Fun little local coffee shop! Good coffee, good selection of food/snacks for a coffee shop too - coconut cake, pastries, breakfast burritos, fruit, pork dumplings. We came by in the morning but they have Cambodian food for lunch as well!

You have to try this place! The owner is such a nice and accommodating person. The coffee is good, the selection is good, and Im sure the food is also. You can get breakfast tacos (theyre as big as burritos), muffins, fresh fruit, and kolaches. For lunch she offers a wide selection of Cambodian dishes that look delicious. While youre there, sit back and enjoy the music. Youll hear a little Sinatra, Sam Cook, modern classical, and other relaxing tunes. I highly recommend locals and travelers alike stop by.

This is my second time here, but the last time I was here... was a year ago. I remember feeling excited to have an additional coffee option on the island - sadly its too far away from UTMB for me to pop in for an afternoon cup of joe.So, I had the Nova Lox on the Everything bagel. The bagel was a solid 4/5. It was good, just not the best nova lox of my life. No capers :/I ordered a caramel macchiato with soy. It was also just okay. It was piping hot when she first gave it to me so I let it cool for a little bit. It was a little weak.

I had a great experience while I was passing through Texas. I always try to support the locals. The lady owner was super sweet, I would definitely go back to this place and grab coffee again. Next time I’m going to try the food. You definitely need to go try this place and support your local Cambodian family.

If you havent been by to try the food and drinks here, do yourself a favor, drop everything and go now. On my last visit I tried the beef noodle soup and it was absolutely AMAZING. There is also a special ginger tea that was fantastic and for desert we tried the bread pudding with bananas and it is no exaggeration to say that it is the best I have ever had. Looking forward to trying more next time!

Cool place, owner was really sweet. They have veggie/vegan options which is cool cause in Galveston sometimes it’s hard to find that option. Only grievance was almond milk was $1.00 extra when every coffee shop I’ve been to (not Starbucks) is .75 cents max, maybe the option is just not as popular making it a lil expensive. But overall it was a good experience and I’d return again :,)

The food and drinks were good (I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and a hazelnut iced latte), but the woman working could have been friendlier. She wasnt rude, but I never felt welcome. I felt more like a bother than a customer. Ill probably go back because the bread used on my sandwich was a delicious, fresh baguette, but Id probably get my order to go instead of eating it there.

Visited the Happy coffee shop before getting on a cruise. My family and I enjoyed the coffee and food (egg rolls and steamed buns) so much that when we returned to port our first stop was to go back again before coming back home to Kansas. We definately will make the Happy coffee shop a must stop the next time we are in Galveston.

Good vibes from the minute you step inside this small, comfortable coffee shop. Sit at the counter and see the action and talk to the owner, or grab a table and a pastry or some soup.My coffee was excellent, strong yet not bitter.Do you know how hard that is, to get it just right?

Have gone to this coffee shop many times over the years, they have good coffee, good breakfast food, and very good interesting Cambodian food specials. However, my last two visits the woman working behind the counter has been very rude and has messed up our orders. I do not think I will be going back unless I am really wanting Cambodian food. Very disappointing development.

I have given this place two chances, because everyone has a bad day now and then; however, the food and coffee are not good enough or inexpensive enough to tolerate the owner. I’m assuming she’s the owner, because an employee would have been fired by now. I’m not sure how long this place has been open, but I am sure it would be a great deal better if she hired someone to help so that she could stay in the kitchen. She threw my bag of food and incorrect drink on the counter before hastily retreating to the kitchen. I do not recommend. Side note: she charges $1 for almond or soy milk.

We went to this place with my husband to get some coffee after seeing it off Broadway. Weve never heard of the place before. We walked in, and had to almost shout to her in the back to get her attention. There was no other customers. Asked for cold brew coffee, and the way she told us no seemed like she was offended that we even asked at all. I got an iced latte and it was decent. I ordered a kolache too which seemed like it had been sitting for a while. We were there at noon on Sunday. My husband eats vegan and ordered a spinach bun with no cheese. She confirmed no cheese and when she brought it out.. it was full of cheese. I told him to ask her about it and when he did she said this is what you ordered, its too late to change it, and made it clear this was our fault with a rude tone. Even if its what we ordered (it clearly wasnt, as he asked for other vegan options) this food item was the worst. It mustve been soggy when she microwaved it because you could NOT pick any part of it up without getting mashed soggy bread and oily cheese (if you can consider it cheese) all over your hands. You wouldnt even have been able to eat it with a fork, and this is supposedly hand food. Her attitude was as if she didnt want us to be there, much less return. And we wont. We love supporting small business, but we cant support one that treats the customer like a nuissance.

Summary:sub par expensive coffee, tiny place, unwelcoming staff, tasty food, good decor.I went there with a friend and was greeted by a woman who had an emotionless expression. Their menu said to ask about coffee selections. I did so, and she acted annoyed and pointed to the thermos behind her on the counter which said French roast. She didnt say a word. I felt very u welcomed like she didnt want me there. The coffee tasted like something I can make in my Keurig. It was more expensive than MOD Coffee AND doesnt offer refills even for a discounted price. My friend got a frapp and he said it was too icy with not a lot of flavor in it. The place is also tiny. With that and the lack of refills its not a good spot to just hang out. That said, the decor inside was pleasant and the food did taste pretty good. We tried their pork buns and meat pies.Bottom Line: for coffee or hanging out its not worth it visiting. Food is good though. If you dont mind the unhappy person manning the register at the happy coffee shop

Ridiculous experience with poorly trained and incompetent individuals.Ordered a latte, medium hot, extra shot.there was 1 customer order ahead of me.20 minutes later.. still no latte..I watched 2 employees fumble around aimlessly trying to make 2 smoothies..One was doing something in the kitchen to prepare an order that had already been made incorrectly for someone waiting longer than I had even been in the shop. Finally get my coffee... it was made way hotter than I had asked, missing the extra shot..so, basically I had a $6.00+ cup of steaming hot coffee flavored milk.HORRIBLE and FRUSTRATINGDo NOT NOT NOT go there if you want a good coffee or any sort of customer service.
