Came to pick up an auctioned storage unit, and the staff were friendly and made it easy. They let us use their carts to help move stuff out of the unit, and the unit was clean and secure. Would recommend for renting units, and buying them from auctions.

You should shop around for whatever deal you can find at any given point in time as storage is rarely cheap. Location and ease of access were important to me. This place is super clean and the climate control is a bonus. The staff are super nice, accommodating, and available during regular business hours. One gentleman even helped me unload my truck of heavy boxes. The only hidden fee (?) was the special fitting lock ( currently $12.) You can bring your own which may save you a few bucks, but youll need the specs. Youll get a code for gate access and overall I felt safe whenever I was there.

This was the easiest set up I could have asked for when getting a storage unit. I was able to call the customer service number and ask questions about sizing, pricing, and more. I then got to set up my payment and sign the lease virtually which was great given the current circumstances. Checking in was fantastic. Deb was working the desk and walked me through the process of how to get in and out, my code, the keys, and what to do when it comes time to moving out. I cannot recommend them enough! I’m very satisfied with the experience and the help I received over the phone and from Deb at the individual location.

Deb was super friendly when getting me set up with a new unit. Prices are super reasonable, especially when compared with our old storage facility. The climate controlled space is nice and clean. Highly recommended!

Very pleased with self storage plus in Fredericksburg on Harrison Rd. The staff is courteous and helpful. The facility is very clean. Very secure. Well lit for evening access. We have an indoor climate controlled unit. The indoor lighting is well lit as well. Check them out. You will be pleased.

Its where I have a unit and it is a nice experience to come and go within the open times 6a-10p to drop or get stuff.The office I think is open from 8a or 9 a to 5p

This location is easy to access and clean with very spacious units. The team there, Chris and Deb are terrific and very customer focused. Highly recommend!

I was very disappointed in this storage facility. I went in over the Friday or Saturday before Memorial Day weekend! I rented a storage unit and didn’t use it at all. I came back in on Tuesday after Memorial Day to return the keys and told them I needed a bigger unit they didn’t have any they never gave me the contract I ask for in print. They had the wrong email address. I called two other of their locations and never received a call back! One person I spoke to said they would send the regional manager a text that’s how they communicate! I looked up the number for their headquarters in DC and still to this date 7/12/21 I have not received my money back and they had already rented my unit. That’s double dipping! I think this goes on a lot at the one here on Harrison Rd. They also have a sign first month free see manager! That’s how they get people in. It’s only the 5x5 they tell you after you’re already inside. Their attitude to one person after he left was oh well it’s free! Then they began talking about upper management in front of me and saying it had to be a man with so many 5x5 units! Totally rude!

I have never had such a smooth transaction and more helpful employee than Deb. Not only did she explain everything to me in a clear and easy to understand way, she made sure that the unit I had purchased (which wasn’t the one I thought it was) would still work for what I needed it for. Most employees would say it would be fine or try and up charge me for a bigger unit, but Deb took the time to walk me to the unit first to let me see if it would work. Definitely recommend Self-Storage Plus to anyone who needs a self storage unit.

We love all the employees at this location. They are very courteous and considerate and kind. We love the fact that the facility is very kept clean. We never see any roaches or any kind of bugs in the building. We feel very safe there when we go in the evenings. The building is always well lit and safe. I been using Self Storage since September of 2020, and I’m very pleased. Chris help me, he was very nice and answered all my questions. And the storage center in very clean and I never had a issue. I would recommend them.

I didnt like that they just jacked the price up and they dont honor a military discount that they advertise. Place is nice, the temperature control could be better.

My experience has been not so pleasant with the Self Storage Plus. I feel completely deceived by the entire process. I was told I was a getting a specific unit on the first floor and was told it was on hold for me. THE DAY I moved in and still thinking I was going to that unit...and was told after I paid up front for 3 months that I would have to go to the 3rd floor in the far corner. Unbeknownst to me, the prices quickly increased and I was not told about that. TODAY 12/10-the new mgmt called to apologize for that experience. Im grateful at least she called me!

Found this storage facility before moving from out of state back to Virginia. Best experience we’ve had using a storage unit! Very clean and climate controlled so you’re things will be in the condition you left them! Wonderful experience using them, if I need to get a storage unit again I will only use this company! I was needing to upgrade my storage needs. This Self Storage Plus site is a newer facility and much more convenient access. Getting the signed up and sign in was fast and easy. The on-site personnel were very helpful and friendly. The property is clean and well maintained. My storage area is exactly what I was looking for. The integral lock was a pleasant plus.

The staff here is professional and the facilities are well maintained. I have been a loyal customer since they opened their business (I was the third person to rent a unit at only $225 per month). I am a military retiree and I have one thought of caution to you - DO NOT rent from this facility - EVER! I have seen frequent and unannounced rate increases that cannot be justified. For example, eight months ago my 10x20 unit had risen to $268 per month (a little high but it was a clean new facility and close to home). Four months later the monthly rent jumps to $289. Who would have thought that another four months has passed and the rent jumps again to $329. That is three significant rate increases in just nine (9) months. Not to mention that the mandatory storage insurance fee has raised higher each time too. Total costs today, for the same unit I originally rented for $225, is now $345.00 a month. It is absurd to think that a facility that has not had any changes/upgrades/etc. would be passing on a 53% rate increase in such a short time. Please be very careful before getting sucked into Self Storage Plus in Fredericksburg, VA.

So far I have a very good experience..but I feel that if I am paying for climate control for an inside storage that it should be as cool in my storage unit as cool as it is in the office..just think for example..if you were to store a leather coat etc. And you visit your climate controlled unit and its just as hot as it is outside ..that means your leather coat will be ruined and other expensive items that shouldnt be in 90 degree or more heat.
