A great shop that can handle any repair. I had a service issue that was fixed quickly and with very fair pricing. The owner knows his stuff and takes pride in customer satisfaction. Many accessories in stock too. Highly recommend.

Today I came in with a problem with my steerer tube on my old 2005 fuji pro. I needed a plug that would increase the strength of my steerer tube since its carbon. They took a look at it and swapped out my plug for something that I was from their bins for free. They tighten it up and everything too! This store is awesome.

I want to start saying that Ive been a customer for 3 years.Today I experienced a very bad service, and the employee was having a bad attitude towards me. All I wanted was a bit of help finding what I needed for a bike, and I felt like he was rushing me. I have been going with them for quite some time and today just made me seem disappointed because I never expected one of the employees to have a bad attitude towards his own clients.

Tire blew out a mile from the shop but thank goodness HB was nearby!! They had me out on the road in 5 minutes!! Highly recommend!

I have been using Candy for my bike repairs and maintenance for several years. He can pinpoint any issues without overcharging me. Wouldnt take my bike to any other shop! I have a Specialized S-Works Mountain Bike and Blue Triad SL TT Bike.

Ive been fortunate enough to have the HB Velo Team work on my Mondraker Foxy MTB. Customer service here is unmatched and I will continue to come back every time. Candy and his team fully understand everything when it comes to bikes and how they function. If your needing a high end bike worked on of any sort this is the place to be in Orange County. Best bike shop in Huntington Beach by far.

Over the years, whenever Ive been unable to fix my own bike(s), Ive always relied on Candy Lopez as my go-to master bike mechanic. Hes always honest (sometimes brutally so), very straightforward and ethical, doesnt over-sell, and does the best job by far on repairing whatever needs to be fixed. Candys new store (HB Velo Cyclery) is in a great location, and has a good selection of bikes, parts, accessories & gear. And whatever may not be in stock can be special-ordered & in, within a couple business days. Great location, cool bike shop!

Took a trip to Huntington Beach to visit Candy at HB Velo Cyclery. You can immediately tell you are in a business that cares about their customers. Both Candy and Mark are extremely passionate about excellent customer service! I found a great selection of bikes and accessories. If you need your bike tuned up, I would not go anywhere else. HB Velo Cyclery is a a great bike shop! It has a small business owner feel to it, which I love, and the guys there are personable, professional, and really know their stuff! My bike had been sitting for a long time and I had a lot of questions about how to get it back to a similar condition as to when I first bought it. They answered all my questions, gave me options that fit within my budget, and did a cost analysis to see if it was worth servicing/repairing versus buying a new bike. I felt fully informed before making my decision to service and repair my bike. The turn around was really fast too; I had my bike back within 2 days and it looked and rode amazing! I couldnt be happier with the service there and will definitely be going back for all of my future bike needs!

I take my bike here because Candy doesnt try to sell me stuff I dont need. When I brought my bike into Performance Bicycle to install aero bars, they tried to push me into getting a whole new crank set. I wasnt having any problems with it and it didnt seem worn out to me, so I passed on their pushy sales. I later took my bike to Candy for a new chain and he confirmed my crank is in good condition. He knows what he is doing and is conservative in what he recommends. My bike runs like new.

HB Velo is hands down the best customer service I’ve received in the SoCal area. Candy (the owner) went out of his way to help me with a last minute issue that a lot of other shops would have rolled their eyes at. Candy is legit and HB Velo is the only place I’ll trust to service my bike in SoCal!

I was in desperate need of someone to make simple adjustments and to tell me what was wrong with my Cannondale system six with sram force components on it. Not only did Candy fix the minor issues which other places couldn’t do right the first 2x but he found other problems that could’ve caused me serious harm in the future. I ride hard and often so having him make these repairs didn’t only fix the problems I was having but essentially kept me safe. I’m a professional athlete who’s lively hood depends on me being safe and healthy in season and in long term Candys repairs did exactly that... kept me safe. Didn’t over charge and also took his time to explain everything to me. Really really exceptional service. I’ll be back for sure and I’ll also bring my wife’s Cannondale CADD 10 in soon!!
