My wife and I really like this store. Not in our town one reason we dont go all the time. When we do go they usually have everything neededThere buy one get one sales are fantastic.

Big Y has always had very high prices, compared to Market Basket. But they used to have really great sales, like buy one get two free, etc, and youd get Big Y coins for further savings. But they did away with most of that, and now they are just another high priced supermarket like Stop & Shop and Shaws. Their fish and chips plate in the seafood section is really good though.

Always a great experience. And NO self registers so unlike Shaws they have more than 2 people ringing.

I love shopping at Big Y. I like wide variety of ice cream choices plus I think there prices are than shaws.

Best employees, nice set up. I that❤ can perform multiple tasks; errands ; and shop all in one place which is very convenient along with all the positive that I have seen enough store on from the variety of food to the employees and the customer service to the condition of the store it was and still is the only one of the best places I go 2 get things done!

The worst experience, I ordered a birthday cake in advance gave specific instruction of what I needed . Turns out they forgot to make the cake, they offered me a free cake but was pressed for time. I specifically told them time I needed it ready for pick up. Then they couldnt print what I needed on cake and ended up giving up . Not having a cake for my child is rough they said they were understanding and gave me a gift card but had no cake .Chris as I recall was very apologetic but in the grand scheme of things no cake Thanks Big Y for hurting a mom and a kid that was the result. They did offer a free cake but was unable to wait plus there printer for images was not working so I chose to leave some people do work . oh and on the way out cashier wanted to charge me for gift card this is ridiculous.

Terrible! They never have what I need. Everything is imported and you never know what is going to be in stock. It smells awful at times. Their produce sucks 😕and is too expensive. The only reason I go there is to get my Hostess, but I found them elsewhere, TG! Half of the stuff they sell, I have no idea what it is???

The most frustrating thing is the pre-made soup containers. Getting them open is nearly impossible lol. Please PLEASE fix the plastic seal so you can grab it and so it actually releases from the container instead of sticking where u have to cut it off. Its the most frustrating thing in the world. Other than that the stores an average but good store!

Wish I could give zero stars. My friend just bought a home in Franklin and when looking for lunch today I suggested to go here and check out this local grocery store over other options. What a mistake. We got a party pizza for the game and when I showed up at the counter 30 minutes later (when i was told it would be ready) I can see the pizza on the counter with no toppings, and the gyro explains they weren’t prepped for it, ok whatever. I go explore the store with my friend who throws 100$ worth of food in his cart. He asks for them to use a card because he doesn’t Have one, and their policy is to not do that but have you sign up for one, which is fine. But when he says he doesn’t have time to sign up the young girl manager says to him “well then you can’t have the deals then.” So needless to say that’s the last cent a new to town person will be spending there, but let’s go back and check on that pizza! Good news is it’s in the oven now after 40 minutes, and 50minutes but I walk away because I don’t want them to feel rushed. I return 5 minutes later and there it is on top of the oven but alas there is a line and a woman in it who wants every option on the menu explained to her. So I continue to wait. I finally get my pizza with an obligatory and quick sorry about that and off I go, an hour and 5 minutes later. I Get back to his house to find it only has topping on about 40% of it and it’s got a half inch layer of raw dough on top of it. Wonderful, we are waiting for his appliances so we spend all day trying to reheat each individual slice in the air fryer because I don’t have another hour to waste going back there to try to get this nightmare rectified. That being said 0/10 would recommend not eating over going to this branch. Oh I also forgot that my friend had two bags that he had to pay 20 cents for that both ripped, one being put into the car and one being taken out. This place is a literal joke.

We find everything we need and more.Reasonable price and great sale items.We are retired and can shop anyplaceAnytime and we find Big Y has the mostFriendly staff anyplace.

I like big y because its convenient, and the prices are at least better than stop & shop. In normal times Id rather go to Market Basket for the better prices and slightly better selection, but with covid Im happier to big y because its less crowded.

I just LOVE this food store...its as close to a Whole Foods as you can get...the meat selection is outstanding...butcher shop quality! Bakery is yummy..beautiful AND tastes good! Produce is always fresh! Seafood is terrific...AND after I buy all of my groceries, I dont need to make an extra stop at a liquor store if I want beer or wine. The SELECTION IS GREAT!!!!

I have always loved shopping at Big Y. There is a wide selection, good prices, and very friendly staff. This has also been one of the best grocery experiences I have had since the COVID changes were started. They devised a good flow through the store so shopping is less stressful. The staff has also still been exceptionally friendly throughout.

Great setup/decor. Odd arrangement of items in store but you can make your way easy enough. Expect a little better selection to be honest. Can have some great sales. Prices are good bit you can often get cheaper at Market Basket in Bellingham. The Big Y big sales/coupons are the only place that allow them to beat Market Basket prices.

Expensive!!! Not sure why?? It seems they care more for expansion of alcohol section over being a shopping store for middle income families.

I love big y. Its now my favorite grocery store. They dont have everything that a huge store has but there bakery is amazing and they have everything they do carry well stocked. Its clean and the employees are so nice. They have eliminated plastic bags so bring reusable bags. They have a small wing bar. The lines arent super long either.

Ive found this to be an outstanding place. Not just a food market, but a one stop. It seems here one can find a wide range of food products. Recently,theyve added wine and beer which is convenient when shopping and preparing for the holidays. After shopping, I always have a great lunch because there is so much to choose from in the bakery and deli area. Ive also forgot to mention a very friendly and helpful staff. One of them was very helpful putting groceries in the car for my sister and I.

I dont really grocery shop here, I find it a bit expensive but the pizza Big Y makes is the best in town! Huge slices, generous toppings for a fair price. The store itself is very clean and the people are very friendly and always so helpful, too.

Friday July 3, 2020 at 430pm; I called the Big Y in Franklin, MA to place a seafood take out order. The order consisted of 3 boiled chicken lobsters, 3 fish and chip dinners and 1 fried shrimp dinner. The Big Y employee who took my order (Derek) was not thrilled that I was placing my order and requested I come into the store to place my order. I explained to Derek that I have always called in the order and picked up. Derek was unprofessional and unnecessarily unpleasant regarding my order. His attitude was annoyed and put out that the kitchen would be closing at 630 and I was placing an order (reminder I called at 430 not at 625pm). I inquired with Derek; if it would be better to pick up at a certain time. Derek agreed and took my order. I confirmed with Derek that the entire order would be ready at 6pm on July 3rd. Derek still was not thrilled that I was placing a take out order; he had an attitude the whole conversation.My daughter-in-law arrived at 6pm to pick up the order. My daughter-in-law waited an hour for the order to be complete; a fried shrimp dinner (which only had 4 shrimp), 2 fish dinners (which were missing the tartar sauce & coleslaw) and 3 cooked lobsters. The lobsters were lukewarm, tough & the dinners were cold; which is puzzling since we were told the dinners were being cooked while we waited. The Big Y employees were rude and inconsiderate to myself and my daughter-in-law. I called to discuss the issue with the manager when the food arrived home. The manager Scott was very dismissive that we experienced this. He refused to believe his staff treated us this way. The food was awful; it was cold, rubbery and missing most items. Scott  was going to look into this and get back to me; I had to follow up with Scott regarding this issue. Scotts excuse was Covid-19 and not being staffed correctly. I understand Covid had impacted a lot of processes however Big Y was accepting orders for take out. The employees were extremely rude and inconsiderate! This is unacceptable behavior from the employees and manager. After my pushing Scott to understand my frustration with Big Y and how it is unacceptable to be subjected to this; he relented and agreed to refund my order. He was very passive aggressive and wanted to know if the food tasted better once he was going to provide a refund. There is no need to act this way. As as store manager you should be modeling behavior that your employees will see and follow; clearly the employees see the way Scott treats others and acts the same.While my daughter-in-law was waiting she went to the bakery and inquired if they had cannoli dip; the employee working at the counter said yes there is dip in the back but I am not going to get it.  The employee stated the dip was in the back and too far to go and get it. The employee chose to to be rude; had the employee decided to state we are extremely busy and I am not able to leave the bakery we would have understood. Instead the employee acted unprofessional and lazy about retrieving the dip. The manager Scott also agreed it was too far for the employee to go in the back and retrieve.  The employees attitude and behavior was unacceptable.Big Y did refund my disgusting dinner however did not refund the sales tax. This is my second negative interaction with Big Y; the first time I chocked it up to establishments some times have off nights. The experience on July 3 proved to me there is an issue with the leadership within the store and modeling positive customer service behavior.

Very disappointed ...4 p.m. went to Big Y for Fish and chip dinners..stood in line for 10 minutes ...when I got to the counter to order I was told they dont cook until 6:45 pm.????? Whats with that! ?????

Easy to access the parking lot and theres always plenty of parking. The selection of groceries is very good. The beer and wine section is very convenient as well. My only complaint is that Big Y doesnt have any self-checkout lines like Stop n Shop does. They have 1 or 2 electric car charging spots.

I have always liked shopping at Big Y. Everyone is always friendly and happy to help. This may be because they are not forced to pay Union Dues and made to work part time so the company can avoid having to provide benefits.Its definitely a great place to get your groceries if youre in the area.

I love Big Y. Its clean--almost shines! The aisles are wide and uncluttered. The food is always fresh -- never out-of-date. Their produce is updated and freshend several times a day. Their organic offerings cover the spectrum. The managers go out of their way to be helpful. The customer service desk goes the extra mile to help. The cashiers remember you, and are always friendly and efficient. Just experience them. You will be happy I am sure!

Big Y Stores are beautiful, clean, bright and attractive, but their selections not the greatest, and their prices are way up on the very high end. The store chain is non-union and 100% American-owned.Their bakery, delicatessen, and meat department are all very high quality. Service is very good and store associates are pleasant and polite.The Big Y store brands are hit or miss, some being great, and many being pretty poor quality. Big Y albacore tuna is fantastic. Big Y bread... not so much. Big Y has a discount system that consists of a card and coins that you earn with purchases. The more you buy, the more you earn for discounts on more items. This doesnt really do much to offset their very high prices, overall. So, if youre on a budget, Id look for a store with lower prices (like Walmart, across the street), otherwise the store has an OK selection and is a very pleasant shopping experience.

Love this store! Everyone is so nice, baked goods and pizza are delicious. The butcher shop is great too, they will happily custom cut meats and offer delicious stuffed burgers and steak pinwheels.

Are used to love big Y until they started charging for plastic bags. Why would I pay for a plastic bag when I can go to Shaws or Stop & Shop and get it for free. Shaws is across the street

My 2 teens and I are regulars and will only shop here. Mark the grocery man is so friendly as well as a lady at the Service Desk. We rarely see managers which is odd to me, they should welcome back regulars they see and new people so they return. We will continue being your customer, see you Monday night.

It has a large selection of food and for almost every product there is a cheaper store brand. The customer service is excellent and the signs and branding are very well done. The best super market in-deed.

This is my favorite grocery store. Though the prices may be a bit higher the quality of food is great from the butcher shop to seafood to produce, always fresh. And the store is always so clean.

I go there for the fresh meat and fish. Just as good as a specialized meat market. Great selection of fresh meats. Had 3 options for fresh salmon, 2 fresh caught and 1 farm raised

My husband and I do our grocery shopping here every week. We drive past 3 grocery chain stores to go to this store 20+ minutes from us. They have high quality food at reasonable prices. The staff is also fantastically friendly. My only complaint at this location is that they do not train their baggers very well. We often have to rearrange our food at our car. But its a small issue for how much there is to love about this store.

Big y is great it is always so comfortable to shop in and find item. Little y with Miss Trish is our spot my kids have been going since you openned. Big thumbs up!!!

Prices on no store brand seemed a little high, 1st time there and will go again with my new Big Y card. Store looked clean, well managed fruit veggie section as well as meats looked better quality than other chain markets.

Newest grocery store in town. Has a Little Y where you can drop your kids off to be entertained while you get your shopping done, I was surprised how much my six year olds liked it. The fresh prepared food section smells great.

I was pretty disappointed with their organic fruit selection.The raspberries I purchased went moldy over night so I had to throw them out.The employees are great and the store is clean so thats a plus.I love that they provide EV charging, but people without electric cars park and take up the reserved EV spots. Big Y does nothing to prevent this.

Great selection of food and the people are exceptionally helpful. Little Y is great for the kids and weve never gotten anything but the freshest of food. Whether it is food or vegetables from the produce aisle or the in house aged meats it has always been great!

Get yourself a market basket bag. They also stopped carrying Polish beer. Boo! I will start shopping across the street at Shaws. They will give me free bags.

I’ve been in this store three times now and have not had one good experience here. The staff is rude and clearly don’t like their jobs. Would recommend new closers. Felt like I was being rushed out the door, I work all day and go to school at night. I was there before closing but when I went to leave I was rudely reminded that you “close at 10” and it was 10:11pm.
