The Service at Flow was amazing. Eli Lopez is absolutely the BEST !My GTI had an engine malfunction light come on and I needed to make a 7 hour drive to attend my fathers funeral. After 16 years, it was time for a new car. I did most of my research online, and unlike most all ofter dealerships I contacted, they did not hesitate when I asked for out-the-door pricing. When I visited the site to finalize financing and drop off my trade in, they were friendly, informative, and helpful. I will be referring all of my friends to see him if theyre in the market for a car. If they dont have it on the lot, they probably can pull it in from any of the Flow dealerships statewide.
If you want to be completely swindled, this is the place for you. I’m sure that they are excellent with their sales, as I see nothing but good reviews, but NEVER go with their service department for general services or for true repairs. I suggest you find any other repair shop for your needs with your car. The front desk staff is perfectly nice and are only doing their jobs, but the place is crooked with its pricing. I was quoted 800 and some dollars when I asked for a text conformation for my services. Upon picking up my car, they failed to mention that it was the price for HALF of the services and that my new total was 1800 dollars. The poor man at the desk did have to deal with my frustration and tried to explain and help but both myself and my partner have enough background to know that the services done in no way should have cost as much. I will never be returning for any needs to this dealership. Save your money.

I had a great experience at Flow! I went in looking for a used Tiguan and test drove one that I liked. When I came back the manager Mark had another one pulled up front that was a year newer (2019) with only 9,000 miles! And it was the fun habanero color which I love! So it was a no brainer to go with the one that was one year newer and had 20,000 miles less than the 2018! This Tiguan looks like it just came out of the showroom! Its gorgeous! Thanks to Mark for making sure I knew all of my options and for working with me on my trade so that I really got a great deal!

Kristina drove all the way to Winston to bring a car we were only curious about, and didnt end up purchasing. She and Verlinda made the whole process of buying a car as pleasant as it can be. We stopped by about a month ago to check out VW’s for my husband and we loved the Taos. He ended up going a different direction, but I couldn’t stop thinking about that Taos, and we enjoyed talking to Artur. I contacted him last week and he worked diligently to find the trim and color I wanted and helped us get a great deal. No pressure and no drama. Artur knows his VW stuff and a nice guy to boot! After facing an unexpected family emergency, we were forced to trade in our car for a new one at the peak of the car shortage. As you can imagine this was stressful in itself, but the people at Flow worked hard to make the process as seamless as possible. Not only were they able to get us the car we wanted for cheaper than we wanted, but they were able to get the car transferred from the dealership in Asheville, saving us a day’s worth of driving with two young children. During this process we had called around to a few other dealerships, and our requests/questions were met with bad attitudes and condescension. The people at Flow were kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. Special thanks to Michael, Mark and Chavis.
The sales department is ok which is to expected when they are trying to sell you a car. Now the service department is another story. First let me go back to the so called warranty I was sold at the time of purchase, presented by the loan manager as a safety net for unexpected repairs, anything but more on that later. The car a 2016 VW Tiguan oil pressure warning message came up on Friday, called around to local dealerships in the Raleigh area. Was told by two dealerships that they would not honor the warranty, so the car had to be taken back to flow. Called and was told to bring the car in Monday at 0745, due to the nature of the repair could not drive the car. Called warranty for towing said it cost 200 dollars to have it towed, then called back and they said the could not find the warranty at all. Paid out of pocket to have the car towed to Durham from Raleigh, tow truck driver put the car in a space at the dealership. Called about 10 am to see if the started on the car, informed by the service tech Eli that they could not find the car. Hours later after calling the towing company who confirmed that the car was in fact taken to the dealer and key dropped in the box, they found the car. By that time it was to late for them to start so now Tuesday the car would be ready. Tuesday after calling Eli several times he said that they were behind and that it would now be Wed. Wednesday on this day the warranty was the issue Eli said that they could not find any warranty information. A copy of the warranty that they sold me was in the car on the front drivers seat. He finally found that and for about four hours there was a back and forth about waiting for the warranty company to call back. By this time I asked to speak with the manager who stated that the service department does not sell the warranty which I took as a very rude response to a customer of the dealership. The time was three and I knew that would be another day which by the time Eli called back it was after his mechanics had gone for the day. He also said the part or labor was not covered, this at the time of sale was presented as bumper to bumper. Now its Thursday and this has taken 4 days of phone tag and the run around. I would most definitely not buy another vehicle from flow. The service department hasshown bad customer service and the warranty the was sold was useless.

I was reviewing several cars, and he answered questions. If he didnt know, he found an answer and sent it to me.Purchase experience: There was no pressure at all during the sale. (Unlike another dealership who said Well, I have a lot of other people interested in this car... Fine. Sell it.)The purchase price I received was an excellent deal and they gave me a generous amount on my trade-in.The finance people were also knowledgeable.Post-purchase: Artur has followed up with me several times to see if I had any questions.Overall experience:* Excellent customer service, pre- and post-sale.* Fantastic people who genuinely care about your experience and are passionate about the vehicles.Highly recommended.
I SPOKE TO JASON RAMEY WHO IS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF FLOW VW .I HAD CALLED TO SEE IF I COULD COME DOWN TO HAVE SOMEONE HELP ME NAVIGATE THE OPERATION OF THE RADIO ON MY 2018 VW TIGUAN I HAD RECENTLY PURCHASED FROM CARVANA.BECAUSE I DIDNT PURCHASE THE CAR FROM THEM, AND THEY WOULD NOT NOT MAKE ANY MONEY HELPING ME THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME WITH THE RADIO.I ASKED IF THEY ONLY SERVICE CARS THAT THEY SELL AND HE COULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME AN ANSWER.AT THIS POINT MY TIGUAN DOES NOT NEED ANY SERVICE BUT I WILL NEVER USE FLOW VW. IF THEY CANT HELP ME WHEN I JUST NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE ( THAT COST THEM NOTHING) WHY WOULD I EVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS.

Horrible experience selling my car to this JV operation. I bought and financed my VW Jetta from them in 2018 under a different owner. Upon finding out my wife and I were relocating to Japan on military orders, I decided to sell my car back to them, thinking it would be smooth. They came in under the CarMax price but agreed to come up with no hassle. After signing all the paperwork and handing over the keys, I was told I would receive a check in the mail two weeks later after the title from VW finance/DOT arrived. While I was annoyed that this was not disclosed till after all documents were signed, I was in no rush for the cash. The 4th week after the sale I still did not have a check, and my car was listed for sale on the site, despite them claiming they didnt have the title. Upon speaking to the GM, he claimed they still didnt have the title despite me conferring with the DOT that it was sent 3 weeks prior. Eventually, it took a complaint to the state AG, and my title magically appeared that day. Sold my wifes car at CarMax, despite missing the physical title due to movers accidentally packing it to Japan, walked out with a check that day. We will not be doing business with Flow when we return.

Just like Leith, Flow VW has lied to me when I specifically informed them I need a service loaner. They promised they would reserve one for my appointment which was scheduled a week in advance to assure availability. When I arrived I was told they are only given to customers with cars that have recalls. Why would you promise me a vehicle on the phone just to tell me this in person? You simply want me to bite the bullet and accept your service anyways since I already made the drive. It is rude to lie to your customers and worse to not try and reschedule me or make it up to me. Instead they sent me on my way as if I was at fault.
My wife and I bought a Honda Civic a few months back and absolutely love the car we bought. Was able to walk in, test drive, trade in our old car, & drive home in our new car all in a matter of hours. Made an appointment online. Got a call saying they had no appointments for weeks. I can’t wait that long, so I decide to go elsewhere. Meanwhile, they start sending both me and members of my family spam emails and texts. I don’t recall even giving them my family’s emails. Why in the world would you start texting and emailing a bunch of nonsense to my family??? It’s incredibly rude!I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve started selling my family’s information to spammers. Well, it would t be the first time some random local company stooped to that.
Almost bought a new Tiguan here. Thank goodness I did not... not only was the vehicle over priced for the give mileage but come to find out with more research the vehicle had been in an accident, of course no one mentioned anything about it. Found the same year vehicle with 5,000 less miles for the same price else where. Buyer beware.
Whether you’re casually car shopping or seriously considering a VW, Steven is your guy. He was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and asked the right questions but never once made me feel pressured. Was able to get in and out quickly to test drive a car and nobody tried to waste my time when I said I wasn’t ready to buy that same day.The physical dealership isn’t as flashy as others nearby which I preferred honestly... process was relatively pain-free for car shopping and I felt fairly treated throughout. Ultimately bought from Flow in part because Steven was so easy to work with.
I am constantly impressed with the service department each time I work with them. They are all very friendly and easy to work with. They explain everything they are doing beforehand so there are no surprises after. I have never had any problems with my car and I owe that to them for their thorough maintenance work. Hard to say enough great things about this dealership. My Subaru forester (with 70k miles on it) broke down in Fayettville and needed a new engine. Impulsively, I went car shopping at Subaru who offered me next to nothing on trade-in value and was completely unwilling to negotiate on pricing for vehicles marked way up. Stopped at Flow on my way home and had the exact opposite experience. Kristina and Verlinda were fantastic and went above and beyond getting me a more than fair trade-in value (nearly double what Subaru was willing to give me), retrieving my dead car at no cost almost 100 miles away, and a great price on a great used Tiguan with no haggling. On top of all that, after everything was said and done, they sweetened the deal with some paint touch-ups, All-weather mats, and even found/returned my sunglasses left behind in my dead Subaru. Im not usually a review guy, but just so impressed with this place and the people that work there. No pressure, no games, great cars, and great prices. Will be going back to Flow for all my future car needs!

Hi there !!I bought a VW Tiguan R-Line last October from this dealership and had a really great experience ! Pete Rubio was my salesperson and he was very friendly and very very helpful. No complaints.
I drove 2.5 hours to come see a vehicle that they said you must see in-person, great condition, hard to find like this one, didnt disclose that anything was wrong with the vehicle. So I drove 2.5 hours to come look at the vehicle that they were asking a premium price for. Turns out paint was chipping all over the vehicle, boots were ripped, vehicle didnt pass inspection including possible catalytic converter fail that they apparently knew nothing about. Ended up wasting me and my brothers entire day which they could have solved with a few pictures and disclosing the issues before making the drive so that I could make an honest assessment. The only reason that this isnt a one star is because they were nice when I was there and didnt drag out the process.
We arrived to Flow knowing little to nothing about Volkswagen. We really did not know what we wanted. However, there we meet Arthur. He is just amazing, thrust worthy man who knows what you want and will help you get it within your budget. Thank you Arthur.

This review reflects the unacceptable “customer service” received by the service department at Flow Durham, specifically the rude and unprofessional behavior by Eli and the service manager, Dan.This does not reflect the compassion shown by Verlinda, who took the time to listen and talk to us after this experience. She would be the ONLY reason I would consider returning to this Flow VW for anything.My 2013 4-cylinder GTI was towed to this location after having the EPC and Check Engine light come on. The car arrived between 9 and 10 AM. By 11:30 AM, my wife was called by Eli (I was held up at work and unavailable) and was informed that the ignition coils and spark plugs would need to be replaced, he estimated the cost would be around $700. Considering we were already in for ~$150 in diagnostic fees and would have to pay to tow it back, my wife approved the work.She then contacted me with the info and quote. After doing some quick research on costs for the same service in the area, I asked if she could call back to get an itemized breakdown of the costs. She called back within 30 minutes and after she asked, he promptly started listing off roughly 10 diagnostic codes, ignoring the question and implied the work was almost done. We were simply trying to understand the cost breakdown because Kelly Blue Book’s Fair Repair range, and other local estimates suggested a total cost of roughly $500 on the high end. My wife wanted to understand how they calculated their labor costs and Eli could not articulate a clear answer. He stated that the labor costs were NOT tied to time. He claimed a repair could take “15-20 minutes” but the labor costs wouldn’t change.Confused, my wife then spoke to the service manager, Dan. When asking him for an itemized breakdown, he answered in a condescending manner. He claimed the costs were what they were because no other place could match their service (authentic parts, 1 yr warranty)... this is simply not true. He even went as far as comparing how much better these labor costs were to BMW and Audi. He claimed “I know it hurts to have to pay this much but once you come pick it up and drive it you’ll be happy.” My wife sensed she was not getting anywhere with this call and while wrapping it up, Dan asked her to “come see me when you pick the vehicle up.”I drove her to go pick the car up, so I decided I would be the one to go see Dan. When we arrived to the service bay, no one acknowledged us, so I got one of the employee’s attention and stated “I would like to talk to the service manager.” Everyone turned to look at me and the employee yelled “this person wants to speak to the service manager.” There was some nervous scattering and then I was directed to the third cubicle. Dan, was cowering behind his computer and did not stand up to greet us. I said “hi, you just spoke to my wife on the phone and asked her to come see you when she picked the car up, that car is mine and I would just like to hear what you have to say.” He said (while staring at my wife) “I just wanted to tell your wife that I’m not just some face in an office.” The irony. I then started my questioning about what I was about to pay for and Dan took the same condescending tone with me that my wife experienced on the phone call earlier. I asked “would YOU pay this amount for this service?” and his response was “well, yeah, I would expect that for my car.” So I ask what kind of car he has and he says “an SS” — an 8 cylinder car!I explain to him the mixed messages we’re getting about labor costs and mentioned that Eli said they weren’t tied to time, yet Dan was saying the opposite. I was getting frustrated and Dan said “you come in here with that attitude and you’re getting it right back.” Eli then shows up, looks at us and says he did not say anything about 15-20 minutes on the phone and threatens that he has a recording. I say, “ok, let’s listen to it then.” Then he backtracked, Dan said “how about this, you can just pay and get out of here.” Eli then started to chuckle and say “I called with the estimate and you approved.”
Went there and had an amazing experience with buying my first Car!!. Mitchel is a great worker he help me find the car that was perfect for me. And he also a very cool down to earth person. I 100% recommend you to as for Mitchel when you visit for your new car 💯💯
Christian is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and does the job thoroughly. So grateful for his help in fixing my cars trunk latch. The other employees I interacted with were very kind and helpful as well. Recommend this spot!
Leased a car 3 years ago tomorrow. Everything i read said it best to return the car to the original dealer. About 3 months i got calls from at least 6 different lease partners at Flow VW, before them Durham VW and before that south States VW. They told me all four tires had to match. Wrong. Thats only on the 4Motion model.Well i returned the car to Leith VW. They couldn’t have been nicer. Took off the license plate for me too. Good guys.
Overall great experience! Our salesman, Mitchel, was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. Our experience with the financial department was pleasant also while we were buying the car, but when we needed a quick follow up, it took several phone calls and an email before we got a reply. Would recommend Mitchel to anyone who asks!!
Came for scheduled appointment at 740am, for airbag recall work. Was informed after arriving that there was no loaner and that I would have to wait for service, even though I made the appt for a time when I was promised there would be a loaner. Basically wasted a lot of time.
We purchased a car at Flow VW of Durham this week and it was hands down the best experience buying a car that I have ever had. I made an appointment and Mitch Williams met my wife and I at the door as we were getting out of my truck. He made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us several times during our time there. Super nice man! He introduced us to Salesman Allen Mullens who went above and beyond to answer all our questions and get us the best financial deal we could have asked for. We could not have gotten a better salesman. We would like to express our gratitude to both of these guys for making our whole experience tremendous. If they have the car youre looking for or if they can get it for you we strongly suggest checking them out and giving them an opportunity to serve you.
The employees were kind, but the service center was a waste of money and time. I came in with two issues - only one was fixed with poor quality and charged at a premium rate.
My first review on a business unfortunately not good.. Drove 2 hours to see and buy the car that I have been wanting to buy because theyre the only ones that have it. There was no other customers outside. The guy that greeted us after 20 min of walking around looking finally came up and asked how we are doing. We mentioned we liked the car and he did not seem to know much about it. Did not ask us questions or offer to show us the car, ask questions of what we were looking for, offer to test drive, if we were buying, nothing. He just stood there as if we were wasting his time. After a few awkward minutes of no communication I asked to see the inside and he only mentioned basic stuff. We left because it seemed we were wasting his time or he had something better to do. What a way to drain my excitement. Guess Ill get the car transfered to a more friendly and helpful dealer.
This was the absolutely BEST car buying experience I have ever had. It was easy, seamless and an absolute pleasure. Brandon, Verlinda, Ron, Chavis and Pete knocked it out of the park. Absolutely fabulous service. Pete and Verlinda spent almost 6 hours helping me find the right vehicle for the right price. I never felt pressured to purchase a new car and they address all of my concerns. They were also very patient and accommodating. I highly recommend Flow VW of Durham, they have always been great with servicing my old vehicle and they were fantastic with helping me find my new car.
I recently purchased a 2021 VW Atlas from Flow Durham. I sought help and advice from the specialist Artur Baziyants and the manager Mark Whitmore. First, these two persons are truly amazing in every sense and will try their best to help you reach the best decision. They make you feel as if you are part of their family and that they want the best for you. They are highly professional, honest, straightforward, and will listen to you with respect. They will also try their best to give you the price that meets your budget and the car that you need ( with the right color, specs and engine) even if they don’t have it in their shop.Artur was really helpful in many aspects, especially when it comes to technical questions related to the car, from specs and how the different features work to insurance and warranty. He will literally make sure that you understand what he is explaining and will show you everything in details. He even spent some time to install some important applications on my mobile like car net and explain it to me. He covered everything and told me that he is eager to help if I have any questions in the future.Mark also gave me a strong sense of comfort and trust from his professionalism and the way he talks and negotiates. He was not pushy i.e. insisting to sell a specific car to me. He told me that he wanted me to get the car that I want with the price that is close to my budget. He was calm and a great listener.I honestly felts lucky that I met and dealt with these two honest and wonderful persons. I recommend everyone to reach them if they decide to purchase a car from Flow VW @ Durham.

The best experience I’ve ever had!!! Elias Lopez the salesmen that helped us choose our car was very very nice I highly suggest you ask for him when deciding on a car!! Nobody was pushy to sell us a car like other dealerships. No pressure at all!!! I really suggest coming here for your next car purchase!!! And make sure to ask for Eli!!! To those who may read this review, be it known that I rarely give a five star rating because I feel it should be reserved for the very best of the best. So getting a really good car, a competitive price, and a fair trade in price on my 10 year old VW Jetta, and having a sales person like Mitch made my car buying experience truly great. The car, I feel speaks for itself; however, the customer gives the feedback on the personal interaction with the sales staff. Knowledgeable and patient was what I was looking for and required. With the upgrades in technology between my 2010 and my new 2020 Jettas, I was thankful for the hand-holding, answers to follow up questions after leaving the dealership, and the offer of availability for further resolutions to technology questions deserves a five start rating. I recommend the car, the dealership, but mostly, Mitch. Thank you.
By far the best car buying experience of my life was at Flow of Durham. Steve and Thomas in sales are just a pleasure to deal with - from start to finish. I knew right from the beginning I was in good hands. Honest, respectable people who want to make their customers happy. I live in Los Angeles and was arranging to lease a new car for my daughter who goes to school in North Carolina. Even 3000 miles away, Steve made everything smooth, easy, and efficient. I knew my daughter would be safe and happy, not only getting the car, but for the life of her lease. I felt comfortable that I was getting a great deal and that everything was taken care of down to the tiniest detail. They treat their customers like family. I cannot say enough about these people.
