Breakfast at this cute, local vegan joint was refreshing this morning. modern chic designs and earthy hip vibes greeted me as I walked into the the large garden patio and through the restaurant doors.you can feel the intention created into this space. the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and peaceful.after looking over the menu, I informed the lady at the counter that it was my first time visiting and asked for suggestions on their tacos. she was super helpful and suggested the potato & quinoa taco which I ordered along with the vegan Korean BBQ taco. interestingly enough, the beans and potato in one taco paired well with the slightly salty BBQ from the other taco which gave the meal a well rounded flavor that I enjoyed.the best part - their exotic coffee selection! they use ingredients unlike any place Ive been before: saffron, ginger, red chili, pistachio & coconut cream. my final decision, which did not disappoint, the pistachio latte with almond milk. Ill definitely be back to try the other choices of coffee.

Definitely something I wasn’t used to but it could surely grow on me. Vegan meals are something I want to partake in or transition to. The interior was eccentric and warm. Customer service was nice and patient.

It was delicious I’m not going to lie. But pricey. My brother took me for the first time. Even though he was paying I felt bad that for the portion to price, it was a pricey taco. But it was very good.

Extremely nice staff, beautiful and peaceful patio, and delicious coffee and food. I’m not sure if they have any gluten-free options, but it’s 100% vegan. They were also nice to my small dog and we had a very good time there.

Due to boil water notice here in Houston, the coffee options were slim - basically a non-espresso latte. The drink was still much better than the chain coffee shops. I had the Korean Taco, nice and spicy. Im glad to see them back open after months of being closed due to COVID-19

I took my wife here so we could try this vegan restaurant. My wife ordered an iced coffee that was smooth and good tasting.I ordered a Korean BBQ Taco $4.77 that had a little spicy taste to me.My wife ordered Potato & Quinoa Taco $4.77 tasted goodThe prices were very good and reasonable.I look forward to going back to try something else on the menu.Oh yeah, it was too hot the day we went, but there is a nice patio area to sit and eat at.

The tacos, muffins, smoothies, and everything/coconut bars are amazing. Hawaiiano is my favorite drink! The outdoor seating is beautiful and peaceful. One of my favorite places in Houston for sure!

Short Houston trip to experience art and the outdoor space. By far, this spot is just dope! Incredible outdoor patio and individual seating, you can just feel how much intention was placed into creating this. Being from Austin, with a comparable art and food truck scene, I was impressed enough for this to be my first review. And the employees have such a great vibe. Keep it up ya’ll!!

This place is amazing, I recommend all vegan and food lovers in Houston to come try the food here! Breakfast tocos are delicious and coffees are great, I will definitely come back to give the rest of the menu a try, smoothies look very attractive. Glad this place opens up in the AM, not many vegan restaurants in Houston open up this early, so for The Doshi House I am grateful!

This is a great coffee snack and candy shop to relax with great energy and great customer service. Everybody there is very nice. They been closing early at 05:00 pm due to new renovation and new things coming up.

This place was sooooo cute:) I got a cortado with oat milk and a cinnamon roll and it was the cherry on top to my morning. The employees are so wonderful. I didnt catch any of their names but they helped me out with my gift card and they let me borrow one of their books...will definitely be returning for more coffee and returning the book when Im done of course...thankyou so much!

YES!!!! This place is like perfect to me. I havent been here in years, but god I missed the chai. Housemade. Best chai ive ever had. They made a super cute patio out back that would be so cute for a morning coffee date. I love their paninis and tacos, everythings always seasoned so well. The Doshi House is a dope cozy communal health conscious coffee shop in historic Third Ward.They have been quietly stationed at the intersection of Emancipation and Holman for approximately 8 years, as of December 2019. Back in October of 2019, they had a remodeling that radiates mellowness.The interior lighting is warm and soft. The tables are a deep brown and show antique wear. The floor is a slate colored porcelain tile. The bar has a nice quartzite counter with hidden lights that illuminate the surface. And suspending just above the bar are a few modern metallic geometric pendant lights complementing the interior feng shui.For seating, options abound.The interior has two small sofas.A little over half a dozen tables and chairs hug the walls. And in the center is a large wooden table that can accommodate seating for a group of eight. The bar can seat three, but there is not a recess along the side, so I found it uncomfortable to sit with my knees facing forward. There is also a spacious backyard for outdoor seating.The team...chill.They were knowledgeable about the menu and willing to offer suggestions.Surprisingly, got an opportunity to speak with the owner. He was actually working alongside the other baristas. That’s a rare spectacle.He seemed easygoing and down-to-earth.Regarding the menu, I tried the Butterfly.It’s a seasonal coffee that has a shot of espresso, ginger, cocoa syrup, and a choice between oat or almond milk. Went with oat. It was smooth and pretty good, exhibiting a nice balance of sweetness and spice.A heads up to those who haven’t been, they are a cashless business. The only way you can pay with cash is if you get a re-chargeable gift card. The card is free, but it is an additional piece of plastic to add to your purse/wallet. Good grief.A kudo. The background music isn’t blaring. Thank you. 🙏Loud music is a bothersome trait I too often experience at other coffee shops.Aside from that, the playlist 🎵 had me shazaming. 😊👍There is wi-fi, of course.Parking can be tight when it’s busy, which is often. Ordered a pistachio and cardamom iced latte and it was great! Also enjoyed the asado fresca taco with textured soy protein. It really had a meaty texture. Also shared a monkey bread from Sinfull Bakery. They heated up the pastry and the coffee refills were free, they even added oat milk and brown sugar no charge! Great service and interesting flavors!

Why and when did the tacos become so expensive? The quality is good, but I dont want to pay $1 per bite. This is just crazy to me. Tacos this size should in no way cost more than $3.50 total. They are now costing nearly $5 after tax. Its too much! Like, I know how much potatoes and beans cost.

Doshi house is brilliant! From its delectable Indian inspired food served with fried banana chips and coffees made with love, doshi house is haven for creativity and good conversation. The environment is friendly and transcends borders and divisions and that is reflected by the people that visit it. Do yourself a favor and come here!

The food is amazing. So full of flavor! Everything we tried was delicious. I recommend the Not so Butter Chicken and a Zest spritzer. It was awesome!

The only other place I know in US where I can get my vegan indian kadak chai besides my house..:)..love the little cafe and the philosophy behind it..my usual place to go to get my tea in the morning when I am in Houston...

I passed it a few times because the outside doesnt have an obvious sign. It almost looks like an abandoned building. But inside its chill, there are plugs for your electronics. Its a nice atmosphere. I came for the vegan options and I wasnt disappointed. They have a nice selection of teas and smoothies. Not a large menu, old furniture and tables. I had a really nice conversation. I would go again.

Very clean inside and very nice

Lets start with the positive. Like the majority of reviews state, the coffee is freaking awesome. Try the Mughal latte. It has a saffron spice that you will be amazed by. I know it doesnt sound good, but trust me-it is worth trying. The staff is very friendly. The Turkish coffee was also great (see picture). Negatives - the physical condition of the property is not great. But they are working on it. Also, they dont have decaf. The music can be a little loud, but it is pleasant. So, not quite five stars... yet, but a great experience. Ill be back.

The one and only reason why I didnt give this place 5 stars was because it was so dang hard to find. No business name outside, not even a street number! I had to go in and ask.That aside, the food was filling in a good way and delicious, while the drinks were very refreshing and good, like their smoothies! Their cappuccinos pack a little more punch than I expected with the caffeine, which was a pleasant surprise from the bland cappuccinos Ive had in the past. A great, relaxing place!

Not a good experience. Will look for another place to buy hot beverages for my employees.

Super cool spot. I met up with a friend I met via instagram here. Great place to meet up and talk with people and dog friendly outside. They have a really beautiful outdoor garden and patio area with an area for meditation. Really zen and chill vibes. Also I got the saffron coffee and one of the breakfast tacos and let me tell you, Im drooling now just thinking about how delicious it was. Highly recommend this super cool spot!

Great place to eat and the ambience and decor was perfect. The owner was super nice, he even had the time to talk to us and enform us about healthy eating while he was busy. Best part is that my daughter even loved the spinach and banana chips. That was truly shocking. Will definitely go again to try the other items on the menu.

Love this local coffee spot. I had the cold brew and my friend had a vegan taco that she says she always gets when shes here, I cant wait to try that when I come back. Cozy vibe and sunny atmosphere with a really nice back yard. A 3rd Ward treasure for sure!

Comfortable and clean with decent parking. Great staff and relaxed atmosphere. Once, staff even served up dinner to go when we came in hungry right before closing.

This is such a neat aesthetic little place. The moment I got there, Roxy greeted me with a warm smile and filled me in on their different vegetarian dishes. Loved the outdoor setup and the care that the servers have for their costumers. Definitely try the paninis!

Wow! This place was great! The paninis, the drinks, and the ambiance was unique in such a good way. Not a huge menu on the food side but simple is best. Definitely recommend and well be back.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, amazing staff. The vegan tacos are to die for. During the remodel they work from a trailer. Not to worry fam, there is running water, hygiene is ever their priority. Gotta love them. The menu has been down scaled during the renovations but its still slamming good and service is fast.

Delicious food and drinks! I had both types of breakfast tacos and a chai tea latte. I’m not a vegetarian or vegan, but still thoroughly enjoyed the food. It’s beautiful inside with a great atmosphere.

A wonderful menu, not fully vegan so be careful. Some foods like mayonnaise and cheese contain either eggs, milk, or both but not too many. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, and the service is timely. No long waiting. They are doing some remodeling and will continue as funds permit. I expect them to continue to get better and better.The menu has good variety, The decor is pleasant and great for studying or pleasant conversation.

Doshi House is awesome!! Great coffee, vegan options, and all around good people. A wonderful combination that is never wrong! I always find myself here for lunch or an afternoon latte + a cupcake (they sell Sinful Bakery products!). Ive made a lot of good decisions in life after sitting with one of their lattes in a comfy chair.

Menus is limited by time of day which is weird. Taste is amazing. Portions are small but prices are relatively modest to reflect that.

Perfect coffee shop

I absolutely love Doshi House. It has been my norm for the past 2 years to stop by at least once a week to get 2 black bean empanadas and a pink panther. You cant go wrong with the sandwiches either. Doshi is also Really cool spot for small meetings over tea/cappuccino, or a refreshing yet organic drink. I LOVE Doshi House.
