So here’s the deal we bought a car and it was reasonable priced for the year and model. He was super nice and professional and really helped us out by letting us come back and pay for registration a week later. Anyways we go to fill up the car a few days later and gas starts pouring out of the tank. Initially we thought maybe a rupture somewhere in the tank. I jacked it up but could find know damage. The next day the check engine light comes on so I took it to the local auto parts store and found out the code was thrown for the evaporation sensor which makes sense since gas would literally pour out of the tank on fill up. The next day to check the fuel pump only to find out that a monkey must have been trying to install it. It was screwed on all lopsided and took 3 minutes to fix by simply pressing in the silicone seal. Now here’s where things get suspicious... He had recently bought the car so I’m not accusing him of doing it intentionally deceitful but he had not stated doing anything to the fuel pump. I find it odd that if he had not done anything to it the check engine light should have already been on, therefore he may have cleared the codes. Here again I can’t overstate again how professional he was and seemed very genuine and could have possibly just inspected it and not screwed it back down again. It wasn’t a big deal just a slight inconvenience that’s seems slightly suspicious.UPDATE 10/10They had also installed new struts do to the old ones needing replacement. When putting on new tires and rotating the old one the knuckles had been so badly hammered on they popped out of place and had to be welded back together just to be drivable. Not quite sure who his mechanic is but if you cant install struts with out damaging other integral parts you shouldnt install them at all.

This was probably the best car buying experience I have had. Had the professional feel of a dealer but not the greasy salesman feel. I worked with Mark. The guy met me on his day off, came across as very honest and his pricing was very fair. I would buy a car from him again for sure.

I bought a 97 Volvo 850 GLT and the seller Mark was very helpful and offered a great product, he even gave me rubber gloves before the test drive (if your reading this in the future this is the day before the state wide quarantine) to keep any germs out of the vehicle if I had decided not to purchase. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a healthy car for a reasonable price. I’ve owned the car for 12 hours and it’s been fine so far, I’ll update if anything goes wrong with the vehicle. Edit: the very next day the vehicle is leaking oil out the left rear of the engine while it’s running. Possibly a head gasket, valve cover gasket, exhaust camshaft rear gasket, oil feed or return hoses to turbo. Will update again after I make it to mechanic. Update: I talked to Mark and he decided to eliminate the $175 I still owed to help cover the parts and labor costs to replace the PCV box and the rear Cam seals and even offered to have his mechanic do the work. Based off this response I have concluded that Mark was not trying to screw me over like some other smaller dealerships by selling a lemon and was oblivious to the signs of a clogged PCV box as was I. Update 4/27/2020 the right side CV axle disintegrated while I was driving. Apparently both cv axle boots on the wheel end of the axle had torn boots and enough dirt eventually entered the right side axle bearings and it exploded leaving me stranded. And as I was stopping after pulling over I put the car in park and I believe since the right axle no longer had connection with the wheel and was still rotating even after the car had stopped the rotating force of the axle was enough to shear the parking pin inside the transmission meaning that the car now rolls while in park with the hand break off and without a foot on the brake pedal. I’m not sure if they seller knew about the issue and decided not to mention them or if he actually didn’t know and the mechanic either phoned in the inspection or didn’t bother to mention the worn parts

Even after buying it, he informed me of a few technicalities I needed to bring to my attention. They really care about your experience with the car and the prices are very reasonable. They are always open to your questions about the car and will do their best to give you an exceptional experience. Cars are not perfect; problems will come up with them and you cannot blame that on the owners. They do their best to check the cars and problems may occur after you buy it, but they will always be open to help you with that.

So far so good. They really do beat out other dealers since their operation is more simple and I felt like they made sure I was taken care of. Would recommend.

Too good to be true? It probably is. Sold us a piece of trash Ford Freestyle. They lied about the transmission, and it went out a couple months later. Wouldve cost more than the car to repair it, so we just scrapped it instead. Get a mechanic to look at the car if you buy from these guys.

Needed a car for the wife on short notice. Found 2 cars i was interested in advertised on Craigslist within 1 hour, both from American Pharaoh. Texted the number on the ad late on a Saturday evening and got a reply from Mark 15 minutes later. He’s written a review because I bought the car but he’s had to fix multiple problems on the car & ive decided to write one because I’m pretty frustrated about my experience with the car. When we got there Mark was great super friendly & not pushy. One thing he kept saying over and over was that it was a used car so it had some disadvantages on the body but mechanically the car ran perfect. This was not the case at all. I was a beginner driver when I bought this car & didn’t realize how bad the alingement was until i drove it every single day it pulled so hard to the right I couldn’t take my hand of the wheel for more then a couple seconds. Mark said that an alignment would cost only $45-50. This was not the case alignment places every single one I’ve called gave me a price of $100+. The first week I brought the car home the check Engine light came on + the tires were so bad and needed to be changed because the alignment was so awful. I understand it’s a used car but I’m giving you almost 3,000 of hard earned money so you should be honest and let customers know EVERYTHING. Literally the second day I brought it home the check Engine light came on. That’s ridiculous. Every single mechanic I’ve gone to or has even looked at the car has pointed out so many problems with whoever did the mechanical work. Ive had SO SO many issues with this car I’d take your money elsewhere.
