Good place to have car oil changes and repairs. Been going there for 3 years and they hsve kept my car in good running order

I had the best service at this place. All the guys were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. As a woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic that you trust, but I got a good vibe from the guys here.Also, the service was fast, and the prices were reasonable. I got my brakes done and an oil change and they had me in and out in less than two hours. Now that’s service.

Darren did an excellent job on my car. He called me to let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost and when it would be done. He followed through on everything. He was professional and friendly. He helped me understand everything I needed to know. He also showed me the parts that were changed out so I could see the broken parts. I brought my car here because they were the only ones able to look at it immediately. I should have realized that was a bad sign. I was charged $4100 and only made it half way home before all of the problems returned. Even after bringing my car back to them and leaving it for longer than I could not afford, it still does not work properly. Now I have to save up some money so I can take it someplace that can do the job right.

Wouldn’t recommend at all. Brought my car in because I was having problems with the dash board lights going crazy. They say it’s a alternator and ac needs to be recharged. Okay 1,400 later and my lights are still going off on my dashboard. I’ve brought my car in a few times and every time no matter what it’s over 1k to fix a problem they make up. They don’t actually fix what you need just other stuff they find. I had my vehicle in another shop getting a oil change and they tested my alternator and said everything checked out. But all of the sudden sun auto gets it and I need a alternator hoses fixed and my ac repaired. Like I said my problem was never fixed and I won’t be bringing any vehicles into them. If you want to be overcharged for stuff you don’t need bring it in. But trust me get a second opinion before getting the work done by them. You can find better mechanics. I’m guessing the good reviews are from people that have a newer vehicle or just people getting oil changes or basic work. If it’s a problem they gotta take time to find it if they even find it plan on them not fixing it and finding different problems that are quicker to fix for a fast buck.....

They used the wrong oil for an oil change (not the one I specified I wanted). Also was having transmission issues and they recommended a flush, which I agreed to. Car was still having issues after the flush and they recommended I have it towed to their location in North Las Vegas for a transmission inspection - I was told diagnosing the transmission would cost $500 and I may require a transmission rebuild. I took my car over to Bobs transmissions instead. He diagnosed my car for free and said he couldnt find anything wrong with my transmission. The car just needed some time after having the flush.

THE BEST! Not only are these guys great mechanics, but also truthful humans! This has been a go-to for all my vehicles for years and years. The guys are awesome and stand by their work. Ive had minor and some major work done here, all of which were a job well done. Honest work by honest guys.

My window wasn’t rolling up and it was going to be weeks before I could get into the dealer to have it fixed under warranty. Sun Auto was able to get my window up until I can get into the dealer at no charge! Would highly recommend.

I used to rent and rave about this place I get my oil changed there all the time but this last time I went I was so disappointed I dont even know if Im going to go back. I had some things that I would have done in my car its past time for my oil to be changed they didnt change my oil they didnt do the other stuff I asked him to do because they were so busy I would have to bring it back so I think Ill have to find another place to take my car to get oil changed and mechanical work done on it that havent gotten too big for their customer service

I went there 7am and they said we will make you appointment at 12nn and 1pm for 2 cars for change oil and I went there at 12nn and they said you don’t have any appointment. What kind of employee you guys have !! If they don’t know how to make appointment then they don’t know how to fix or even “change oil cars” inconvenient waste my time going back there.

They dont gouge you, they just tell you what you actually need. AC issues in the summer? Of course it could have been the compressor, coolant, whatever. Nope, it was just the belt. I would have never known, these guys are just plain honest.

It was ok very anxious to get you in the door especially Henderson location.

These guys were nothing but honest and straight to the point. As a woman sometimes shops can step on your toes and make you feel like you don’t know what’s going on. But I never got that here. They showed me exactly where I was having my issue and told me exactly why I was having my issue, they never charged me for anything either. They directed me to a site online if I wanted to fix my rotor squeaking for the future. I will continue to come back here for anything further, And hope I work with the same people, thank you guys again for making things so easy, and treating my truck good !

These guys are the best. Theyre also a MaxCare approved service provider. Professional. Safe. Excellent service (this location is next to Capriottis and a nice coffee shop, so its even less of a chore to go). We take both our cars here for all our repairs and oil changes.

WAY overpriced. Went in for radiator complaint after overheating, expecting radiator replacement, $600 tops. Came back with $2500 in recommendations, and $1,000 for radiator repair (radiator, 2 hoses, and thermostat, plus labor). I will not be coming back. Overpriced, and non-necessary gouging!

Made an appointment 3 days ago and they still said hour and a half wait and not to mention my car didnt qualify for the synthetic oil change fir $19.95. It became $49.95+. So I left.

They worked hard to figure out all the issues I was having and worked with my warranty company to make sure everything was covered. The even put up my Sun shade when my car was ready (it truly is the little things).. The only reason Im giving 4 and not 5 is because they arent great at calling back and giving updates. I had to call them both times.

My A/C went out. Called around a few places, couldn’t get in. Called Sun, talked to Darren- told me to bring it down that day.Sure enough, they checked it out right away. Replaced my compressor and got me on the road the same day. I’m not used to a turnaround this quick. Definitely be using these guys again. Thanks for everything Sun Auto!!- Andrew R.

As a woman going to an auto repair shop can be intimidating. The team was professional and kind. They explained everything so I understood the process. They automatically gave me whatever promo was running. AMAZING service!

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 1pm with this company. When you schedule an appointment you should expect to be serviced in a timely manner. Instead of honoring my appointment I was told that I’d have to wait and hour to and hour and a half after my appointment started before they would even touch my car. They were very rude and tardy. I would not recommend anyone try and make an appointment with this company.

I could not have asked for a better experience than what took place today while getting my brakes evaluated and then replaced. When I called to make an appt the person the other end was courteous and accommodating and that attitude was consistent throughout my time at SAS. I had an issue that was unexpected and that could have cost me a lot more money than I was prepared to spend but the Service person came up with a fantastic solution that cost me noting extra. What also impressed me was that every customer that came in over the length of time that I was there was treated the same as me. It was refreshing to see such consistency of service and care. I cant tell you how many times I heard no charge for evaluating. I wish I could give them 10 stars. They have my biz from now on. Excellent work Sun Auto Service.

My car had a complex set of issues over the past 12 months and I had to get multiple quotes from multiple mechanics. 1) These guys had competitive pricing compared to other mechanics and always beat Pep boys (which is opposite). 2) They were always super friendly to me. 3) They mostly recommended the correct services. Only once did they recommend an unnecessary service (ac unit didnt need replacing when it was the thermostat that was missing). 4) Generally online mechanics were cheaper so I did not end up using them for the more expensive stuff but if you want a hole in the wall mechanic these guys are decent.

I went in for AC repair because my truck was blowing warm air and not working correctly at all. Robert the store manager took care of everything very professionally and I’ll be taking my vehicles there from now on. Reasonably priced and excellent service hands down. Thank you to the mechanic that took care of my truck!

An absolutely excellent auto repair shop! When I moved to this area it took a while to find a repair shop with repairs and opinions I could trust. I wouldnt want to take my SUV anywhere else. There is a closer Sun Auto near my house, but the few extra miles drive is worth it to me to take it to the location on Stephanie St. They are quick, professional, honest, and kind. If you are going to wait for the repair, this Sun Auto is within walking distance of some great food and coffee.

Our car, Lexus ES330, would not start. We are new to the area and had no idea where to turn. Per great recommendations on Nextdoor, we contacted Sun Auto on South Stephanie in Henderson, and then had the car towed there. We told them that we didnt expect them to look at it immediately, especially since it was late in the afternoon when we finally got the car to them. They not only looked at it, but diagnosed it and ordered the appropriate part. It was ready the next morning!! What amazing service!! Highly recommend Sun Auto for car care!!

I cannot say enough great things about this location.I have been here twice for issues with my vehicle that were covered under my warranty, and now I am making them our household’s permanent mechanic location.I was there over a year ago when my heater went out on my car and was very pleased then.This time, when fixing my rack and pinion I was even more impressed.Vince new my name when I walked through the door and I hadn’t even been there for over a year! This was huge brownie points in my book.They fixed my car quickly, and with a smile.Black Betty drives even smoother now than she did when I first took her in.Telling everyone about the Henderson location.Even though I want to keep it my own little secret lol.

Every time I have been there for a particular service I suddenly need $150 - $400 additional servicesAfter they checked my brakes during a routine oil change, and I couldn’t afford to get both front and brake brakes done, they screeched when I drive from that day forward. Prior to that, not a sound.I received estimate for total brakes - ceramic and rotors - then I had a $50 coupon in my email. But when I went in to have the back brakes done they suddenly cost $130 more after the coupon!When I had the timing belt changed I suddenly had to have my water pump replaced another $400.And did you know each Sun Auto has their own pricing for each job?I’m never going back.

Went to sun auto because i had issues with a 06 dodge ram that i bought. The brake lights were not working and i wanted a good/major tune-up done to the truck.First of all - great customer service all the way!! They priced out my repairs that were needed and advised me of the time the truck would be ready. They diagnosed my problem with the electrical within an hour and ordered the parts required for the tune-up.Not only did they have my truck ready at the time they said- the quote was exactly what they advised.Very satisfied customer and will definitely recommend this shop to others!!!I have taken my other vehicles in for service and diagnosis and they take the time to properly diagnose and give you an honest estimate! Jimmy is an awesome mechanic and gives you straightforward answers!! I will definitely keep bringing my vehicles back to them for any problems that i have!! I went in for a free A/C check and the first thing they looked at was the factory warranty and said they didn’t want to void it and recommended taking it back to the dealership. When I explained the dealership wanted upwards of $140 just for a diagnostic he said to let them know it fell under the 5 year 50K mile warranty and the conversation with the dealership should be different, I did and it was. Although Sun Auto didn’t perform any work on my vehicle I appreciate the friendliness and attentiveness they demonstrated as that’s often lost in business today. I can promise when I do have something that needs to be worked on outside of warranty I’ll take it there first.

Saw a coupon for an oil change a figured Id give them a try. It sure didnt take long at all but when the tech brought my keys back he says to the clerk at the counter I almost forgot to put oil in that Jeep and laughs. NOT EFFING FUNNY! The next day my tire indicators came on and they deflated all my tires down to 31 psi and my tires are 36 psi. Never again!

These guys are great. Robert and staff are very professional. Had to replace a fuel pump on my parents car and they came in under original quote. Half the cost of 2 other quotes. Finished a big job in 1 day. I would highly recommend them. Hard to find fair mechanics in Vegas.

Thought I needed an AC recharge or fix. They have free AC inspection. I called to get an appointment because they have 1234yf freon for my 2015 Dodge Durango (Understand the difference from R22.)While I was there, needed an oil change. They were able to get an oil change and inspection is less than an hour.Clean, neat, and awesome crew. Thanks.(They also offer lifetime brake pads. Just pay for labor.)

Suncoast auto repair is a great place to take your vehicle for repairs and maintenance. They are honest and the cost of everything is fair priced. They will do the diagnostic for free and give you a detailed print out of whats wrong. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good mechanic.

Kudos to Robert at Sun auto. I had an oil change last week and the oil light was on when I left. Too it to the dealer who stayed something had been broken during the oil change. Not sure what really happened but Robert at Sun Auto took the time to pay for a majority of the dealer’s bill in an effort to keep me as a customer. That is GREAT service!!! These folks are GREAT! I had a check engine light on and a leaky transmission in a old car. They fixed both items within a day of dropping the car off. No trying to sell extra stuff no baloney. And the price to fix was about 1/3 of what I was expecting. You have 2 customers for life. It is refreshing to at last find a good honest repair shop! The people were great but the work wasnt. Do not take your car or truck here if you have transmission problems. They completely rebuilt my manual transmission and it still had issues and had to be taken in multiple times. Thankfully it was under warranty but now that my warranty is out in sure Ill have to pay.

Honest mechanics can be hard to find but not here. These guys were straight shooters, affordable and took great car of my car and family. I highly recommend bringing your car here. Bonus-they have Saturday hours, which some places do not

This repair shop is awesome. They fixed an oil leak that the last repair shop we took our Subaru forester too did not fix. We were also able to get a synchrony credit card from them to help us cover the costs.

I only take my 2009 Nissen to Sun Auto for repairs. I trust Sun Auto and feel they take very good car of my car. This last time I was especially apprecitive of Vince Williams who was kind and very helpful. Since I am 85 and live alone and do not have any neighbor who could pick me up at Sun Auto, I had to wait to see what was the matter with the car. He was understanding and I was able to get the answer to the problem very quickly so I only had to wait a very short time. All I needed was some brake fluid. I think their prices for any repairs I have had to get done were fair and I trust them to take good car of my car. Again, thank you Vince!

This Auto service place is not a bad alternative for direct dealership repairs, especially out of warranty. But they have screwed up a few things in the past when doing repairs are tune-ups on some of our cars. Also check the prices for parts compared to what theyre charging.

Got my oil changed today. Brandon Morales is the best. He always takes care of me and I feel he cares about his clients.

I rarely have time to do one of these, but today I made time. Ive been going to Sun Auto since I was a teenager back in 2011. I didnt have a shop to take my cars to but I stumbled upon Sun Auto. I couldnt have asked for a more honest auto shop in my life. They dont give you the whole well looks like you need to replace... story unless it is definitely needed (trust me, I have a little knowledge of cars, I just dont have the time to fix things on my own). They let you know if something is beginning to arise but they dont pressure you into getting it done at that moment (which gives you time to save for that problem). Their inspections on your vehicle are top notch. What sticks out the most to me is that they REMEMBER their customers. I cannot tell you how far that can go when it comes to customer service. Special shout out to Steve (the manager), who treats all of his customers with respect and friendliness. No matter how far I move in Vegas, I will always come back to Sun Auto. Ive had a Thunderbird, 300m, Scion Xb, Focus, and an 86 Monte Carlo. No other shop has touched any of those cars except for Sun Auto on Stephanie. Thanks Guys!

Came here first time for a second opinion. In summary, without knowing what I was originally told, they told me my brakes were fine, nothing needed at the time, and I walked out with no bill. I did get estimates on problems I already knew about, and they seemed very reasonable. Refreshing experience.

Of course I was skeptical and took it to Sun Auto Service on Stephanie, in Henderson (been there before & they were amazing), for a second opinion.THANK GOD! The laundry list was pretty close to accurate in the repairs that were needed BUT the difference is, JESSE explained everything to me and then prioritized them in order of importance of what needed to be fixed now. Then JESSE took the time to contact the warranty company, come to find out, EVERYTHING on the list was covered by the warranty saving me $1,300! Needless to say, Im EXTREMELY GRATEFUL & EXCITED!!!THANK YOU JESSE & SUN AUTO SERVICE....YOU ROCK!!!!

I went in to them to get a check on my car brakes front and back.They totally hook me up with the help and what I need, gave me a free oil change for next time. They were great. If anyone needs something done on there car, this is the place to go, even if its a drive for you.I went to a different place and they looked at my battery and said I need a whole new one but this place looked at them and said no I dont. So thats exciting!

These guys are great. I discovered them through carmax as theyre an approved repair shop.My AC was out most of the summer. These guys made the repair and unfortunately, it went out again within 2 weeks. The manager, Rob, went out of his way to do everything he could to resolve the issue. I cannot recommend Sun Auto enough. Theyre my go to for any issues and maintenance.

Sun Auto saved me $4,400!I had my X5 Inspected in January when we bought it.There were no problems found.In April I took it to Firestone for a safety check.They wanted $4,400 for Front End Parts and Labor.They said it was not safe to drive and wanted to do the repairs right away (before I could get a second opinion).So, I took it to Byron at Sun Auto (who has done repairs for us in the past).He told us that the parts were slightly worn but did not need replacement.He said that Firestone pays their mechanics commission. But his mechanics are paid by the hour.

Mr. Head, the manager, and his counter staff are friendly, professional and true to their word and quotes. I take all three of my cars to them. Very good service!

Best auto repair shop I have delt with in years . I was in Henderson with my car on vacation from Ohio. Car max sent me to sun auto to get air conditioner repaired . So honest and Robert went above and beyond to help me get my insurance company to pay car rental up front since I was out of town and the courtesy that the shop showed me was just AMAZING . Would recommend this shop to locals and out of town people with full honesty and trust towards their customers!!!
