My dads car has been having a coolant leak and I thought pep boys would do the job right and they didn’t. It started to leak again a week later after they supposedly fixed it. So I took it to them again telling them they didn’t do the job right. So they supposedly fixed it again and a week later the same spot started leaking and they made it worse than what it was. I paid 406 dollars so they can supposedly fix my car and I paid all that for nothing. I don’t recommend this place if it’s dealing with coolant leak because apparently they don’t know what they’re doing. And also doing an appointment with them is pointless because I scheduled it on Sunday 9 am and I didn’t get my car back until the next day around 1 pm. I personally feel like I paid 406 dollars just for my car to sit on their lot. I can say I will take this to corporate because they basically took my money. I won’t ever come to this place again!!
I Schedule an appointment online and got the confirmation for 4 ( bf Goodrich ) tiresShowed up 20 minutes early and ended up waiting 30 minutes in line finally got called up to the counter and was told they only had 2 of the 4 tires then tried to sell me another set of 4. For only en extra $150 plus tax 👎👎 ( what’s the point of the online ordering ) If they don’t order the tires. This was a absolute waste of timeMost likely will never return
Even with an appt it was 2 hours for an oil change... HOWEVER..they are in need of help, even posted a HELP WANTED sign. This was not their fault that no one wants to work !!They were very pleasant and apologetic. I will give them my business going forward.
Went there to get an oil change as i have a service agreement that i purchased where they are the provider. I told Chris that i had limited time to get it done. They took my car in quickly but after waiting over one and a half hours i told them i had to go. They told me they were waiting for the oil filter that it was out of stock. I asked if i could buy one from the store and have them install it. They said they were out. I went over to the shelf found it and took it to them. It still took another 20 minutes for them to finish. I have called corporate waiting for call back!

Havent been here in a while as I have 3 other chain retailers that are closer. They are really good if you are looking for accessories. The only real knock on this brand is that when you need someone to assist you the response is slow compared to others and it seems to be a company thing as I have had the same scenario in other California cities as well.
Not sure why they cant ask the homeless not to camp out in front of their store. Too much trash around the store, why cant the business clean up trash outside of the store.
You call them, they automatically put you on hold. After holding for 2 minutes, they just hang up.
The service was good 👍 however the wait time was too much, and not enough service representative at the auto center.

04/02/2021 brought my truck in to get a tire patched, and they where packed with work. An hour before closing they let us know they will do their best to get to us. Right before closing Isrrael helped us and go us out of there pretty fast, after mounting my truck! Definitely best customer service.
Today I came to get a service for my car Paul attends horrible.You ask him something and he responds in a sassy mean voice like if hes going to do it for free. I dont recomend this place to none. I dont think they will do anything to have better custummer service they have lots of comments of their bad horrible service.
I like Pep Boys cause they are usually cheaper and the workers pretty much know about vehicles
Called multiple times and just put on hold for too long, I couldn’t even get to talk to someone until my third call and got put on hold without saying anything again.
They have been friendly efficient for the most part and respect when you have coupons from other places.
Took my vehicle in last Saturday in fixed my AC. Waited 5hrs! They told me they discovered a leak in the system. I spent 410.00 in repairs. That Monday the the ac started blowing hot again! So took it back in yesterday at 10:00 my car sat for 7.5 hrs! They didn’t do anything!! Now they want me bring it back next week! I should have paid the extra money an taken it to the dealer. They need to hire more AC certified techs..

I bought four new tires, two of them blew up while the car was parked at the garage, a third one got flat after a month, I took my car to replace the antifreeze sensor and they told me “we just checked your car, the problem is the sensor, we have to order it.” I already had told them I needed to change the sensor...

A large auto parts store, with great service in parts department. Replacement of a defective part was very easy, friendly, and professional. CHECK OU THIS STORE, especially if you have never tried Pep Boys. I have used several different auto parts companies over 60 years, and this is the best company.

Terrible.A week and $250 later and they did nothing to improve the car.After a few days they claimed to not be affiliated to Pep boys.My recommendation is go out on the freeway and throw your money out the window.Your better if than taking your car to Pep Boys in Hemet.

On 10/06/2020 I presented my car issues to Pep Boys Hemet Service Desk. They told me they could help and gave me an estimate on the cost after an evaluation. I return two days later early as requested for said work to be done. It took most of the day. (Clean and adjust rear brakes, resurface LR Drum & Replace RR Drum) I returned again on Friday for another job to be done as discussed. (Install Rear Shock & Strut Assembly & Computerized Wheel Alignment) That job also took all day. So after the long week of repairs I felt very happy that the work was done. Until I started hearing the same noise in the rear of my car again that I complained about. Well I took the car back to Pep Boys Hemet on 10/14/2020 and told them I still hear the noise coming from the rear of my car. I was told replacing the shocks and struts would take care of the noise. Another inspection and adjustments. And now they say I need stabilizer links because mines were worn out hence the noise. Another 4-6 hours wait just to be told that’s what I need. I was told to bring my car back on my next day off which is today Wednesday 10/22/2020. I arrive about 8:30 am and I tell the service manager that all work that has been done on my car is not working . My brakes are not stopping correctly, grinding and rattling locking up. As far as the stabilizer work that was promised to be done today, well the guy that does that type of work called off for the day. And now I’m ask to come back tomorrow. Of course I said no! So now I’m waiting to see what they can do today. I’m very disappointed with my experience here. All I want is satisfaction of all work done or give me my money back to allow someone else to do the job right. ( my dates may be off by a week or so). Where’s my happy ending?

They forgot to put my coolant cap back on and I’m left to deal with $450+ of repairs as they deny that they ever touched it. I was supposed to get a call back from a manager regarding the problem a week ago but I’m not holding my breath as they can’t even call to tell you if they’re keeping your car overnight (for 2 nights without finding anything) or even when your car is ready.

Went today to see the different selections of detailers and washes you had to offer at your store. There was a worker in the same isle as me while I was looking and would constantly pass me 3 or 4 times with our even saying excuse me. Until the last time where I looked at him as he kept interrupting my search. He kept guarding me from afar and wouldn’t leave my sight. Until I finally called it quits and left for such an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. And to top it all off as I leave the isle he leaves it as well. Very weird and uncomfortable experience thus far!!!
These guys can actually find the parts you are looking for, unlike certain other parts stores. Decent prices and almost always have the part i am looking for in stock. Commercial side is awesome too. All the drivers are very polite and have large amounts of patience when it takes a minute to sign for parts. Would recommend to anyone who doesnt want to look up parts before going in.

Took my car to get aligned about 3 months ago, we get to now to find out that they hadnt aligned my car correctly. The inside of my tires were gone and on top of that they had left some loose bolts which they are lucky never came off because that wouldve been a huge lawsuit. And then when i go back to get the car re-aligned they tell me that the tires were not their responsibility. Like HELLO you aligned my car! So really bad experience. Personally i would recommend anywhere but Pepboys.

Family, and friends they say to me, that Pet Boy is one of the most expensive place in town. Why to go there to get my car fixed. Money matters especially getting social security. Im woman, a senior and getting My car fixed right, matter to me too. Safety it is very important. Always walk out of Pet Boy after getting my car fixed, with the assurance not only the problem was fixed, but that its safe for me to drive. And the senior discount it is always welcome. Pet Boys have excellent mechanics, it does not matter who does the work, they all exceptional. And the customer service advisors in the front, Paul R, Christopher K, and Manager Israel Grimaldo, they all excelled in customer service.
The young man was helpful and patient he had go to the back and grab parts 8 times
Pep boys is great I used to think they just did oil changes and tires now they have certified technicians even with a 2013 they can fix anything!!!
Worst experience ever. Im 66 yrs. old,never have I been so disrespect ed.I m so disappointed in your employees. BOOKED TWO APPOINTMENTS IN PERSON.First time you called last minute to cancel because your employee could not come to work. One person to provide services for entire store.Second appointment,dropped truck off at 9 am,after double checking the day before that all would go well.Discussed work to be done with tecnition, he assured me no problem. Got a call about hour later, and I gave go ahead. My son dropped me off at 5 PM to pick up the truck, I waited 1 hour, I spoke to two service employees, one of which wrote the order in a.m.Hour later I was informed nothing had been done to my vehicle, and they couldnt reschedule. I asked why he said they are to busy,come back next week and maybe they could reschedule. THATS CRAZY!I want to file a major complaint.

I do a lot of auto repair work - plus, I managed a retail auto parts store for over 10 years, so I know a well run store when Im in one. And - this Pep Boys store certainly qualifies as a well run store. First, the store was neat and well merchandised - everything was easy to locate. Second, I was greeted when I entered and was NOT badgered by the staff - something I dont like. However, when I needed assistance, it was promptly available, knowledgeable and most helpful.
They were helpful honest and extremely friendly. Where else are you going to go start to spend way more than you have to at that time, just to turn around and spend it again in three months when you need to. My mom lives on a very tight income, so I thank Pep Boys for being there for her. In three months when it is time to change the wiper blades on her car I will definitely be back for the good blades. Bless you all and thank you so much.

They tried to charge almost $800 dollars to fix my A/C. They said I need a new A/C unit. But it was just a bad blend door stuck open on the heat side and I needed refrigerate. I got it done for $250 at Auto Air Pro in Menifee. Then today I called pepboys to see how much it would cost to get my brakes bleed on all 4 tire they told me over $500 dollars. My brother called entegerty tires they said $89 dollar for a brake flush front and back.

I made an appointment to have my vehicle diagnosed and sat there from the time of my appointment until closing at 6 and never had my vehicle looked at ever. Then they told me I shouldnt drive my car because it wouldnt be safe. I had to get a ride home from my mom. Ill never be back after all of this.

Other than the cashier not knowing how to ring up my order, it went well.
Good service, prices, and honest technicians. One of the techs here advised me against replacing a part which may have been just acting up because it was wet and that turned out to be exactly the case. Two places I had went before that had told me it was the same item, but failed to mention what could be wrong, and wanted to just take the car ib for service. Since then, I have chosen Pep Boys to do my familys work. That honesty says a lot for the employee, whoever trained him, and the business. Give them a shot, they really do shine.
Twenty years since I stepped into a Pep boys because of poor service and lack of products.The store was huge with great service and selection. Hell, the even had a speed shop.If you havent checked them out, give it a shot.

This is my last time coming here their customer service is the worst. Temecula here I come. Both managers seem to be slow especially Paul R.I asked why no one calls the customer. They say an hour I called for 30 minutes no answer I get here 2 hours later no work had been done.
I came in Friday after work to do a return on an item that I realized was used. I was upset but when I walked in Natalies friendly and professional attitude changed that. It was a fast easy and return and she even offered to order an item for me. A genuinely nice lady.
When it comes to getting tires from Pep Boys dont waste time selecting tires in their website. I pick three different brands of tires from the PepBoys website, all competitively priced. I presented the printouts at the counter and was told they dont carry any of them. The employee recommended some tires that were nowhere near the prices I found on their website.
Honest friendly and price match most. They are usually backed up with appointments so dropping off vehicle is usually best. With food and Hemet mall near by to pass the time is a plus

Ive had very good experiences at the Pep Boys in Hemet, The parts manager is very knowledgeable and friendly. Nearly every employee Ive been helped by has been able to find the part or tools I need. Even for my older 92 Ford Explorer. The prices are generally a bit higher than you can find online, but when factoring shipping cost and time, its not at all bad. Overall Id recommend at least stopping in and checking with them for your car needs.

What disappointed me was that it seemed like they forgot to do my case as I’d been waiting for almost an hour. After the service was done, they did not wipe the spilled oil. That really frustrated me.Despite poor service, I want to give a compliment to a hard working service rep who showed sincerity and tried to provide a quick service.

Had a hard time up there. The service provided for my Moms fans, which have a lifetime guarantee, didnt help her car stop from overheating on the freeway. The mechanic said that they just couldnt find anything wrong with it. We towed it to Gosch and the diagnostic basically singled out the fan issue. Different people would call giving different information all while they had the car in their possession. Very disappointed and will never take a vehicle back to a Pep Boys.
