Had issue with my car on the trip from Austin abs wanted to make sure all was good. I brought it to Maywood so I would have that peace of mind!

We have a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD that was stuck in 4 wheel drive. We googled auto shops and went to Maywood Auto based only off of their star rating. We had to have our vehicle towed there and coordinated with Jeff during this whole process. Jeff was very nice and listened to everything we told him that was going on with our truck. We had to have a new transfer case shift motor put in. The mechanics were very persistent even with someone being out of town, they still finished my truck within 2 days! After picking up my truck Jeff was very good at explaining to me what they did although I had spoken to him every day while they had it so he could update me. Typically once you leave a business they send you on about your day and don’t think twice about you. Jeff took it into his hands to text me and make sure my truck is running well still and how it feels! They have wonderful customer service and genuinely care about their customers! I would recommend EVERYONE to come here, you don’t find very many automotive repair shops that care about their customers even once they’ve paid and left. Thank you everyone at Maywood Auto Repair! We‘ll definitely return if we have to!

Maywood Auto Repair is fast, professional, and reasonably priced. My only criticism would be that the parking is kinda tight, but I cant complain about the service at all. I came in to get my cars A/C recharged, and this place lives up to its 5-star reputation.

I had an electrical problem going on with my vehicle after my battery died. I was unsure of the problem and Maywood Auto was there to help. I spoke to Jeff on the phone and he immediately seemed very honest in his work. I told him my problem and he seemed very concerned in finding out if that was true without costing me an arm and a leg to get there. Great guys. Fixed my car and was gone in a day. My 1993 back-up farm truck with over 250,000 miles recently broke down while parked in downtown Independence. The Uber driver taking me to my downtown KC, MO office recommended Maywood Auto Repair as we passed on the way to my office. We U-turned and I met with the owner, Jeff, who arranged to have my truck towed to Maywood Auto Repair. The business is hyper-professional with regard to appearance of the shop, payment methods, clearly explaining what needs to be done (and what doesnt), and most critically for a new customer like myself, performed no work until I was consulted and approved.Jeff and team promptly replaced the starter and performed an oil change all while keeping me informed via text and phone regarding the status of repair as my primary vehicle had been in an accident and unavailable.As previously stated, this truck is old and has not left the farm in over a decade. One week later on I-70 in KCK, a deteriorated tension wheel gave out causing my serpentine belt to disengage requiring replacement. Maywood Auto Repair did such a good job the week prior that I paid ~$170 to have it towed back to Independence, MO. The truck was again promptly repaired and the status was communicated to me via text message, my preferred method of communication during working hours.It is crystal clear after two visits within two weeks that Maywood Auto Repair, its owner/operator, Jeff, operate the business with the highest standard of quality repair, customer service and integrity. I have four drivers and five vehicles in my rural Kansas household. It should speak volumes that a rural Kansas resident is willing to drive over one hour to do business with a competent and honest auto repair service provider. I called this shop asking about a motor problem. They told me it was going to be around 4,500 to fix. Thats a lot of money which i was willing to pay but he told me the honest truth. He didnt even want to work on it because after i get that fixed more problems would occur. Any other shop wouldve just said to bring it in. I appreciate the honesty and just from that i give them five stars.

I have no clue about cars but Jeff and Justin was a big help. They broke it down for me and let me know what needed to be done. They fixed my problem the same day and warned me about the other one’s. Jeff was even kind enough to give me a ride home so I wouldn’t have to spend more money on a Uber. I highly recommend this place for your car needs.

Honest and professional business done here. We brought the car in after a botched dealer done oil change which caused the car to malfunction. They performed the necessary repairs and took photos to show the damage. We were then able to get reimbursed from the dealer for the work performed at Maywood. We will certainly be back for more services.

Jeff and another co-worker came to my house, picked up my truck, and took it to the shop where they replaced the battery. Then they brought the truck back to me. I didnt even have to leave my house. Now THATS what I call service!!

It was my first time to a mechanic on my own. I learned that this is the perfect auto repair shop for newbys! Jeff was working the counter and listened patiently as i tried to describe my concerns. He diagnosed the problem, put a capable mechanic on the job and i was happily on my way within the hour. I will not use any other repair service. These folks are honest, economical and accurate. AC on my car was broken. I needed a place close to my home that would do a good job and wouldnt charge me an arm and a leg. Maywood Auto turned out to be exactly that place.I walked in the front door and was promptly greeted. The guy working the front desk told me that they did not have any time that day to work on my car, but I could make an appointment for the next day.The next day, I arrived at 3pm for my appointment. 2 hours later, my AC was fixed and I was on my way. The price that I paid was fair, and I was treated in an honest manner. I highly recommend this mechanic to anyone.

Took my truck in to have ac fixed the only thing wrong with my truck is was the ac did not work after 4 days they told me computer was bad. I had them hot wire my ac and they said it was ready for pick up. I get my truck back and it was missing and not running good at all. Again they told me it was the computer got my new computer and it still isnt running right after paying 550 plus to them my truck still isnt running. Stay away from this place.

After a bad experience with a national chain, Maywood Auto Repair was a breath of fresh air. Even came in slightly under the estimate for the work! I have known the people at Maywood Auto for several years. I drive from Gladstone to have my vehicle serviced and will not go anywhere else. I have been taking my vehicles here for several years now. They are always honest with me and do good work without charging an arm and a leg. They can be busy (I guess you could say people like them) but they do try to be realistic about the time it will take to get your vehicle done. I also have never felt pressured to do more work than was necessary, which has been a problem for me at other auto shops. Jeff also explains whats going on with your vehicle and the fix they recommend very well.A couple of days after having something fixed on my last vehicle, another issue popped up while I was down the road at a gas station. Two of the guys came down to help me out even after they had just closed up for the day. That really meant a lot! I recommend them to anyone I hear asking about service for their vehicles in the area.

I have had my Jeep serviced at Maywood Transmission for 5 years now. The service is excellent! When my Jeep needs service, I receive prompt and courteous communication about the issue. Maywood Transmission makes accurate diagnosis of the problem as well as using high-quality repair parts so that the its done right the first time. If it’s a large repair, I receive updates about how the repair is coming along. On occasion, when my wife cant pick me up, I have been given a ride home! When talking with other customers in the waiting room, several shared similar experiences to mine, with me. I drive across town to Maywood Transmission because I know that I will be taken care of!

Great professional shop! The manager Jeff even gave me a ride home due to the work taking longer than expected. The trouble shooting by the mechanic was also spot on and the price was less than expected. Highly recommendable!!!

400 dollars to do a simple transmission fluid exchange with a new filter when I have a quote from a Chevrolet dealership where its 180.00And another transmission shop quoted me 139.50These guys are a rip off.Do your research on google.Will never ever recommend these guys!

They always treat me with respect and dont talk down to me because Im a woman. When my Jeep has an issue I know it! Plus they dont fix other problems they see without getting the go ahead from you. Alot of places will say they fixed something they saw (whether they really fixed it or not) to get you to pay more money. Also it was going to take a couple hours and instead of me staring at the walls in their office, someone took me home. And they picked me back up when my Jeep was ready. I always recommend Maywood Transmission to people that ask if i know of a place they can go for their car/truck needs.

These guys are outstanding! They are always friendly and are incredible at explaining the details of what needs to be fixed, and why. I have even received pictures of the parts that need to be replaced, (cracked timing cover) while they were still on the vehicle. This just goes to show the honesty associated with this establishment, I trust them entirely, after being extremely ripped off and lied to at another auto repair shop, these guys have done incredible work to repair the damage that was done there. They take terrific care of my beloved truck, I cant say enough, Take it from one that has learned a lesson the hard way, Go to these guys first, you can trust them. I wish I would have started here.

These guys are great. I broke down on jan 6 when it was -3 degrees outside. They towed my van to their shop, gave me a ride home, and picked me up at home when the van was done. The courtesy and helpfulness they showed me and the professional and timely care of my van has made a customer for life.

Their face value customer service is great. Until you become a customer, and experience inconsistencies. Then they go from being full of great customer service, to finger pointing, and being full of excuses. They were very unprofessional to me. At the end of the day, it took them two full days to replace my brakes. Which I had to have replaced again 9 months later. They cross threaded the drain plug on the oil pan, which could have been very costly. Please learn from my mistake, and spare yourself the trouble. RE: How are you going to be dishonest in your respose? You in fact did not cover my drain plug. You offered me a discounted oil change. I however do not let people who cannot perform simple repairs with in a normal time frame touch my vehicle a 2nd time. Your mechanic was unable to screw in a bolt. The easiest thing to do in the worId. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday for brakes, and did not receive it back until Wednesday. I do not have time to have my time wasted with poor results. I will just continue to go to the Ford dealership from now on.

First off I want to state that we love our 2010 Jeep Wrangler. We are full time RVers and travel around the country. We flat tow our Jeep and it is our everyday vehicle. With that being said we really enjoy taking it off road and are not afraid to use it for what it was built for. After seven days of 4wheelin in Ouray, CO we ended up in Independence, MO and found Maywood Auto Repair. The main reason for visiting this shop was to have the Jeep serviced and to question (what we thought) small issues. Stan and Jeff had their techs go through it with a fine tooth comb. They found some issues that we didnt even know were there. They took the time and showed us each concern and gave us options and recommendations on corrective actions. They fixed each item and made sure that we could see and understand what was happening. When we got our Jeep back it ran and drove as smooth as when it was new. We have made some life long friends and they now have some loyal customers. Whenever we are even close to that part of the country we will stop by. With them being a NAPA shop, we can drive with confidence knowing wherever we are at all NAPA approved shops will cover any warranty parts and labor done.The work we had done was: Engine service, transmission service, tire rotation, upper and lower ball joints, front axle U-joints, rear brake pads, trail dash computer and pod, hood vent, rattle from skid plate.Scott & Ann
