We ordered a sectional 6 months ago and finally received a delivery confirmation 2 days ago. Called today to confirm again (after receiving 4 different confirmation calls) and the delivery was put on hold because it hasnt been checked into the warehouse yet (??). Terrible communication and delivery notifications from West Elm. Sales in the store will show you the fabric samples but we found better deals when looking for ourselves online. We will not be ordering from them again.
Don’t waste your time coming to this location, try North Loop instead. Employees are unbelievably rude and unhelpful.
Really nice modern furniture built with quality and it wont completely crush your budget.
They called 4 times to confirm our delivery and then after missing the delivery window we called only to be informed that the delivery was delayed. Their supply chain is horrendous and based on the reviews I’ve read, this was an issue for West Elm long before Covid. Unfortunately costumer service isn’t any better and now after rearranging our living room and taking time off work for the delivery we have to wait indefinitely for them to reschedule. Highly recommend avoiding West Elm.
Helped me with several items to stage my home for sale. Love the this store! Design team was so helpful.
What ever you do, dont buy from ANY West Elm store. Every bad review you have read about custom ordering furniture from West Elm is absolutely true.Purchased a couch on April 16.Told it would be 8-10 weeks before it would arrive.Ok.Got a call yesterday to schedule a delivery. Scheduled delivery for the next day.The day of delivery, received a call from Armando telling us that it was a mistake to call us and schedule the delivery. What they were supposed to do was call and say they LOST the couch.Wait, what? How do you lose a couch? I mean, seriously. When we called customer service to find out how this would be remedied, the offered STORE CREDIT.Cmon. Get Real. This is a complete scam.
Nice store but both times I went in no one ever greets or ask if you need anything. They just look at you and walk away. This is a high end store and I believe employees should show a little bit more good energy when a customer walks in. Trust me you will get more business that way because I myself was hoping someone might help me suggest stuff for my new apartment.
I hate writing negative reviews but I wish I had been warned. Take from it what you will. I love shopping in this store for things they have IN STOCK but DO NOT recommend ordering anything custom. To best tell my story here is a timeline of what I have experienced. Please understand that dates may be fluid based off of phone and email receipts as I was not logging the experience since I was not anticipating that being a need. But all dates should be within a couple of days if fact checked.8/10/20 Order placed in store, told I would receive my table as it was in stock in a weeks time (which I did) but the couch delivery would be between 11/25/20-12/08/2010/2/2020 Called by retail support that my couch was on a truck on its way from Tupelo, Mississippi but may take up to 3 weeks to arrive10/7/2020 Called by retail support that the truck will be arriving in Minnesota (my home) on Friday and I will be contacted when it gets scanned in to set up delivery within the week**At this point we went ahead and made arrangements to get rid of our existing furniture to make room for the couch that would be coming.10/9/2020 Called by retail support and was told this was not the call I was anticipating but that they had actually lost my sofa along the way and it had not arrived with the truck. Now begins the journey of “expediting” my order.10/16/2020 Called by retail support that my replacement will “drop” on the expedited line in 24 to 48 hours and should take 10-15 days to complete production. I was also told this would be in my living room NO LATER THAN 12/1811/4/2020 I called my retail support contact to see if it was on its way as it had been over the 15 days for production and she told me she would check on it and get back to me11/6/2020 Called by retail support that she is waiting to hear back and will keep me in the loop12/8/2020 Called by retail support to inform me that not only had my couch never been put into production but the fabric is now back ordered until early January 2021 and my new estimated delivery date is 2/8/21 - 2/22/21. I expressed my deep disappointment and was told I would be given 10-40% back in store credit.1/5/2021 I receive an email that my order has been delayed and the delivery date now reads 3/22/21-4/5/21 …. 8 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASED.My order remains pending...I have sent this to their corporate office and hope to hear a response. I will update when I hear back from them.
Well other than the part that you need to pay for shipping. This store is brilliant. the moment you enter you smell the fantastic oceanic aroma. things are unique, I know it is pricy but well thats for the quality.
I ordered a desk and book shelf since March. Received a damaged shelf (waiting on replacement) and had to reschedule the desk delivery twice (due to cancel delivery or no idea where the items is). The contract delivery company Ryder is clueless nor does the west elm team can assist due to confusion.I am still waiting for my furniture..... on month number 3....this is very frustrating...
I love coming to this store! The sales associates went above and beyond; trying to help me find a very specific pillow cover that got clearanced out online, no online ship to home or ship to store, it wasn’t available. She printed me a list of all the stores in the country with that pillow in inventory, and I’d just purchase over the phone. Wouldn’t you know it there were 5 stores left in the country with this pillow cover, and I called all of them and got the last one!! In the whole country! All thanks to the delightful sales associate at the West Elm Edina, thank you!!
Couch arrived months and months and months late and broken. have had no resolution. worst experience ever
Placed a large order with them buying all the furniture for our bedroom and living room. Every single item was either damaged or we had a delivery issue. We had to bring back a large heavy dresser ourselves because even though it had a big crack they still refused to send their crew to get it. Our living room furniture was delayed by several weeks, then their crew arrived and some of the items were missing. Another delay, so they suggested we go to the store and buy these items since they had them in stock. We did just that and then a week later they shipped us the same item, charged us for it and then again they made us bring it back. They couldnt accept it though and made us come back yet again because the guy that accepts returns was not at work. They gave us some rewards for opening the card so while we were fed up with them, we needed to still spend the rewards since it was quite a bit of money. We ordered a table and it arrived with a huge crack so after waiting 2 months we were at square one with it. We also ordered a planter and a bowl so we can spend our rewards and forget about this joke of a store but even these two items are now 3 weeks delayed. Seriously, dont order anything from them - its overpriced, arrives damaged all the time and you will be waiting forever.
I came here looking for a specific floor lamp, coffee table, and accent table that Ive been eyeing online. Store was busier than I cared for and none of the sales people acknowledged me, so I ended up leaving empty-handed.
Believe the reviews. Delivery estimates are bogus. Your items will arrive weeks or even months LATE. Customer service will make every excuse to justify the delay (weather, truck broke down, the courier went on strike).
I can count on terrible customer service every single time whether it’s in person, on the phone or online. I’ve never been pleasantly surprised otherwise. I think it’s time to part ways with doing business with this company, sadly, because I love their stuff.
Frustrating experience getting delivery on items from West Elm. Ordered in November for delivery date prior to holidays. We were notified it was delayed until January and in January only 1/2 of items shipped. Remaining items delayed until February. February came and only 1 of 2 remaining items were received. Currently still waiting for last item, now with estimated arrival of April, 5 months after initial order.
Have always had good experience here. Service is good and so has been quality of everything we have purchased.
Fun store. Nice displays. A little pricey for young homeowners budget.
Online customer service and delivery is atrocious. West Elm blames the local delivery company but does nothing to help remedy the VERY delayed delivery date. Calling the delivery company leads you to a full voicemail. They are impossible to get ahold of and even schedule the (delayed) delivery. Incompetence on both sides. I will not buy from here again.Upholstered cream colored bed came out of the truck without any covering and dirty. Assembly was only partial.
This location deserves 0 star but needs to put one to comment. Bought $$$$ of bedroom stuff. Lady who assisted was nice but we got transferred to a curly haired caucasian lady that rushed as while still choosing for the best item. We went home with lots of item. As we checked what we have, one item is in a wrong size. We went back the next day. Assisted by another lady who never cared and insisted that if we want the item, we have to pay for shipping since size is not available in-store. I complained saying its the associate’s mistake but insisted they can’t do anything. Okay, we agreed to pay for shipping since we don’t wanna strip our whole bed set just to much that one piece, she ordered item online. We went home as we check online, the item was not the right item (put a wrong code). At the store, we showed her the returned item and told her that we need a different size with the same design. What a waste of time coming back and forth to that store and orders still wrong.Associates needs to know what they’re selling and not just give you the wrong one.The experience was a DISASTER! NEVER AGAIN! We called customer service and cancelled the order. Ordered it ourselves. They still owe us $15 ( over charged) but decided not to get that refund since we have to go back to the store and deal with this BS.
Products were not available. The products that did come were poorly packaged and arrived in 100’s of pieces. I suggest shopping else where.
Good Customer Service.Sherri Mccallum, has been a pleasant person to deal with, she greeted us and made sure that we had a good experience. We just recently brought a 2 chairs for dining, which will arrive this end November. Reasonable price as well. I just hope those chairs will last long. Just would like to add an info, if you are planning to buy a furniture, there will be added shipping cost( even for pickups) if its not on stock.Update: Our chair is still not available, delay.
Search quality and delivery issue history with West Elm....they’ve not improved. The experience was a complete frustrating waste of time. I thought this was a quality brand but have found that opposite to be true. I honestly think this review is a public service announcement....counts as my good deed for the day. Purchase was around 3k and over the course of 6 months they couldn’t deliver an undamaged set. In earlier years I’ve picked up sets off Craigslist of better delivery quality. Buyer beware- their products are cute but garbage. No communication, miscommunication, delays...on and on. They refunded me 100% but Ive lost probably 10/12 HOURS of time dedicated to this circus that I can’t get back.
We ordered a large amount of furniture right after Thanksgiving 2019. When our order arrived in February 2020, we received the wrong couch. It took hours on the phone and in person at the West Elm store in Edina, MN and no one could figure out where our couch was or how we received a couch that wasn’t even a West Elm couch. So, a new order was put in and we were supposed to receive a new couch in April 2020. The couch was delivered this morning and it was WRONG again. We have been on the phone all day and again, no one can figure out why we received a different, wrong couch. This is utterly ridiculous and I would like a resolution immediately.
We have bought a handful of furniture from West Elm. They have tables, chairs, outdoor furniture, table settings, serving ware, and much more. It is good quality. Our dining room table has lasted 8 years and found it on sale for less than $1,000. I would recommend this place for trendy people who are looking for modern furniture.
Will never shop here again. Unless you’re okay with waiting centuries for your product to arrive- don’t waste your time. Overpriced anyway
Didn’t want to believe all the 1* ratings. Went in to purchase a coffee table that is 30% off online. Was told it would only be 20% off plus $150 for shipping !!This place really doesn’t care Stay clear
Great customer support with an online return! Thank you, Missy for making it such an easy and enjoyable experience!
Can always find something unique for my home here. A little spendy but the quality is good.
This place has the worst customer service! There is a snobby vibe with most of the employees. I was in there two hours and was not approached once by any employee. When I finally picked out a few items and was paying is when I finally was able to inquire about the two big items I wanted to purchase, a sofa and a rug. I decided to not to spend more money at this location because of the lack of customer service. Instead, I went Room and Board up the street. Really annoying that I drove an hour from Rochester for this.
I was supposed to receive my mid-century furniture almost a month ago and I am still waiting. Even after swallowing the $300+shipping and processing fee even though they advertised free shipping on the July 4 Sale. What a terrible experience I will steer anyone looking for furniture away from West Elm.
We bought a lot of home accents (throw pillows, blankets, and two rugs) from there. Good selection of stylish inexpensive home furnishings. Definitely worth a trip if your in the market for home decor.
Id say the 1 star is fair because I love the products. However, the customer service is awful, very poor. Will never shop at West Elm again.
Great place for modern furniture!
Rudest staff ever.
Absolutely one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. We debated over tables The weekend of Black Friday and finally decided on a beautiful option from West Elm - the box drop leaf table in mango. We chose this item over a few other tables from other companies which were also discounted that holiday weekend, and were excited to use it over the holiday season. Table was ordered 11/24 & promised delivery on 12/8.Needless to say, it’s now 1/28 and we STILL have no table. I’ve spent over 3.5 hours on the phone with a completely ineffective customer service team over the course of 6 phone calls. Since the initial order, the delivery was delayed 3 times, and the last we heard, the table was supposed to be delivered on 1/3. I have had no updates on our order since 12/28. I find this absolutely ridiculous, and what is much worse is that our bank account has been charged and refunded THREE times during this timeframe, with no communication from West Elm that the charge was coming or being redacted. In their favor, the company offered to refund the delivery fee, and then offered an additional 10% off given the delays (there was an initial discount - again, we ordered over Black Friday weekend for a reason).I am furious because we never would have bought this table had we known it wouldn’t be here. Now customer service has predicted February or potentially July as delivery dates. Friday after 20+ minutes on the phone with them, the rep told me a supervisor would call back before midnight; however, I have yet to receive that call. Saturday the rep told me they have up to 48 hours to respond. It is now Monday and I haven’t received any response. I am sick and tired of dealing with this terrible company, and very disappointed with their response. I would happily cut ties and go with a table from another company; however, the $300 we would have saved would we have ordered the table then is prohibitive.I can’t stress enough - this company, while they make beautiful pieces, is the WORST at fulfilling their promises.
Ordered online. Was sent the wrong items. Now they say I’ll receive the items in 5 months. Now they want me to go out in the middle of a pandemic to get a box and ship it back to them. This company has no morals and doesn’t appreciate customers or their health.
The store is pretty, they do not have many people to assist you (which is expected for stores like this), but the day I was there with my husband we had a great experience. That woman who helped us after we waited a little bit in the line was really good, answered all of my questions, made sure to let me know what items we would have to order online and which ones we could take home from the store. Nothing to complain. People just need to have patience as I said because you might not have a lot of people working there and just hanging around waiting to help. It is more like a fancy home goods store where you will be there on your own until you are ready to go to cashiers and ask about what you want to buy. No big deal for me at all. I actually prefer that than having someone all over me like in some furniture stores...
Wasnt up to the expectation. We were looking for a firm cushioned sofa and they do not have anything displayed on the floor. Will check again and see if they have more to offer.
Unfortunately, can confirm this place has the worst customer service, but this is the exact same experience I had at other West Elm stores. The snootiness is almost palpable... for a store thats not even that great. No one acknowledges you at all. I guess I didnt look like a customer... Well there goes your chance to sell me $5000 sectional... Just kidding, the quality is also lacking & I will not step my foot in there again.
I decided to pop into West Elm today as I was in the area. I was looking to see if an item I saw online was in store. I walked around the entire store looking for the item and not a single employee said hi, smiled or asked if I needed help finding something. Not what you would expect from a higher end home goods store. Honestly more employees in the home goods section at Target ask if you need help finding something. I guess I will just stick to buying home decor at Target!
This company has numerous logistics problems. You put something in your cart online, its not available to ship to your area or its out of stock. You order two pillows, one has to be picked up in store, one is shipped. I recently ordered a couch and paid $200 to ship. They choose a terrible third party shipping company that has awful service with a 1 star Google rating to spend weeks delivering it to you. It took over a month to get it.
My adult daughter and I were never approached. Apparently all of their 1 star reviews are not important to make any changes. We were stared at on several occasions, but they were too busy being engaged with another employee. How does this store stay in business? A tax right off?
No stars at all. Forced me to give one to submit.Amazingly bad service. At the store, after really loving a rug they did not have in stock, we said wed shop around a little. Before the words shop around were out of my mouth, the sales assistant had walked away and was yelling at another shopper can I help you? Wont go back to that store.Ended up ordering the rugs (x2) off the West Elm website. Got an automated call Monday asking us to call to schedule delivery or pickup. Tried calling everyday, 2 - 3 times a day. Despite delivery service promising a call back within 24 hours, never received a call back - now on day 3. Tried escalating, all to no avail. Even though the rugs are less than 5 miles away, I am not allowed to pick them up. No ability to schedule delivery.Cancelling order. Taking my $1,000+ elsewhere. Congratulations West Elm / Williams Sonoma. Lost customer.
This store really confuses me. Like others have mentioned, online shipping is very pricey and never matches their guide. The store is lovely to walk through but Ive always been ignored, had long waits, and sometimes rude experiences at the register. Watch out for their clearance section...many of the items are damaged but not labeled as such. The company needs to work on customer service as a whole. 😕
Staff is very nice. I wanted to see something in person that I found at their online store, but couldnt find it. Then they were eager to help me.
Good selection of design stuff, really just went to check out the Casper mattress. Staff were nice, not at all pushy
Love the store and have had great service in the store. Returns online are a joke. I have been dealing with trying to get my return credited for over a month and a half. all I get on the phone is im sorry and it will take another 7-10 business days. I can guarantee I will not EVER purchase something from west elm online again.
Great service. Whoever says otherwise clearly didnt actually walk in the store. Very friendly, willing to explore options, and want u to find great decor.
Lovely new age furniture shop. Good stuff, new age, pricey but still affordable as compared to Room and Board or RH or DWR.
Called for a quick question on how to care for a light I purchased. Was on hold for 10 minutes and finally hung up. :(
Do not order furniture from this store. The customer service at this store is horrendous. I ordered a bed in June to be delivered to the store for me to pick up. I was told it would take 3 weeks to arrive. After the 4th week, I called the store to get a status update. Not even the manager would tell me what happened to the bed, but it wasnt there and wasnt going to be delivered to the store. The manager offered to have it delivered to my house, which I accepted. I was told it would be ready in 2 weeks for delivery. After 3 weeks, I called the store and they informed me I should have a in less than 5 days. Today, I called the store after a week and they told me it wouldnt be ready for another week. I am currently still on hold with the store (and have been for an hour and 13 minutes) waiting.
I recently visited this store in order to return an online order. While I have been to this store before and received good customer service for returns (asking if Id like to look around, offering to help me, moving people through the register quickly) this time I had my 18 month old son with me. I think these people hate children. I held my son as I entered the store and after seeing the register had two customers being helped, I looked around the store for a moment. This was a weekday evening. No sales person acknowledged my presence, despite seeing 2 employees walking around the store. When my son became squirmy, I brought us over the register area, put him down, and took a firm hold of his hand to ensure he did not go anywhere near the many breakables in the store. He made a small sound of disgust and I let him sit on the floor and play with my purse while we waited. He made no other noise. No one spoke to me, the registers didnt acknowledge I was waiting or tell me it would be a minute, and the other customers gave me disgusted looks. I squatted down on the floor with my son, keeping him from leaving my stuff all over the floor, while I waited as it was now going >5 minutes since we came to the registers. Finally, what appeared to be a manager appeared and asked in a snotty way if there was something she could help me with. At this point, I told her I had an online return to make, and passed her the bag, explaining that the receipt was in the bag. She began to make the return in the back corner of the register area as I got my son together and picked him up to begin the return. She didnt talk to me except to hand me the return, tell me it was all done. I tried making a joke about kids, she frowned at me instead. She didnt ask if there was anything else she could do for me, in fact, she disappeared as soon as she was done with my return. As I left with my son, the employees and customers I passed gave us dirty glances. My son didnt even make any noise or trouble! I felt very insulted by their treatment - I certainly could afford West Elm and in the past have liked the quality of their merchandise. I will not be shopping with West Elm anymore if this is how they treat people with even well-behaved children.
Good looking furniture that’s way too expensive for the quality. Dining room table broke 2 months in. I’ll update review if they help.
The staff seems more interested in shifting merchandise than engaging with shoppers.
Do not order furniture from West Elm. They will charge your credit card and NEVER deliver it. I order a sofa March 12. They gave me a delivery window of April 30 to May 2. Those dates came and passed with NO communication from West Elm. I called them May 8 to ask where it was. They essentially didnt know but said the delivery company would be receiving it soon and I should receive a call by May 14. May 14 cam and went. No call. No email. No communication. I call again on May 17, they said the delivery company had received it and would be calling me within 23 hours. May 18 came and went. May 19 came and went. May 20 came and went. May 21 cam and went. I called today, May 22, they told me again I would be receiving a call soon for delivery. I requested a refund because I no longer want the sofa due to the horrible customer service. I do not want to spend my money at a company who cannot even communicate with me (cannot communicate via phone, email nor text, nothing). I am going to call my credit card company and request they put a stop payment on the charges. When I called I had to go through an extensive phone tree to get to a person and that person could not solve my problem and I had to be transferred to furniture. Furniture blamed it on the delivery company. I was never given a person to talk to at the delivery company, They also refused to give me the delivery companies name or phone number so I could call directly. I was always just told the furniture delivery company would call me back within 24 hours. I never received a call from the delivery company. Horrible.Vote with your dollars and dont patronize the company.
Was in the store on 1/2 and saw a bookshelf we wanted. No one ever asked us if we needed help. The line at the register was way too long. I needed to go to a meeting. Went back into the store today 1/3 and the bookshelf I wanted to buy was no longer on sale and was moved to a new location in the store. I stood around for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to help me, I finally flagged down an associate. The associate asked me if I had a question as if I was totally inconveniencing his day... there were 5 at least 5 people in the store, three of them were assembling new furniture. I asked the associate about the display model sale from 1/2, he turned and asked another associate assembling furniture about the sale price, the other associate said Were keeping it. This was my first and last attempt at buying anything from West Elm. Really sorry I inconvenienced you!
We ordered our couch in August. It’s almost December. And not one update from West Elm. Won’t be buying furniture here ever again.
Horrible service. Very unorganized. Do not buy from here. Terrible experience after waiting over half hour for anybody to help.
HORRIBLE customer service at the Edina location. I went in looking to purchase quite a few pieces (rug, lamps, coffee table, bench), and no one offered to assist let alone even said Hello, welcome to the store. This isnt the first time Ive experienced this at this particular location....just the just time I decided to post on it. Love West Elm products in store....just need to train employees on quality customer service at the Edina location. Off to Room & Board I go!!
I love west elm. Parking is a little tough at this location but we got a great couch and room accessories.
Great designs. Very expensive for the quality
Really like their selections online but the staff here never seen to be all that welcoming. Recently picked up an online order and the woman at checkout was in no hurry to help or direct us to the outside pick up location. We had never done a pick up so we were unfamiliar with the procedure which only seemed to annoy her further. I will likely order again but limit my visits to online only.
I love West Elm. I dont love the parking situation. I dont think this lot has enough parking spots for the businesses that share it.
Ok. Didnt find what we needed
They have dedicated West Elm only parking in a lot that is ALWAYS packed. Its extremely discourteous to other shoppers and a ridiculous expectation altogether. Wish I could give 0 stars, would never recommend.
Bought a dining set that went on sale the day mine was delivered. They do not give the sale price like any other store would. Disappointing and they earned themselves a customer that won’t be returning.
We were walking our dog at Lake Centennial and stumbled on this store. The associates were welcoming and let us and our dog in. We liked a chaise and placed an order. Order is expected to be delivered within 3 weeks. My experience with the store was decent (not the best for sure), but I would expect more for the premium we are paying for that product.I had concerns with their pricing. Although, there was a sale online, we were not informed at the store. We had to do our research and compare store with online prices and thats when they did a price match. Our designer had made some good suggestions and was nice, but I feel that the products are a little overpriced and the prices are not consistent with the online pricing
Theres almost always a sale. Feels like a warehouse some times, but good deals arent hard to find.
After repeated poor experiences with both West Elm and this location I felt I had to leave a review. I want to state this upfront, I love the products West Elm sells and the nice balance of quality/price they offer. However, both the store and the brand as a whole are impossible to deal with.Attempting to completely refurnish our living room (couch, chairs, rug, tables, lighting), we met with a West Elm designer. She was aloof, forgot to return calls and was almost always unprepared for our in person meetings. Upon finally deciding on what we wanted to order we kept running into items that were: No longer available, Temporarily Discontinued or just plain errord out in the checkout process both on the website staff used as well as consumers.Out of pure frustration we took our business down the road to Room & Board, and, while we know we payed a premium our experience was lightyears ahead of what West Elm offered.Update, May 2017: I have no idea why I went back to West Elm again, but surprise, surprise...still a complete mess. We ordered a print that we loved and after no shipping updates for 2 weeks they called us to inform us that manufacturing issues? would mean they were no longer able to send us that product.
Love visiting West Elm for inspiration and decorating advice.
I like west elms vibe overall, their retail space gets very busy on the weekends
Absolutely intolerable customer service at this location. The can honestly care less if they jeep my business or not. The online experience is a bot better considering delays and overpriced shipping but at least I dont have to deal with rude service. Dissapointed, yet again.
Bought the king size storage bed. Paid 3 times the price I would have for a platform storage bed at Ikea. For that price I discovered it was simply cheap particle board and lamanent that started to peel at the first sign of moisture. After I assembled the bed 3 of the drawers would not stay shut. They would always drift open. I called the store and they said they could not help me and that the product was not defective. Now I am reminded every morning when I get up what a rip off outfit West Elm is I trip over the drawers that continuously drift open. I will never shop here again.
I was trying to find a floor lamp that I had seen online, or at least compare the different finishings. It wasnt exceedingly busy, but not a single employee stopped to help me. I asked someone at the counter about the lamp and she couldnt even tell me if it was on the floor or not. I ended up walking out with no lamp and no answers on the lamp finishings to even buy it online. The customer service here is horrible.
Lots of things I would love to buy
HORRIBLE online shopping experience(s). HORRIBLE. Ill discuss my most recent experience in detail first and then will briefly describe some others of the past (should have learned my lesson). My wife ordered a leather chaise sectional online. The ship by date moved back a couple of times (by 1-2 weeks each time), which initially made me nervous and annoyed. Upon contacting customer service, we were told that part of the order had shipped (our credit card was then charged the $3,500.00). After another week, we contacted the shipper and were told that they were still waiting on the remainder of our order and they would contact us when it arrived to schedule delivery. After another week or two, we again contacted customer service and were told that the portion of our order was no longer being made in the color we ordered. WTF?!?! Then why did you take my order in the first place, why did you charge my freaking credit card, and why do I have to contact you to find this factoid out 6 weeks after ordering? Almost unbelievable. Almost. In the past we ordered a long curtain rod that arrived (long after it was promised) with missing brackets. Attempted to get correct brackets sent to us, and they again sent the wrong ones. First they said they couldnt send me a whole new rod because they were discontinued. Then they ended up sending me a whole new rod, which I returned to the store because Id already hung the original rod using the wrong bracket (it ended up working ok, but not like its supposed to). Before that, we ordered a fairly large framed print. It showed up with shattered glass. They resent and, to no surprise, the glass was shattered again. I understand that this is probably the shippers fault, but cmon, get your stuff together. We ended up just asking for a refund after going through the hassle of shipping it back twice. While Im complaining, you dont have the option to ship West Elm furniture to the store. So, you are forced to pay shipping charges, which for most other places would not be incurred since you can have them ship to the store/warehouse and pick the items up yourself (to avoid paying for obscene shipping charges).
Ordered chairs two months ago, we were told they would take two weeks. Not sure of well ever receive them.
Im so mad. I waited two months to get a dining room table and it came and it was not the table in the picture. The legs in the picture are in the corner and in reality they are closer to the middle of the table making it impossible to fit the 8 chairs they sold me. I have to start over! How could they possibly post a picture of a different table....so misleading.
Lovely staff, store is clean and organized.
Like the stuff, but never in stock, or broken or damaged. Frustrating on many occasions.
Experience wasnt bad, a little expensive though and incredibly poor quality.
A fun selection of home decor.
Love their items but lack of service. Every timeChecking out takes 10 minutes for any associate to help.
West Elm in Edina has the worst parking situation. Drive around the lots three times and left because there was no spots anywhere.
Not impressed. OVERPRICED and low quality
This place is the worst! Was supposed to receive an item and it kept getting backordered!!! Ugh never buying from them again!!!
Awesome stuff here, but spendy.
Nice store
This is the first time order as well as the last time. Disappointed.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Very friendly and helpful.
Its a decent store
This location is okay. It does seem if you arent dressed like a snob, they dont care to help you without you chasing them down, though.
They took our money and then never delivered the furniture we ordered. Its been two months and we are still waiting. Calling the store is a disaster as well.
Nice comfortable place
Crappy couches, rude staff. Need I say more.
Horrible customer service!! Lady kept tossing my receipts to me versus handing it to me. She should not be working there of all places since she treats customers like that.
Beautiful furniture.
