Had a great time seeing art in this café.. enjoyed a few beer flights and the barista had great suggestions for our first visit to the island. We happened to be there during an art walk day, had a lot of fun exploring the art in near by stores. The pizza was good.. the coffee could be better.

A true neighborhood bar with a great vibe. Our bartender was hilariously friendly and professional and whipped us up some amazing drinks. PRO TIP: Get the candied hibiscus with sake, trust me. Its called Spooky Hibiscus.

There are a few reasons MOD Coffeehouse has a line outside versus this place. One of them being customer service. This may be the only place on the island where you get lukewarm chai and cold customer service in 80°F weather in October. Maybe the chai teas were intentionally lukewarm because there werent anymore insulator sleeves? Maybe rude service because we interrupted her convo with her bff?4 ⭐s for the community space and artwork

Love this place I love going here between bars, to get myself a cup of coffee and I love how you can get a high craft beer or if youre into wines they have a great wine selection. The art gallery is always changing with new artist almost every week in this is also a spot that you can stop have a drink your kids can enjoy the place and I would always suggest the Katies milkshake

The server with dyed hair and gauges was extremely rude. I was asking her for the code of the bathroom and without even finishing my sentence, she responded with an attitude, “the code is 3041. Did you get that? 3…0…4…1….” She made me feel unwelcome as well as the group of friends I was with. I’m not one to complain but when it comes to treating people with respect, she completely lacked that. We were planning on staying for a few drinks but decided to take our business elsewhere. It says they are LGBTQIA*+ friendly but I did not feel that way. NEVER AGAIN!

Customer service was horrible. We stopped by today around 2/3 pm for a drink. The bartender did not greet us. We sat at the bar and she said nothing still. Once I found a menu myself my sister and I each ordered one drink and she SPOKE! ...She asked if we wanted to close out! Another set of ladies walked in and same thing. They walked straight back out. We would have done the same if we hadnt been so thirsty!

The bartender with short hair and gauges was rude af. I asked if I can get the code for the restroom. Without finishing my sentence, she interrupts me with a loud and sarcastic voice, 30...41. 30! 41! It was so unnecessary how she approached the situation. It made me uncomfortable to stay after.

The space was actually really nice and seemed like a cool place to hang out and drink but the bartender was very short with me and my group, someone asked for the code to the bathroom and she became upset when he asked he to repeat herself, it made me feel unsafe and unwanted.

Worst experience EVER. If I could leave it at no stars I would. The “girl” at the bar was extremely rude!! As soon as we entered she provided horrible customer service. We asked for a latte and with a loud and rude tone she stated that the machine was already put up and only had drip coffee and that she would NOT warm the milk up (which we were not even going to ask for). Honestly it felt like she just didn’t want to serve us at all. There is no need to treat a person the way she did. If you cannot provide customer service why work in the industry? We are all people and deserve RESPECT!

Cool building. Hot mocha was not good. Pizza slice took a long time. Easy to park there on Sunday. Regardless of the retort below I personally found things to be very slow there on a Sunday. Im assuming most pizza is made by hand since thats how pizza works. I had some time to look around at the art. Overall 3 stars is fair.

To the owner,We revisited your establishment and I must say we had a much better time. We sat down at the bar and the bearded bartender was great. We like the way he tells it like it is and the service he gave us was top notch. Another thing we liked was the journals that you could write poems in or draw in, I myself started a drawing I hope to come back in soon to finish. Even though you only have 12 beers on tap what you offer on those 12 taps were all great craft beers and the bottle selection is real good as well. Thanks again for the 5$ token and steering us to your place, we will be back for sure and as you can see I readjusted my rating to reflect our satisfaction.

My boyfriend and I happened upon this place in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon. It had great coffee drinks and happy hour drinks like mimosas. They even had a pizza special when we were there. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and the art that was featured at the time.We ended up going later that same evening for an open mic poetry reading followed by a duo. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Galveston.

This is a nice comfortable bar just two blocks off the strand. They have an very nice selection of interesting craft beers and other drinks, so you can bring non craft drinkers. They allow dogs inside so it is a great place to get out of the Galveston heat and enjoy a drink. They do not serve any food. The location is a loft for artists so they feature the local artists work so there is always something interesting to look at. We tend to make it a regular stop when we visit the island.

This venue has wonderful community gathering events such as art exhibitions and poetry nights. They have a limited bar selection however have all the staples needed to fulfill guest requests. They also offer wine by the glass or by the bottle, which is rare for a bar without a restaurant, but makes for wonderful outings with groups and friends. The indoor area offers generous seating and patronage is there to socialize and study alike, such a diverse mixture of people located directly under the Artist Lofts in Galveston. The outdoor seating area is an excellent spot to hang out and meet locals and friends in passing as is it is located in the historic district of downtown Galveston. The owner is often on premises and does a fantastic job of engaging his clientele as well as fostering a sense of community and well-being.

The employees at this location are some of the nicest you will find anywhere! They give AMAZING customer service, and really go above and beyond in positive community relations. I cannot say enough good things about the employees! There are monthly poetry-reading nights, where folks come from all over to participate in!! It is also part of the ARTWALK, which means that it display collections from artists, which changes every 6 weeks! Oh, and remember that its a PUBLIC HOUSE, which means that there are tons of board games-great for group outings!! It is pet-friendly, with a water bowl near the door for your FUR-BABE!! HOW COOL IS THAT!! For those folks visiting, I rate this place a whopping 5 stars! Have a great year everyone, and go check out the drink list and Gallery at The Proletariat! BADDA-BOOM!!
