Amazing company to work with. The customer service is one of the best in the area. We needed a storage space that day, they were able to oblige us, and were so nice! We had called about 10 places before with nothing available and were not as obliging.

Awesome customer experience with Extra Space Storage!!! I needed a unit the same day and I was able to get what I needed very quickly! The facility was clean and well maintained. Katja who helped me get all setup was super helpful. She had me all taken care of and out the door in less than 10 minutes. When it came time for me to move my stuff out of the unit I was lucky enough to have Katja help me again. She was pleasant and again very helpful. I will defiantly use Extra Space Storage again for my future storage needs.

Beverly was very efficient and quickly helped me to get my storage setup. Extra Space Storage is so easy to use and at this particular site, I can tell my items will be safe ands readily accessible. Each expense is clearly explained, no surprises. And I did like the electronic version of signing, it seemed like I was setup in ten minutes. I recommend Extra Space Storage in general, but especially recommend this one with Beverly as the customer rep on site.

The process was perfectly simple the entire time. I had the Bluetooth lock which meant that I was always able to get in. The closeout process was a breeze also, I simply emptied the unit and walked in and let them know.

Great storage unit with a super smooth and simple moving in/moving out process. I never had any issues, nor did I have anything to claim about. The main reason I choose to leave was because of the market change in rent. I was paying almost $30 dollars more than I was on a $40 dollar 5 X 5 unit. Which is a relatively small and cheap unit. The price for the unit was $40ish and it went up to $70 due to market changes.

Renting storage space here was easy, pleasant and efficient. The manager explained the pricing structure and presented a couple of options that fit my needs. The unit I rented was clean. The entire layout was neat and well lit. The “Blue Tooth” lock was a bonus: I didn’t have to buy a lock. I was able to access my rented unit from my smart phone. No lost keys or combinations to remember. I’ll definitely rent from “Extra Storage” again.

Rated 4 stars due to the digital Bluetooth code they now offer instead of a physical lock. Not sure what genius thought of this, but how am I supposed to get in my storage if I lose my phone?

Beverly was great. I haven’t been to my unit yet. I was confused at first about pricing, they don’t advertise details of your month to month, just pricing of the unit, not including insurance and admin fee (so much for “free month” lol) either way, I hate renting, there are always stipulations that aren’t clear at first, and if your like me, never acquired a storage unit, pricing can be confusing. However, customer service is great!

I’m giving one star to emphasize my point about how HORRID the non existent gutter system is on the buildings.There are literally no gutters anywhere on this storage facility. Whenever it is raining and I open my storage door I get SOAKED just walking through the door because there is water constantly dripping at a fast rate.It is incredibly frustrating having to deal with this because It can be light sprinkling outside but because the water collects at the top of the storage door and drops straight down it feels like a rainstorm.I have no other issues with this facility. I think it’s extremely clean and has decent employees.Fix your gutters and I’ll fix my review.

Katya was very patient and personable while helping me set up my service. The in-store rep (forgot his name) was also very patient with my questions and polite in his response. The property is pristine and my unit is very easy to access.

My entire process with ExtraSpace storage has been pleasant. Easy online reserve application, to going into make my payment. I would definitely recommend for all of your storage needs. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of space.

Horrible place! Thier unit space is not what is advertised online or in person. An advertised 10x 10 climate control unit was actually 9x8, a big difference in square footage, and was the same price.. The General Manager, Joe does not abide by social Distancing, and touched my phone with out permission. Never came and switched out the light that was out, after stating he ( Joe)would. We waited over an hour for him to come so we could fill the unit, and he left without putting in a new light, so we could see. I was told I would be getting a call, though could not tell me a name of who was calling. No call or message was received today. When social Distancing is a priority in todays society, Joe insisted I had to go back into the office to sign 0aperwork, when all he did was send it to my phone. He also said that I had to buy locks( use theirs), only to find out other units had private locks. The Better Business Burrow will be called, shortly. Horrible experience.

Stopped by our storage unit to pick up some supplies for our candle business - Katja was so helpful - she went above and beyond to assist us with the new app, etc - Katja was so friendly and attentive - and I look forward to seeing her again in a future visit.

I had a short term need for storage, which actually doubled very quickly. I was able to arrange for another unit virutally instantly, and even had a lock delivered to my unit to accomodate my move. I couldnt be happier with the customer service Ive received.

I had originally given this place a 5 star review. Now 3 months later, I am livid. Most of my stuff in the unit was destroyed and COVERED in mouse/rat feces and urine and chewed up. Most of the time the gates are just wide open anyways so whats the point in even having it. Im at a loss as to why these people are even still open. Office seems to be closed most of the time but when they are open the woman up front is always nice. Just highly irritated and upset I lost so so so many things even though I was told and charged or pest and rodent treatments and insurance that apparently doesnt cover any of my items in the unit. I do NOOOOOT recommend using this place.

Update: Aug. 11, 2020Joe once again saved me from paying a penalty. I had to cancel the credit card due to fraud when my automatic payment came due on my storage unit. Joe called to follow up as the credit card on file of course did not go through for my payment. He helped walk me through adding my new credit card over the phone. In addition to that he helped take care of another update on my other storage unitTransferring this same information to my other contract with Extra Space Storage at another location and creating an updated contract with the corrected information.This has been the third tome I have had the privilege of working with Joe. He has been nothing but pleasant, kind and extremely thorough and consistently so!Joe you rock!! Thank you again Joe!! :-)June 2020:Joe was extremely helpful, courteous, and kind! Extremely patient and answered all my questions. He helped me the best deal possible for needs. Renting a unit here was the EASIEST part of my moving process. The manager Joe Hart was fast, efficient and super friendly! I was also able to purchase a lock and other moving supplies that I needed there as well, eliminating yet another stop! I was also able to get the exact size unit I needed and it is climate controlled which was important to me. HIGHLY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!

I had a very positive experience, and would recommend to others. I rented for about two years, and just moved so no longer need the unit or else I would still be there. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with. The facility was secure and clean. I had a smaller unit that was temperature controlled which was a great bonus. If I ever need to rent again, this will be my first choice.

Had the unit for a little over a year. Was inside the climate controlled area and everything wash still how I left it, without any bugs or damage to my stuff. Very clean facility to store just about anything and well kept. Would recommend if you looking for somewhere to store your stuff for long or short periods of time. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stopped in to see what was available and Joseph Hart was extremely friendly and professional and SUPER helpful. He took us to see various sizes of available units even when he knew there were not enough available for our needs. He directed us to another Extra Storage Space after he checked to see if our storage needs would be met there. I cannot give enough positive feedback to such an employee who goes above and beyond. I cannot speak for any other, Extra Space Storage, besides 2403 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Be very careful, if you consider your valuables to be personally worth it. The management are slick enough to auction your valuables while even making payments, furthermore, without notice. If you ever were to fall behind on payments but still successfully pay them off, the difference will never get adjusted from their system. They will stack inquiries against their customers to allow themselves the excuse to hound your unit. I would never recommend this specific facility, if you have any love for what you own. They will love your possessions too, so much theyll itch to auction them off! Finally, if I could go lower than a 1 star, this would be more fitting.
