As always Precision Tune hits its mark! Starting with their manager Dave that is very helpful, Profession and knowledgeable right along with his Techs. I took my car in for a miss-fire and this TECH is no joke. His name is Michael and he did an excellent job on my car! Where do you guys get these Techs from....man, theyre amazing! Longest experience Ive ever experienced there...2 and a half hours for an oil change. Normally great service.Also let a mechanic check people in this time rather than the clerk that usually. He kept referring to me as Boss Man wont say it was racial but noticed he didnt refer to the same way.This is my last time.

FIRST OF ALL... Dave Henderson is the man at Precision! I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Mr. Henderson. I called the day before to see their availability at the shop, he told me to be there at 8 AM, which I was. The vehicle was taken in right away and they fixed a radiator for me that was busted and they also checked on an ignition coil it wasn’t properly hooked up. The price was beyond reasonable and the time that the job was accomplished was well under my expectation of what an Auto shop normally does! Thanks again!

Would not recommend! First place I had to touch my car. Went in for an oil change & valve gasket cover replacement. They broke my ignition coil connector. Car was barely moving after I got almost all the way home. I took it to my own mechanic. I refused to take it back to a shop that already broke something on my car. What if they mess something else up ? Anyways... saying there is no way to Reimburse money spent to fix what they BROKE.

My favorite place to get oil change. Everyone in this place is awesome!

Paid for oil change with fluids top off and tire rotation. Two of my rims came back with center pieces broken off and my fluids werent topped off. Just because theyre cheap doesnt mean theyre good.

Quick, efficient, easy to work with. They pointed out an issue and gave me a realistic expectation of when to expect to replace the component.

My boyfriend took his car in for a tune up and check engine light, $400. Later the vehicle is in worse condition, check engine still on and the car is unsafe to drive. Great customer service, will NEVER use this establishment again. He could have died or killed someone else!!!!

Dishonest manager and back door, under the table sales. I was sold a defective wiring harness from the manager, Jamie Greene, during business hours. I was told that the harness was left over from a car that they serviced. I only realized the extent of the damage after I got home. The main harness connections are unusable. I got screwed over and will be steering clear of Jamie Greene and Precision Tune in the future.

Way to pricey for me

I will never go here again. I went on Thursday afternoon after scheduling an appointment with them. They helped all the walk in oil changes, who did not have appointments, before they even got to my car. I was there 3 hours. First they said nothing was wrong with the car and I explained to them another facility already found a leak. I explained my warranty company suggested it go to them. So they then found a small leak in my radiator, that would cost $1000, parts and labor. The guy said he would call me back first thing Friday morning after he spoke with my warranty company. Never received a call Friday or Saturday. I called him(Jamie Greene) Monday and he said he called me right back. I called my warranty company myself and they said that mechanic never called not once to inquire about my car. Only I called about my account. They did not want to help me at all although they are eager as hell to do oil changes all day long. I will never step foot in this place again. How hard is it to make a damn phone call!!!!! It’s also interesting how the owner only remarks on the good reviews and not the bad. You would think the owner would try to make upset customers happy. I have read many reviews from many companies and most of not all remark on the bad reviews to attempt to make the situation right. Or to appease the customer in some way. Not this place!!!!!!

Depending on the mechanics that are on site, the service that you receive is inconsistent. The Manager is nice and prices are reasonable, but I dont have as much confidence as I used to because of my experience over the years. Hopefully in the near future they will get all of the mechanics up to speed and trained on how to provide a better customer service experience.

There isnt a better shop in Gastonia. They have helped me find the most economical way to keep my truck on the road and the service is simply phenomenal. The experience and knowledge they bring to the table has made them my one and only shop.

Ive had problems in the past finding a good shop for my cars, until I found yall. They are the only ones I let touch my car. Just got an oil and transmission fluid change a few days ago in under 2 hours, and under $250. Not only are they the best, but affordable as well. Keep up the great work!!

Had issues with this place several years ago. But ran into different issues with new management with current garage and decided to try them again.I have been here three times now, and trust the guys here. They have done good work, so far, and seem trustworthy with how they conduct business.New management isnt always a bad thing in this case.

I love this place. They are always friendly and polite. They usually busy so its best to do an early bird or be there when they open. Jamie is the manger and is super nice, Donnie is the head tech. They WILL NOT try to sell you something that you dont need. Super place to keep your car up on its maintance.

If you care about your car, dont take it here. Customer service was fantastic and the oil change I got was done quickly, but then the oil filter came off, and my car stopped working. I work at a trucking company and had 5 mechanics and a tow truck driver witness the filter hanging off from being improperly put on. I understand this is a human business and mistakes happen so I was not mad, but wanted the problem resolved. They were courteous enough to tow my car and provide me a rental, but now in an effort to cover their own butts they are trying to tell me my battery was just dead (which we also checked at my shop) and it isnt their responsibility to pay for the tow. They are holding my car until I pay for it. I will be taking them to civil court if a solution isnt reached. I have pictures as well as 5 experienced witnesses. These are crooks and liars, which I would have never expected based on the way they treated me in the beginning. Theyre great until they make a mistake, then they dont want to take responsibility for it.

I used to be a VERY loyal customer of this garage while the now district mgr. Sonny was the Mgr. of this shop. He was honest, fair in pricing, & did good work w/one of his guys in the garage. (Who is no longer there).When he took a promotion, the next Mgr. was not as professional. I wont go on to list ALL the things that I noticed while there, but, it seemed to me that the level of service & professionalism just plummeted after Sonny left. Ive never been back.

I checked the box saying I didnt want them to do past $25 worth of work without my consent and they started doing everything anyway before they called me. I was able to talk them down to just the parts though so they did accommodate me there. I feel like theyre still major upsellers though.

While on vacation to NC, we noticed our steering wheel had begun shaking quite a lot, and we were planning on driving a few hours that afternoon from Gastonia. We called several places in the area with no luck, until Precision Tune said they could get us in that afternoon for a checkup on the steering system. Jamie was honest with us about the problem and the time it would take to solve it. We ended up needing a set of new tires due to (many) potholes moving around the steel bands in our already worn tires. He made sure to get the new tires mounted by the end of the day, they even stayed late for us. Thanks to the help from the people at Precision Tune, we were back on the road that evening.

I stopped by on the 20th of January to get a car diagnostic; my car(Nissan Juke) was making a horrible noise (Ticking noise coming from the engine), I paid $61.25 just for the diagnostic, which I was ok with. I was told it was the timing belt that needed to be replace, BUT that there was a campaign back a few years ago that Nissan had(timing belt replacement) to first check with them to see if they would replace it or to call them back for an cost estimate.,.. I called Nissan and they said the campaign was no longer active. I call Precision Tune on the 21st to get an estimate for the timing chain replacement, I spoke to “Jaime” and said he was going to figure out some numbers, and he would call me back.. He never did, I called the place again on the 23rd, and I was told “Jamie’ had the flu and that he didn’t specify how much it would be for the work I needed to get done . . . that they would call me again, when “he makes it back in to the office”.. . . it’s the February the 5th and no phone calls yet. Well, I don’t want them to call me anymore.It was not a $15 dollar job, that was not worth fixing.I took my car somewhere else paid $2400 that I was ok with paying, I just wanted it to get it done. UnprofessionalThanks for nothing.

The techs are great, very informative and professional. (at least the one i talked to which i believe was the main tech Donnie) The manager on the other hand, was actually sitting down in the lobby with the customers with her feet on the table had an AWFUL attitude to a few different customers and was pretty rude. and it seemed as though she knew nothing about cars. every time someone was asking her questions about their car, she could not explain anything and seemed as though she was struggling to even be able to tell you what part does what or how anything on a car worked, and would eventually go get a technician to do her job for her. this was not just me, i watched this happen with at least 2 other customers while i was there. This is where i have my problem, you have a manager that is supposed to be running a AUTO REPAIR shop, but knows nothing about cars, or how they work. and not to mention she has an horrible attitude to the customers, or just seems like she just does not care. and she also was very unprofessional in her appearance, she was the ONLY one not wearing ANY kind of uniform what so ever, she was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with what seemed like socks or something on the outside of her jeans and on her arms (weird), how about just wearing a jacket like everyone else?. and again, sitting in the lobby with the customer with your feet on the table...are you serious? needless to say, I dont think i will be bringing my car back to this shop due to the lack of management. again, the TECHS are great, manager, not so much.

Manager was rude and unacommodating. Left without having service performed. Went to Jiffy Lube and received fantastic service. Regardless of what the manager was personally experiencing, she should always be kind and respectful of patrons. Customer service can make or break you.

I went here twice. The first time was during the week. The place was dingy and smelled like burning oil to the point where I was sick to my stomach. I needed to get a car inspected. The man working the counter was pleasant. The car failed due to the headlight not being secured (enough for them) and the serpentine belt having cracks. My boyfriend fixed the 2 problems and we went back together on a weekend. The smell was 1000% better. It was cleaner (maybe they had a bad day on my first visit). The car passed inspection and we were on our way in under 15 mins.

I love this place because they are honest and Friendly the manager is one of the nicest people youll ever meet he does not try to upsell you or tell you you need things you dont he just gives it to you straight and offers a fair price with excellent service.

Its was great then I went in last week to have a bearing put in my car and when I came out my ABS light was on its a brand new car and thats an extra $200 to fix I think if they did something they should own up to it and fix it cuz my ABS light wasnt on when I took it there

I hate doing bad reviews but I don’t want anyone else getting scammed. So I went to this location because my car was squeaking when I had the ac on. I wasn’t to sure what it was so I called and They were really nice and helpful told me to bring it in and they will look at it. So I bring it in they only looked at it for like maybe 15-20mins to come back and tell me that I need a whole new air compressor because there was blockage causing it to squeak. I was looking at $1300.00 for parts and labor. I wanted a 2nd opinion so I took it to a Kia dealership. First the guy told me that in his 13 years working for Kia he’s never had to replace a ac compressor for one. He tells me to pull my car into the service spot and it took maybe 20mins for him to come back out and say the squeaking stop because it was just a BELT! I paid 30$ to get fixed. If a business is going to lie just to get commission and extra money for something that isn’t wrong they aren’t a good business and don’t deserve anyone’s money. This is so disrespectful and I will never go here or refer anyone here ever again! Absolutely HORRIBLE.

I left my car for an oil change and they cross threaded the oil filter and all the oil blew out and shut the engine down. The total engine repairs from the dealership that I purchased the car cost me over $4000.00. I informed the Precision Tune District Manager and was told that they would not pay for the repairs that it would cause their liability insurance to increase... This is very unfair and as of today I curse all the locations each time I see one.I know that one day it will come back on these crooks...

Took my husbands car down to get it inspected . Was in and out in no time .. I couldnt believe it . It was a great experience . Stacy Smith the store manager told me of some things that would be coming up that I would need to get serviced soon, so we went ahead set up an appointment to get everything taken care of . Went in for a wheel alignment came out worse than i came in tires worn down in two month when back to see if they can fix it they told me only 3 days warranty because he said if i hit a rock in the road it will take out of alignment but i think if they do it right they dont have to worry about a rock in the road

These guys are the best by far. I would suggest anyone who wants a trusting and knowledgable auto mechanic and someone who they can trust to go to Precision Auto Tune and speak with Jaimie.
