I drop my vehicle off at 11 a.m. to have the air conditioner checked by 4 p.m. the vehicle was ready the air conditioner was charged and the leak was fixed great service

Went in for an oil change. Staff (Kathy and Steve) were very friendly and I was able to drop off/pick up my car in about 2 hours. Had a light on for low tire pressure and Steve took care of that as well. Will definitely be going back so would highly recommend.

My compressor needed replaced which is never a fun repair ($$$) and Downtown Car Care took care of it right away at an extremely honest price, they even found a slightly cheaper part that saved me some money. This mechanic does not do engine work and we were unaware prior to being charged for inspection.We gave them the report from our check engine light at auto-zone and it registered an error with our engine. We would not have come here and payed for work to be done if the job couldnt be finished.They do good work here at a fair price on anything else, which they have done for me in the past. Just dont come in with any engine issues.

Omg my air was low in 1 tire took it here and this guy who reminded me of Wyatt on Ozarks was such a sweetheart fixed it and wouldnt charge me. Steve at Downtown Car Care has been doing maintenance on my cars for almost 10 years. What I appreciate most about Steve is that he is honest. Might not always be the cheapest but I can trust that he will properly diagnose the problem and give me the best options to fix the problem.I recently had an oil leak issue with my Dodge Caravan. Steve tried to fix one area on the van with the hopes that it would stop the leak. He was honest with me and said there could be a chance I still have some leakage but he wanted to start small first (to save me some $). The van was still leaking. I brought it back to Steve and he fixed the issue. I appreciated that he tried to save me money by doing the minimum first and then addressing the next issue as needed.

Solid experience from start to finish! Cathy was helpful when I first called and Bob was great when I picked up my car. I love these independent shops and highly encourage you to use them if you have a need. If youre like me, you hate spending money on car repairs, but when you work with people like this, it makes it less painful!

These folks do things the right way the first time and it shows. Dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation. I expected to have to Uber to work, but was offered a ride by an employee instead. My car was done in a few short hours and the price beat anything I would have paid at the dealership. Reliable service, friendly folks, and an overall great experience.

One of windshield nozzle stopped to work in a snowstorm day. I called them, asking if they could accommodate this repair in their schedule since I couldnt take the highway without this essential item. They were not just able to help my request but got the job done in lass them an hour, and thankfully I was not late for an important meeting on that day.They are very professional. Awesome people!

I used these guys to replace a bad battery. They were quick to get the car in, they were quick to run diagnostics. The price of the replacement was reasonable given the price I googled just for the battery. They even gave me a ride back home once I dropped off the car. I was in and out all before lunch.

Brought my car in for an oil change and the mechanic noticed oil residue where it shouldn’t be. They quickly determined the source and explained what needed to be done. The repair was done quickly and at a reasonable cost. Always great service!

I have been taking my car here since I moved to Indiana a year ago and have always received great service. They always call before starting any repairs and explain what is going on. As someone that does not understand cars, I appreciate the communication that Downtown Car Care has always provided.

I have had nothing but excellent, trustworthy service from this place. Always manages to get to the root of the problem instead of a bandaid fix. I once took it there after getting brake pads somewhere else and wasnt sure afterwards. Downtown Car Care told me they were fine. How honest is that? He could have told me anything. Extremely nice people! Charged a fair price when another auto shop downtown was up-charging me significantly on parts. Dropped my car off before work and they gave me a ride to my office! If you work downtown and need car maintenance this is the place to go.

It took them almost a week to get back to me about my car. I called them inquiring about my car and was told that the secretary didnt know anything about my car but her dad would be calling me back. Her father, Bob, called me back claiming that my water pump, timing belt, and head gasket needed to be replaced. Interestingly enough I had replaced the water pump and timing belt less than a year ago as a preventative measure. Bob told me he would go double check. I called a tow truck to go get my car and take it to the people who had replaced the water pump and timing belt prior. Bob decides that it is okay to start taking apart my car without my permission. I went to the physical shop and told him I was towing the car. He charged me 70 dollars. When asked why I was paying him, he claimed For looking at it. I paid and he said he had to go put back together what he took apart. The tow truck arrived and he said it was good to go just hanging out in the garage smoking his cigar.My other mechanic received my car and called me asking why it was taken apart. I told him the same story I told above and he said yeah the water pump and timing belt are completely fine. This guy is a fraud.

Waisted my time without any sorry. After walk-in on Monday early morning I was scheduled at 8 a.m. on Thursday. I came even earlier to drop my car. During a day nobody called me until I requested a service of giving a drive me back. They did not even try to give any explanations or apologies for the situation having a long line of cars before me, which were left from yesterday. Did not exibit any discomfort of treating customers in such a way.

Brought my car in because it was making a noise after a repair that I did myself. They found and fixed the problem for free since it was a quick thing. Ended up having them do another needed repair and was very happy with the results. Convenient location being downtown, will definitely go back.

Honest and efficient place. Recently got a flat. Replaced the tire somewhere else, but a month later the new tire got flat again. I was worried the wheel was bent and damaged my new tire, so took it to Downtown Car Care. Two hours later they called and explained it was a minor problem (valve stem) and my wheel + tire were fine. Got my car back at noon and paid much less than replacing a wheel and tire.

Professional and courteous. Thankful for their help getting our truck back on the road in a timely manner.

Their location is convenient which is good but everything else was irritating. My car stunk like cigar smoke after an oil change, the prices they quoted for additional work were very high, and after I took it to my regular guy (located in an inconvenient location) he told me quite a bit of the things they said they needed to fix were unnecessary or not due yet.Ill stick with my trusted guy, I guess.

I love Bob. My father is a Master mechanic, 64 years young... bending wrenches for more than 40 years. Recently had a brake problem... Bob mirrored input of my father - pop is no longer able to work on my vehicle. Anyhow, after multiple phone calls and in person conversation, Im truly thankful for them!

I made an appointment for 8:30 on a weekday. I stayed home from work to take my car in and when I arrived they told me they were too backlogged to take my car. No one called in advance to tell me this, so I stayed home from work for no reason. Dont waste your time at this extremely unprofessional place.

This place over charged for parts and labor, ripped friends off on replacing parts that didnt need to be replaced, missing bolts from parts that they replaced, replaced Radiator Fan 15,000 and just over a year and the fan stopped working again. Do not go here unless you want to lose money.

Brought my car in for an oil change and they talked me into purchasing a shocks replacement that I did not need - I only had 30k miles on my car! Please beware of this shop!!!

I gave car to fix the overheating issue, they took 2 days and couldnt find the problem. Moreover they asked me to pay $200 for working on my car for 2 days. When I hesitated to pay that much, they started shouting at me in a rude manner. Very Unprofessional.

Very Unprofessional . I have a vehicle with parts I have already purchased Im just looking to have them installed . Called the older gentleman & asked how much he would charge for Labor Only . In which for my first car part he gave me an Logical Estimate . But once I inquired on my other car parts . He flat out just told me hes not interested in my business at all & hung up on me . Im driving from out of town trying to find a good mechanic to fix my vehicle the last thing I want to occur is rude people who dont have any intentions on fixing my car right . Let alone at all !
