Service department is absolutely trash here. Ive called about 10 times today with it going straight to voicemail and leaving a voicemail every time with no one calling me back. Have fun trying to schedule a service apt with these people.

I have had my car there being serviced for almost a month at this point. The part they need to fix my car is backordered due to covid, which is completely understandable as a lot of places are experiencing shortages. However, in the midst of this, theyve gotten rid of their loaner program, which means that if your part isnt available they have nothing to offer you in terms of transportation other than the dealerships rental service. Naturally, you would think that the service department would pay to cover at least part of the rental fees since they are unable to repair the car in a reasonable amount of time, but no. Ive had to talk with two different case managers from Ford customer service about this and have been making my case with them for the entire time my car has been there. The service department manager spoke with me about finding a used part and said he didnt usually prefer using a used part, but it would get here sooner. Then he said it would take 4-5 business days after they ordered it. When I asked for an update 4 days later, the expected arrival date was actually closer to 10 business days, so they either gave me the wrong time or didnt update me. Meanwhile, my case managers supervisor told us hed call the service department manager and that they should be able to cover at least a large part of the rental given the circumstances. They then went back on that a few days later and said they couldnt cover any of it. When I asked the service department about this, they said no one from corporate had talked to them. Rachel was very understanding on the phone as it had been really frustrating to be told one thing only for them to go back on it.However, theyre now telling me that my car isnt accepting the part. I wasnt told that this was possible when discussing ordering a used part. Theyre still not offering the pay the rental and now theyre wanting me to also pay for this part that wont even work and my car has been there a month. Do not bring your car to this dealership if you need a Ford fixed, they give contradictory information and the best they will offer is sorry for the inconvenience when the inconvenience is costing you thousands of extra dollars because they cant get it together.

This place has been exemplary since it was downtown but it shone super bright yesterday. Cory Pitts was our salesperson and he (as well as the team behind the scenes) were eager to earn our businesses and made buying a car during this time as smooth as it was pre-pandemic/pre-supply chain issues. We were so sure we would have to pay more for a much lesser car but we ended up pay less for exactly what we wanted. With cars being rare and inflated in price, we left feeling heard, cared for and important. We will continue to return to University Ford, and Cory Pitts, for maintenance and leasing/purchasing. This place is excellent.

Purchased a 2021 Ford Bronco from University Ford. The experience was fantastic. Bob Hansen was the first person I dealt with. He call me right away about my inquiry into the bronco I looked at on line. He was very helpful threw out the day. I even told him I wouldnt be able to make it in to see the bronco until in the evening. He said that was fine and set up an appointment. He said he wouldnt be able to be there due to it being his and his wifes anniversary, but said he would make sure that he had someone waiting to help me out. And there was. David Egan was the sales men that might me at the door. He was very nice and friendly. He went over everything about the bronco and made sure that he answered all my questions. I would recommend either Bob or David to anyone wanting a hassle free experience at buying a new vehicle.

Four attempted calls to be routed around to various staff and leaving messages that go unreturned. Two texts on their website chat bot that also go unreturned. A fifth call was answered by a female staffer who sounded as if she were a direct hire from the DMV. Rude, unconcerned, and sounded bothered to be answering the phone. After explaining the issues with my vehicle she informed me I would have to leave it for at least 24 hours, and no loaner would be available to me since I did not buy it from them. I explained I am an essential worker, and I relocated here shortly after COVID. She was very unmotivated to find a way to help me get the vehicle in without leaving me with no transportation. As an essential worker, the shifts we are working have been relentless with no change of that in sight. This dealer doesnt want business, and they dont want to respond to potential clients, either. I will spend my money elsewhere. If this is what Ford has become, I will not buy another one. After primarily driving them for nearly 40 years, this experience has shown me where brand loyalty gets you. No wonder the auto industry is struggling, staff like this is choking the life right out of it.

I test drove a used infiniti from university ford and found the driver side view mirror loose and not working correctly. Also, there was a service engine soon light on after driving it for a minute. When I told them about these issues they informed me that they would take care of the service engine light but they could not do anything about the driver side mirror because it cost 500 dollars to fix and the car was an As Is buy. I was also told that the car would be detailed before I pick it up. The headlight glass was cloudy and the dashboard glass was dirty. Also the service engine light came back on before I got home. Dont know if I will buy another car there.

I had a terrible experience at University Ford in Durham; they blatantly take advantage of people. I brought my car in because of nonfunctional A/C system early on a Friday morning. At the end of the day I heard from the service advisor for the first time saying they wanted to keep my car over the weekend and look at it Monday because they didnt have the time to address the issue. It was frustrating to hear that a car dealership didnt understand the gravity of being without your car for four straight days; they were unapologetic and didnt offer a proper explanation why they couldnt address a coolant leak that day. I opted to bring my car back Monday. After a full day, staff finally told me that the leak was due to a deficient part, the cost of which would be $880. Although the price felt absurd, I asked if it was the only way to repair the problem and the service advisor said it was, so I agreed. The staff heedlessly took apart my car without checking whether they had the correct part for the vehicle. They callously told me that they ran into an inconvenience and would need to keep my car for another day. Again, unapologetic for their mistake. I declined and will take my car elsewhere for any future service. They even charged me for the labor involved in taking my car apart when they didnt have the correct part. They did not fix my car and ended up charging me $170. I cant get my money and time back, but you can avoid this experience. Please save yourself the trouble and do your business elsewhere --- they will try to take advantage of you in any way that they can. Its unfortunate that this dealership can get away with this.

Bobby Woodell was great! Got a car transferred for me to look the next day. I didn’t fill out the credit application beforehand just bc I wanted to make sure I liked the car. After running my credit and everything I just couldn’t afford the car I wanted. They didn’t everything they could do! Thats my fault. Bobby went over and beyond for me and found me a car I could afford and that I liked! He stayed after hours to make sure I was satisfied. Love our brand new Escape, and Bobby Woodell provided top notch customer service. Bobby went the extra mile to locate the vehicle we wanted, facilitated our trade in and stayed after hours to ensure that the deal was done. We loved the car but beware of incidental charges - $699 admin fee and $99 charge for nitrogen fill of the tires. Sales agent, who we really liked, said these charges were non-negotiable! Consumer Reports will tell you that these charges are a way that they can enhance their profit.

So let preface this review with saying I was very apprehensive to even come into a dealership after what had just recently occurred with another dealer... I had been treated terribly by crossroads Ford WF while working a deal to buy an new F150 the day before, so when Crystal called me with a much better deal already done up for me on a truck with more features and a better interest rate with the color I actually wanted, it was almost too good to be true. I got myself into the dealership to find my truck already prepped with my name written on a VIP customer tag hanging from the rear view, and from there continued to have the best car buying experience I have ever had with Sumesh Reddy.He was so kind and was so excited with me! I felt extremely comfortable during the whole process, and Jessica the sales manager was also excellent in working with me on my trade in and accommodating my finances. As soon as you walk in the door you can tell the team is very down to earth- they have a diverse team including women and POC which is huge for me (not something I could say about crossroads...). Even the GM came out to greet me a couple of days later when I rode up to deliver my spare trade in key. Great service! Love my new (used) car! No pressure - Omar was awesome! We test drove cars over 2 days. We communicated with Omar via txt over after visiting and before deciding on car. He was prompt & courteous. We placed a deposit on the 3rd day and waited until Friday to pick up the car. Previous review says the fees are high & non negotiable - that’s correct but the price of the car is negotiable. Ultimately you go in prepared to pay the bottom line out the door - who cares how THEY break it down..?

Thankfully, I bought the extended warranty Ford recommended when I bought the truck I rarely buy such things, but it paid off. My experience with University Ford was smooth as silk. I worked with Ron Johnson on the purchase of a Porsche Cayenne. I performed the initial test drive and wanted to take the next step of getting it inspected. Ron was able to setup a driver to deliver the vehicle to my home so that I could get it to the shop without any hassle. The inspection turned out great. After that we were able to discuss everything over the phone to finalize the deal for the purchase. Buying a car can be stressful, but my experience was really uneventful which, a the end of the day is great. Ron was polite, accommodating and professional and had some cool stories about selling cars in Germany that I enjoyed hearing about.

Chris Overman, in the Service Department, is the best in the industry - among those Ive known in 45 years of getting my vehicles serviced. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Went down to University Ford to get a new car and worked with Kevin Hockaday. I test drove a Ford Explorer and when I got back Kevin knew that this wasn’t the vehicle for me based on my facial expressions so he located a different option that truly was the car I was looking for! The process was smooth, quick (minus him having to search for gas to fill up the car during the shortage) and painless. Kevin Hockaday was a great salesman to work with. He was honest with his information, and listened to what my asks were. He then helped to get those all important numbers to what made me comfortable and feel confident I was making the right choice.I had reached out to another dealer regarding interest in a vehicle, and they acted like they were more interested in my trade in than actually helping me to purchase that vehicle. I gave on them after 2 days of getting nowhere, and called University Ford in Durham. I drove to them on a Saturday with the intent of purchasing the truck. When I arrived at the dealership, the truck was clean, detailed, and ready to go.I drove the truck and it was great. However, I decided not to make the purchase. All the reasons for that are on me. The dealership was great. Anyway, when I informed the salesman I didn’t want to go through with the transaction, he let Dan know. I had placed a deposit on credit card to hold the truck.They returned my deposit. I am thankful that they are concerned not only with selling units, but also with overall customer satisfaction.Why am I telling you this?As I said, I live 4 hours away. I likely would never deal with these guys again, but they still did the right thing by me and refunded my deposit.Truly impressed with their customer service.Check them out. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime (71 years old) and can honestly say my experience at University Ford was the best of all. Ron Johnson (Sales Consultant), was helpful, pleasant and no pressure or up-selling. He quickly found me the truck i wanted, got me an agreeable price, and then followed through getting the truck ready for delivery. Everything was on-time and as promised. The new University Ford facility is clean, quiet and pleasant. All of the staff on-site were friendly, courteous and helpful. I plan to have my truck serviced there. Would I enthusiastically recommend Ron Johnson and University Ford? Absolutely yes.

I have bought many cars in my lifetime and I can honestly say that this was the easiest, most friendly purchase I have ever made. I cannot say enough about Dominique. She was so nice and thoughtful throughout the entire sale. University Ford has a true gem with her. This car was purchased for my daughter, who doesn’t live here and wasn’t available to test drive the car prior to the purchase day. When we went to the dealership to make the purchase, I thought that we would just do the sale and be done but Dominique immediately took my daughter out for a test drive and took her time to make sure that she was very comfortable with the car. I was so impressed that she truly cared and wanted to make sure that it was right for my daughter, not just a sale. Next time I am in the market for another vehicle, I will most definitely visit University Ford first.

Sumeshen Reddy was very polite and respectful to us throughout the process of buying a new Fusion. We have had some awful experiences buying cars previously, but this experience felt like we were driving the purchase. This is our third time buying a car from University Ford, the second time with AMBERIN CHOUDHARY. Amberin and her colleagues made the purchase process very easy, showing us a range of cars and even bringing some in from another site. She let us do an overnight extended test drive with our preferred vehicle, take it for an independent evaluation with our mechanic, and then made the negotiation process as painless as can be. We really appreciated the dealer taking care of all the paperwork since we now live out of state and worried about the hassle of registering the car outside of NC. Highly recommended!

Brought my new 2019 350 Transit Dually Van in for the Works package which is supposed to include an oil change, tire rotation, fluids check, etc. At first the advisor said they don’t rotate the rear dual tires. When I mentioned the Ford Factory recommended tire rotation pattern he said okay. My van was in the shop for 2.5 hrs as I waited for it. When it came out – the tires hadn’t been rotated. When I pointed this out he said they had and we can check the cameras if necessary. I said fine – let’s check the cameras but they never did. Since I know for a fact they hadn’t been rotated – the advisor got the service manager involved. To my surprise – the service manager even insisted they’d been rotated. This in spite of significant & overwhelming evidence to the contrary. You could look at the studs on the wheels and tell a nut hadn’t been turned off those studs in a long time – certainly not this day. Secondly, I had marked the tires and pointed that out to the service manager as well. The marks I put on the passenger side tires were still on the passenger side.Just a note that they didnt do a fluids check either. At least not the windshield washer fluid - mine was very low and obviously wasnt checked.This is unfortunate because this is otherwise a very nice facility that services commercial trucks.

Had an amazing experience here! I walked in the door and was greeted immediately by Amberin Choudhary, our Sales Representative, who was very warm and welcoming. We had contacted the dealership the day before letting them know that we were interested in the Tesla Model 3 that was newly listed and when we arrived, it was already washed, vacuumed and ready to test drive. Amberin, even though it is a Ford Dealership, answered EVERY question we had regarding the Tesla even though they probably dont have too many in stock normally, which was great! Once we got in it, we knew we wanted to to take it home, and the whole purchase process was very simple and easy! We felt very comfortable throughout and didnt feel pressured to accept anything that we didnt want to. The General Manager even came by and congratulated us on our purchase! We had heard some family and friends tell us about how they had a great experience and recommended University Ford, and we got to see first-hand what they were talking about! 10/10 Will buy from them again for sure!

They took care of me and went the extra mile. I was truly impressed with how amazing each of them were. They really wanted to make sure I got EXACTLY what was perfect for me. Jen was super sweet and not only made sure we had options, but she was sooooo sweet to my daughter while we were there. She made sure she took her time with me. Mario was super nice and really took his time answering all of the many questions we had. My first visit to University Ford. We were interesting in purchasing two Titanium Hybrid Escapes. We had purchased two non-hybrids in 2017 from Capital Ford in Hillsborough, but wanted to look somewhere closer. We loved our Escapes, so thought would look at them again. I have to say, our experience from start to finish with our sales representative did not inspire us to want to purchase. The most disappointing thing was, that I gave feed back directly to the General Manager via email, and he didnt even have the decency to reply with I am sorry. We ended up purchasing Hyundai Tucsons instead. Better cars/warranty and an excellent experience so far.

I was looking for a slightly used Ford Transit Passenger Van. I used TrueCar to search who had pointed me to University Ford and quoted me a price. I sent my son to check out the Transit and he said it checked so put a deposit on it. He didnt check the price quoted on the bill of sale. When I went to pick it up and pay for it, I noticed the difference of several thousand dollars. I showed them quote I had through TrueCar. He said that he could not honor that quote only the bill of sale. The Sales Manager said that they had problems with TrueCar before and that this has happened several times. When I asked why they still listed cars with TrueCar I didnt get a satisfactory answer. He gave me a couple of hundred dollars off (of the almost $3K difference in price) and due to the desire to get the specific vehicle that was hard to find, I rubbed my neck and wrote the check.A couple of months later, we had a flat that was under warranty with Nitrofill (that they added on. without ever asking when I bought it). I had called Nitrofill to understand what I had to do to get the tire repaired or replaced and get the $100 credit. They gave me a claim number and told me to go to University Ford, give them the claim number and have them call Nitrofill with the diagnosis.My daughter-in-law made an appointment specifically on a Wednesday to get the tire fixed and get an additional key made (which they said could be done on Wednesdays). She brought it with the information that we had a flat and had a claim number. The service representative told her she didnt need the claim number though my daughter asked several times and just wrote that we needed it filled with nitrogen. Then they called me to sell me an alignment and when I asked that status of the retire repair, I was told that they didnt know it needed to be repaired and that there was any claim number, but they had filled it with nitrogen and rotated the tire. The rep kept insisting she was never told the tire needed to be repaired or that she heard there was a claim number. So, I explained whether or not she knew, I had one now and gave it to them. They claimed they checked it out and found nothing wrong with the tire.Guess what tire was flat in the morning?Oh, and the person who was supposed to make us a new key wasnt around and they didnt know when he would be.When I called back frustrated, I had to hear the same BS that they didnt know there was a flat that needed to be repaired and when I explained that I had spoke to my daughter-in-law who had tried to give her the claim number they eventually agreed that perhaps they should have taken more time to understand the problem.I called Nitrofill and explained my frustration. They had never gotten a call from University Ford about the claim. So, I asked where else I could bring it.For my mental health, we found somewhere else that can actually find a leak in a tire and not defend their incompetence and lack of integrity.

So, after having been disappointed with Capital Ford of Raleigh for not having vehicles advertised on the Internet actually available at their location as of early last Friday, May 21, 2021, I called your dealership to find out what you had in stock. I pointedly asked Chrystal if the particular pickup truck I was interested in was ACTUALLY ON THE LOT. She assured me it was. So, I said Id be there around 11am to see it. Got there at 11:15am. First warning clue...Chrystal wasnt available....Brandon said hed take care of us. We told him the vehicle we were interested in and he said it was in the back of the lot and would have it brought around. A few minutes later Brandon comes back around and said some rust had been found on the truck and had been sent off to be repaired and the truck would be back in a week or so. I asked if they had ANYTHING on their lot comparable to what we had expected to buy and it was clear that your dealership didnt have jack. Heres whats wrong with Brandon...he didnt own any of it. He is actually quite an inept salesperson....as your dealership is equally inept. Heres some advice...DONT ADVERTISE vehicles for sale that you dont have in your possession. Dont expect a good, or even average or sub average review from me online. You are ethically stunted.

I can honestly say our experience at University Ford was one of the best car buying experiences we have ever had! Dominique went out of her way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and helped us get our brand new 2020 Ford Ranger! She was very helpful and nice and was not pushy at all! Zeke in finance also was very knowledgeable and helped us make the right decisions. Zeke did not push anything on us and was very understanding. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a car! This was the easiest car buying experience we have ever had, and will definitely be back in the future!
