I called Franklin Transmission for a quote on a new clutch for my Toyota Tacoma. Brian gave me a quote with and without a new flywheel. He was professional and courteous. He also told me how long the job would take. They actually finished the job a little early than expected. They also called me in a couple of days to make sure everything was “great”, which it was. After spending money at Another Local Transmission shop and waiting over 3 weeks and over $400 dollars later they still did not fix the problem! My wife and I brought our vehicle to Franklin Transmission And Auto Care and explained what was going on to Rich, they diagnosed problem In a day!! My experience with Franklin Transmission was nothing less than outstanding. They took my car in at last minute emergency prior to long trip and rebuilt the transmission in 2-1/2 days as they said. I highly recommend this team of professionals.

Overall I am quite pleased with the work this shop did. They are a Carmax repair place so I was referred to them through Carmax, which was a little inconvenient as they are far from where I live but thats fine. The only complaint I have is that they arent the best at communication. I had to call a few times to get updates on my car and I think by the end of the process we were both tired of talking to each other. BUT the work was great so I guess I cant be too upset. I would go back, but I would keep in mind that I would have to be proactive about getting them to work on my car in a timely manner.

I found the owner of this auto shop very professional, courteous and friendly. I had to wait a good deal of time for the work to be done on my car due to a back up caused by COVID-19 but when the work was finally done it turned out great. They did an awesome job on my brakes and air filter and oil filter. I highly recommend this facility for work that needs to be done on your car.

Second time bringing a car to Franklin transmission. First time was for a 2011 Honda Pilot that ended up needing a new transmission. The owner was very thorough, explaining the problem, getting it fixed quickly. I remembered how thorough they were in their explanation and felt very comfortable. When my F150 states having transmission issues I didn’t think twice and brought it to Franklin. Turned out only weed a few parts, they explained it to me, and had me back on the road in 3 days. All great. Highly reccomend.

Nice people. Good honest shop. Fast work. Thought I was going to have to replace some transmission parts on my Jeep and after a quick diagnosis it just turned out to be a little low on fluid. Courteous people. They listen to what you have to say and act on it. Did a great job in replacing my transmission. Then ask me to bring it back in a month just to give it the once over. They want to make sure your happy about the results. Plus 1 year and a half warrranty.

I brought my car in for a diagnostic once-over, all I knew was “it’s really loud”! Felt like I was in a safe place that wouldn’t rip me off just cause I didn’t know anything about cars. Courtney was more then helpful, got me right in, and had the work done. They even went as far as to check for other sources of the “noise” (there were a few contributing sources) and made sure all were repaired quickly and efficiently. I even have a little bit of a guarantee because I opted for the less-expensive “used” parts. It now runs great and is so quiet. Thank you to the entire team!

Cant talk about the service as they never took the car in for repairs even after 3 full days. Id give the benefit of doubt since its the week after Thanksgiving, but very unprofessional to not give your customer timely updates. Never going back again.

Had to have a leak in my transmission repaired. Earliest appointment I could get with the dealership was five weeks (Rodman Ford which I would never recommend). Received great service at Franklin Transmission who made the necessary repairs in a couple of days. The customer service was terrific.

I had the pleasure of corresponding with Cortney about my car journey. After breaking down on the side of the highway and experiencing three stressful tow truck transfers I was scheduled to have my car looked over at Franklin Transmission. She called me to confirm and gather some facts about my car and updated me every step of the way. As it turns out the needs of my car were covered by its factory warranty however Cortney went above and beyond for me by suggesting a specific dealership she trusted and actually made the arrangements for me over the phone herself. Being someone who does not know that much about cars I felt so much more informed as opposed to a more typical experience of being overwhelmed and confused. I had my trucks transmission replaced a year ago and the TCC ended up failing they took the truck in and replaced it with no hassle under their warranty. They even called me a month later to see if everything was working ok. I would definitely recommend them.

Brought my car to Boch Honda and they told me my transmission was shot and a new one would be $5500. I was recommended to Franklin Automatic Transmission by Charlies Auto. I recently had my transmission rebuilt on my lifted Silverado by Gary the tech at Franklin Auto Transmission. Billy (owner) provided extremely accurate quotes before the job began and always answered my phone calls when I needed an update. The job was delayed one day ONLY because these guys caught an issue before it left the shop. Gary also gave me an extremely detailed rundown on the services performed on my transmission. Not only was the service on point for price and time but the customer service was unparalleled in any shop experience I have had. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop for any transmission needs!

I will NEVER take my business here again. After needing a new axle and knowing Id need to pay 230$ I got a call when I was supposed to pick up my cat saying the cat would NOT be released until I paid 460$ for additional work that was done to my front right tire bearing that I did NOT authorize. After refusal to pay for illegal work done to my car, Caren, the owner, insisted on calling the cops. Waiting for arrival Caren was screaming racial slurs to me, insisting I was high off drugs to think she would release the car, and also cussing me out. The cops had arrived and the dispute was settled. They knew she was wrong, a LIAR and just trying to make a quick buck. In short, I paid 215$ for both the axle and the tire bearing or else Caren would have had a lawsuit on her hands. The lovely cops of Franklin even went out of their way to recommend Pat Ridgeway, a mechanic who wouldnt try and screw me over. Word of mouth goes fast in a small town and I will never ever bring my business here AGAIN. Unprofessional, racist (mind you she insisted I was Spanish yet Im European French) and down right illegal place. Do not take advantage of anyones time, money or vehicle. End of story.

The transmission on my 2006 Volvo XC70 had been shifting quite hard for a long while. I had been to several other mechanics, including the dealership in Wellesly. They had all identified *problems* that we paid them to *fix*, but none of it fixed the actual problem. The guys at Franklin Automatic Transmission had it diagnosed on the first try, and fixed within 2 days, and it only took that long because they had to order a part. Problem SOLVED. Its like a brand new car. The level of expertise is only matched by the level of customer service, friendly and fair prices. I really cant recommend this business strongly enough, and if you dont live near Franklin, its probably even worth the drive to get there.

New owners are rude will throw parts at ur car to make money....told us our transmission was gone then estamated repair at 3500 we paid them they (Well supposedly) fixed it we drove it off lot n truck wont shift. Said now its something else probably was never our tranny....now says 1200 more to fix it sounds like a scam to me!!!! Customers beware!!!!

Usually they are not open on Saturdays, but they were able to get their mechanic to come in. They completed the job in 2 hours andI was back in business.

I cant speak more highly of Franklin transmission. After Mass Diesel butchered my Duramax, I brought it to Franklin Transmission, I highly reccomend them to anybody that needs serious work done on any car or truck. Not only are they single handedly the best mechanics Ive ever met, theyll call you every step of the way. Ive never appreciated a mechanic as much as I do Franklin Transmission, seriously.

Dropped my car off on a Monday to have a throwout bearing replaced kept calling on when it would be looked at kept on being ignored so I went there friday to pic up my car come to find out it hasnt been touched or had any parts ordered. Seems like someone decided to take my car for a few joy rides insted looking at the added miles on my car. Bad experence with these people. I dont recomend them to anyone save time and go elsewhere let someone whos run a business before work on your car.
