We were looking for an assortment of coffee drinks and some whole roasted coffee beans, i picked up half a pound of campeche blend, brewed some and im a fan. Ill try some other blends my next visit, yes there will be more visits, these are great tasting beans. They have a walk up window where you order, the inside part is still closed to john q. public. They have a small sign with very basic info so its hard for newbies to figure out what to order. I got the impression that they dont do a full line of coffee drinks so we went elsewhere to fill that need.

This is the coffee spot for purchasing freshly roasted coffee beans after tasting each coffee blend while the owner ( a fellow Texan) describes their essence. Although you can’t order a cappuccino or latte here, this is the best coffee! It’s sold down the street at a local coffeeshop-ha! I’m drinking the Pelican blend back home in Austin and it’s delicious 😋 You’re missing out if you don’t stop by to taste the coffee blends here.

I hate giving a place one star and there were some redeeming qualities about the place, but...Unfortunately the comments about rude staff are entirely warranted. The initial interaction is fine but after they have your money the vibe is like, ok we want to serve the next person, even if there is no next person in line. They dont actually listen to your questions and the coffee is really just ok. Not bad but nothing to write home about. They do freshly grind the beans there though if you need ground coffee.Cleanliness, well since you cant go in and look around at all, I guess its pretty clean. I didnt see anything from the window that made me think otherwise.Parking... They are in a difficult area to park but thats all of that area of Galveston. But that also means they are easier to get to if you are already shopping the strand. If you are looking for a good place to get your coffee and feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer Id suggest Red Light Coffee Roasters a few blocks away. The parking is even easier there. A little further from the main Strand area but also a nice break.

I am from Arizona. I went out of my way to buy 1 to 12 bags of flavored coffee. My brother loves their coffee.I approached the door and the woman in charge waved her hands at me and pointed at the window. She asked me what I wanted. I told her I didnt know and she directed me to look at a simple typed out list of about 20 types of coffee.I dont think they realize that we, the travelers, have been extremely inconvenienced by this pandemic, too. Providing a more detailed professional coffee list with prices and offering something other than a small window opening (3 feet high) that forces customers to bend into an uncomfortable knee-bending, neck twisting angle are offsetting.I know everyone is tired and frustrated with this virus that originated in China. The woman in the coffee shop was wearing a loose-fitting bandana as protection and it was so loose fitting that didnt even stay up on her face. The customer hasAs a customer, I had to accommodate their locked door, small 3-foot high bank teller type window with a haphazardly typed list of coffee flavors。 85just seemed I had to make all the changes in the transaction. I was upset. It was difficult to stand there and watch someone in the coffee shop walk in and out 3 or 4 times passing right by me. (No social distancing.) Not being treated as a customer was upsetting. I told her so and She told me I was having a bad day, and that she wasnt going to sell to me.If thats the way they want to do business, thats fine. They lost a sale and as the poster out side the shop says local businesses pay for dance classes for their daughters...I was willing, but the shop wasnt.

Beginning to love this place as much as Mod Coffee. They only serve straight coffee with cream and sugar for those who want it, and drip cold-brewed coffee, but its significantly cheaper than Mod and just as good, if not better. The coffee is just fantastic. This is the only place that had flavored coffee I actually love. Its called marshmallow creme and I was shocked to find it to be resoundingly delicious. The owner is a great guy and very helpful. Oh. And ask for a sample of the grenade gum to clean your palate. For the next week.

Owners are wonderful people-- are genuinely kind and personable, very fun to talk to with neat stories from when they lived in Hawaii. Their Pailolo blend is to die for. Have yet to find a roast that makes a better stove-top espresso. So good that I prefer to drink it black. Large selection of rotating samples allows you to try out the different roasts and flavors they have. As far as flavored coffees go, their Hazelnut roast is a winner. For a local, family-owned business who roasts and flavors their own coffee, prices are not unreasonable. Definitely a local business worth supporting!
