A great experience with Mike. This guy understands the needs of his customers. He helped me upgrade my older Trek 800. Well rounded bike shop with a great Owner/Tech. Just an all around good place.

Went shopping here about a year and a half ago and got talked into buying a more expensive bike than I wanted because it was supposed to be better quality and hold up more than the bike I was originally interested in. At first it was a nice bike but after a few rides one of the peddles busted. I replaced that and then on the 4th of July something else busted and my rear tire ended up rubbing on the chain and I had to stop riding. Ended up walking it home by lifting up the back end, luckily it was only about a mile away but still...for a bike that was supposed to be tough, it sucks. I might have gotten a lemon, taking it to a repair shop to check it out and get a 2nd opinion, but seems like way too many repairs for a low mileage bike

I thought about not trusting the reviews and gave this shop a try. Nope. Got work done and decided to buy a bike seat while I was there. I could have easily put it on myself because I do routine work but thought he would do it as a courtesy since I was getting other work done and he didn’t mention it was extra. Nope, charged me $9 bucks + tax for putting it on. I’m not cheap, but it’s the principle. Not coming back. Better service on West Beach Blvd. HB.

I just want to thank Mike for the great advice and even more for the amazing bike he sold me. They have a great selection of accessories and the prices are very competitive, no need to buy online. I will be back in the near future for another bike.

Superb in every sense of customer service. In the presence of a pandemic, whereafter our governor has approved of stepping outside with caution, this business owner stands to delivery a quality service, in a timely manner. On three different occasions, I have needed the experience of a professional to diagnose what I, nor YouTube could find a solution to.If you’re like me, you’ll want to give it a go yourself in order to understand what it is you are doing. With that being said, if you are like me, you’re going to need some help before giving up on the project altogether. From replacing a broken chain, to replacing inner tubes & flats, Mike(the business owner) has always taken care of this bike enthusiasts. While you’re inside the shop, pay careful attention because Mike is as informative as he is patient. Don’t be surprised if he drops a little knowledge onto your plate

This shop is right around the corner from where I live and its the only place I go to for accessories or things I need to fix our bikes. The owner is a very nice and personable man- and hes always been very helpful. All of the negative reviews on here are just odd - maybe the people who posted them werent nice customers or had a rude tone first...? Anyway, Id recommend this shop to anyone.

I seriously have not idea how this shop stays open. I have been to the shop twice and both times the man/owner is rude. I went in to ask him a couple of questions and he basically said hes working and too busy.He also said that he does not do repair and only flat repairs.Told me to call another shop. Not sure if he just has no personality, does not like women or is independently wealthy and stays open for the fun of being rude to people.I will never set foot in the store again.

Yes, the owner is very rude and once asked him when browsing his shop waiting for a haircut next door where most of the bikes were made now? He never answered by kept replying where do you want them to be made very sarcastically? He was not in a good mood so I walked out.Its amazing he has been in business this long.I purchased some bikes from him in the past but never again.

Mike was simply amazing in understanding the sentimental value of restoring my fiances bike for my son. My fiance passed away October 2017 and was ever present during my sons first 12 years of life. And having this bike fixed so my son can you use it on a daily basis means the world to me. Thank you Mike you rock

The store sign is required masks but the owner no mask to talk to customers. He is unprofessional, no skills of communication, does not want to answer/ or try not to understand the questions(?) when my husband and I came to ask in order to buy our bicycle tires. He gave wrong opinion such as fixing the bicycle would be drop in store 1 month to fix. Today we went to Papa Willies to fix the bike,it took 2 h to fix.

Unfortunately, the owner has no regard for pleasing the customer, he tried to charge me $40 to put in a spoke on a rim. I went to Golden West swap meet and got it done for $3, yes $3... I had a great experience at this store. John and Mike were more than helpful; they truly know their bikes! Prices are competitive and flexible. I not only purchased my new bike but also came back and had my old bike repaired. Great service. I dont know what the other review is talking about. This bike store has been here since 1965 and I hope it stays for many many more years.

I called before I came in to inquire about a hitch mounted bike rack. The manager was super helpful over the phone and we showed up a few minutes later. He walked us through all our options and then once we selected, he took us outside and mounted it onto our truck!! He went one step further and helped us install all three bicycles on to the rack. They had new bicycles and lots of accessories in the shop. I really believe he went above and beyond for us and his customer service was phenomenal. I would definitely come back and HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Awesome place, I really like a place that doesnt bug me with people that say hello all the time, walked in looked around asked a few questions received the answers I was looking for and left. I just called to check on cost to tune up my bicycle, and the guy who answered sounded a little kid with no customer service, and told me from $59 to $120. I explained to him, it is just to check it out and make sure everything is functional, he was irritated and said from $59 to $120. I did that at Bike shop in Santa Monica, and they charged me $14.99. The owner should hire more mature patient kids, or he should run it himself.

Even though this bike shop has been here for a while I wouldnt ever buy another bike from them again. In total Ive bought 7 bikes from this place and I just called to ask if I could possibly get a box for a Schwinn boys bike I just bought because the box it came in was too tore up to wrap for Christmas and the guy who answered the phone acted like he didnt have time to even look or maybe try and remember to save me the next box they were throwing out within the next few days or weeks before Christmas. And Im sure if I were calling about a potential purchase of another bike his attitude would have been totally different.

Terrible customer service, disgusting attitudes and abhorrent customer treatment!! This place is where incompetence meets arrogance! I went in to get a new set of brake pads for my bike. The jerk behind the counter was more interested in whatever was on his phone than making a sale. When I asked the sales associate if he had the product that I was looking for, he just chuckled and said yeah rite. When I asked him to show me a certain bike he groaned in exasperation and promptly walked me to the door. Once at the door he asked if I had the cash on hand to purchase the bike, I said no. To which he replied if you cant afford it then Im not wasting my time by taking it down off the rack, just so you can look at it & not buy. As I was walking out of the store I told him that what he just said was very inappropriate, to which he replied you think so, huh? Well too damn bad! and closed the door behind me.This is the worst bike shop in all of Orange County!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague!! If you need a bike store just drive another 1.5 miles east down Edinger, there is an awesome bike shop across from Bella Terra in back of the Taco Bell parking lot. I cant remember remember what that place is called but they are always very helpful and attitude-free :)

Ok....so I read the reviews after the third time in over two years. I went in today to have a paddle and crank arm put on, back tire truer and a new chain put on....all things needed I bought there three weeks earlier. I walked in with my bike, up to the counter and said hello guys.......hi the tech said very softly like I was bugging him....and yes I said guys, case there was two guys....nothing out of the other dude...I put all my parts on the counter and asked if they had time to do everything today....the tech said yeah...still working and me at the counter....I asked why my paddle would not tread on the crank arm as Im trying to show him....now the tech is at the counter....he said just leave it and I get it, dont worry....I said great....but can u show me please....its been bugging me for two weeks, cause I tried and tried....dont worry I got it he says....so this goes back and farther for a min or less...by now the other guy comes over....which I find out later is the owner....lol....he says.... Im not going to show u cause then if he showed everyone we wouldnt need his shop......this started a 15 to 20min argument with him and in....THE MAN EVEN PASSED ME AS I WAS LEAVING HIS SHOP!!!! He was such a good business owner we agreed out side the hole time in front of his shop....meaning times I pointed this out and his response was oh while there not shopping here right now.....I have layers, doctor and meaning people smarting then you....will never go again and will tell everyone I know about this guy!!!!

Poor customer service.Went in to see about getting the front forks/handle bars tightened on my kids bike, as they had unusual tightening mechanism that I couldnt figure out even after trying to take apart. I was the only customer in store at the time and and the pompous owner guy blows me off as I try to show him and he advises I needed an allen wrench and walks by to help some elderly couple who had just come in. I was more than willing to leave my bike and expected to pay for his services, maybe $20 - whatever, but he wasnt interested in helping me. I advised him I wouldnt be back again.Of course he was wrong about the allen wrench and i got it resolved elsewhere with much friendlier, helpful staff.Recommend Prozac.

I have had a long-standing relationship with this bicycle shop, a true family bike shop that is part of the cycling community, from fat-tire cruisers to road bikes to off-road full-suspension bikes, even branching into electric bicycles now and then. The owner Mike is interested in all things cycling, and his inventory reflects that. As you enter this shop, youre surrounded by bikes, seats, bells, helmets, everything. Dont come here for a Costco experience. This is a real bike shop with real people. He and his staff can pretty much work with anything, old bikes with rusty frames and flat tires that you recovered from your moms garage, or the crazy new tech stuff. Give this place a try. They have what you need.David

I just needed a presta to schrader adapter which I bought for $2.15 (most shops have them for $1.00) then I needed to use the compressor to attempt to see if a tubeless conversion wheel I am building would hold air or if I need more rim tape so the tire will seat properly with the conversion strip. The guy said he couldnt just let me use it but he could do it though he would have to charge me even though I had just made a purchase. He seemed awfully put out and more interested in money than in helping a cyclist. when I explained what I was doing and dared to ask if he knew about tubeless, he pompously said I know all about it as if offended. He reluctantly made an attempt to put air in and when it wouldnt work he just said there is something fundamentally wrong without offering any solution (which I didnt actually need). I have worked in many bike shops and was looking for a good, helpful one locally. I wont be going back.

The Owner is a douchebag and I dont see how hes still in business with that nasty attitude he has. Extremely unhelpful and terrible customer service. We went in to get an inner tube for a front jogger stroller wheel. The Owner wanted to charge me $12 to put it in!! It took us 5 minutes to pop the old one out and pop the new one in I couldnt believe that rubbish and his Son was so afraid of him he was afraid to help us women but he offered anyway and his Dad was just yelling at him and his brother I felt so bad for the teenage boys. Spend your money elsewhere. Theres a really nice bicycle shop on Gothard called Streetrider and another one on Edinger called Surf City Cyclery and they are super nice guys at both shops. I would have made the extra 5 minute drive to either shop had I know what a creep the Owner is at this shop. 0 Stars!!!
