I went there twice, one time to get new tires and the next time because I found a nail in my tire. Both times, they were friendly, helpful and efficient. When I bought the tires, I was able to schedule and pay for my service online. It only took them about 2 hours to get it all done. I went there on a Sunday when I found a nail on a tire, and even though they looked really busy, they took care of me pretty quickly. These guys are really nice, honest, and hardworking and we will bring our cars back there if we have any tire needs
Michelle is the best sales person I have ever dealt with at Goodyear. Extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. Also Lilong to discuss the pros and cons on the tires and service. She convinced me the Road Hazard Insurance for three years for the Assurance Weather Ready tires too. Overall an extremely pleasant experience at Goodyear. And the team that installed them did a nice job also!
Very easy process from ordering online to installation at the store. Michelle was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. I am very pleased with not only the tire purchase but with the installation as well. I definitely will return to this store in the future.
Great service and advice. Eric is a true professional and extremely knowledgeable, the mechanics there are great and don’t miss anything. This is now my place to go!
Good service and $300 cheaper than the Ford garage offered fir 3 x tires.
Hello fellow motorist, I recently visited this service center having need of an oil change and overall check up on our 2005 Ford F-150. I refer friends here knowing they will be treated well by the management and workers. The showroom and restrooms are impeccably maintained, with all social distances and covid protection guidelines adherence. Upon the free courteous safety inspection, we were informed that our lower ball joints were in need of immediate attention. We didn’t question this finding knowing the truck has traveled 157,000 miles. The estimate was reasonable. They gave us an appointment and went to work as soon as we had arrived. The wait was pleasant and relaxing. I really trust this service team.I have been coming here for about ten years. I should left a review long ago. This is my way of saying, thank you!! And keep up the good job. Reminds me of the good ole days to do business with you.
I come from the eastern shore to get my car serviced at the Ellicott City Goodyear and time after time they DO NOT DISAPPOINT! The service manager, Ken, and technician, Todd, have repeatedly serviced my vehicles and done a wonderful job. They keep me up to date on what I need to get fixed now vs what may me on the horizon rather than insisting it all happen now like I know other shops do! Oh, the Goodyear Weather Ready Tires that were put on a year or so ago are AMAZING in the snow! My fiancé even said he want to get them on his new car!
Great experience. The staff was pleasant and their customer service was impressive. Ken especially, was super informative given I am preserving an older model car. Great location.
Wonderful experience. There is definitely a team at good year! Quick service. In these difficult times they made my experience feel quick and pain less. I want to personally thank Davone for the service as well as the whole team and service manager Ken. Thank you so much!
I absolutely love the service at this location and the hometown feel. Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. I dont usually wait and have used the night drop multiple times.
Great service, timing was just perfect and the Rep Eric Rug was very pleasant and helpful. Will visit again should the need arise
Ken was amazing to work with- professional, informative, honest, and went above what we expected. The entire crew of Goodyear representatives at the Ellicott City location has been so friendly, helpful and professional. Love coming here for all our car needs!
Knowledgable and caring staff have taken care of three of my cars. They take time to answer questions, explain whats being done, and work hard to get me the best deals possible.
Was there about a week ago and was a horrible service and super regret going there. I do not speak English very well and they did not know how to deal with it, I got an oil change where they didn’t put the sticker miles on the car, and also got all 4 tire changed and now a week later my tire is flat for no reason, not a single moment was offered to have a insurance for the tires if anything happens I’m not sure if they thought I wasn’t going to understand what it was or if they just really did think of offering. Going back now to see how much extra I have to pay and never doing service with them again.
Michele and Eric and the team are unbelievable...listening and treating you like a valued customer...we had a real emergency . Took care of us without having a appt....plus accurate service for my carYeah...thanks again...lettriches
Michelle, Tim and their management team really saved the day. Went in early on a snowy Monday AM, diagnosed the problem and they had my car ready by 1 PM. Been a satisfied customer for well over 10 years. Highly recommended.
I have always had a good experience at the Goodyear Auto Service Center on rt. 40 in Ellicott City. Yesterday (Sunday) I made an appt for Monday. Eric R. (very professional demeanor) called me a little while later and said I could bring my car in the same day. Two tires, a long overdue wheel alignment and free safety inspection. A touchless experience as well. Drove up to the store, called Eric to tell where the car was parked, I left the keys on the front seat and walked away to catch my ride home. A few hours later Eric called me to tell me the car was done. I paid over the phone and when I got to the store the keys and the paid invoice were on the front seat. I hopped in a drove away - the shaking in the steering wheel was gone and the car rode much better.5 stars for Goodyear and Eric R!
My appointment was honored which is very important, nothing more upsetting then making an appropriate and walk-ins service before you. I was in and out for an 1 and half for 4 tire installs, check-in and check out. Good work still holding up and I purchased the warranty just in case. Very happy customer
Great customer service and Eric Rug was very helpful. Tire was repaired quickly and efficiently. Would continue to get tires from here.
I have been dealing with Goodyear Tire for over 20+ years. I have known Todd on a personal level for all of those years. He has always been upfront and honest with all my work. His team is great at communication and they are pleasant to work with. I appreciate all the work. GREAT TEAM and Great work!!
Ken and the Goodyear team made sure everything was perfect and I really appreciated their attention to detail. My wife and I take all of our cars and our kids cars to Goodyear. they’re reliable, honest, and their friendly service is impeccable.
Great Great customer service from the time I arrived til the time I left! I do have to say Michelle was super friendly and professional! She wiped down the ink pens to sign the forms ! That is the first time Ive seen any business wipe down thier pens during COVID. Ive been to a few places using pens, and Ive never witnessed any of them wipe the pens down. They would just put them back in the pen holder. I had 4 tires put on in no time at all. Michelle explained everything to me that was done, and thanked me for coming in for service. I definitely will be back and will highly recommend them to my friends.
Quick and quality work done for a fair price with good parts! Could not recommend this location more!
Great place! Awesome service. Took my car on short notice on a Saturday. They fixed an almost flat tire and I am on the road again in 2 hours. Very friendly and detail service. They always give better prices on oil changes than the rest of the competition. Bernard was the person that helped me, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend the place!
Good place for ur tire repairs and even oil change. I have an old car, so doing oil change her is economical and they provide good service. Only one thing when u tale an online appointment, make sure u call them to confirm the appointment.
Honest service and fair prices
Honest. Knowledgeable. Very reasonable. Great staff. Timely
My mom has been going to good year for awhile, I was going to dealership to get oil changes done, I switched over to good year because I feel like I trust them better!🙂
Quick service
In general I have gotten good service from Goodyear. They have even solved some things that the dealers could not solve. That doesnt mean theyre perfect, but theyre pretty good. Ive used them for 20 years. Their service staff is attentive, the occasionally there will be lines for service at busy periods.
Very frustrated with recent service. I have been going to this place for many years. I had 4 new tires put on last weekend. Within a day the check tire pressure warning light came on. I noticed on driver side, both tires were at 35 psi and both tires on passenger side were at 32 and thought this is why the warning light came on. I adjusted all tires to be 32 but error still stayed on. Brought car back and was told that both sensors on drivers side were not working - yet there was no problem with sensors prior to bringing car in. I was told that most likely both sensors went off at exactly the same time - a premise that I cannot accept. The odds of both sensors going out exactly at the same time. when the only difference - before and after - was that I had all 4 tires replaced. The customer service rep. basically said I need to buy two new sensors - approximately $250. I left quite angry and will never return to this facility. I am not blaming them for the sensors going out, but was insulted by the condescending attitude of the agent - who looked at me as if I was trying to pull one over on them and have them replace the sensors as if they were faulty before I brought it in. This was absolutely not the case.
I brought my Civic in for a quick oil change this evening. Setting up the appointment was very easy online. Unlike the Pep Boys which I tried a week ago, they knew I had an appointment and took care of me right away. The oil change was quick and well done. The customer service was excellent, the young lady and gentleman that were there when I dropped off and picked up my car were very helpful and did not pressure me into anything more than I had asked, in fact they gave me a much better deal than I would have anticipated. I will definitely return to this Goodyear and would recommend it to others.
Great service and personnel. Purchased 4 brand new tires and it took less than 30 minutes to change them all. Great prices and quality. Just Awesome!!!
Awesome place to go they have a real respect for women and explaining exactly what you need for your car and vehicle. They also are willing to take the time make sure that you fully understand what theyre doing and why theyre doing it.
Got new tires on my car here with brand new wheels and when they took the old ones off the rim and put new ones on they scratched the daylights out of my wheels. Won’t be back.
DONT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLE.A year ago I sent in an extra fleet car for an oil change out of convenience and as a why not give them some business impulse. It was obvious there was uncleaned spillage where the valve gasket was. This was not a leak. The oil level always remained normal and no leak was present while doing routine maintenance while checking the fluids once a month. This car was only used seldomly out of the fleet and was driven less than 5000 miles in the last 12 months. Two days ago I noticed all the oil leaked out of the drain plug on to our lot. Upon examining where the hell the leak came from it was obvious it was leaking straight out of the oil pan plug. Reaching for the plug I was shocked to realize the pan was no longer even threaded. The bolt came straight out with the threads stripped and stuck in the groves. The washer was completely missing and there was some adhesive like gunk, which wasnt oil, stuck to the inside of the bolt. The last entity to touch the oil pan was Goodyear during the last oil change. Im not saying all the techs there are incompetent but someone apparently is hammer drilling oil drain plugs back onto the pan after oil changes.I sent an employee there to see if there was something they could do to fix the issue, either rethreading the pan for a larger bolt or changing the oil pan. She reported back saying the front counter person was asking her questions such as so youre telling me you didnt change the oil in a year??? Well, according to this, there was already an oil leak when you brought it in. Yeah, nonsense. There was no leak, ever. I understand for liability purposes, car shops must state leak spotted if there is oil staining anywhere in the engine bay, but 5 quarts of oil does not leak out in 1 night due to an oil stain not caused by a leak.Goodyear in Ellicott City stripped the oil pan bolt by using a hammer drill or manually over tightening the bolt during the last oil change due to negligence, deliberately hid the fact by taking my pan washer out and replacing it with some type of adhesive and now is pushing blame to a preexisting stain on the valve gasket thats on top of the engine with no underlying leak evidence.Take your business elsewhere. This is the same location where they hire techs to go on street racing test drives with customers cars and flip cars over right behind the lot. Yeah, that actually happened - I was there when it did. Was hoping their business theory would change but I guess sometimes nothing does.
I am a loyal customer of Goodyear, however, this was my first experience at this specific store. The other day I got a flat in NY and drove all the way home to MD. I walked in at 7am praying they would be able to take my car and have it fixed the same day. Not only did they take my car, they gave it to the mechanics to do first so I could get to my job. They were well informed, honest and all-over amazing. They took my concerns seriously and I did not feel pressured to buy anything extra. I will recommend this Goodyear to everyone I know, and I will continue to have my car serviced there.Great find!!!!
Ive been using Goodyear for various things for the last few years. They have been reliable, professional and courteous every time. I tend to be skeptical of auto repair facilities because they can easily take advantage of us lay people, but I do not get that feeling at this facility. I plan to make another visit next week.
Great service at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend
These guys are always knowledgeable, give honest assessments, and do great work. The service manager Ken is THE BEST. 👍👍👍
Incompetent! A couple of years back I had brake work done. Technician left the reservoir cap off - break fluid everywhere. Couple of year pass, Im thinking that maybe they have improved. Had tires swapped-out. Discovered later that the tech over torqued the lug nuts - cant get them off. In addition, the vehicle has locking lug nuts - the tech ruined the key. Had to purchase a replacement Never again will I use their services. I would give them zero stars, except I cant post without marking at least one.
What a bunch of idiots!!! Took 2.5 hrs to change one tire. Let me sit there even longer. I finally said something and the guy says oh are we putting the tire on the car. Well duh!! It is on the work order! So now another 20 minutes!!!!!!!!
Their technicians are knowledgeable, but the main supervisor named Eric is rude and very arrogant. He is not friendly at all which is a very important skill to interact with the public. I had a visit to their store today and had a bad experience with this guy.
Very quick service customer service was awesome the best was the technicians very helpful and knowledgeable I will bring my car here all the time
First, l was told that l needed to replace wiper blades. They were less than a month old. Second, l was told that all of my lug nuts needed to be replaced. This is simply not believable. Not one but was good? I do not trust this place and will never go there again.
I have now sent five of my friends here and they have been as pleased as I have. A close friend recommended this place to me a few years ago and what a relief it is to deal with a clean store and pleasant group of people for a change. I had been to the other shops and they are mostly all disappointing. Carol
Front end mechanics are known for yelling “the sky is falling” but the techs at good year seem to make up things that just are not true. They warned me that my ballpoints were shot and had to be replaced. Exact words were “they are so bad ur wheels may fall off”. Absolute nonsense. There was no play in the front end and no sign of wear on the ball joints. Will never go there again!
I took my car in for a brake estimate. They told me I needed new bearings in the front. I got the car back and took it to the dealer because I went to school with the mechanic there. He inspected the bearings and found that they were fine. I told the parson who recommended Goodyear to me and she said they had just told her that she needed new bearings and she had already got the work done. Get a second opinion because this seems to be a pattern.
No complaints
Was extremely expensive and the people were rude
Excellence service thank you all
Dishonest and/or incompetent service...i brought my suv there for a tire repair and was told that i really needed to buy a new tire. LIES!!. .I went to Mr Tire and the puncture was fixed no problem..i will never ever take any vehicle there again
Got me in same day right before Christmas to fix a flat tire. Good service
I took our van in for two front tires and a front end alignment. Goodyear presented an estimate for replacing ball joints and alignment of $976.00. I had the tires installed and took the van for a second estimate and found that the ball joints were fine and did not need to be replaced at this time.... We have been doing business with this shop for several years, well not anymore nor will I send anyone to them.
Fast service at a great price for a tire patch at a long-time EC store.
Honest and clearly explain what is required and what items can be done in the future.
This is an updated review. The text from my original 1-star review is below. I updated this to a 3-star review due to a solution Goodyear corporate worked with me to implement. In the end, Goodyear paid for me to get my car fixed at another auto care establishment.---- Original Review ----Summary: I brought my car in to have its oil changed and left with an oil leak. The customer service representative acknowledged the car may not have leaked prior to their work but insists that the new leak is “normal wear and tear”. I recommend Eakle’s Auto Care on Bethany Ln. Full details below. While I am displeased to the point of spending my free time authoring a review, I will write this narrative using only facts (save one bit of speculation that I simply can’t know as I was not with the technician when he/she changed the oil):1. I drive a 2006 Honda Civic with ~165K miles. I have never had any problems with the vehicle and get the oil change as directed by the cars maintenance minder. Including the service performed by Goodyear, my vehicle has had 22 oil changes.2. Last week the car’s maintenance minder instructed me to bring my car in for a routine oil change. The car was not leaking oil.3. Goodyear performed an oil change and I picked the car up the next day.4. Two days later I noticed two small (2” x 5”) oil spots in my garage. I took the car back to Goodyear and told them the car was leaking oil.5. Goodyear looked at the car and determined the threads in the oil pan were “worn” (aka stripped) and, as such, the seal offered when inserting the oil pan bolt into the pan was compromised.6. (A quick factual note) My Civic has an aluminum oil pan. Oil pan bolts are typically steel. Aluminum is much softer than steel. It is very easy for an unexperienced mechanic to over tighten an oil pan bolt, which leads to stripping and, subsequently, an oil leak. This is a common problem when oil is changed by less skilled technicians. And, in truth, could happen to a good mechanic whose mind was wondering or simply made a mistake.7. (Here is the bit of speculation) I suspect the technician overnighted the bolt, stripped the threads in the pan, and caused the oil leak. As I mentioned above, this is fairly common. Given the fact that my car wasnt leaking oil before Goodyear did their work, I feel this is a reasonable conclusion to draw.8. When I talked to Goodyear customer rep about all the above, he insisted the stripped threads were “normal wear and tear”. As I mentioned above, my car has undergone 22 oil changes. That is the bolt has been screwed in 23 times (including the first time at the factory) and unscrewed 22 times. I do not believe this number of screwing/unscrewing would strip the threads of an oil pan (note: these threads are covered in oil so one would assume even less wear and tear than typical household hardware that easily stands up to this level of use). What irks me the most is Goodyear (a) did not hardly acknowledged that my car went in operating well and came out damaged and (b) are unwilling to accept the most obvious and logical explanation for the damage. Given the evidence above, I would expect a quality establishment to take responsibility and offer to replace the damaged oil pan free of charge. For what its worth, the retail price of a replacement oil pan for my car runs just under $60.
I have been taking all my vehicles to this Goodyear for years now. They do awesome work and provided honest feedback on the car needs. I have done what others have said in negative reviews, they said I needed a new ball joint for one of my cars, I took it to a mechanic friend, he said technically no I did not need one, however, it is getting to the point it may need to be replaced and I should. DONE replaced.Today was inspection, I knew the tires were close to needing to be replaced, they were replaced. Honest feedback!
Great service, great communication, great experience - highly recommend!
Good year in Ellicott city takes great care of all my vehicles. Great customer service.
Finished sooner than estimated, good prices, not pushy, nice people. Ill be back.
They are not to be trusted. They told me I couldn’t patch my tire with a nail in it, which had a slow leak, and convinced me I needed a new tire. When I went to get a new tire, they tried to switch one of my other tires with my bad tire that had the nail in it, but took out the nail! Cheaters, don’t trust them. I will never go there again!
I said Hello and was completely ignored. Then he acted like he didnt know me and I go there all the time. Was very dissapointed. The only reason I used to go there is because they know me. Not going back.
Eric helped me order 4 new tires for my truck and get them installed. He was so professional and efficient, best tire experience ever!
I kind of wish I would have read some of the reviews before settling here. I went in with a flat tire that had a leak in hopes to get it patched. The mechanic came out to tell me he was unable to patch it and I needed new tires (which I knew, but was avoiding). He gave me the same story about the balljoints and alignment...basically, I paid $1,000 for low end tires. I really hate auto places that see a young woman (who doesnt know much about cars) as a means to get as much out of her as possible. Should have put my spare on and went to another place...
Always have issues with them checking things and charging for everything.
Excellent service. Trustworthy
Idiots. Ive taken my car here a couple times. The first time I was having problems with my car rumbling in gear and when I dropped it off I suggested it was an engine mount. They called me two days later and told me my exhaust was hitting the underbody of my car and they suggested that I pay them for a whole new catback. I took my car home without agreeing and quickly found on my own that the front engine mount was indeed bad. I took it back and asked them how much it would cost to replace and they told me $600 in parts and labor. I bought the part for $40 on Amazon and fixed it myself in 1 hour. Later I took my car in for an alignment and it took ages. Every time Ive been in the store the employees are rude and unfriendly, not to mention completely unknowledgeable and incompetent. I would not recommend this store. They will try to rip you off and steal your money under the assumption that you have absolutely no common sense.
Im new to the area, but I try to stick with Goodyear service centers when possible. These guys were nice, they got me in without an appt, and they fixed my problem fast. They also didnt pressure me to fix some other problems I had with my car, but couldnt afford to fix that visit--I will be going back when I can afford to. Also, the waiting area is clean and there is free wifi.
My appointment was at 10, my truck sat till 11 before it was moved . it took over 2 hours to get my oil changed . when i got my truck back, all my compartments were rummaged thru . dont know if anything was taken . will not be using this service and i would strongly advise against the use of this establishment.
I took the time to call with a Merchants Quote which was over $109.00 less than the quote I received from this goodyear location on the EXACT same tires Goodyear Assurance Max Fuel so I was comparing apples to apples and being honest about my request for a price. I asked about the price match guarantee against a the Merchants Price which was $109.00 less than theirs, I was then told that the merchants price did not include installation. Well, I had the pricing information sitting right in front of me. All totals came out with shop supplies, removal and installation etc etc.to $508.19 including a merchants promotion of 100.00 off a set of 4 tires. The man on the phone at the goodyear store the night of April 6th 2017 was not very receptive to matching the price OR even explaining the price match guarantee when asked repeatedly how the price match guarantee worked. He was reasonably polite however I felt like I was buying a car from used car a dealer with a plaid jacket rather than a set of tires. He actually said to me that my quote was not the actual total when I had it right on paper in front of me from Merchants. This is typically the point where a person hangs up a phone and says forget it! However, I wanted to give him the chance at the business and goodyear was offering a rebate through the store purchase for a set of 4 tires. Thats the only reason I was tolerating these antics. Well, needless to say, I never did get a straight answer and was purposefully put on hold, had to call back and finally let him know that he lost my business. He then called me back and I had to ask him not to call me anymore as I would consider it harassment. I have to say... It was BY FAR, the worst experience I have had trying to get a very simple and straight answer from someone after being honest with them on the prices I was quoted by reputable companies, not side-shops. MY RECOMMENDATION; STEER-CLEAR OF THE GOODYEAR SHOP IN ELLICOTT CITY MARYLAND. Save the frustration for when you buy a USED car at a dealership. That was the extent of it. Shop around for your tires, prices vary significantly. Its sad they are not even close to each-other in price and we need to do that as customers. Unfortunately, places like this still exist. **** I obviously too the time to write this review to help the community and share a very poor experience I had that should have never taken place if the worker was well-informed or better educated on pricing policies so he could be more honest with me instead of negotiating like a used car salesman running around my very simple, reasonable AND polite questions.
Their internet reservation system doesnt work. The store didnt do enough to help with the problem, even though I made the reservation.
Had an appointment. They told me they did not have the time to do the alignment that was scheduled even though I requested it when I set up the appointment. Then they told me they couldnt find the tires that they were going to put on the tires. Ask them to request a comparable tire and they did not have those either. What a waste of time.
Ive been to this Goodyear several times now. The very first time was to repair a tire that had a screw in it. They patched me up and sent me on my way (for free). I didnt even have Goodyear tires on the car. So when it came time to get new tires, this is where I went for all 3 vehicles. When installing tires on my wifes Explorer they noticed the right rear shock was leaking. I took the vehicle straight to Ford since this was covered under warranty. Ive mostly had the pleasure of dealing with Eric. I never feel pressured to buy something I dont need. Eric gives you your options, the pros of each and then a recommendation. I recently was given a loaner rental. Dont you know a tire had a screw in it. I just took it over to Goodyear and this time I had the pleasure of working with Ken. Again, they patched me up and sent me on my way (for free). I wont need tires for awhile, but when I do I will be going to Goodyear. Hopefully the one in Ellicott City.
Never had a problem there, would recommend them to anyone
Scheduled an appointment 24 hours in advance for an oil change, showed up at the correct location and I wasnt in the system. Really disorganized scheduling, wont be coming back
They are knowledgeable and they explained verywell on what is causing the vibration and waht are the recommendations.Appreciate your service Ken.
Excellent service & so far so good on the work. Would leave 4 stars as it was a little pricey by my KY standards, but they worked to find some relevant coupon discounts.
Fast, clean, efficient.
Worst experience yet!!...dropped my car off to have an alignment done at 7:00am. still had not got to it by 1:30 that afternoon!!...waste of time!!
Weve been having our cars serviced here for years
Quick proffesional service
Excellent people, great service.
They fixed my tire that had a nail in it!
Our appointment was at 1, but they didnt start working on our car until 3:30.
Painfully slow service, despite having an appointment! Were talking HOURS to change a single tire. Wouldnt recommend it.
Always very honest with their services
Always professional!
Great service
Great
Always friendly, helpful, fast, and affordable!
