I feel like everything is very easy going. I do however wish I was notified on how long the service was going to take. Thank goodness I did it on a Saturday. I was thinking about going early before work one day and I would have been late. Other then that everything was awesome! I really liked the girl who was helping me out with my services!
My experience was great! Ive been there a couple times now and everyone is so nice and efficient. I also love the lounge they have with coffee and snacks. It creates a very nice vibe and pleasurable experience.
Extremely Efficient! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and makes you feel like youre part of a family.
I was greeted with professionalism and given an estimated time to pick up my car. Employees were respectful and prompt . Waiting room clean and comfortable. My car was ready after few hours in a perfect condition!
My promo said I would get an interior disinfect and exterior clean. When I picked up the car the passenger side door was still covered in sun screen. Everything else was fine, but minus a star for not fulfilling the first time service promotion.
Staff were very attentive and pleasant. I needed a new battery and was accommodated within 2 hours even though the service center was booked. Thanks for the great service.
The Autobarn offers great service for necessary maintenance. The appointment is on time. The waiting room is pleasant.
A complete disaster. Played with my time. 6 weeks to do their job. Always excuses. The dealer manager a disaster and no one apologizes. 11 years being a client. Im done with them. unprofessional, cheap, lack of character.
Had a part on my car replaced, and was very pleased with the result and the timeliness. The facility is very nice looking, clean, and the waiting room expansive and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating or communicative.
Location refused to honor coupon for first responders for a free oil change. Apparently this location is too cheap and doesnt consider first responders worth their time. Im done with Mazda. Cant wait until my lease is up, Im sick of this backwards company!
I really regret entering into a lease with this group. I paid for an extra warranty to cover paint touch ups and, after two years, and multiple requests have not been able to use it. They also have this woman who calls you after every visit who asks you to give them a good review and asks you to lie about her asking you to do a good review. So weird. Just so aggro and unable to actually care about their customers.
My husband and I bought a Mazda CX-30 from this dealership. It was a pleasant buying experience all the way around and we are very happy with our new car!
Kind of hard to find. The eastern entrance is now closed. Servive is good.
I have been here for two hours for an oil change. They came out to tell me that I need some other repairs. When I said I didn’t want to do them now they told me they bring my car out. That was 20 minutes ago I’m still waiting. If my oil changes were not a part of my car purchase price I wouldn’t come here for my oil change. I was not a walk in as I made an appointment.
The place is a little hard to find. Once you know where its all good.
I was promised a remote start when I bought the car in 2020. It took a year to get the remote start installed and it still is not working. I have been on the phone with customer service, sales and other people and yet I am still waiting to hear. Now I am being told to take my car to another place . It is so frustrating since this car is new(ish) and no one calls. They email and text, so informal.
First time car buyer. Couldn’t imagine a better process for something that had truthfully given me a touch of anxiety. Would strongly recommend this dealer, especially Corey Jackson who bent helped tremendously with the process - transparent, laid back, and focused on what I wanted.
The Autobarn is the absolute best dealership! The level of professionalism and care they provide to their patrons is exceptional!
The staff explains everything that is being taken care on the car. Also they are attentive if there are ever any questions
Bought a car that I really like from a very nice salesman named Ivan. As expected the finance guy was pushy but mostly polite - I did have to tell him multiple times when I wasnt interested, having to be rather blunt before he understood. This will be the third time Im having to try to unsubscribe from their emails. I bought a new car... Im happy with the new car, but emails every day that the unsubscribe button does nothing for is crazy considering how much money they made off me.Im answering their dumb review so that maybe, just maybe, they will see this and properly unsubscribe me from their daily spamming.
Everyone is very attentive and professional. They do a good job of explaining whats happening with frequent updates.
Excellent service! The service technician was kind and professional. He informed me of what to expect regarding time it would take to service my car, kept me updated with texts throughout. It really was a positive experience.
Very normal service experience
I came here for two different services within a couple weeks of each other. Both times they knew I was waiting in their lobby and just completely forgot to tell me when my car was ready and I waited over an hour extra both times.
Jeff Williams was awesome. Knew his stuff, gave me a quote immediately on the phone, didnt drag out the process and hassle me, went above and beyond to get me the interior color I wanted, and then took time to show me all the cars features upon delivery (after Id purchased it, so its not like he was looking to make a sale). And it was freezing cold out. Would absolutely buy from him specifically again!
Very professional and a comfortable waiting area.
The service staff was courteous and professional. I waited in the lobby until the service was complete. The area was roomy so social distancing wasnt an issue.
Jiovann was the absolute best!!! Kind, funny, knowledgeable -- literally cannot say enough good things about him.
Just about everything went fine but the check engine light came back even after paying for diagnosis and an engine part.
They have slow service and they never get back to you. You have to go there to get results on car. Waste of time if thats where you want to fix your car.
People working in the parts department need to re educate themselves on the differences between Mazda OEM oil and Castro. Stop telling customers it’s the same.
The Service team was very unprofessional. They kept my car for almost a month and didnt provide any feedback about the status of the repairs.I kept calling the Service center for updates and they were not very responsive. One month after, the Manager of the service center calls me to say they were not able to fix my problem and they just returned my car back.I would not recommend this service center.
Consistently excellent service. Quick check in, polite all the way.
I bought my very first car from Mazda Autobarn and it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and very helpful through my process.Their service department is also great. They kept me in the loop when my car was in their shop. All around very smooth process.
The staff is wonderful ☺️. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy.
Car matt installation, the guy was very helpful.
Overall great experience. Fast, friendly quality service.
Very friendly and knowledgeable sales people and went out of the way to help me purchase my car.
Oscar is LITERALLY the BEST! Been helping me for years and all their staff are very efficient, respectful and wonderful. Wont go anywhere else. Its the dealership that 9 out of 10 times has the best prices when compared to others. Love them.
They are amazing.I decided to do last minute service and I had to pickup some stuff and leave early so not they privileged me with a loner car but also did my car service so quickly. THEY ARE THE BESTT...
We take our Alfa here for service. We havent had any issues with the car. Service is relatively quick and you can walk to the target or best buy in the complex. Lately they have become even more efficient and communicate via text. America was really friendly when we brought our car in last.
Wow! All I can say is that the service that I have received from these peeps is nothing less than awesome! Absolutely recommend them for anything you need. There is a reason me and my husband have bought our last two cars from the Autobarn!!
Stephen was very helpful in identifying the issue for my car and replacing my head unit fast. Would highly recommend
Always takes significantly longer than the already long service times they quote. Always try to sell unnecessary extra services. Will never consider buying the maintenance package again.
A very good professionally run service department.
They couldnt do the coupon I presented them even though the coupon was through their Mazda email from this dealership. Also once I relooked over the paperwork I paid an extra 3.89 for a misc. charge that I cant find the reason for on the bill.
A few months ago it took them till a third visit for them to find an issue that we had told them we thought to be occurring. On the third visit they let us know theyd take care of everything at their expense. Even with all that were super happy with them and will keep bringing our car back, theyre super nice and thoughtful toward customers needs. Thank you for continuing to work hard during this super stressful situation!
I have always had great service here. Been in three times for my 2019 Mazda 3, the first two for recalls, and the third for an oil change and recall. Theyve always been super courteous and professional. Barry, the gentleman who helped with my oil change, is truly a kind and wonderful person. Absent moving out of the city, this is where Ill take my car to get serviced every time.
Efficient. They automatically applied the coupon to reduce the cost of the work.
Really good customer service on the Nissan service side. The waiting room was clean and snacks were available.
I purchased the Xzilon warranty from Autobarn and was told it covered all cosmetic damage - interior and exterior. This was just a little over a year ago when I bought a car from them. I called to inquire about how to file a claim for some small scratches on the paint and they told me to bring the vehicle in. I went in for my appointment and waited 2 hrs only to find out that they couldnt handle the claim at the dealership and I needed to contact Xzilon directly. This was really an unfortunate waste of my time. I then contacted Xzilon and was informed that the warranty does not cover scratches - only dents. This was not what my salesperson said. I feel really mislead and taken advantage of. They pushed this policy really hard and its completely useless.
This is a wonderful dealership. Ryan and Oscar have gone above and beyond to ensure every detail of service to my car is handled perfectly. They have made suggestions for improvements to my car that I was unaware of and were completely covered by the warranty. Their suggestions were greatly appreciated. And have ensured a loaner car for the times that service was over an hour. It is the best possible service with friendly, wonderful people - complete professionalism and courtesy. The facility itself is kept beautifully.
HAVE USED FOR 11 YEARS AND HAVE EXPERIENCED EXPEDITIOUS AND COURTEOUS SERVICE .
Easy to make appointments, no hassles and good customer service
Good service and people working here. I have been satisfied with the work and service provided.
Great service. Attentive folks. Love the coffee bar and the treats they set out. Theyve always been very helpful. Its also a good place to work since theres free wi-fi.Cant complain. Its a great service center and we always take our Mazda here.
Pretty bad all around
AVOID AT ALL COST. RIP OFFI asked for a quote on what it would cost for front and rear end brakes, rotors, and tires. Was quoted at 2500$. When I called them back to say I would be going somewhere else that cost less than half that amount, I was told they had already done my front end. Charged me just under $700 for the front brakes and rotors without my consent. When I asked for them to change it back they said they cannot do that and I will have to pay for parts and service I never agreed to. I will never return to this place for even the most simple of tasks. I would give zero stars if I could.
I was disrespected at the service that I want everything free. I went there to get an estimate and a prejudice associate told me that I want everything free. Terrible customer service compared to what I know about Nissan from 4 years..not the same Autobarn as it used to be with the dealership back in the days.
I called Evanston for a part, they said it was in. Drive there to find out they moved the parts department. No apologies for sending me to the wrong location.Get to the next place, they cant even tell me if there is a warranty on the part, or who would know. The part was originally metal and is now cheap plastic.I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Shop somewhere else.Edit: I was not given warranty info for the part, the manager did not have the part number. He made me aware of 2 recalls and tried to sell me another car.I would give zero stars now if I could. Not fixing the situation and then lying about it is worse then the original issue.
Easy, professional, and the charming man with the dark glasses was very easy going and informative. He immediately gave me a car (nicer than mine) to borrow since he wasnt sure my problem would be solved that day and he was right. It was fixed for a very reasonable price the next day. Will be back-if I have to!
I have never been so impressed with a car repair center. I took my car in due to a transmission issue thinking it would be out of usage for a while. They answered the phone every time I called, no auto machine. Super personal when I walked in. Listened to me and didnt try to overly up-sell like a lot of dealers do. They provided a loaner and fixed my car in less than 24 hours. The most impressive part was that they had me personally drive my car with the mechanic to provide the final okay. Mazda has impressed me twice now with their service here at the Autobarn and I will definitely be returning for my regular maintenance needs. I would like to mention Tommy who took care of my issue from start to finish and say that he did a fantastic job. Will be back! Thanks Mazda!
Service is decent, but this place is shady. They’ll find ways to charge you more than expected. Watch out for the high pressure up-sell tactics.
Although I didnt purchase my car at that particular dealership, she service us great, car wash no charge, staff is very nice
Was helped by PB during my first visit. It was a while ago and I can’t rememebr what it was for, but it was taken care of. Myself and Sylvie (my car), were happy with the service.Went in yesterday for the second time, and I was helped by J. Issue was handled within minutes, conversation was light and the handshake was solid. Thanks PB & J.
They overcharge for parts/labor. They charge $150 to do a diagnostic test and then provide very limited information as to what they actually found. I have been a loyal customer of Mazda’s for years but after the last time I brought my car here I will never bring it to this service center again. They treat you like a bank account, not a person.I kept coming back over the years because they give you a loaner car for free - very convenient when you need your car to work each day. Sadly this benefit is not worth the excessive costs of repair.
The list of issues with this service center is miles long, but lets go through some of them:1. They have hands-down the worst at-the-door customer service Ive ever born witness to. Even when you enter a McDonalds the people behind the counter greet you and try to find out why youre there. If youre lucky here, you might be able to hassle an overworked, underpaid desk intern to mumble their way through some semblance of an on-boarding process.2. Once they have your car, youll need to remind them to give it back, because they wont remember to. Theyll leave it parked out front for upwards of 30 minutes before coming to get you and ring you up.3. If they manage to botch your service, which they have done and will continue to do, theyll try to gaslight you into accepting that its somehow your fault. Everyone makes mistakes, right? Forget the fact that youre paying them to take care of your livelihood.4. There is never a manager on duty, and thats on purpose - it seems to be such that everyone else working there has an excuse as to why they cant help you.5. Sometimes youll schedule a service weeks in advance, show up at your designated date and time, and be told they cant take you then. What is the point of the scheduling then?6. When you finally cajole the manager into calling you back, hell yell at you. I was almost incredulous at the tone of voice this man took with my wife, as though he wasnt aware he was representing a business, or maybe he knew exactly what kind of a miserable smoldering pile his business was and was just trying to truthfully represent it.7. Service here happens within an anomaly of space time, where time moves slower within the walls of the service center than it does outside. As a result, maintenance that could be performed within half an hour will take upwards of three full hours. Bring something to do.8. Bring something to eat, too, because the only things in walking distance are the ass ends of a Target and a Best Buy. From which the service center is situated simultaneously right next to, and nearly a half mile walk to their entrances.9. Their yelp listing is embedded into the dealership listing which skews the results. People buying brand new cars leave happy 5 star reviews, people bringing their brand new cars into this abysmal service center leave lower ones. Their google listing only comes up if you google the address, and it has a duplicated listing at that, further diluting the results.10. I implore you too look closely at this listing. Almost all of the positive reviews are blank or essentially so. Everyone who has anything to say about their service here has had a bad to middling experience. Im not going to get into the specifics of my incident here because I dont wish to be identified, but DO NOT do business with this location until they clean up their act.Think very carefully and intently about the repairs youd like to have done to your vehicle, and then dont do any of it. Your vehicle and mental landscape will both be in better shape than if you had brought yourself within a quarter mile of this service center.
Good service...only complaint is the crew that answer calls and set appointments....dont have answers and the appointment I set wasnt even in the system when I arrived...thankfully the service dept still took me and made the recall repair.
I love they give me a free rental, but I pay five times as much as my regular mechanic, so not a deal. Last time, my service manager failed to notice the mechanic working on my car had called in sick until I stopped by at 3 pm, expecting my car to be done. Recommended if you have more money than time.
First class service.Oil change and maintenance on my Alfa Romeo.Oscar is very helpful and polite, and I am very happy with the experience with the service center.
Not the fastest, but thorough and reasonably priced. Plus theres free ramen and good WiFi in the waiting area!
Not sure why there are any bad reviews I have been going to this service center since they opened I mainly deal with Simon and Aden they are always helpful and they always take care of me. I highly recommend the service center over any other Mazda service center in the Chicago land area!!!
Great place for service
Nice staff, comfortable waiting area. People always get confused when they come in through the waiting area. The high desks where customers wait look like the counter and people assume that is the counter, when actually its down the hall.
Until I bought a Mazda from Autobarn I never brought my car to a dealer for service. Juan Vargas has earned my trust with his customer service, care, honesty, and thorough explanations. I believe I am making a good investment by following Juans recommendations for maintenance. My 2013 Mazda 3 runs as smoothly as it did when I bought it 38,000 miles ago.2/8/2019 Editing review to say that Juan is no longer with the company, and the service hasnt been satisfactory since he left over a year ago. They are kind but try to sell us unnecessary services. They just got a new manager, so we may or may not give them another chance to improve.
I really appreciated the service Tomy at Autobarn gave me - He called me regularly to give me updates and was just a nice person to work with... I would recommend this place to anyone.
My experience at the autobarn service center was one of the best experiences ive had dealing with a car wash. The Alfa porter does an outstanding job washing my vehicle. I will always come back to this place and recommend to get your car washed by the porter.
Front desk ladies were not very nice at all or helpful. When I picked my car up after over a week It was extremely dusty and still hand hand prints all over it. They couldn’t have cleaned it after being there for so long ? Was not very impressed
I was told i needed my air filter changed i had a friend check it out and it was perfectly fine so i dont trust them
Awesome service
Even though I had an appointment for an oil change, the person at the front desk said that it would take longer time than unusual, since they were really busy. Other than myself and another person with her kids, there was no one there. They did not fill up the windshield solution and they did not put a sticker on my windshield for an oil change reminder.I had a $25 coupon, but I ended up paying as much as I wouldve paid if I went to the repair shop across the street. The only good thing out of this, is that they updated the software and fixed a recall.
I’ve only taken my motorcycle here one time so this review should be weighted accordingly; however, my experience was decent....meaning they got the job done, albeit slowly and seemingly without much diligence applied. The service guy was cool and strait-forward. They had free coffee n drinks which I took made a dent in, while waiting...and waiting, so that’s cool I guess. Does anyone know of a place that services motorcycles in this area? If so, I envy your knowledge. I’m not a fix it guy. The only tool I own is a lousy key multi-tool. So having a place nearby that works a little magic on my bike, so that it stays nice...is priceless.
Prompt professional service
I was looking forward to having Mitsubishi service closer than Schaumburg, but this place is in the middle of nowhere. The dealership is convenient in Evanston by the purple line, but for some reason they’ve moved all service over here. It’s a nice facility, but hard to get anywhere and get back if you need to leave your car for service.
There are no honest dealer service centers, this one is no exception! over the past last few regular service visits, they have been trying to sell me services that I dont need or must have according to the manufacturer manual stating that they were a must, or overdue (i.e. a transmission fluid exchange for a skyactiv mazda at 40K miles and a front brake job including the pads and rotors at $550!) to make matters worse it took them today 3 hours to complete an oil, filter and tire rotation job!last time to bring my car for service and most probably last time to buy a Mazda, love the car but cant trust the dealer anymore!
Ive never thought an Auto Service Center could make me feel like I was at home. From the minute I walked in I was greeted with smiles and pointed in the right direction to get my car fixed. They even offered me water and snacks while I waited. The one thing that really surprised me was how FAST the repair was. It was done 45 minutes earlier than I was told making me a happy camper. I definitely will be taking my car back for any future repairs. Highly recommend!!!
I took my car here to have a headlight bulb replaced. A few months later the new bulb looked like it had burned out. I found out that it was installed incorrectly and the bulb fell out of the socket and was hanging down, burning anything it touched. They wanted to charge me for a new headlight assembly. I asked for them to cover the cost since the bulb that caused the damage was installed incorrectly by them. They refused. I will not be taking my car here again. The staff has pretty poor communication and there are very long waits here.
The wait area is worthy of the star. My tires were leaking air and I needed a 75k maintenance. Told me nothing wrong with the tires and don’t need any maintenance. I was throwing my money at them and they didn’t want to take it. Went to a neighborhood mechanic and got things fixed. Horrible.
One of the most hi tech service centers around. Get you in and out without a hassle! Fantastic service advisors and the best technicians Mazda has!
This review is for the Fiat service. I talked to my dad after going here, and after informing him how much I paid for a coolant system flush, he was stunned, mostly at me. Their original location on Chicago Ave. had great service and was always busy, but the new location is like a ghost town, no wonder. Ill find another dealership but KNOW YOUR PRICES!
Great facilities. Great service. (Mazda side at least.) But no Italian coffee bar in the middle!? At Alfa dealer service... Shame RF2K!
Simon Kim and Reena Parmar are stand-out employees. Yes, you will pay more for certified Mazda parts and service, but I prefer taking a new car to the dealer. The rest of the staff is great as well. The old mangaer was Aiden McCarthy and he really looked out for his customers. I dont know the new manager well, but with people like Simon and Reena working there, you cant go wrong. They are honest, fair, and good communicators. They tell you like it is. For me, its Mazda Autobarn Service Center or nothing. Free car washes as well.
$75 for computer software upgrade that shouldve been covered since its the manufacturers fault! Estimated 40 min turns into 2 hrs wait... Not to mention, Im charged an environmental disposal fee ... for a software upgrade. Go figure.
Great service
3.5 stars. This place is definitely a mixed bag. Had great service once. Terrible service before, too. Made an appointment to replace a very basic part on Tues for the following Sat. Said theyd have the part Thurs and theyd call to confirm. I had to call them on Thurs and they hadnt even ordered the part yet. Once finally had it, they replaced it fairly quickly, but only after I told them I had given them a bad survey in the past. So I would say if you want good service threaten a bad survey. Apparently, thats something thats paid attention to by the powers that be - whoever that may be.
This place sucks. Dont ever take your car here. It took them six weeks to fix my car. Every time I called I would get the same answer, the parts have been ordered! It doesnt take a certified service center that long to get parts. They blamed the insurance company for stalling, even though autobarn had a check in hand for 4weeks! I hope someone from auto barn reads this. You suck! Dont trust these guys. Theyll just run up your bill, and lie to you.
Do not, under any circumstances, bring your vehicle to their service center located at 2201 Autobarn Place in Evanston. DO NOT! I am not being hyperbolic, its a trap, do not go!Would you take your car to a place that spectacularly botches routine oil changes?Would you take your car to a place that lets you schedule maintenance, and then tells you they cant take you at the scheduled time?Would you take your car to a place where the manager shouts at your wife on the phone because he thinks he can bully her into taking the blame for a mistake the technicians made?Boy, you should have heard how his tone of voice changed when a man got on a phone, what a pig. What a miserable human being.Listen, this place doesnt respect you, your money, your property, or your time. They have the worst bedside manner of any repair shop Ive ever been to. They WILL botch something simple and blame you for it, or drop some snide everyone makes mistakes line. They do not take the customer seriously and take very lightly the fact that they are responsible for something that affects your day-to-day livelihood.AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.Matter of fact? Avoid their Mazda dealership too. Full of slimeballs. And yeah, this review is posted under a pseudonym because they have a history of trying to bully their customers into changing negative reviews. If you didnt want to try and fix my problem in-situ, you dont deserve to bother me now that its a permanent mark on your record. You lost that opportunity sometime between the mishandling of the worlds most basic maintenance, putting my wife in harms way on the expressway, and the time you shouted her into tears on the phone. Go out of business.
I am a two time owner of a Mazda Miata, the second one, which I am driving at the present time, was purchased at the Autobarn on Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. I recently had my car serviced at that location (and more recently at the new location) and wanted to compliment you on one of your employees, Juan Vargas. He has been my service rep for several years now and I couldn’t be happier..
Shout out to Stephen Antoniades he took his Mazda 3 SGT here the car is custom car excellent condition. And this service center put him and his family at risk by having him drive on 2 spare tires. He bought four tires from Mazda and 3 tires blew out on the express way damaging the rims. Mazda did not do any repairs from the damages they were the cause of.
