Had an appointment with Firestone at 8 oclock they was suppose to open up at 7 oclock but didnt open until almost 9 oclock. When I asked one of the employees how much it would cost to get my own control arms put on my car. They told be that they do not put on any outside items on any cars. I guess thats a way for Firestone to make people spend more money.
Just had Matt and Steven come out to my car with Firestone Direct mobile service (Gastonia, NC). They both were awesome. Very transparent and easy to work with. Once they tested the battery to determine the issue they got me the best quote for a replacement and changed the battery out within 10 minutes. It was great and Ill definitely refer Firestone Direct and use these services again.
I’ve been going here for years and usually deal with Jim because he is the only one that understands how to take care of customers. On Sunday I had an appointment at 11am for an oil change I sat in the lobby and waited for three hours. Yes THREE HOURS even though I had an appointment. I stepped outside for some air and noticed that my car was parked and was not being worked on. I went back inside to ask what was going on and the manager let me know that my vehicle was done hours ago and they tried calling me. I tried to tell him that no one called my name or phone because I sat in the lobby for three hours and heard nothing! He told me to hush and continued to blame me instead of apologizing. I’ve never had an experience like this before. Your employees are obviously short staffed because having someone wait for three hours is unacceptable.
Called to get a quote on a replacement catalytic converter and was told to get a more accurate estimate that I should bring the vehicle to the shop. A couple days later when I have the time, i go to the shop and dont recieve any quote. Was told id be better off going to an exhaust shop. Nice to turn a customer away!
I had a great experience when they repaired my tire 2 weeks ago, returned for an oil change and it was awful. I arrived at my appointment time, service rep said my car would be taken back right away and done in about an hour. I walked my toddler to the nearby mall to not drive others crazy in the waiting room, returned 90 minutes later and they hadnt even started my car. I walked out. Appointment times mean nothing here.
The guys were polite and acknowledgeable. Let me see what the real issue was oppose to just writing it now on paper. I would definitely recommend this place
Not happy with this place my husband went in there this morning to get his tire plug, the gentleman a the desk told him it would be around $40 and can he leave the car it would be about 3 hours to get to my car and the plug would take 30 mins which is a lie .If you didnt want his business just tell him but we really know why you act like that to him and not the other people in there that dont look like him . (2021 still no change) we will never go there AGIN
Initially I gave this business a poor rating, but have since changed my rating. They did their best ro make ne a happy customer. Therefore, I must recommend them as a business that stands behind their claim to seek to serve their customers well.
Where do I start….The employees Including the manager try an upcode for services (not)rendered. You go in for one thing they pull something else off your car. The company does not own up to the company standard. They prey on Women but will get a man if they think you know nothing about a car. They extend labor hours because they get paid by the hour for labor cost. Very seldomly do they own up to their warranties.This company is not for major repairs. They will misdiagnosis your car to earn extra cash and expect you pay a fee for wasting your time.Customer service is horrible. I had a tech call from the store when I did the online survey and pretend to be the district manager to resolve my issue. If I could give less than a star I would.Stick to changing oil.
Quick and efficient service !! Nissan quoted me a price that was 3 times the amount they charged me to Perform a Brake Fluid Flush !!! Customer service was also welcoming!!
Claiming that my steering column was too loose to do an alignment after I easily fixed the problem they still refuse to do so being A lifetime alignment member means nothing Not to mention he left my window down soaking the interior of my truck I would give 0 stars if I could

Sitting in their lot over night waiting on parts in a non starting van and I couldnt get them to run an extension to my vehicle or run out a charger on cord to van to charge my bunk ba5eries and main battery. Nice enough but their hospitality towards a stranded expediter and travellers needs work.
They were able to quickly work me in to patch my tire and both men I talked with were super nice. Really appreciate the great service!

Came to replace battery, Wondered what was taken so long so i walked over to see if my car was in there shop, After me being here an Hour and 20 mins they just now start on replacing my battery. Brought in my 2004 Jeep Wrangler to have an alignment after I had a lift kit installed. They fit me in the same day I made the appointment. This vehicle is new to me, so I dont have a lot of history about it. They did the alignment but let me know the rear axle is bent, which is something I wouldve never known. I appreciated them taking the time to explain to me the situation and even drew a picture to explain the bend. Thanks for the time and the help. Much appreciated!!
Im no tire expert, but it seems like when I put Firestone tires on my cars they last alot longer than most others. So thats why I like coming to Firestone. Seems to be really good quality.
I paid $377 to have my wheel bearing replaced. When I got my car back not only was my car still making the same grinding noise but it is now worse and now my engine light is on. Go in for one issue come out with two.

UPDATE: Firestone in Gastonia has now made it right with my recent experience andI would like to thank Austin and the Firestone management team for resolving the issue.Thank you very much for your assistance!*********************************************This past week, I dropped off my 2003 Toyota Camry 4 Cylinder at the Firestone location in Gastonia, NC so that my AC system could be analyzed to determine what repair was needed to fix my AC fan. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, so the problem was intermittent. The system was analyzed and it was determined that I needed to replace the resistor. I wanted to get the work completed at Firestone, however I was advised that this Firestone location does not perform this particular type of repair. Firestone still charged me the Diagnostic Fee of $50.00 even though they could not perform the repair. This is an unfair business practice, as I wanted to have Firestone complete the repair but the service advisor said they couldnt do this. Under this circumstance, the Diagnostic Fee should have been waived!
We found ourselves in a tough situation on a Sunday morning with two blown tires on our 5th wheel. We called Wes at Firestone in Gastonia and he had our tires in stock and fixed them for us immediately. We were out of there in 20 minutes for a very competitive price. They were so nice and professional and we are extremely grateful for their help!

Prepare to wait all day. Even if you have an appointment. Bring a novel and a phone charger!! You can complain, but I think its in vain. They do excellent work! Its just slow. You can walk over to the mall, ...whats left of it. But we get all our tires here. Great tire warranty, cant be beat.
Appreciate the guys at this location inviting & fast workers got a new set of wheels & a alignment done for my Charger (less than 40 mins) also gave my car a evaluation for preventative reasons.
Bad service. My tire pressure is 30. They put in 38.5 in this hot summer day. What are they thinking? Careless workers I believe. Dont mention their dirty hands smudged black grease over my fabric interior.
Will not go back 3 hrs to change 4 tires and thats with an appointment after I told them I had to go to work and they just dont care as long as you pay a lot of money to them

Jaime and his staff were FANTASTIC!! They were slammed on a Sunday and took our broke down vehicle and ran the diagnostic so quickly. We ended up needing a whole new engine and they were so understanding. Since they couldn’t replace the engine themselves they actually met the tow truck for us so the car could be taken to the dealership. They were honest, kind and so helpful!!
They are just O.K. I received an oil change from this place once while on my break from work, not knowing this would take HOURSSS to do. Expect to do some waiting whether its a tire change, inspection or even as simple as an oil change. You will be waiting a long time. As far as repairs, my husband had to replace a radiator in his car it took a couple of days and the car was back up and running. The 2 stars that were taken off is mainly for the slowness; service and customer service is good just need help in the mechanic dept.

(Fixed this statement) Great service! A.c. is working great thanks Kathy! Took my truck back 3 days later with headaches and stomach problems. It was because they didnt fix my car and caused my family to get sick from a.c. leaking in to my truck. After I posted it was fixed and took it back because it was not fixed at all. They gave me my full refund and then sent me out the door with a broke truck. And they also messed with my radiator rubber cap because after I left there shop my radiator was spraying fluid on my engine. I will be filing a lawsuits for being burned and waste of time and money. Looking forward to seeing you again.Also Miss Kathy told me to hush and listen to her because she knows best. I was very disrespected and not taking care of
We rented a car from Enterprise and the car we rented needed an oil change we went to Firestone and they took care of every thing.
My wife was driving along 85 on her way up North to Philly when the tire pressure sensor light came on. We called ahead and slipped in for a check. This Team was great!!! (James, Jim, and Kallub). I knew it was the right place by the way James greeted me on the phone.Knowing my wife and daughter were trying to get to hotel in Blacksburg before dusk, they wasted not a moment trouble shooting and figuring it out! Thankfully the problem was simple. They were just a super group. No charge and they had her on the way in 15min. My wife and daughter were very impressed.

Can you give less than a start. Very displeased. Bout 2 tires at 35.99ea. Ended up costing 120 to get my car back. Thats 50 bucks for balancing. Said they installed valve stems. Wrong.!! They replaced the caps. Worst place Ive been.

They ordered tires for three cars for me and it only wound up taking an day to have them all installed. I do feel the pricing was high and as is the normal they were pretty high pressure on selling up other services. If they could have shown me a reason I needed those services as opposed to just saying I needed to do it (or my 3 late model low mileage cars would die) then they might have gotten more than a single star. Consumer be ware.
They took my van in right on time, and got me out in good time as well. They pointed out a couple of minor items but didnt pressure me to spend any extra. Good service, friendly staff.

My mother in law was an employee for years. My Aunt retired from the lab in the old Firestone in Gastonia. Firestone store is a totally different situation. Revolving door with faces. I hate I put my trust in them this long. They are deciving in the roadside hazards. They stripped the cap on the oil pan. I had it replaced at the Honda dealership.Just be aware and ask many questions.
Purchased a Lifetime Alignment more like a lifetime of headaches! Sounds like a great deal.....but since after the first alignment they do a quick alignment so fast that the constantly screw up the position of your steering wheel! This was the last time I visit this location! I cant keep coming back 3 times for them to get the alignment right! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! And they dont read nor listen to manufacturers recommendations! Try to sell you camber bolts rather than actually adjust the camber like the manufacturer recommends! Shady very shady.....dont trust this place! I sure dont!

Nice people (as Ive come to expect from experiences at other Firestones). I had tire trouble during a long drive home following a backpacking trip. They were busy & near closing time when I showed up, needing a hole in my tire repaired. Everybody was friendly & they fit me in so that I could make it home. My patched tire has worked great in the months since. Much appreciated.

I’ve had nothing but awful customer service here. Very Long wait times for even simple repairs. Last visit there was for a simple oil change. Waited almost 3 hours and then the manager comes to me saying the oil plug is stripped and that they can’t change the oil. Told them just take my vehicle off the lift and let me go somewhere else. I immediately took my vehicle to a different shop which they told me my oil plug was fine. They changed my oil in 15 mins. I’m never going back to Firestone.
Customer service was excellent! My car broke down and even though they werent able to fix everything there, they recommended a place to take it and helped arrange to have my vehicle fixed. Aaron and Eugenio were very nice and helpful at the counter and Davon (store manager) was such a huge help. Thank you Firestone!
I will never go back. I had an appointment to put 2 tires on front of my car and 2 hours later was still waiting for them to finish. I could understand if they were busy but it was just me and one other customer who walked in. I hate the fact that they do a complete inspection of your car and then try to get you to spend more money fixing what they recommend. I know its their job to try to squeeze as much money as they can from a customer, but STOP NOW please. People arent made of money and it sure as heck doesnt grow on trees.
Had an issue with the engine misfiring and Firestone was the closest place to take my vehicle. First they charge $114 just to look at it. Then to fix the issues, they wanted $700 more! Had my vehicle moved to my mechanic in Charlotte who fixed the issue for a little less than $200.

Got tires from there that make so much noise. Went back 4 separate occasions and still send me on my way. Every time its something different. The new tires are bad, your rim may be bent. If my car didnt make all that noise before the new tires than its obviously the new tires. Mind you I spent 800 dollars on this. I even went with an expensive tire. But everytime I get sent away with nothing fixed.

They didnt fully fix my car, I had to go back to them but they didnt charge me anything for having to go back. I didnt have a ride and had to wait there all day both days though. The people are pleasant and they try to explain what theyre going to do and whats wrong with your car though.

New calipers and brake pads to the tune of over $900. Drove less than 5 miles and the brakes went out totally. Thankfully I coasted to a stop and did not have a wreck. Still having nightmares about driving with no brakes. Terrible workmanship and terrible customer service.
This is the first time I am complaining about an issue from years ago, but I had to reference the situation in a review for the Belmont location. It is only fair that I share the same review for Gastonia as well...Don’t bother with Firestone. The Belmont and Gastonia locations have both damaged cars that my husband and I dropped off for service. My husband dropped off his car to be inspected in Belmont on Sunday 7/28. When he picked up his car, the plastic footplate to the left of the pedals (I don’t know what it’s called) was laying in his floorboard, broken in half. They did not admit to it and did not apologize. Only offered to order a part so that he could pay them to fix it. We have both been to this location previously a few times for small services like this one.About 5 years ago I took my car to Firestone in Gastonia and needed a brake light replaced. When I picked up my car, they said that there was an issue with the wiring and that neither brake light was working consistently and that they would go off an on. There was no availability for diagnostics that day, so I made an appointment for the following Saturday. I was not going to drive 17 miles each way to work with brake lights that may or may not be working during rush hour, so other arrangements were made for a full week. When I returned with my car the following Saturday, I was told that the bulb had been installed incorrectly and that they were now working. I was not charged for that visit, but also never received an apology for the massive inconvenience caused. We didn’t blame all Firestone locations for the issue in Gastonia, which is why we were comfortable taking our cars to Belmont on a rare basis, for small services like inspections or oil changes if our usual mechanic was lacking availability.At this point, what we have learned is that Firestone can’t be trusted with your vehicle. Even if they did offer to repair the plastic plate that was broken in his car Sunday, we would not accept. Firestone will not touch either of our cars again.

Poor customer service. First day I was in, my car came out worse than when I put it in after supposedly new spark plugs were placed. Front desk and facility manager Davon told me “come back in tomorrow, everything will be taken care of”... I left there with an understanding Services rendered would be free. The next day, it took them from 7 am to 3 pm to even get the parts needed. Finally the car was ready at 5 pm and I’m told I owe 600 dollars without any notice or prior conversations. They swindled me and I won’t be back.They also over charge guys ...

Had appointment at 11:00 am so I left car and returned at 1:15 pm to check on status of car and was told it would be another hour and a half before they would be able to check it. Called Corp Office to complain about service, they called store to find out what was going on and I was told they didnot really find out anything either. They would notify Regional mgr. A minute later store mgr called me and said they were doing the best they could and I could come by and pick car up and take it to the Belmont store were I had no appointment. That was unacceptable to me. Not only was that was poor customer service and rude but he suggested that I take my business some were else. My wife and I have been customers for over 20 yrs with Firestone, it sad to think that loyal customers would be treated this way. Firestone Corp. Needs to do a better job hiring employees and training them in the art of customer service. Repeat customers is the life blood of your business.Take care of your customers and they will take care of you.
Went in this past Saturday for a Tire Rotation, 1 hour later I get a call thinking my car was ready only to be told I had several things that needed fixing,battery,broken radiator cap etc...I knew something was not right, so i asked if my car was ready, I was told no; when I got to the shop I asked when it would be ready, all the while looking at my car just sitting there she came back and said just about done, 20 minutes later my car was ready. The items they listed that needed fixing such as replacing my battery, I had just purchased the battery not 3 month prior and just to make sure everything was good I took it to be checked and all was well. Had I not known what I have already had done to my car, I would have been paying for things that didnt need fixing. Will not be returning. Beware.

I set up appts there and always still end up waiting 3-4 hours just for an oil change. Set up an appt today for 3 got a call asking if I could change it to 2. The earliest I could do it was 2:30. Got there at 2:15 at 3 my car still wasnt pulled in the garage. Told them I was going to come back another day. They said if I could wait 30 minutes they would get it back there and done. At 3:30 they came out said my car had no oil in it and they couldnt get the cap off. I came home and my husband got the cap off and changed the oil in 20 minutes.
It took five hours to get tires and alignment.... Will go to Belmont location in the future. Great tires just a staff that dont care.
My daughter bought a car from enterprise and the breaks were squeaking so enterprise said take the car to firestone and they would cover it. Well when they checked it they gave her a paper saying she needed breaks so we dropped it off at 7am when they opened and they got the approval from enterprise by 11am. We told them she needed by 1 the next day at the latest so she could go to work... 3oclock the next day it still isnt finished and they said she dont need breaks! No phone calls or anything to tell us what is going on! I will never go back to this place and never recommend it and Im taking it to another place after we pick it up to check it out! How can they say it needs breaks and then say oops no it dont! I give them a -5 stars!
We brought my daughters car here to be fixed. Was told she needed drums and shoes on the rear. Dropped it off 7 am and the next day they say it just needed to be cleaned and lubed. Enterprise is paying for the work. And it 230 the next day and they are still not finished with it. If you have another choice do not come to firestone of Gastonia. Either they were trying to rip me off or they were trying to rip off enterprise. 32 hours and still eaiting
I came in for an alignment and I am very dissatisfied with the outcome. At first the man at the front desk (Jim I believe) was very friendly but when he tried to charge me for my alignment and I told him I have a lifetime alignment it seemed like he no longer cared about my service. He said you really should have said that before and had an attitude with everything he said after that. I dont understand why he was upset that I didnt pay todaybecause I paid for a lifetime alignment!! I just wanted to receive the service that I already paid for previously. He also tried to upsell me halfway through the alignment and after all of that, when Im driving back home I realized my car isnt even aligned! The steering wheel is still pulling to the right just as much as it was before I brought it in. I wasted my time and gas coming out here, just for them to be rude, try to upsell me things, and then not even fix the problem I came in for.
