Wood Volvo asked me to bring my 2019 XC60 Inscription in because of an airbag fault showing in my system.When I did so, they asked me to leave the car as they did not have any idea what the fault was caused by. Completely disappointed with the quality of service. No updates on my vehicle over three days for what was quoted to be six hours of work. After being told their computer systems are down on the third day and they were communicating by hand written notes, I was literally told by the receptionist to come up and figure it out in person because she would not transfer me to the service department. Absolutely confused and frustrated at the same time.My family has owned only Volvos for the past 25 years, it may be time to make a change.

We recently purchased a Land Rover discovery from a different dealership other than Tom wood. If we bought the vehicle we knew we would want it serviced by Tom wood Land Rover. Prior to purchasing- I was put in contact with Angie Walters in service. Since I had never owned a Land Rover before, I wanted to chat with a service professional to ensure the vehicle was in proper operational condition. Angie went ABOVE and beyond our expectations, especially since we hadn’t even purchased the vehicle, let alone from her employer.After discussing A-Z and then some with her most friendly, Kind, knowledgeable and understanding ways, we went and purchased the vehicle.After purchasing, we contacted Angie yet again to schedule a used vehicle evaluation. Beth Miller was a fantastic sales representative to work with during the process of evaluating my options. I purchased a 2019 Range Rover Velar, which I was told had been inspected & certified by the dealership prior to being sold to me.While driving the vehicle home from the dealership that same day, a service light came on (no start after 200 miles). One week after being “certified” by the dealer, a $1200 sensor probe goes bad, which doesn’t instill much confidence in the quality of the vehicle.I had the Range Rover for 3 days and then it immediately went in to service for 2 weeks.Not a great start.
This was our first time at the dealership. We recently moved from Chicago. The experience we had was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They gave us a rental car when they had no more loaners while we were getting our oil changed. They also have an amazing coffee machine too! Which makes waiting much more enjoyable. Chris our service advisor that helped was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.
It took over 2 months to get an appointment. However, My service rep, Tammy took good care of me and tried to get all of my 11 concerns addressed. She also made sure I had a loaner. As far as the service performed, only a few of the issues were fixed. I’m disappointed in that and having to take another day off of work to drive back into Indianapolis.

In September, I purchased a Jaguar F-Pace from Tom Wood Auto. I had scoured the country (I’m located in the PNW), as I was having a difficult time finding the exact vehicle I wanted. I had considered purchasing from several other dealerships, only to be completely turned off by the lack of cordiality of the salesmen. As a young woman, this was my first time purchasing a new car on my own, but after a year (not kidding) of careful consideration, I knew exactly what I wanted and had done my research.After talking to at least 10 different salesmen/dealerships across the US- I called this location and was put in touch with Paul. Paul was prompt, no-nonsense, efficient, and incredibly patient. Considering I never saw or drove the car in person before purchasing- this says a lot as to trust I had in this experienced salesman. There was a lot of natural complexity with the sale due to it being out-of-state, this was further compounded by the fact I had just switched state licenses and was awaiting my new permanent license (FYI temp licenses are not recognized the same in out-of-state closings). Suffice it to say- much patience was required on both sides to get this executed. Paul was fantastic through this entire process. I would highly recommend both the dealership and Paul.

Tom Wood Volvo Service is the best! I was absolutely panicked after some ominous warnings, i.e. high engine temperature and I was able to get my car in and was given a loaner through their in house rental dept. My service advisor, Mary, was soo very helpful and she also helped troubleshoot an electrical issue at a subsequent visit. I recommend them without reservation.

Just completed a great buying experience at Tom Wood Jag Landrover Volvo. I live in Georgia and saw the car on line. Informative presentation of the car through pictures, documentation and a personal video was sent to me. I was able to negotiate a price that was better than anything I could find locally. Raina, my sales rep, picked me up at the airport and took me to the dealership to complete the sale. Ben had all paperwork ready and I was out the door in less than a hour to begin my 9 hour drive back home. The car is everything I hoped for and more. I highly recommend Tom Wood and their team of professionals for your next car buying experience.
Services were very poor at Tom Wood Volvo for multiple reasons noted below:1) Communications were never initiated by Tom Wood while my vehicle was in to be serviced. My husband or I had to initiate the status of my vehicle repair multiple times.2) Tom Wood had my vehicle for almost 4 weeks to service an engine light display which was 2 recalls on a 2020 Volvo VC90. Extremely slow and unreliable service.3) Loaner car provided had 3 different displays to service engine soon. When I notified Tom Wood they were very not concerned about the service displays. They told me that I could go back to Sixt Car Rental, and get an incomparable vehicle. Also, Tom Wood was reluctant to give a loaner car until my husband complained. The loaner car was also very dirty.4) My husband stopped in several times and was told the car would be ready when it had not even been looked at yet by Tom Wood Service.5) When Tom Wood finally advised my vehicle was done, I notified them of the pick-up time. When I arrived, I told someone at Tom Wood that I was never notified of the recalls, she said I would be going forward...Hope there are no more recalls. Two recalls on a one-year old vehicle...not reassuring that I have a dependable car..Also, my car was very dirty as it had not been washed and ready for a pre-arranged pick-up.6) Finally, I never had contact with my Advisor at pick-up, and no follow-up with me if all was working well with my car.Sorry to report such very poor customer service, but I believe I am a justifiable dissatisfied customer!
My wife and I couldnt have asked for a better car buying experience.We stopped by after closing time two weeks ago just to browse the inventory. Mr. Jake Baker was working late and took the time to update us on what was there and what they had coming available.After doing plenty of research, we circled back with Mr. Jake and he was spot on with all of our questions and wish list items.Two weeks from our first trip, Mr. Jake circled back with an inventory update and had exactly what we were looking for. They were more than willing to negotiate on price and that allowed us to secure a CPO XC90 and get the additional VIP CPO coverage.Please give Jake @ Tom Wood Volvo a chance at your business. You will not be disappointed.
The service department at Tom Wood Volvo was terrific when I returned from vacation and discovered my car battery wasn’t working properly. They squeezed me in on a Saturday when I didn’t have an appointment, assessed the problem, checked the vehicle in general, and took care of the issues so that I could drive to my home an hour away.
Our service advisor, Angie was great! She got us checked in and explained the process very well. Very friendly and made us feel welcome. We have had other SAs but she is the best by far.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership Multiple days of many voicemails left to the service representative and the service manager with no response. It was nearly impossible to contact anyone to find out the status of my vehicle service. I called multiple numbers, used the chat feature on the website and had to demand not to be put on hold to try and get someone from service on the phone. It’s not the strategy I would use to encourage repeat business.
My car started to make a very odd noise and I was not sure if it was okay to drive. They got me in for service right away and were able to assure me that the car was fine.
This would have been a one star review if Raina Billington hadn’t stepped in to save us from a disaster of an experience. The salesman before her could have cared less if he made the sale, but Raina went above and beyond to help us. Raina is the salesperson to work with 100%, and Mike in finance was super friendly and thorough with all the paperwork.

It was a confusing experience. They had a large certified inventory... somewhere. We went to look at Certified XC90s. We got to test drive a new version of the XC90 and were told they had a large stock of used ones waiting to be certified- though an actual list was not available. And none were available to look at. Happy to sell us any of them though. Eventually, we did pick one and were reluctantly shown the car before we actually bought it. This was on Saturday and we were told it would be ready Monday. Today is Tuesday and there has been zero communication from anyone letting us know if it is or isnt ready. I get we only spent $40,000 on a car, but it would be nice to at least have the car to show for it. Salesman was super nice, but the whole process is terrible. I guess being the only Volvo dealer in town has its perks, but next time we may make the drive to not have to go through this again.
While I could probably find service for less, initially, there’s something comforting about having Mary know me, my car, and the history that takes a long-term approach, and it’s this that keeps me coming back. I also appreciate the loaner vehicle.

Angie was very helpful. She communicated well via text to give me updates. Repairs were done in a timely manner.The only comment would be that I wish they would have run it through their car wash before picking it up. It would have been a nice touch.
We had a great experience purchasing a used Honda Odyssey from Tom Wood. We had been on the market for a minivan for our growing family. After searching multiple places we found an affordable Odyssey with low miles at Tom Wood. Jake was very easy to work with and even coordinated delivering the van to our home. Took my mother N laws c70 to get routine maintenance, Steve the service advisor was thorough when I asked questions about her vehicle and the charges she would be receiving. The courteousy rental was comfortable as well. I expected to sit and wait for her car since it was not my vehicle. Thankfully, I was able to drive home and wait the 3-4 hours.
I had such an easy process buying my Jaguar XE from Tom Wood! My family has been dealing with Todd Biberdorf for about 20 years, he sold me my first Volvo when I got out of college. I switched to Honda’s for my last two cars but wanted to come back to a luxury car and my dad wouldn’t let me go to anyone else but Todd. I currently live in Chicago and have the choice of at least 4 dealerships around me but I knew Todd would make the process painless so I gave him a call. About a week and a half later I was the proud owner of a gorgeous Loire Blue Jaguar XE and I LOVE it!! We are currently in the middle of a global pandemic so we were able to handle most of the details over email. It took me about two hours once I got to the dealership to trade in my car, test drive the new car and sign all the paperwork. I would highly recommend Tom Wood if you are in the market for a Jaguar, Volvo or Land Rover!

I initially came in for one recall, and when I arrived, Angie informed me two additional recalls needed to be done as well. She also addressed my FOB malfunction by replacing the batteries. Scheduling was easy enough, and I was told that I would get a rental, which I did, but there was not a good selection and I was not happy with my rental. I also was under the impression when I purchased the vehicle, that when they serviced the car, they would wash it, top it off with gas, and vacuum it, which none of that occurred; for a high end dealer, I was disappointed in that. I also tried to call several times the next day to see when my car would be ready, and no one called me back.Two days later I also received an email that said they were sorry I missed my appointment, which I definitely was there. Not awful. Not great.

I had a bad day with a flat tire on my 10 year old Range Rover, having spent hours to change the tire, finally having to pry the tire off the axle with a 2x4 to break the “seal” where the aluminum rim met steel with no lug nuts retaining the rim.Chris was great - took care of my issue and got my a loaner vehicle, which made my day after that a lot easier. Great communication as my vehicle was repaired - went the extra mile to ensure my lug nut wrench was the proper size after the service was complete.

I recently had a wonderful experience at Tom Wood Volvo. I was moving out of state the next day and noticed my emission light on my dashboard. I did not have an appointment so I just drove there late in the day. I knew they were busy but they heard my story and fit me in. Not only did they fix the light they also did a recall on my wiper blades. All was covered by warranty. I was able to travel long distance the next day with no worries about my car’s performance. I have bought all my cars in Indy from Tom Wood and always use their service. I am very satisfied with their work.
I left a message on Tom Woods website that I was interested in Vehicle on their lot that I saw on Cars.com. I received an email message from sales manager and I also received a video from a sales person on the vehicle the I was interested in. I was invited to drive up that following Saturday for a test drive. I did not return the call but I decided to drive up Saturday and surprise my sales person. I drove to Tom Woods Range Rover, Jaguar and Volvo to look at a Mercedes GL 450. I was treated with great patience and courtesy they worked with me to get the payment I wanted... I had one of the worst customer services experiences I can remember with the service department. Tom Wood took 3 days to return a call from my insurance company just to get the insurance process started, and it was 9 days before they had finished this process to then simply start on the car repairs. The first time Tom Wood contacted me for any sort of update was 10 days after this due to part shortages and shipping delays. Long story short, they took 90 days to complete my car repair. They did not offer a loan vehicle at any stage. When I picked up the car from their dealership, the exterior was filthy, having sat outside for 3 months. They also did not clean or sanitize the interior (during COVID) after multiple employees had been through it as part of the repair process. One can only laugh at how far they missed the mark.
