This place smelled fantastic, tasted amazing, is in a great location, and had wonderful service. If you have even the slightest sweet tooth, this is a place you will absolutely want to visit in Houston - whether on vacation or merely visiting. They have tons of options, variety of choices, and some unique items that I’ve never seen anywhere else. You won’t regret stopping by!

Some of the best rich tasting cakes. They have a wide variety of desserts and sweets to choose from. The serving sizes are enormous.

The Chocolate Bar is a place I have gone to few times(probably about my 6th time now) but it is one I will definitely go to again. They offer a VAST assortment of chocolate treats,cakes,and ice cream. The quality of these chocolate products are amazing and worth every penny. I really have nothing negative to say about this place except that I wish there were MORE locations. And if you want to give your dog a super good treat well they even sell quality dog treats for your best friend. Will definitely be going back.

Went here after a birthday at torchys. The desserts here are great. If you like chocolate you need to check it out. If you go later in the evening you can get half priced fruit and it is really good.

Fantastic!! Just ordered the strawberry and carrot cake slices off uber eats and we are very impressed! The carrot slice was...interestingly large? It came in a rather large box and weighed (yes we weighed it) HALF A POUND. So thank you for that😂 a bit odd that the other slice we purchased was small in comparison

Everything is so good if you are chocolate lover. My favorite is Black Russian. They have good ice cream as well. Only problem with the place is parking specially during weekend but you will figure it out. Must visit. I cant wait to go back...

I first visited the Chocolate Bar a few months ago and have since been back on several occasions. The inside has always been clean, orderly, and well stocked. Even the employees have been on point when Ive dropped in. The ice cream was especially tasty but the pecan praline bars (cant remember what exactly they were called) were to die for. Next time Im in the area Ill get my sugar fix here for sure.

Very neat place. We stopped by after looking up dessert places near us. The in-house made chocolates are great. The in-house made pies and cakes are great. Just share them with a friend or you’ll end up on a serious sugar rush!! Absolutely LOVED the Tres Leches!! The chocolate cake was dry and just ok. Recommendation for the Chocolate Bar staff... make a Pick 2 or Pick 4 Sampler (with 2 or 4 items) just smaller slices so people can try more flavors.

The place is beautiful, lots of delicious chocolate in every shape and form! Gray and original chocolate gifts! Its just extremely expensive! No matter how good... its still overtly priced.

I just went here and ordered ice cream. My all time favorite ice cream used to be the coffee toffee time here but today it was terrible! I am very certain I was given the wrong ice cream but was told by the staff that it was correct. The ice cream was right next to the dark chocolate truffle and I told them I thought they may have given me the wrong ice cream but they insisted that they gave me the right ice cream. When I explained that there was not even one piece of toffee in it and it tasted like dark chocolate they informed me that they don’t put much toffee in it anymore and just shrugged about the dark chocolate flavor. Based on their reassurances this ice cream no longer has a coffee flavor nor did it have ANY toffee in it! As I was leaving I noticed the staff getting a scoop of the ice cream and taking it around the corner. Next time just admit you made a mistake and give the customer the right ice cream. Take accountability. You could visibly look at the ice creams and tell that the wrong bucket got put in the wrong place. There is nothing wrong with making a mistake but there is in not trying to correct it especially when it is politely brought to your attention. I am really trying to support local businesses but I will not be going out of my way to do so when they cannot even try to listen to a customer and work to correct their mistakes. I will support someone else in the future. So disappointed! I used to really love this place but today ruined me on it:(!

Love this place! Cant remember what cake this was but their chocolate cakes are to die for! The cake slices are expensive but huge and very worth it! Often, my wife and I struggle to finish one together. Further, the staff is friendly, place is clean and they have delicious cakes and coffee. The inside also has a very trendy vibe and a great place to take a picture with the neon sign I have pictured below. Highly recommend for your next dessert outing.

This place is great! if you’re like me and you have just an endless sweet tooth, you’ll be happy here! I got a slice of the Uncle Darrel’s cake, and it was *massive*- they serve it in a to go box though, cause it’s hard to finish in one sitting. my fiancé got a scoop of the mint ice cream with Andes bars in it, and it was fantastic! I’m not usually that big into mint ice creams, but this was fantastic- I might have to come back and get it for myself! additionally we got some of their $3 specialty chocolate bars, to test out the chocolate, and it was fantastic. the staff as well, though very busy, was all super friendly and had some wonderful suggestions!the parking lot is pretty small; just a row out front, which is shared with other storefronts on either side. even though we came at a pretty busy time though, we didn’t have any trouble finding a spot.

Great selection of chocolates. I usually stop by to stock up on their dog treats since my dogs love them and to pick up some Texas Frito Brittle.

This place is sooo good. Tons of options for chocolate connoisseurs like myself to satisfy their sweet tooth. The chocolate cake is delicious and the go-to for me but I’ve really gotta try some of the other chocolate desserts since I’m sure they’re great as well. Nice little atmosphere as well and great service. No complaints ever.

This place was fun and yummy! We shared a smore and a chocolate dipped Twinky. There were so many choices it was hard to decide.

Went on a Friday night and it was packed with people. We had to wait for sometime, but it was worth it. The Southern Pecan cookies are delicious!

This happens to be one of my favorite dessert go to spots when I’m craving a chocolate fix. This location must have changed their recipe because I visited this past Saturday, seems to me you guys might have changed the recipe or may have just been the location. I was just a tad bit disappointed.

The cake was amazing, theres so many choices. We got German chocolate and a three layer chocolate cake, and they were perfect. Super rich and super spongy. On the other side of the shop they have tons of chocolate trinkets as well. Its all around a really great shop, definetly worth the drive if youre like me and you dont live near by. The only downside I can see is the parking lot, its quite small but theres plenty of places you can park and walk nearby

We have loved The Chocolate Bar for many years. We have loved the large pieces of cakes for many celebrations. Unfortunately, The Wedding Cake has stopped being made..unless you want an entire cake the girl told me. I was trying to inquire if it is ever scheduled to be made but again only if you want the entire cake. It was my favorite but I certainly dont need an entire cake. We tried the Strawberry Cake & Carrot Cake pieces but no comparison to the Wedding Cake. My family does enjoy the different Chocolate Cakes though, but without the Wedding Cake we will not be back nearly as frequent💔

Pretty much everything in there is chocolate which should be given away by the name. A few ice cream options to choose from which are pretty good and they let you sample before ordering. Parking is pretty tight since it’s a small lay shared with other shops. The cakes are good and just a heads up, the serving size are massive. Large enough for 2 -3 people so order accordingly.

Been here several times and its always beyond decadent. They have a flan mousse chocolate cake thats simply out of this world. The name doesnt lie, if you have a sweet tooth you wanna visit this bar!

This was a cool stop I was looking for something more unique I guess. The ice cream was delicious though. I guess the cakes are the main attraction.

I went for afternoon dessert. This place has all kinds of amazing items to try from cakes, cookies, brownies, ice cream, chocolate covered fruit and desserts for your pets. I tried the OMG Cheesecake and it was phenomenal, very rich in flavor. I will have to go back and try other flavors

Lesson Learned!Yesterday was my first and last visit to this location...Ive been a huge fan of The Chocolate Bar for several years now, but yesterday was my first ever bad experience.I usually go to the Rice Village location, and I receive stellar service and divinely sweet treats. This location on Alabama proved to be subpar.I went in as soon as they opened on Mothers Day to buy a slice of Uncle Daryls cake for my mom because its her absolute favorite.The young lady sliced, boxed, and bagged what could only be described as an Oops slice sans the usual chocolate drizzle and toffee bits.I pointed out that I was displeased with the slice, and I asked about the lack toffee and drizzle. The young lady then cut another slice then dumped some other type of candy on top of the slice of cake. I asked her if it was toffee. She assured me that it was even though I knew it wasnt.She then left the boxed slice of cake as well as the other items Id purchased on the counter without bagging them. After we awkwardly stood there for a few moments, I decided to bag my own items... smh...Long story long, my mom wasnt pleased with her slice, and she didnt fully enjoy her Mothers Day treat due to the inconsistency of this location.Meh... Ill be sure to only go to Rice Village from now on... They get it right every time without prompting...

This place was not all that great. The people are not friendly at all. When we were ready to order, my husband was asking the tall guy with glasses if we can order with him and sadly he was rude and said there is someone standing there to help (which there was only him) will not be back. If rather go to marble slab or great American cookie. Such a disappointment in selection.

Everytime Im in Houston I visit one of the two locations. The chocolate is silky smooth and literally melts in my mouth. You wont regret visiting. My favorite is the milk chocolate pecan turtles...YUM!!!!

The chocolate bar used to be great but I wont be back. They have quit allowing samples of ice cream before deciding on a flavor. I understand they are blaming covid but this is unreasonable. You can sit and eat at the chocolate bar but they cant hand you a spoon of ice cream before you buy a $20 quart. This is unreasonable and I will spend my money where I can feel human.

Just look at this slice of cake. It’s huge!!!!!!! We got the toffee cake and it was delicious. Fiancé and I were only able to eat like 1/4th of the slice. We brought it home and it was gobbled up by the rest of my family in mere seconds. I can’t wait to try more of the delicious desserts and ice cream here. It’s ALWAYS scrumptious!!
