Coffee shop hopping is my hobby and this place is definitely in my top 5.I had vanilla latte and holy cow. Ahhhhhhmazing!!!! Not too sweet, not bitter, just perfect. Temperature was spot on too. Only regret is not getting another. I will definitely go back.Inside is super adorable. I stood in line to order for awhile, but trust me, its worth the wait.I wasnt fan of the cookie they had, but it doesnt matter, coffee is amazing. What else can you ask for.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed! Our drinks were great, loved the small details like the apple chip on top of my husbands apple butter latte. Surprisingly enough the chive and cheddar scone was the highlight for me though. It was delicious.. wish I would had gotten two!

Nice place, decent amount of space to sit with your group and small breakfast items I had were good. The staff was friendly but the ordering and waiting was not good. Met a friend and it took well over half an hour in line just to order. I debated the number of stars but everything else was good and I suppose theyre busy because others agree though ordering needs to be not efficient

I had a vanilla latte and it was quite delicious. I typically avoid Starbucks because I do not like Starbucks. I normally go to like Cavo coffee or common Bond something like that but since I was in the area I decided to swing into the Java Owl coffee House and I was not disappointed at all.In fact I would say that their latte was one of the best that Ive had in Houston. Not much to say if you like coffee if you like lattes and cappuccinos and what have you I would definitely swing in and give this place a shot. It was quite busy when I got there so that should say it all.Come try their coffee its delicious!!

Always our favorite stop! We are usually here at least three times per week… They have excellent coffees and teas along with other tasty treats and breakfast items!! The staff and owner are terrific… And I cannot express enough how much attention they pay to detail for the most beautiful and tasty beverages you’ll come across in the area! Come and enjoy the lovely atmosphere with ample supply of outdoor seating!

John and his crew do a great job of managing this cozy coffee House. They have a large selection of custom roasted coffees and an ambiance thats hard to be especially in a chain coffee shop. Try it! You will like it!

Nice ambiance and plenty of room to sit back and enjoy some good coffee. I prefer smooth tasting coffee and the barrista talked me through some options. They had someone playing the guitar but they also had some music playing but still a nice place to hang out. They had swinging chair in the outside patio and different sitting area inside and they had art work hanging on the wall. Overall, nice place. Definitely go back when in the area.

If it were possible to punch a hole in the sky and take away a star, I would do that. This place deserves no stars. My boyfriend and I went in there today and right off the bat, it was a bad experience. First, the line was inexorably slow as the guy behind the counter was flirting with the 14 year old hipster jail bait. Add to that the a**clown on the guitar singing some incoherent ditty about giving away his feather - we walked out. I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out to say weve been punked.

This was my first visit but definitely not my last! It is so full of personality inside and on the patio too! There is a nice selection of drinks with really cute presentation too. I liked the live music and kind baristas.

Coffee is great, staff are lovely and I appreciate the vegan macaroons. Could be more vegan options though, especially for breakfast, so for now I give 4 stars. But for a cup of coffee I recommend trying Java Owl!

Simply the best! The coffee is wonderful, the atmosphere is exceptional and the staff (and owner) is top notch! I cannot say enough great things about Java Owl as it’s simply perfect :) I became a regular patron before Covid and still visit several times a week for my morning fix of coffee and breakfast (muffins and scones are amazing).

Seriously the best place to go for coffee, sweets, and frappuccinos. The vanilla express is amazing! Ill be trying the cookies and cream next time

Perfect London Fog. The brewed tea came out with a timer and milk. It was nice to determine the ratio.

They are still getting things set up at this new location. The vibe is already very modern with a pinch of hipster.The coffee was fantastic. We have had various lattes and they hit the perfect balance of having the flavor of the coffee and the flavor you add. Prices are low for drinks!They also had some pastry items and chips as well.Customer service was top notch. They will bring everything to you.Im not sure of it was the owner or a manager but one of the guys working was doing a great job coaching his younger workers on how to reber who ordered what and how to interact with the customers. You can tell they are setting the ground work for long term employment and to build a great culture.

Im a coffee fan and visited almost all coffee shops in Houston. But so far Java Owl is the best coffee place Ive been. The atmosphere, the people behind and the coffee are the best..I dont mind driving this far just to have a sip of coffee in here.

One of my new favorites. The atmosphere was welcoming, bright and fun upon arrival and the staff greeted us immediately. We got the cold brew, finished one and went back for another as well as buying a bag of the house bean. The owner spoke with us and checked on how we were doing, very nice guy and every staff member was equally as helpful. Highly recommend going here and giving them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Always time well spent at this adorable, comfortable, clean customer-oriented local coffeehouse. The drinks are delicious and theres a good assortment of snacks to nosh on. My favorite coffee drink is the sweet lavendar latte which is pictured here. Beautiful presentation, right? I come by as often as I am able and always leave smiling.

It was SUPER busy when I showed up, but I took that as a sign of good quality coffee. They make every cup with a little personal touch for each customer. Even if you get a to-go latte, open the lid and take a peek because there will still be some latte art in your cup😊

The flat white latte was amazing. Better than any coffee chain latte Ive had. Locally owned which is cool and the atomosphere is very nice. Im big on the vibe of a place. If its not good, I wont go back. Ill definitely be going back. (Oh, and cleanest bathroom in a public place Ive EVER seen:)

I always seek out local coffee shops and have been to them all over the country. This ranks in top 3 easy. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and communicated to one another. You could tell they have consistent regulars. The atmosphere was gorgeous and facilities clean. I love the support of local artists as well. The coffee was some of the smoothest weve ever had. My partner got a cold brew with syrups and the flavor was strong without being a sugar bomb. They enhanced the coffee flavor rather than masked it. There was indoor and outdoor seating with a balcony. This place is a gem and worth a visit even if its out of the way.

Our 2nd visit was as good as our first...and we got a really cool official JavaOwl tee shirt! Great neighborhood coffee shop that cares. Nassau Bay has a great new place to hang out and drink awesome coffee.

Awesome. Im so happy to have this place in our area. They have TOP NOTCH SCONES AND COFFEE. The service is excellent with friendly greetings, conversation, and atmosphere. The place is spotless, not very expensive, and offers excellent selection. I choose this over a Starbucks anyway. Also they are veteran owed which means they get my dollar first. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Stop cuteee and cozy!!!!! The hanging basket chairs are so comfy! They have a stage for people to play piano or guitar! They have games and books on a shelf! The coffee is so good and very well decorated. They are moving down the road though they reopen in Jan or sometime.

Very nice clean coffee house with a wide variety of treats! Went during Covid, the place is spotless.The staff is very kind, helpful, and competent when it comes to drinkmaking.The coffee tastes great, they use good quality beans.I didnt taste the treats so I can speak to them aside from the fact they look good and they have a small variety.

This coffee shop is EVERYTHING! Everything is made fresh, it tastes delicious, its cozy, quiet, and dog friendly; everything youd want for a local coffee shop. Its also a great place to study or do homework.

As someone who grew up in this neighbourhood, its so wonderful that theres a place like this in it! Java Owl is an experience from when you walk in the door to when you leave. The kinship that is experienced in this place is unlike any other. Its hard to find places that are wholesome, comfortable, and still safely abiding by covid regulations. I come up here on a daily basis to do some work and theres always a cup of tea or coffee waiting for me! Absolutely love this place and so happy I found it. :)

We visited from out of town, and I wish we frequented the area more often just so we could visit this cute spot! We were genuinely greeted upon arrival, and we were served quickly. It was clean and modern and had an overall happy vibe. The drinks and food were awesome too!

I would give more stars if I could.Having just moved from Seattle, my need for good coffee was REAL, and I was so excited when this coffee house opened in my neighborhood.I’ve got HIGH expectations from my coffee houses and Java Owl does not disappoint.The staff, the precision in the pours, the ambiance and coffee itself is great!My family, dog included LOVE coming in.

Its not Starbucks and that is a good thing by itself.

Nice place good atmosphere and the normal Java varieties. Ample parking at a good location. The only thing keeping from a 5 star is the is slim food selection choices to go with the coffee. I would like to see a breakfast sandwich on weekends for starters. Or something more than pastries and oatmeal.

I’ve been looking forward to coming here a while. The coffee was excellent, but I’m very disappointed though that out of the 4 employees working only one was wearing a mask/face covering. The company posted in google assuring customers a clean environment. The actual establishment is clean, but given the global circumstances I’m not confident in a clean cup of coffee. I also think the employer should ensure their employees are being as safe as possible working in close proximity with each other; which unfortunately was not the case. I won’t be back unless policies change to match the guidance from the CDC and practice simple common sense.

Great experience this evening. My wife and I drove over for a late evening latte and cappuccino. The employees were polite, the space was welcoming, the seats were clean, and the drinks were good. I would recommend this coffee shop. I will come back again.We sat in the hanging basket style chairs which were a bit quirky but we did enjoy them. They had tons of games for people to play. I look forward to visiting again and trying out more of the menu.

First time in today but its going to be my regular stop from now on!!!My wife has stopped here and she got me some of their espresso beans for home. Very smooth!!!I ordered a double espresso today and it was awesome!! I also recommend the cortado as well. My wife always gets an Americano and its super smooth.Excellent service and such a cool little place. This place is amazing! The employees and owner are all friendly and welcoming, socializing with all guests. They treat you as if theyve known you for years. The prices are great and the coffee is amazing. Much better than chain coffee shops. I tried the sweet lavender latte. Highly recommend!

I really like this coffee house. Its nicely done and the owners really nice. It would be five stars if the coffees flavor was excellent. The coffee just isnt very strong and doesnt have the standard coffee flavor that I like. Others may really like it. I recommend you go!
