This place is amazing! They have so many bike accessories and bikes in store. Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. Dave, the store manager, walked us out and asked us if we needed help loading our bikes. And Chris there, was so enthusiastic about bikes, he gave great recommendations on great bike trails to check out! Definitely a pleasant experience here.

I had an excellent experience with Jax HB. I contacted the store through their website form and general manager Dave quickly replied. He confirmed the bike I wanted and responded with an affirmative once the online order was placed, including a tubeless tire conversion. I just got in to biking. I have minimal knowledge of bikes. My wife was gifted a giant road bike that needed some basic tune ups. Came here and anthony was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and was very curious he was patient with us and was able to get my wife ready to ride. 4 months later i brought my bike in and he was able to help me out as well. This place is honest and they have great customer service. I highly recommend this place. There is plenty of bike shops closer to my home but id rather drive the extra distance.

Today my husband and I went to Jax to look for grips for our bikes. Door was closed and a young man came to open it and ask what we were interested in. Jax has become a very closed door bike shop since Covid. Orange county has no mask mandate at this time and full vaccinated people should be allowed in like most other Orange County businesses. Because we did not have a mask we were turned away. Very disappointed.

Walked in today lol hence the thorn in my tire halfway through my ride for the day. First visit to Jax guaranteed not to be my last I was very pleasantly surprised at the hospitality and service and the very fair prices!! Made me feel like Id been a customer and a friend for years!!! A lot of businesses could learn quite a bit from these folks! The whole experience was pleasant from the moment I walked in the door until I rode back out! Thanks so much! I had previously purchased a Yakima bike rack from another store/supplier in Costa Mesa, but was not really pleased with the service there, nor was I getting any help in getting them to fix an issue with the rear holder, which required this special alan key/tool only found in a bike shop. I recently bought a few beach cruisers here from Jacks and really loved the staff and service. So, I knew they were likely to be a better resource to help resolve my other issue with my rack, even though it wasn’t even their work. When I went in yesterday, one of the managers brought some tools outside and totally fixed my issue right there on the spot without even mentioning the point of me not purchasing the equipment here in their store.. My rack is back to new! Thank you guys.. You guys are great and really take care of your customers, regardless of the matter. You’ll be seeing me again for any and all bike needs. Thanks..

I came in for a quick tuneup on my bike, but I ended up staying, coming back the next day, and ultimately purchasing a brand new Trek bike solely because of Alyssa in sales.I am incredibly new to biking but loving it, and I was super intimidated to go into a bike shop, but Alyssa was beyond cool and patient and explained things in a way that made sense to me given my limited cycling knowledge. And she even laughed at my jokes! ;) Most importantly, she literally listened to every single bullet point on my list of things that mattered and only showed me products that checked those boxes.I know I didn’t buy the most expensive bike in the place (not even close) but it was a very large purchase for me personally, and she handled it as if it was a $5000 bike.The guys in the repair shop were absolutely awesome for my existing bike as well as my new bike since I bought some accessories that they installed right then and there. I was on my way to a big group ride, when my chain broke. I took my bike in one hour before closing to have the chain replaced and to my surprise they had the part and was able to get my bike back within 30 minutes. I was able to join the group of riders and the day was saved. Thank you

I recently purchased a mens beach cruiser bike for my husband at the Huntington Beach location and had exceptional service both times that I visited! Connor and Mike or Michael (I believe that was his name?) were incredibly helpful, polite, knowledgeable and friendly.They helped me not only find a great bike for my husband, but they also helped advise on which bike lock would be best (since his original bike was recently stolen). Wow! Absolutely amazing customer service as well as repair service on my high end bike overhaul. These days bike stores are so overwhelmed with tons of people and, on a busy Saturday I saw them taking care of people efficiently, politely and with great enthusiasm. It was hard to find someone who I would trust to tear down my entire bike and these guys did amazing! Came back immaculately clean with indexing very efficient. Also were able to diagnose wear on parts for my Velo Care. This review is for Jax HB. Go see the manager Dave and you will be set!

Great service facility, I jumped in on the flat tire club and when I take my bike in it gets turned around in 15 minutes or so. Just a history note, the bike in question is a Dyno that was my first purchase when we moved to HB in 1999 from JAX, and theyve kept it running ever since.I also appreciate all the COVID compliance they have in place. May they be around for another 20 years.

For as busy and in demand as the shop is, everyone is super helpful like it’s a small town business. John was super welcoming and has a great way of letting you know more about what’s going on with the shop in natural conversation; which connected me more with it. It’s really great.The service guys are awesome! My bike was finished when they said it would be and they were super knowledgeable about my bike and things wrong with it as if they only worked on my bike that day. No one is rushing you in or out or rushing a conversation. Totally unexpected with how busy they are and have been. You can tell everyone really loves their work.Price was incredibly reasonable. I can’t say enough how great it is to have this shop in my neighborhood.Nothing but a great experience

I purchased my Trek bicycle and flat tire insurance policy from Jax back in mid April. I bicycle about 10-15 miles per day here in Huntington Beach so the insurance is very important. So last week I experienced a flat tire during my afternoon ride. The following morning, I called Jax to explain my problem and they said bring it on in to their service shop. Within 15 minutes, the tire tube was replaced and I was out of there. Very professional! A happy customer is someone who gets what they thought they were buying! I did!

I was never a fan but today I got wow service. Came for some air and a young took my bike in and came back fully aired up. Then asked if we needed anything else 10 mintues later bot our seats were perfect. My quick release was jacked up but since its Jax he fixed it as well.I know if I have an issue I will come back.

Called the Huntington Beach location on Friday, left a voicemail.Sully called me back later same day. We had a great conversation during which he did a great comparison between the two electric bicycles from Electra--I had called to ask if these two were in stock.Sully was quick in letting me know the color options--very important--as well as HIS availability. He did that because he is actually going to be out on extended leave but I really appreciated the follow through.Based on the phone exchange with Sully, I was probably already sold, truth be told.I went store the next day and buy one of the two electric bicycles. I canceled my Saturday plans so that I could continue the sales exchange with Sully.Sully was really easy to talk to, first of all. I dont know too much about bicycles and I havent a clue if it showed but Sully was responsive to my questions and always added on his additional knowledge and expertise to every answer--on top on just answering the specific question.For example, if I asked about battery range and power, he went into how the newton meters play a factor in terms of hill climbing ability and its effect on battery range.Every questions fluidly explored other information about the bicycles that I found useful.Saturday, I canceled my San Diego beach bike ride plans and headed to Huntington Beach.I went to the store. Sully, once again, explained the differences between the Electra Townie Go! 8D electric bicycle and the Electra Go! 5i electric bicycle.I AM extremely satisfied with my purchase! We had a beautiful day of riding around Hunting Beach. Unlike my previous REI electric bicycle, I had NO knee pain.As much as I LOVE and ADORE my new bike that I have named Lucy, the BEST part of the exchange was Sullys personal feedback on bicycles and accessories based on his exchanges with his wife and her bicycle and their cycling adventures together.Sully also mentioned that Jax is a family owned business that us local. They constantly provide great insights and support for my personal workings on my rides, as well as do the services I don’t feel capable of on my own ( our just want done right, the first time 😝lol). John the sales manager did an excellent job of getting our order in for a new pedal assist bike in the middle of a pandemic. Calling the store did not work but every time I emailed John he either responded immediately or called me. The bike was ready to pick up within five days of placing our order.

I was actually very surprised by the service here. I had to wait outside in the hot sun for about 20 minutes before I got to the front, only to have an employee tell me it will take them 2 weeks to fix my flat tire.I then took my bike to HB cycles right down the street and they were super nice and helpful. They fixed it in 15 minutes.

The owner went out of his way to go find the exact bike that I wanted...the same day!!!! I went to three other bike stores prior and was told it would be 3-4 weeks before I could get exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much for your amazing customer service and making it a great birthday!!!

Jax Bicycle Center in Huntington Beach far exceeded my expectations.When I broke the valve on my bike tire, I took my bike back to where I purchased it to have it repaired. The repair tech, Anthony, listened to my plight and reassured me he could fix it with no problems. I expected that, but what I didn’t expect was what happened next.He asked whether I had purchased the flat repair insurance. I didn’t remember but he checked. He didn’t have to ask. He could have just made the repair and charged me the fee. I wouldn’t have been the wiser. Because he did, however, he sealed the deal on my next bike and related purchases. I want to be associated with honest business people who do the right thing, even when it doesn’t benefit their bottom line.Thanks Anthony! Show this review to your boss. You deserve a raise!

I drive past several other bike shops to get here because of the customer service I get from Anthony Cox. I have never been helped SO much to understand my bike better and to keep it running smoothly. I picked up a sweet deal on a carbon road bike. Anthony was very patient and answered all my questions both on the phone and in person. Trying to buy a bike online can be overwhelming. Nothing beats a person a person customer service experience you get here.

This bike shop is amazing I brought my one of a kind tricycle to get worked on and they took on the project no questions asked. Most bike shops are just basic, meaning they only have skills to work on generic bikes and only new stuff, this store had some excellent talent all the guys are capable and can work on all types of bikes and get most parts from there distributors to take on any type of challenge you have an old bike new bike custom bike one-off bike they can take care of it these guys are excellent at what they do The one person that worked on my bike his name was Anthony and I couldnt be more happy that he took on my project these guys are awesome

I walked in with a tire issue. Was greeted with a friendly girl at the counter. She directed me to Service Dept. There the guy was so nice. He took my bike right away. Told me how long it would take, so we went across the street for lunch. Shortly after, he called me informing me, my bike was ready. What service!! :). Was able to ride away to enjoy the air show.Thank you for having such a friend staff.

Ive been going to Jaxs for almost 5 years now. Service department has always been excellent. My son bought his bike there a couple of years ago and I just bought my first electric bike there a month ago. I had to drive from Long Beach, Ca. to Huntington because my Jax Bike shop was not open. They did a great job as I needed tubes, new tires and CO2 cartrigies, they all were in stock! Alwasy friendly and willing to help..

Let me start by saying that I have never before left a negative review online. I went to Jax while 15 miles into a 30 mile ride. I needed to tighten my freewheel (yes, an old bike with a freewheel) which Id just serviced a few nights ago and not tightened enough. I have the tool to do it at home, but hadnt taken it with me. I went in to Jax and asked if either I or they could tighten the freewheel. The guy looked at the bike which has quick-release wheels and said Well, Id have to put it on the rack and remove the wheel to get to it. Ill have to charge you. I figured that he meant a buck...maybe two. I offered to take the wheel off which wouldve taken all of five seconds. He still told me itd be $10! Ten dollars for 30 seconds of his time -and thats being generous and allowing him to walk to fetch the tool. If you do the math, thats $1200 an hour. Why become a brain surgeon if a bike mechanic can charge that. I told the guy after deciding out of principle to leave, that hed have a better chance staying open if he had good rapport with the community. I realize that he wants to run a business, but there are better ways to stay in business with todays online competition... like offering fantastic customer experience and service which online retailers cant offer.

The place is going down hill. The selection is weak and the staff is really lazy. They act like they dont want to be there; much less work. The place probably wont last much longer.

Good service but high prices.My bike had a flat tire so I took it here for an estimate on repairs. The gentleman working that day was super helpful and told me what needed to be done and how much it would cost. It was more than what I paid for the bike, so I didnt go through with the repairs but I definitely liked the friendly service!

They don’t pick up the phone, either way I’m not paying that useless phone bill. 👌🏽

The Jax (Huntington Beach) service team has always been nothing short of outstanding. Every time Ive ever needed any sort of service, the Jax service team has gone way above and beyond to ensure Im well taken care of. Ive had a number of very positive experiences over the years. For example, while I cycle far more than the average cyclist (150 miles a week), I dont know anything about the bikes themselves. One time the wrong chain was installed on my bike by accident -- something I would have never discovered. When bringing the bike in for an unrelated matter, the service representative caught the issue and informed me that they made a mistake and installed the wrong chain. They replaced the chain immediately without charge. This displayed a high level of honesty by the staff and it only gave me confidence that I wouldnt be charged or sold on something I really didnt need. Another time I brought the bike in for major service (annual tune-up) and made unreasonable requests in terms of timing. Megan, the former services manager, made it happen for me. Even though I had no reasonable grounds for expecting such a quick turn around, they knew I really needed it and made it happen. On another occasion, I randomly brought the bike by (during a ride) because the cassette was making weird noises. A service rep took it apart right then and there, cleaned it, fixed the problem immediately and put it back on my bike no charge. The current service manager has also provided me with outstanding service. He put in a significant amount of time and effort to get my power meter repaired with Stages. He put in the warranty request, dealt with the stages team, sent in the power meter and only changed me $10 for the installation. While Jax may not have made a lot on this transaction, customers remember and it will most certainly come back around. This is why Ive spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Jax and will remain a loyal customer. Thanks for being great!
