I have to correct my first review 10/16/21,I took my vehicle in for front break/rooter, noise concerns, needed both took a little over 2hrs.. we left and extreme loud sounds occured, shop was closed so I left a review contingent on my issue being resolved. I was so impressed by Midas of Ellicott City I have to post this! I had pulled in to Dollys car wash and happened to notice my back right tire was really low! Pulled back out and went right to Midas. Rob, Travis and another young man came to assist me immediately! By putting air in my tire it sealed back on my rim. I went over a small curb (when an SUV took up a portion of my side of the road almost hitting me) When I left Dollys again I pulled back to Midas and they checked to make sure it was holding air! It was not. They immediately got the tire off while I took my black lab in their waiting room! There David was as pleasant as the rest of these guys! They are a team of Professional, friendly, service oriented well trained men. I am highly recommending them!! I was on my way in less than a half hour!

I have trouble finding places that will help me, be nice to me, not judge me, and not overcharge me and so far this is at the top of my list as I go down 40 to find a place to fix my car! Richard was very comforting to talk to when I called to bring my car in. They were quick and I dont feel like I was overcharged. The call with the mechanic is always the scariest part for me, but he was also great on the phone! I have to go back in a couple days to get some things checked out, but I feel confident that theyll be able to take care of my car!

I’m from out of town and had a loaded horse trailer with stud bolts broken off from my trailer hub. This was on a Saturday mind you. They worked super hard trying to locate these parts from various vendors and were able to get me back on the road same day. When they found significant wear on the brake pads and rotors, they quoted a decent price for the full replacement (along with the oil change and tire rotation). The guys at this Midas were great! They showed me that my brake fluid didnt really need changing, but recommended as a precaution. Needed winterizing and oil change/check all fluids/ tire rotation/check brakes for wear/look for cabin air filter (not one on my model), check alignment. They are thorough and efficient (albeit it was not busy when I was there). Needed a new oil filter. They told me brakes were fine with just slight rusting on outside. Can wait-not safety issue. I appreciate their honesty. Very affordable. Online oil change w/tire rotation $49.85, filter around $28. Labor charge very low (after previous week’s dealership labor $$ it was welcome surprise!). A pro service station ran by a manager and staff who take pride in their work and their customer service. I needed to get my new muffler installed on my jeep so I called Midas in Ellicott City and the front desk girl Lizzie said they had a service bay open and to come by. The manager and staff quickly got on the project and had me out of their in less than an hour. While waiting for my jeep the manager Rich and Lizzie were giving me updates when they should be done installing the muffler and were very personable talking current events and just regular conversation which was a nice way to kill the time. They had me out of their in less than an hour and I was able to get back to my job site with the greatest of ease. A highly recommended place for your auto service needs. Excellent service and excellent work. 5 star referral.

I was a little skeptical of all the good ratings posted for this place. I was very happy to be proven wrong. Its all good here. They were courteous and efficient. I needed a very specific part for my exhaust that had rusted. I had one mechanic quote me $600 and then he sent me here instead! These guys took me in on a Saturday morning at 11am out of the blue and had my part ordered and installed by 4pm, for half the price. They texted me the next day to ask how the car was doing. Thats great service!

Service advisor David, promptly provided professional advice and replaced the battery while I waited. Only complaint I have is that the mechanic who installed the battery did not replace all the rubber grommets back on the engine cover.

Service technician was great, just longer than I expected. Appointment was for 9 a.m., I arrived at 8:35 and my vehicle was taken right in but it took over an hour. That has not happened before.

Managers went way beyond the call of duty to diagnose and ultimately fix a computer and wiring harness problem.

Went in thinking I was going to need rear brakes and tires and praying they weren’t going to try to sell me on front brakes and rotors done too, along with an oil change. Banking on a $500+ morning... after they inspected everything I was only due for an oil change 🥳 and they gave me a range when I could be due for brakes and tires!! And to boot they gave me a $20 off coupon for my oil change.Very nice, friendly, spoke so I could understand. Answered all questions...highly recommended !

I had gone to a Mr. Tire where they tried to tell me I needed four new tires. The Midas technician repaired the tire perfectly. When I need new tires, I will come to the Midas on Rte 40 in Ellicott City.

We were visiting our relatives over the weekend and had car trouble. Went to Midas at Ellicott city with brakes problems on a Saturday morning. Very courteous staff, who explained what it will take and how much time it will take for them to diagnose and call back. They did the same in the said time, offered options and explained the problem nicely over the phone. They completed the work in agreed time and I had a car which is working well. Would definitely recommend the place.

We’ve used our local Midas, on route 40 near Dolly’s Car Wash, for our oil changes for over 5 years. The shop is very well run, honest, professional and completes our oil changes in a very timely manner. It’s not just an oil change for the price, it’s a tire rotation and inspection all in one. We use synthetic oil in the newer vehicle and we kept basic oil in the older vehicle. They respect their customer’s decisions and always offer fair deals on their suggestions of recommendations for further service, yet, they aren’t pushy and they don’t exaggerate to get your business. We highly recommended them for their integrity and service provided.

Went there for oil change for my 2016 Hyundai Elantra. They say brake pads and rotors on front need to be replaces. I agree. So far so good. They order the parts and perform the job WITHOUT telling me what the price would be. AFTER they placed order for the parts, they tell me it’s going to be around $500. I should have said no but they made me feel bad by saying they already placed the orders. After the job was done, they showed me the bill which was $433 ($87 for brake pads, $171 for rotors and $175 for labor cost).Here’s the takeaways:1) I could have definitely get these done cheaper at a mechanic few miles away.2) They placed orders for parts before informing me of the prices.I am not sure how this place has so many good reviews.

I was very pleased with the quality of customer service I experienced. I was pleasantly surprised by the text message I received, showing the results of the inspection they performed, even including photos of my tire tread. This was my first Midas encounter. It wont be my last.

Woke up Monday morning to a low tire. Took it to Valvoline to get some air and was told I had a screw in it. Never been to Midas but stopped in. Richard was friendly, professional and very helpful. I wasn’t happy to hear I needed a new tire due to where the screw was..and that my pilot required a Bridgestone Dueller sport tire, which is not a tire most stock!! Richard took the time to locate the tire and had it delivered within an hour. I called several places, including my mechanic and was told late afternoon to end of the week... the price was in line or less than what I was given on the phone. Extremely pleased with Midas and kudos to Richard for a great experience on Monday morning.

I have shopped, or tried to shop, at literally every tire shop in a 25 mile radius around Elliott City. Some didnt honor my scheduled appointments, some didnt have the tires ready, some put lug nuts on wrong, and some were too costly. I only buy Michelin tires because numerous times they have lasted longer than 100,000 miles. Scott at Midas is THE most efficient and professional tire salesperson I have ever had business with. I have already returned there again for more tires. This is one great place.

Scott and his team are really great! Most recently, I had to get a lot of brake work done. He went over various issues, helped me understand which were safety concerns, and emailed me options so I could come to a final decision. I had some concerns a few days later before a big drive, and he had me bring it in, cleaned, visually inspected, and test drove again, and set my expectations for what was normal and what would be a concern after getting brake work done; all at no charge, because they stand behind their work. Im really glad I made the switch a while back to having them be the servicer of my vehicles!

I came into this Midas location for brake work and I was not in the best spirits when I found out that my car would need brakes and rotors. Scott was super courteous and provided me the reassurance that made the blow of having to get a complete brake job a bit more bearable. I will definitely be returning for future services.

Honest, friendly staff did me right. I remounted and rebalanced a rim here and they didn’t try to up sell me on anything. Tire wasn’t damaged, just the rim, and they were honest about that which I seriously appreciate. Will do a ton of my maintenance here from now on. Special thank you to Noah, great guy! They missed the hubcap and took an extra 15 min out of his day to put it on, and he gave me advice on replacing my broken TPMS. All around great service, I’ll be back!

Needed new tires for my truck. They were competitive and better yet very accommodating to my schedule. Did a great job and sent me a text as soon as it was ready. 45 minutes sooner than they estimated. Friendly and knowledgable staff.

Car I was selling had a bad TPMS. Every shop I went to wanted me to come back the next day to check/repair it. I noticed this Midas was open and I stopped in and Im glad I did. They had me in and out of there in 30 minutes and I saved $40 compared to what the ther shops were charging for the same work. Will definitely be back!!!

Beware!!!! Guest agent is very convincing over the phone that she can beat any competitors price. She highly recommends coming into Midas for a mechanic to take a look at the potential work your car possibly needs. So I gave it a shot waited at least 35-40 minutes just to receive a quote for labor and parts over one thousand dollars. Afterwards I discussed with the convincing guest agent how Im aware of the issues my car have and received a few competitor prices cheaper than Midas and was willing to show a invoice. Right after our conversation she takes all my verbal information back to the same Midas mechanic that quoted me for parts and labor and he tells me unfortunately he wouldnt be able to beat the competitor price.What a waste of time.

I had a weld break in my exhaust that was scraping against the road. I was able to make an appointment with Midas on the same day and the the weld was fixed in about an hour and a half.The staff was friendly, the receptionist was great over the phone and knowledgeable, and they took the time to show me where the weld broke.They also didn’t try to push any other fixes that some mechanics bs like bad air filters, brakes, etc. They simply fixed what I asked them to and nothing more.

Scott and his team run a great shop and even follow up to see how things are going. Excellent and honest service. Can’t ask for better.
