Worst experience ive ever had. I made an appointment at 5pm on a Thursday. They asked me to drop my car off cause they close at 6pm. Said they would contact me the next day. All day Friday i never heard from them. I called shop several times with no answer or even a message recordings. Again on Saturday never heard from them and no answer on phone when i called them. I went to shop in person at 11am and they were closed. They were scheduled to be open till 6p. Again i called several times through out the day with no answer. They were scheduled to be closed on Sunday. On Monday i again called them several times with no answer. Finally on Tuesday they answered the phone. They told me my car needed over a $1,000 of repair. I then checked with other shops in the area. Other shops told me the average price for the same repairs run from $500 to $700. When i went into their shop on Tuesday to pick up my car, they charged me a $62 fee. I asked could they waive the fee due to having my car for days and them not being open on days they should have been. they stated how are we suppose to make our money. I would never use this shop for anything. Very unprofessional and a rip off. If i could rate them a minus i would!

I’ve taken both family cars here to get brake work done. Each time I’ve had great experiences. They have been prompt, efficient, and have earned my trust. The work was done well and I was in an out. Something I didn’t expect.

When ever I come with either vehicle of mine for general maintenance. Always professional, respectful, and my vehicle Finnish in a timely manner. One this particular day I had plugs, 1 cassing, and a motor mount replace on my GMC Acadia. . For it to be only (3) of them working they are Awesome!!! would recommend this establishment! Made an appointment online and called to verify. Had to change appointment because they were booked.Arrived at my appointment time. “Open” sign was on but door was locked. Waited 20 minutes. No one showers up and no one answered the phone. Other people were waiting without response too. Very unprofessional

My car had a flat and I was close to Meineke. I pulled in and the experience was fine. I had all four tires changed. I believe that found pretty good tires for a fair price. The service was good, the attitudes were good, and the service experience was an easy one. My ONLY a complaint was the $26 dollar (4%) service fee for using my debit card which I have never heard of before. They also do not except checks. I guess I was supposed to come with $700. cash which would not have been possible given that my car was in their possession. So this would make me hesitate to use Meineke again!

The service was quick but when asked to check the AC for noise they said they have finished working on my car and wouldnt do it. Also a bit on the pricey end.

Im not sure what all services they provide, but when I need a new radiator they came through for me. 5 stars does not do this place justice. I would definitely suggest looking into their financing option. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again guys/gal. Youve turned my year around.✊

After my initial visit, I really wanted to give this location a good rating. I had engine cooling issues that I thought were related to my thermostat but after bringing my car in, they told me I had a cracked radiator. They replaced everything (not cheap) and my car appeared to be okay. They answered when I called and were timely. However, it is less than 3 weeks later and my car is having serious heating issues again. Ive tried calling this location the past couple days to tell them that they did not fix the heating issue completely but whenever I call, it will ring for minutes without an answer and then the call is ignored

The person taking in customers had attitude. They got the order the cars come in for oil change mixed sooo somebody elses car went before mines, they dont go over anything aftetwards just have u pay and hand u your keys, that was my experience😶😔😶😔😶😔😶 the place was clean tho. OUTSTANDING service? I had my exhaust repaired after someone tried to steal my catalytic converter. The team at the West 38th st location was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The repair was completed quickly and for less than other local shops had quoted me. I highly recommend this location and will be back with any other repairs.

Was coming in from out of town to purchase a car so picked this location by random! Anthony was beyond pleasant and helpful from start to finish, went above and beyond for me... the other guys working here stayed late and once again we knowledgeable and helpful start to finish! All questions were answered and no request was turned down! Would go back to this location again without question and recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable bunch!

I took my 2007 Ford Mustang in for break service and received great service, better than the last break job I got from the dealer, I highly recommended this shop.

If you want a mechanic shop that is kind, experienced, and knowledgeable then this is where you should go. After searching around and dealing with shops that were below standard I came in here and was pleased to find staff that didnt treat me less than any other client.(ladies, Im sure you know what mean) Yay Meineke! Worst mechanic experience ever. They always try to change something that’s unnecessary and get more money. I brought my car on Saturday and diagnosed on Tuesday. It was just a battery problem. 100% wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Go and hit your car to a random tree rather than bringing it to this place.(This is my first Google review ever. I really wanted to vent out after this worst experience I had with Meineke.)

Had amazing service all before great prices and great service, then today 01/23/2021 there was a belligerent rude man working the counter that felt it necessary to interject himself into a conversation between myself and the lady I was originally talking to. Completely unprofessional and rude, I filed a complaint with their corporate office. And he was this way in front of my child, unbelievable!

I had a 4 oclock appointment on Friday, and drove pass the shop on Saturday and my truck was still parked in the same spot I parked it in... Ok, so its early... Im like they dont close until 5 or 6.... I stop pass at 3 or 3:30 pm, the shop close... Nobody is in there, Its a couple at the door... They waiting on a car, and they from out of town.... My truck wasnt ready until Monday afternoon and all I was getting was sum brakes... I will never come back here, the service is trash and my brakes still squeak.... Its sad because I used to bring all of my automobiles to you..

I called around to several shops because I had an oil drain plug that was horribly stripped and frozen in place (thanks Jiffy Lube). Anthony was the only one I spoke with that displayed 100% confidence that this shop could fix the issue, but he also warned me up front that it could require replacing the entire oil pan.I am happy to report that they were able to get the plug out without replacing the oil pan, and provided me with a plug that will be easier to remove in the future. All in all, I spent $40 to have my oil changed and a new drain plug installed—very happy with this considering a shady mechanic could have replaced the oil pan anyway and charged me $300+Everyone was courteous and personable on the phone and in the shop.

The guy who did my service was stand offish, and spoke very low and I couldn’t understand him.

I don’t know if I could trust them. The car dealership told me one thing they told me another

I used to come here when I lived in Indiana, I have since moved out of state, and sent my sister here, that way I knew someone that would not take advantage of her, since I wasnt around. And they did exactly what i expected,and are professional,very friendly and I highly recommend them. When and if I come back to Indianapolis this is/will be my go to place.

I have been going to the same location for 5+ years never really had a problem like this!! Mr Jones usually take care of me, not sure if he was off. So I had apt at 4pm arrived at 350p. I gave them my keys and was told to have a seat. So time goes by 30-40mins later my car goes in and I thought it was in the whole time. Then as Im waiting he tells me I need tires. So now Im aggregated because no communication on this taking all day!! So finally 450p Im done and checking out, when I got in the car noticed that I was charge $.50 for fee for using card that he never told me. Then this AM my alarm went off for only 5% oil left because he never reset #! I usually recieve a car review and still havent recieved it but I recieved a review ask..smh!

Once I arrived I was serviced right away! I have never had an oil change done so quickly & was in/out in what felt like no time. Thanks guys 😀

Horrible. They will fix things on your car without permission and charge you for it. That is a issue for me. Also they get mad at you when you check in on your vehicle. I hope the protocol of business gets better.

This was the second time I had to take my truck back right after leaving the shop for something they forgot to check. This time it was a heat shield that was loose. And its still loose. I have used this shop a couple of times in the last two years but I think I may need to find a new shop.

Great service is hard to find so when I do, I stick with them. Theyre professional, communicate well in person and via email throughout the process. Even with Covid, masks are on, the waiting room is clean, they are hospitable and I am able to use coupons...cant beat that!

Awful customer service. In the middle of a pandemic when most people are out of work and can barely afford to live...I’m not going to unnecessarily drive my vehicle into a shop that won’t even give me a general idea of how much the services I specifically ask for would cost. I know I’m a female and probably seem like I can be easily taken advantage of but I grew up around cars and worked in a shop for years and know what I need done to my car. I could in fact just do the work myself but for the sake of not wanting to put the work in I decided to call around. Other shops in the area have been much more helpful and forthcoming.

Great customer service

The location was very busy upon arrival. I was greeted promptly upon entering the lobby. Iwas told they were running a little behind schedule. I started I had another appointment in 2 hours. I was there for an oil change. I was informed that there would be no problem making that. I still was out of the store in less than 50 minutes. They were very polite and very courteous.They did try to get me to by an oil flush. I only had to say no once and they accepted my answer . 4.5 out of 5 stars

Favorite car care center always go for my oil change and im always able to find coupons. Recently got tire rod and wheel bearing fixed and took them bout an hour.

My appointment was at 2:00 PM for a wheel alignment, at 3:00 they finally had my car in the shop, on the lift and then came to me and tried to get me to have unnecessary additional work done other than the alignment and when I told them I only wanted an alignment they lowered my car and drove it back out and parked it in the lot. I would never go to this shop again, and wouldnt suggest it for anyone else. It seems to me that if the unprofessional people at this meineke cant upsell you, they will not do any work for you no matter how much youre paying!

Really bad service they just messed up my car I got oil change and he messed it up oil all under the engine I pay for synthetic oil change and they just put the regular oil there is other things but its to long to explain I just dont recommend this location

I do definitely understand that with covid its been very difficult to get people to stay working especially as a mechanic at a place that is constantly jammed packed with customers. However there are many companies having problems and most of them have the upper management to navigate and continue to provide a better experience for customers!! In thus case about 4 years ago they were operating at a much higher level, then all of a sudden the awesome manager that knew what the F he was doing had moved on to have his own shop, lol unfortunately for me in a different state. Since he left the quality of service has declined worse with every single visit and frankly Im going to pay more somewhere else from now on.

Terrible the white girl with red hair was so rude to a customer after me i asked them to stop working on my car right after i seen tge man running it lie to our face saying lady came in aggressive which she didnt and he Wouldnt know because he wasnt even in front when she came in. The white girl with red hair didnt greet anyone that came in she was too busy watching tv rolling her eyes at people.

Poorly performers I went to get my oil changed and when they change it my filter air filter they usually check it and then tighten the components back and my oil will below the stick the measure I rate this zero wont be back to who it may concern this is my opinion! The shop on West 38th Street need to get more certified attendance to work on people cars

Spent a little over 3000 here.. not worth it.. first time spent 900 something had to take our car back cause it was worse than what it was.. when we took it back they told us we had to fix something completely different.. it ended up costing 1900 something.. and a month down the line were having car problems again.. i would recommend sudden impact collision for quality work..

If you’re a veteran or Active Duty, I would advise you to not even come to this location #1913. They told me veterans days is the 11th. That is correct. Well they have a poster that says “from 9th-14th”. The manage here wouldn’t validate that. Anthony Jones is the manager who doesn’t know. He saw the poster and said “I don’t know why it says that but that’s not when Veterans Day is”. He kept arguing with me on that. I would recommend to definitely go somewhere else. Again I came here a week ago and they even suggested I wait till this deal. Unbelievable.

Told them to fix a steering problem and they said it wasnt the problem it was my tirearm problem, cost over $1400 they told me to give it at least 2weeks to cause it may take time to adjust. I waited the two weeks and nothing change so I came back to see why. They said the issue is the steering and that would be another $800. I told them I requested this to be fixed and you said that it didnt need to be fix it was the tirearm!so now I still have the issue that I had before and scammed out of over $1400, definetly do nit recommend this place👎

The sales guy was extremely helpful and was very honest with me about what I needed to get done and helped me find a discount on my service to make it a little cheaper. Will definitely be going back to get my back breaks worked on once I get the money!

I turned my car in for a diagnosis on July 3rd for a diagnosis. I called periodically for the next two weeks to see what they found. Every time I called they said that my car was “up next on the bay” and that I would receive a call once they had a diagnosis. I did not receive a call back until July 20th and the first thing I was asked was, “What are you going to do with your car?” I replied, “I’m not sure because I haven’t received a diagnosis.” The man told me what the issue was and told me how much it would cost to fix it. Next, this man had the nerve to tell me that I had until the next day to pick it up or I would be charged a storage fee of $15/day. Excuse me?!? You can’t hold my car for nearly three weeks and then decide that I have one day to come get it. I showed up to get my keys and as I walk in, I see they’re getting chewed out by another customer because they failed to call her in a timely fashion(GO FIGURE). I pay for my diagnosis and when I get to my car it is in worse condition in which I brought it. I was informed that there would be minor damage done to the grill but I wasn’t told that the window was damaged. The Meineke on 38th St. is HORRIBLE. My experience was extremely unprofessional and I will NEVER request service from them again.

The team at Meineke replaced my brakes and rotors for a fair price in a timely manner. They weren’t pushy to get extra work done. I recommend making an appointment online because they seem to stay busy all the time. I will definitely return here for future car repairs.

I had a fuel pump and module replace and they were quick they did it right and non of my tools in the trunk were gone i love this place i will go back .Thank you Meineke

TERRIBLE memorable experience. Drove my 2006 RAV4 to Meinecke with poor breaking, car repaired for 2 days, bill came to almost $1,300 which I paid trusting Meinecke, tried to drive the car home, found the breaks were worse than before service and the car was in fact unsafe to drive, returned the car, manager refused to refund ANY of my money, forced to have the car towed the with AAA to my house......

He worked me in for service and before you know it I was in and out without any concerns all the while he was managing a very busy day. The staff was friendly and my oil change was fast is why I gave a 2 star. Outside of that I was given a quote for over a thousand dollars for struts that I DID NOT NEED. After that quote I took it to the dealership and they gave me a alignment and it fixed the issue. I will not be referring them to anyone.

Poor customer service and chose to take my business elsewhere. The Meineke in Plainfield is great though if you are over that way. Customer service should always be priority number one, isnt that business 101? too bad they are franchised and you cant get the same service at all locations.

Have had work done in the past and was please then and now! The young black mechanic, sorry I dont know his name, was who Id hoped would do the work. He is very focused and has a can do attitude and great bedside manners when explaining the repair.
