Really excellent auto dealership. Personal one on one customer service with no pressure. They make you feel welcome! Their business model facilitates a smooth and easy no hassle process. Tristan stayed in touch throughout the process from my first inquiry and really helped me find the right auto for me. 5 stars plus!
Nelson Mazda knows how to treat the car customer. What a fabulous experience. They let me think on my new Mazda 6 overnight and come back with my trade-in pricing. I really appreciated that. Also, Tristen is an impeccable car sales consultant. He is professional and really helps you purchase the car right for you. What a great place. I would recommend others to this car dealership. Thank you.
Matthew Sand kept working hard for me when the first three vehicles I was interested in were selling out from underneath me. His professionalism was excellent. The whole experience was calming and not hurried or rushed. Very professional atmosphere for sure. I was truly impressed and so glad I chose Mazda.
The experience was so fun and positive, communication was clear and concise, and working with Cameron was truly awesome. This is a second purchase from Nelson Mazda for our family and we would return for future purchases without hesitation. Love the product, the service team, and working with the exceptional sales staff such as Cameron was so appreciated.
We had the pleasure recently of doing business at Nelson Mazda to purchase our teenage daughter’s first car. We wanted an excellent value because she had worked hard to earn half of the money on her own. The used Mazda CX-7 we chose was accurately priced, well within Kelley Blue Book parameters, not inflated due to shortages, as we had seen many other places. Ian Connor was thoughtful and helpful throughout the process. We appreciated his direct manner and really saw evidence of the care and character behind this business.
Davey Herbig was very attentive and patient. I knew I was looking to lease a hard to find car and he went above and beyond to get it sorted out for me.
I had a great experience getting my first car at Nelson Mazda! They were quick and were amazing to work with.10/10 would recommend.
When I purchased the car, the sales person kept in touch well and checked in consistently even after purchase. However, the service center has been impossible to reach by phone. I went in to the dealership while I was in town and was turned away and told that I could make a service appointment for over a week away. I made the appointment, but unfortunately needed to cancel due to a family emergency. They asked me for dates and times that worked to reschedule via text, I sent them, and they never responded. I, then, proceeded to call them to make an appointment and I have yet to get through to anyone.I have used the chat function online, and no response. Going in to the dealership is completely inconvenient and out of the way for me to get turned away and have to come back 2 weeks later.
Bria is great! She is patient and knowledgeable. Just hope The website can be updated on time to show the real inventory.
I have never left a negative review of a place before until now.I had to get a new key fob for my car since mine wasn’t working and made an appointment to do so at the service center of this dealership. When I made the appointment, I was never told that I needed to bring the spare. After arriving at my appointment and waiting almost 45 minutes, I was suddenly told they needed the spare fob. I live 25 minutes away from this dealer location and had to drive all the way back to get the spare and then 25 minutes back to the dealer. I expressed my frustration of not being told about bringing the spare key fob in the first place and how I had to now drive all the way back and the people who were working had absolutely no care in the world. They didn’t even respond to me when I was speaking to them about my frustration. After coming back with the spare and finally getting it fixed, I suggested to the person who helped me, Christian Hardin, that for future reference and to avoid this problem that they should tell customers about bringing the spare key fob beforehand (I said this very calmly and politely). Before I even finished my sentence, he said “Okay, thank you.” and just walked away. Mr. Hardin didn’t even let me finish what I was saying which was a clear indication that he did not care one bit about me or this issue. I never received a simple apology or that anyone understood my frustration. Overall, terrible customer service and just a simple lack of basic manners. I hope that this can be avoided for anyone who goes there in the future and that they have a better experience than I did.
I didnt feel pressured during the sale and Tristan answered all of my questions clearly and was patient with my technology questions. I appreciated that he went to Murfreesboro to get the vehicle I wanted. When I first viewed the vehicle, I sensed that someone had smoked in the car. Tristan had the vehicle detailed again and it was obvious that it had been cleaned because the lingering smell was gone. I believe that the 2019 Mazda3 was a good value and it will meet my needs better than the vehicle I traded. I already feel safer on the road because of the new safety features such as the lane change warning and the repositioned dials. Adjustable lumbar support is a game changer when you have a bad back!
I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this dealership’s service department (as well as with the rest of the staff). The entire team is friendly, professional and thorough. The manager, Pete, should teach a class on how to manage a dealership. He does an amazing job and has a great attitude. I cannot recommend the service department at Nelson Mazda enough! A+
All questions were resolved quickly; no pressure. I wasnt planning to buy a car on Tuesday but the salesperson - Cameron I think - grew on me during the test drive. I knew I would be replacing my 16 Mazda6 GT with a Mazda CX-5 GT; I just had planned to wait until the chip shortage was over so prices might come back down. Since I was trading in a car, though, I guess that made things reasonable. I prefer to buy a vehicle from a dealership that I like & would use for service, rather than worry much about price haggling.
Your staff are always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and keep you informed each step of the way during the service process. They are very thorough and happy to answer any questions. Most importantly, they keep my Mazda CX-5 running at optimum performance! Thank you!
Had a fantastic buying experience from Nelson Mazda. Davey was extremely personable, and made me feel at home during the buying experience. They gave me great trade in value, and sold the car to me for a good price. My buying experience was so good that I wont take a star off for this, but I did notice that my oil was overfilled on my Lexus after I bought it. That can cause serious problems for the engine so Id make sure that the technicians are more aware of the precise oil amount to put into the used cars. Other than that, it was a perfect buying experience.
Oil change 8/16 and they got a few finger prints of engine grease on my tan leather seat and the tan glove box. Maybe take your dirty gloves off before you touch the pristine interior of my car. The old saying goes: you want something done right, do it yourself…
I went in wanting a specific vehicle, and Cameron was a perfect associate. Patient, helpful, and friendly. He made the purchase easy and was kind and welcoming. No pressure to buy, and made good recommendations on add-ons. Thanks to Cameron and Nelson Mazda Cool Springs!
Edited to add: We have now spoken to James Dixon at Nelson Mazda. James offered a sincere apology and outlined steps that he intended to implement to ensure that a similar experience did not recur at their dealership. We respect a business that is willing to take ownership of mistakes and take steps to remedy them. Though we have now purchased a car elsewhere and do not plan to be in the market for another soon, we would consider shopping at Nelson Mazda in the future.Extremely disappointed with our experience at Nelson Mazda Cool Springs this morning. This was our first visit to Nelson Mazda, and we were initially excited about the low-pressure sales tactics and salaried staff. Ian Conner showed us the 2013 Mazda3 priced at $7399 that we had seen online and allowed us to test drive it twice before we decided to purchase it.We had already signed the Carfax report when things began to seem fishy. We had noted on the Carfax that the car had been at Nelson Mazda for almost a month, and while the car was being detailed, Ian informed us that they were waiting on a transmission control module unit for the car that was on back order. We would not be able to take the car home, as driving it might cause damage to the transmission, but we were welcome to put a $1000 deposit on the vehicle and could come finish paying the car off and pick it up once they had received the part and installed it. They did not have an estimate on when the part might arrive, but Ian was hopeful it might be in the next week or so. It was unclear to me what might happen if we put the deposit down and the part didnt arrive within the next few weeks, and Ian seemed reluctant to answer direct questions about this process or when the part had actually been ordered for the car. We had by then spent more than 90 minutes at Nelson Mazda and left feeling taken advantage of. Its unclear to me why this car would have even been shown if it could not be sold, let alone why we were allowed to get so far into the purchase process without having been told of the issue? We will not be back.
Sales Rep. Cameron was awesome. He answered all my questions and made my purchase easy. I would 100% recommend Cameron and Nelson Mazda to any of my friends and family looking to purchase a vehicle.
I had a great car buying experience at Nelson Mazda Cool Springs Dealership in Franklin, Tn. Staff were all awesome with no pressure to buy, terrific customer service and professionalism. Worth the drive time to check them out if you dont live in/around the Nashville area. Glad I did.
Your Response:Everyone was very kind and took care of my car in a timely manner. I am sure I could find a place to service my car closer to home, but I dont mind making the drive because you all took Great care of my car. Thank you, for all you do.
Bria was most helpful and kind. The buying experience was quite easy. I love the SUV I purchased. The price was well below other sellers, without sacrificing what I wanted in my vehicle.
No pressure; answered all my questions and didnt push extra stuff or a different car. Just what I wanted. It was a very pleasant experience - much better than a similar experience at a different dealer just last August.
Bad experience. Bought a used car there 6 months ago, within the first week, multiple issues occurred with the car. The salesman was great, but the management behind him are lacking. I was told, thats why we encourage people to buy a warranty. After fixing everything out of pocket, 2 months later the manager finally called me to ask what he could do, i said nothing since i had to fix it all myself. He said, great, and hung up.
Ive often thought about writing a review, but I figured while Im on hold with them now, might as well.Good: I liked the car buying experience. Straightforward, no haggle, price you see is price you pay. Though, I wish you could negotiate the price of add on products such as GAP. I also liked eContracting. We came and looked, we left, we texted saying we wanted it, and we came back and spent ~1 hour buying since we did the credit application and whatever else online prior to coming back.I also like the video walk throughs during service. Theyre detailed yet concise, and feel its a good value add. They also never seem too terribly busy. I was waited on promptly at 8am on a Saturday. Ive seen other dealerships lined up to the road at this time.Bad: Calling there make you feel like a hot potato. Music, voices, music, ringing. I press one for service, but then therere more questions. Theres a lot of waiting on hold and pressing numbers. Everything else here seems to be pretty efficient, so maybe this process will be next. As Im writing this review Ive been disconnected without speaking to any live person. On the third try I got the option to leave a voicemail or dial another extension. It really shouldnt be this hard to make a service appointment. This isnt the only time this has happened, and has finally got me frustrated enough to write a review.I give credit where credits due. If their phone system is my only issue, 4 stars is justified.
Sales assistant was very helpful and answered all questions - five starts would be awarded to him, but detailing on the car was not done thoroughly.
Chris Evelsizer made the car buying experience as honest, easy, and straight forward as I could have ever asked. He provided honest feedback, did not hold off on speaking openly about things he liked and did not like. He never tried to up-sell me on anything that I did not need. He was just a good guy trying to help someone else make the right choice in their next car. What more could I ask for?
It was a pleasure to use your dealership to buy this car. I was especially impressed with the fact that your associates worked together as a team instead of being handed off to a single sales person as has been my experience in the past. I originally wanted to buy this car at one of the Memphis dealerships, since that is where I live. I test drove the one I wanted in Memphis and was ready to purchase it when I was informed that it was already sold and the salesperson had forgotten to pull the keys. The vehicle they had already sold was still in listed on their website after I left.I looked for other dealerships and found yours in Nashville. I emailed James Dixon on Thursday regarding the vehicle I saw in on your website and had an immediate response from James and Angie letting me know it was in inventory. I told them I wanted to see the vehicle but couldnt make it to Nashville until Saturday. They pulled the keys and kept me informed of everything they were doing. I filled out a financial application on your website and was contacted very quickly by Angie letting me know I was approved. Jacob emailed me to let me know to ask for him when I arrived at the dealership. You were extremely busy Saturday but I was immediately greeted and was able to test drive the vehicle, get the value I wanted for the trade in and purchase the vehicle.I was impressed by your website. The Mazda dealerships in the Memphis area do not have their management and sales staff listed, along with their emails. I liked the fact that I could reach out directly to James to make sure the vehicle was indeed in inventory.I also liked the fact that no one used hard sell tactics and that your price listed on the website was the price of the vehicle.Mazda Corporate should use how your dealership operates as a blueprint for other Mazda dealerships.
I worked all day on getting my suv detailed for trade in. Spoke with Tristen in the morning and throughout the day on having an appraisal done on my current vehicle, cash down and financing in place with their office. Had an appt to come in the next day to finalize paperwork and they called me and said that the Jeep was sold. Unprofessional and manager needs to teach respect and loyalty to their customers. I also, felt that the Jeep had inquiries on it and the sales rep called others to let them know that there was interest. Thats why it sold 30 min prior to closing. 50 days on the car lot and sold immediately. Hummmm!
I came in with very small hopes of leaving with a car, as a first time buyer I did not know what to expect! Thankfully I was able to work with Kylie who was not only so sweet and thoughtful but she gave me the best experience and worked so hard to get me a great deal! She was so patient and explained everything so well! She did everything in her hands to make sure I left with a car today! So in love with my Grand Cherokee 🚙😀
I was really impressed with the attention and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was wearing a mask and that made us feel more comfortable during these uncertain times. We worked with DJ and while we are still undecided on what car to purchase, I was impressed with the overall customer experience Mazda had to offer.. especially since we have been test driving other cars in the area and found some surrounding dealerships less hospitable and conscientious.
Had a great experience buying a new car here. No hype, no pressure, worked only with one person who walked us through everything. The product is superior, the prices were competitive, the warranty was the best. Nelson is doing it right and Adam was great to work with. Thanks.
Excellent service and a handy video inspection feature that sends you a video of every point of their inspection, what they found, and why they might recommend additional service to the vehicle.
Very good sales experience with my 2021 CX-9. Market based pricing doesn’t always work out as the best deal. In my case, with very good value for my trade-in (a truck), it was. My sales rep, David, was considerate and thorough. In fact, I’ve bought many new vehicles in the last five years (from Lexus, RAM, Nissan, Toyota, GMC, and BMW). No salesperson has done as good of a job being sure I knew all of the features (from the inside to the outside to the app) as David… and I’ve been fortunate to have some truly outstanding sales reps.
Comfortable waiting areas, both inside and out. Exceptional service managers who listen and answer questions. I really trust your service department and enjoy coming out there!
Took my car in to have the infotainment system replaced at no charge. They told me I need $2200 worth of work including a brake job; new tires (mine are less than two years old and I drive less than $10,000 miles per year); a new engine air filter ( I just had my oil changed and was told its fine). And they wanted $60 to change the cabin air filter. The f ilter costs $5 on Amazon. I should know because I always change it myself. What a joke. I was even thinking about trading up my current Mazda but I wont be doing it there.
I have been having my car serviced here since 2013. They are always very professional, prompt and thorough. I also love the video that the technician sends during your service so you see what they are checking and fixing. Highly recommend.
I bought my first new car with the help of Ty! He was so helpful and very awesome to work with. It was a scary new experience for me, and he made it so much easier than I thought it would be. He made sure I got everything I needed and treated us like family. Two weeks later and I’m still super happy and super grateful!!
Jake Singelmann did an amazing job. The one person from start to finish is a great policy. It was a no drama, no pressure, easy process from walk in to drive away.
My husband and I (being long time Mazda owners) purchased a 2021 Mazda CX-9 with DJ Goodman at Nelson Mazda of Cool Springs. While the process was a bit lengthy, we really appreciated the customer experience we had with the team at Nelson. DJ and team did a good job listening to our needs and working with us to find the best option for everyone. A big thanks to DJ for his thoughtful and dedicated approach to getting us in our new car that we are excited to take many road trips in for years to come!
This dealership is hands down one of the better dealerships in this area and Ive been to multiple. Their service is unmatched and is very apt to do what they can to help in any given situation. Not only that, their system allows you to be in constant communication with them through the entire process of having your car serviced and/or fixed through text message! Truly outstanding job yall, obviously ill be back!
If you dread dealing with dealers try Nelson Mazda. The experience was easy and quick. I dealt primarily with one person rather than being passed back and forth. They have a no-haggle price and based on my research the price they offer is a fair one up front. Their salespeople are patient and kind and its clearly a car business with integrity. I didnt realize there was such a place! I had a great buying experience.
Tanner went above and beyond my expectations. He was very professional and very patient. He even went and got a tape measure because I was concerned about the cargo space! He answered every question, sent two personal videos, and encouraged me to actually go and test drive the other car I was considering so I could be sure of my decision. He was never pushy but was always present. Your business model is perfect. And its executed exquisitely by your staff. Thank you for a beautiful experience!
I purchased my CX-3 from Nelson Mazda and always take my car there for service. I have never been disappointed with the service dept. They are very quick and do a really good job. The car wash after service is a nice extra service at no charge.
Jake was great to work with and even during a very busy day for him he kept us informed about what was happening, he answered all our questions knowledgeably and clearly and made the whole experience as stress free as is possible.
This is one of the best places to buy a car!! new or used.
I have purchased my last 2 vehicles from Nelson Mazda, and they have been exceptional in helping me find the vehicle I wanted each time.
The service Advisor Devin and Mazda Parts associate were a big help. Excellent customer service, They have a very clean and neat dealership as well as refreshments for the customers. They were even kind enough to lend me a Brand New 2020 CX30 in soul red with all the bells and whistles while my car was getting work done. Would highly recommend this dealer in specific!! Cant wait to buy my next Mazda. Also the MyMazda App as excellent discounts and is very convenient to schedule service for my Mazdas.
We highly recommend Nelson Mazda. We had our best car buying experience there, to date. A true no haggle price. Our sales person Chris was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient with all our questions, accommodating, honest, courteous, professional, and friendly. This is what we call REAL customer service! Thank you Nelson Mazda! And we especially, thank you Chris!!
I go here for routine maintenance on my 2016 Mazda. The team members make sure to contact me with reminders to keep up routine maintenance, but are never pushy about it. They are honest about what my car needs, and have never tried to talk me into unnecessary services. Every other place I’ve been to in the Nashville area has treated me like a dumb blonde, but the staff here make me feel welcome and keep me informed on the progress of my visits. I live in West Nashville and the drive to Franklin is well worth it.
I normally never review, good or bad. But flat out ridiculous I must. I purchased my CX-5 new from this location. Great experience. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same regarding the service department. Had a recall on the daytime running lamps so I took took it in, they replaced one. 1.5 years later several dozen follow ups and still trying to get the other one fixed. The radio cuts on and off continuously. I take it in, they do an update, it is still doing it with no suggestions leaving the dealership. Bottom line, I drive a 36k vehicle with a recalled running light I can’t get replaced and I’m unable to listen to the radio, Bluetooth, or navigation. Fed up.
Upon requesting information, I received a phone call and video message from Tanner, which was a great personal touch (and probably helped me decide to keep the appointment when the weather was colder than I expected Saturday). While I ended up not being able to work with Tanner because he was with another customer, Ty absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. He was friendly and patient and I didn’t feel like he was trying to make me buy the most expensive vehicle on the lot as he instead focused on understanding my needs as a customer. He did a nice job of explaining the car’s features while also being friendly and engaging. He truly helped me find the best value that was the perfect mix of features for me while also allowing me to drive another option to be totally sure with my decision. The process was efficient and fun. I felt like I’d spent the morning with a friend who helped me pick out a really awesome car.
Gerald was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Wish I could give him more stars!!
Everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful. They informed me of issues that were beyond the service I came in for and they educated me on what should be done immediately and what could wait. I never felt pressured to do anything. Having my CX-5 serviced at Nelson Mazda is always a pleasant experience.
I finally made the switch to Mazda and couldn’t be more happy!! Chaz was great while test driving. VJ was great too working with the finance part of the car. I appreciated the friendliness of the associates and felt like I could trust them which is important when making a large purchase. I bought the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Sport and upgraded to Apple car play. I love it and it’s so much fun to drive!
Ethan Landreth was fantastic! I had visited several dealerships and Nelson was by far the best experience Ive had! If youre in the market for a new car, definitely give Nelson a visit!
I can only speak to my experience with the service department, but they were very helpful when I took my vehicle in today. They send a video of them performing the inspection while you’re in the waiting area, which I found insightful. Today they had an issue with their system and they performed repairs on something I had told them not to repair, and did not charge me for the error. They saved me hundreds of dollars by being honest people, which is under appreciated in the realm auto repair. I will definitely be returning for any future maintenance I may need.
I had a great experience here! Tanner was my single point of contact during all of my interactions with Nelson Mazda and provided excellent service that exceeded my expectations. He was never pushy and allowed me to move at my own pace. Even though the car I purchases was used, it seemed like a new car to me. They took care of every detail. I would highly recommend them.
Just bought my second car from Nelson in less than a year. The buying experience was good on both purchases, but this is a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT for anyone buying a vehicle from Nelson. Both my cars had tire pressures above the maximum inflation rating. The last one was over 60 psig. Clearly the cars are not having their tires aired down from the high pressures used to prevent flat spotting during shipment. It is not safe to drive with pressures that high, traction is compromised, and worst case, a tire can fail at speed from over pressure.I suggest that if you are test driving a vehicle ask to have the tire pressures checked first.
I dont ever leave reviews but this one made me very upset. Was in contact with their sales rep, Chris, about a used 2002 Mazda miata. We exchanged emails and then didnt hear from him for 3 days, until yesterday. I filled out an online purchase application and credit check, sent him all the info and photos of my car that would be traded in thinking that were moving on purchasing the car. This morning I got a notification that the car was sold. Not once did he ask for a deposit on the car. He even said yesterday that its being serviced by their team and not available for purchase until theyre done servicing it. Horrible experience and probably will never try and get a car from them again.
Pete, Devin, Ryan and the whole service team were outstanding! It was so easy to review the recommended services and decide what was needed (all on my phone) based on the detailed inspection video sent to me by the technician while he was inspecting my car! So cool! I felt like I understood what repairs were needed and in turn, knew I was making an informed decision about the safety and maintenance of my vehicle! I highly recommend Nelson Mazda and will return the next time I need service!
NO ETHICSTwo weeks ago, we drove an hour to look at a 20,000 used vehicle. Our experience at the dealership was absolutely horrible, ending in us leaving the dealership but actually wanting to purchase the vehicle. We had asked for a small allowance on a couple of defects but were told no negotiation was possible. After leaving, our calls and emails to management were ignored.Last night (2 weeks later) I found the same vehicle advertised at the same dealer for the price I had originally asked for it to be discounted to. I immediately contacted the sales manager, Ashley, and told her I had driven the car and would like to purchase it. I told her I would make whatever deposit she required and would pick the car up Friday (3 days). I also informed her I would be paying cash.I called the next morning, provided my drivers license etc, and was told they would provide me with the final price and deposit information. After a couple of hours and not hearing anything, I called back and was assured by the salesman, DJ, he was just waiting on the paperwork and he would definitely get back to me by the end of the day.The end of the day came and DJ called to tell me someone else had put a deposit on the car and if it didn’t go through I could have the vehicle.Absolutely NO ethics or integrity. AVOID THIS DEALER LIKE THE PLAGUE.Given our experience, I find it very hard to believe Nelson’s mission statement isn’t just another marketing ploy. Companies that claim to be Christian and don’t put those values into practice will surely get their just rewards.
My wife and I had an amazing first car buying experience with this team. We felt extremely comfortable with Darrell and the rest of the staff and we love our Mazda CX-5. We are from out of town but would come back to this location if we were ever in the market again.
Kylie went above & beyond. Really tried to help me get the best deal. Super happy with the outcome. Thank you!
Just bought a car there this morning this is the second vehicle Ive purchased from Nelson Mazda in the last two years. Everybody I worked with have been warm welcoming hospitable and informative. They have been expeditious polite and eager to serve and help through all of the paperwork and transaction details. It was quite painless and with their pricing model similar to CarMax and carvana Nelson Mazda makes buying easy and is a local businesses. Shout out to Chris and Gerald for their great work.
Impossible to get a hold of anybody on the phone… Called three times today and was on hold for 45+ minutes each time even though I was “caller #1 or #2 in the queue” every time. I would just like a simple estimate on a repair. Taking my business elsewhere instead of wasting any more of my time trying to get a hold of this dealership.
Love the dealership and its associates, been dealing with them since they were located in the Antioch location have always done right by me fast service, reliable vehicles and great finance managers.
They really go above and beyond for the customer. Easy and transparent negotiation. Test drive is done by the driver alone and advisors are never pushy! (Way better experience than our last purchase at Chevrolet without a doubt)
Everyone we dealt with were professional and courteous. Easiest car buying experience we ever had. Darrell Haskins was knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. He and Angie made us feel like part of the family. We will continue to do business with Nelson at Cool Springs and will refer our friends and family members to you. You have a stellar team! A+++++++
Tanner Hostetter was awesome. He is a very knowledgeable, professional young man. I really like the one price policy! I will recommend Nelson to my friends and relatives!
Jake did a fantastic job laying out the price, walking me through paperwork, and convincing me that the Toyota Corolla was the right car for me. I had a great experience and I look forward to coming back soon for any maintenance needs!
They were extremely responsive to my social distancing needs. I test drove four vehicles and Chris was extremely patient. Their financing was effortless and I received a rate better than my credit union. They gave me more for my trade than other dealerships. I highly recommend.
This is the best car buying experience that I’ve every had. I felt they were honest and no smoke and mirrors treatment! Relaxed Christian atmosphere.
We just had one of the best car-buying experiences weve ever had by purchasing a car through Nelson Mazda. James (GM) and Luke and Tanner in sales were professional, friendly and super accommodating when I needed to test drive every single option on the lot before making my decision. We got a great car at a great price and had a wonderful experience overall.
Friendly, down home Tennessee style service. Its actually a pleasure to wait for vehicle to be serviced in the clean and amenity filled waiting area. They offered me a trade in value for my vehicle that was wonderful and now I have a lovely new Mazda! Highly recommend this dealership. I should know because I am willing to drive over an hour to get here.
The video inspection, all the people I encountered, and the work and timeline. I wish that I lived in this area, as I would absolutely use you all every time. I live in Kansas. Thanks for all the great work and customer service
I enjoyed my car shopping and buying experience at Nelson Mazda. VJ (salesperson) never pressured me and when I came back after 6 months we picked up right where we left off. I felt that VJ was on my side and understood my situation and what I was looking for. Overall experience was very positive and I definitely felt my experience reflected Mazda’s straightforward, no-pressure approach to buying & selling cars.
Great Visit. Devin met me at the door ready to go. They replaced my upper windshield trim and fixed a rattle from a oil change done by a third party. I’ll be coming back to Nelson for the next oil change. Nelson’s attention to detail was refreshing. My tech Ryan Krieg was extremely thorough and was genuinely intent on providing excellent customer service. They also did a system update on their own! Oh and did I mention it was covered under Mazda’s bumper to bumper warranty. Those little MX5’s really are bulletproof! Great job fellows!
I’m new to Nelson Mazda and owning a CX-5. I’ve only been in for my first maintenance visit so far. I was very pleased with their thoroughness and they were very informative. Look forward to returning in the future and love the CX-5 I bought from them.
I had a great experience with Nelson Mazda when I leased my vehicle, but when I attempted to buy out my lease it was a different story. Email correspondence about it was slow. I tried calling in to make an appointment and had to call three times to have someone actually call me back. Once I actually made an appointment and arrived on time, I sat there for a good 30 minutes before the person I was there to meet with came out to speak with me. The entire in-dealership experience took slightly over 3 hours to complete. Granted, they had to contact the bank for financing while I was there, but three hours seems pretty excessive. All-in-all I am happy with my vehicle, but I got the distinct impression it was purposefully being made difficult to buy my vehicle instead of returning the vehicle and leasing another one. Not a pleasant overall experience.
First part of this review is for the sales department. Second part is for the service department.Sales DeptI bought my CX-5 here as well. The sales rep that helped me is no longer there but he made the sales manager mad because he apparently said I kept asking for additional reduction on cost. I hadn’t, I was only asking for pricing on roof rack and all weather floor mats. He also didn’t know the specs of the car - engine and hp, mpg, etc. I knew more than he did. My advice is to make sure you get a knowledgeable sales rep to ensure he tells you good info and doesn’t sour things with the sales manager.Service DeptService is average here. If you get standard service done here, they are fine. They have a nice area to wait in their renovated dealership. A good thing they do is let you have a loner car if service will take a while and you need to get somewhere.Over the past 4 years that I’ve been taking my Mazda here, it seems that they have become more and more corporate and more focused on making additional money off of you each service visit. The additional repair recommendations are now constant. To add to that, their repair recommendations are not consistent and often not coherent with the actual needs of the car.Example: I was told 3 services ago that my front brakes needed done. I didn’t do it then because I didn’t have the money. When I took the car in for the last 2 services in a row, they said the front brakes look great.Another example: I was told by one rep that oil was leaking out of the top of my engine and they needed to change a part costing hundreds. I said no at that time. Upon my next service visit, I asked that the mechanic check the top of the engine for leaks, he said there were none and it looked good.Either the mechanics are hit or miss or the service reps are hit or miss. Either way, you should not do everything suggested unless it is in the standard service Mazda recommends for the vehicle. Unfortunately, that leaves you in a guessing game as to whether you really need to do some of the additional repairs they suggest.
The efficiency of time and courtesy was exceptional. Really appreciate the video that was sent to show what had been done with the car. Extremely satisfied with my follow up appointment. Thank you!
Dont come here expecting to haggle. With that out of the way, this was the best dealer experience Ive ever had. They offer the best price right off the bat with no haggling and less than MSRP. No hidden fees or pushy salespeople trying to up-sell you. I highly recommend coming here if you have had a bad dealer experience in the past.Ask for Nick Wolff and he will take good care of you. He even gave me his personal phone number and made sure I could ask any questions I could think of and he answered all of them. Thank you Nick and Nelson Mazda for making buying a new car hassle free and stress free!
Very weak sales team (incl.Adam). Not able to interest and sell a car. The price of the car in dealership is higher than on the website... no any discount or special prices. The price as it is... Probably that Nelson Mazda has monopoly position in Nashvile area, that is why are not interested to sale. Recomended to go to Chatanooga or Atlanta for best prices and best attention.Update on May 20: finally we bought the vehicle in Nelson Murfreesboro for the same vehicle with price 1,5 K lower than Nelson Brentwood and thanks to the managers of Nelson Murfreesboro for the fast and good deal.
Kylie is great ! Great communications, very caring for customers, providing great value service and attention to detail, are much more effective than advertising. I would highly recommend Kylie and the dealership !
I have had multiple thousands of dollars repairs done at this location. This last one did not resolve the issue 100%. I am still within the warranty period of the work done. I contacted them for assistance and they would not call me back. I have requested to speak with Leaders at multiple levels at the location but I can’t even get a call back? Not sure if this is because I am a person of color or some other reason? I have been a loyal customer for the life of my Mazda Vehicle and the Mazda I had prior to this one. I have spent a significant amount of money with them. I can’t even get a simple call back?
Loved the experience from start to finish! No pressure and they listened to my needs and worked hard to deliver them.
I love the uplifting atmosphere. Every team member looks happy to be there and happy to help everyone. Jacob Singelmann and Angie Yehudah stayed very late to help me make a purchase and were very happy to do it. This is my 3rd Mazda that I have bought and I will continue to do service with Mazda. I cannot say enough great things about Nelson Mazda Cool Springs and its employees.
Fast, efficient, friendly. The video of the inspection was really helpful
Purchased a used vehicle for my 16 year old daughter. Jacob in sales took great care of us, even staying an hour after close due to our work schedule. We had a couple of mechanical concerns within the first few weeks and Jeff in service took care of all of them, no questions asked and at no cost to us. Truly a great experience! We’ll be back for sure!
Beware of disingenuous offers. I was told I would receive $17,500 for my vehicle pending inspection. I requested that they not waste my time if they weren’t serious, as I had other offers close to this, and it was an hour drive to their location. After arriving they inspected the vehicle and could not get the sunroof tilt to work. The buyer spoke with the manager and they reduced the offer to $15,500. I reset the safety feature on the sunroof in 30seconds and fixed the problem. The rear sunscreen would go up but got stuck on the way down. This was apparently another $2000 deduction (since I had fixed the first “problem” that had magically appeared). I solved this issue when I returned home with one spray of WD-40.$2000 deductions for anything they can find or “magically” happens while they are doing their inspection. All I asked was that they not waste my time, but that’s all they accomplished.
My wife and I bought a 2008 Ford F150 in 6/15/17. The salesman helped us pick a truck that was good. They were honest about the crack in the windshield, but we took their word for it that the engine had no problems. 30 days after we bought it, I had to replace a melted spark plug. The truck runs fine now, but make sure you take it to your mechanic before you buy. Lesson learned.
I had such a fantastic experience buying my Mazda 6 from Nelson Mazda Cool Springs. The staff is so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make your buying experience quick and easy. Thanks to Phil, I was able to drive away that day in my new (used car) wih a big smile on my face. I would recommend anyone to go see Phil and the rest of the staff for your car buying needs and you won’t be disappointed. With such excellent customer service and knowledge of the high quality vehicles they are selling You can’t go wrong.
Brought my car in for service and had a great experience. They sent me a detailed video and estimate and finished working on my car so quickly! Taking my car in is always a gamble because a lot of places treat women differently, but I did not experience that here at all. Thanks Jeff for patiently answering all my questions, even when I had to hang up and call my dad. (: Appreciate it!!
I appreciate the video of my vehicle being serviced. Service writer and Technician were professional, courteous, and helpful. Thank you all for your service. Owning a Mazda has been an exceptional experience so far, from sales to service.
The entire team went above and beyond with their customer service. We felt extremely comfortable with Jacob and he did an exceptional job helping to meet our needs and keeping us informed. Best vehicle purchasing process ever!
Dj was amazing! I will buy all my cars from him from now on! He is truly a valuable asset to your team!
I drove down from Goodlettsville to see a vehicle their website claims is for sale. Once I got there I was told the vehicle was unavailable due to some kind of inspection and that I would be unable to see it. This place wasted a morning of my time.
Saw a car i was interested in on the website, submitted a request for more information and never heard back. Started an online chat to see about the cars availability, was told a salesman would contact me, never heard back. Called the dealership, asked if the car was available, was told it was. Tried to set up a time to test drive, guy told me he was leaving for the day but they were open until 7. Drove almost 2 hours and when I arrived was told someone else had put a deposit on it. Putting a deposit down was not offered to me and I was given no help whatsoever. This dealership is an absolute joke. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. Would give zero stars if possible.
Nelson Mazda is quite literally phenomenal in everything from service to sales. Twice in 6 years you have gone above and beyond for me when the reason I needed another vehicle was beyond my control. Devin went on the hunt for a discontinued part. He even got the diagnostic fee waived knowing I was facing a more expensive issue than I’d planned for that day. Chaz was so friendly and encouraging and caring every single moment, always checking on me and assisting Darrell. Darrell worked after close trying to find a car for me. He spent so much of the day getting to know me beyond the vehicle situation. And then a couple days later when I had a medical procedure, knowing I was stressed, Darrell sent a text with a video message to let me know there were people in my corner. Andrew spent an entire day and well after hours texting me and checking with multiple banks on different vehicles, determined to find a solution. And he did! I was really bummed to be parting with my 2013 Mazda 6, but beyond floored over the 2017 Ford Escape that he was able to get me approved for. The payment is higher, but Andrew was respectful of my financial parameters and at no point did he or Darrell make me feel pressured. In the meantime, Devin found a used part, and unfortunately even with the amount he was going to try to take off the overall price, it was still out of my budget. Financing another vehicle was the correct way to go. I truly thank the Lord for working through everyone at Nelson Mazda! Again! I used to work for the Fish and Doug Griffin had recommended I try you guys back in 2015 when my newly paid off car was going to be way too expensive to repair. BOTH experiences, but especially this one, has made me a Mazda fan and a Nelson Mazda customer for life! Thank you all SO much for truly taking care of me. I’m grateful to be in a safe and reliable vehicle, and to be able to tell everyone about what you guys did for me. Thank you!!
