Big shout out to Sandy for her excellent customer service!!! Drove into Honda World Service Center without an appointment since my tire pressure light came on while driving on the 605 Fwy. Received a friendly welcome from Sandy and assured me that she wouldhave someone check my tires right away. By the time I found a seat in the lounge area she walked in to tell me that the technician had checked all the tires and inflated the tire that needed the air. She reassured me all the tires were fine. I was surprised that it was taken care of so quickly. I expected to wait an hour before my car would be worked on. Sandy was friendly, efficient and got the problem solved quickly. Another welcomed surprise was there was no charge! What customer service!!! Thank you Sandy and Honda World!!!
This place used to be really good about a year ago, they were faster, told you what was wrong with your car and the prices were cheaper. Now you have to wait 1.5hrs for an oil change, they don’t tell you anything that’s your car might need now and they are more expensive than than other places. I just suggest going to a reputable service location because it will be faster and less expensive and they’ll tell you what the car might need

Dropped of my 2018 Civic to have the Ac condenser replaced, they broke the clips that hold the front bumper. Nothing aligned any more, they didnt even installed the 2 front bottom bolts that hold the bottom skid plate. Im still waiting for them to fix this issue, the service advisor never returns calls no matter how many times you call. Spoke to the service manager about this issue and said he will talk to the service advisor to call me the next day, its been over a month and Im still waiting for that call. They are a bunch of unprofessional people who dont know anything about customer service, even the receptionists block your number so you dont keep calling. Go to Norm Reeves Honda way better service .Save yourself headaches and avoid Honda World!!! NEVER AGAIN RETURNING TO THIS PLACE
I called to ask for a quote on tires and they transfer me to three different people. I had to make the math. I was given a price for tires they stated to add 35 on each tire for installation get taxes and that will be my quote. I ask about balancing and they wanted to transfer me again. So unprofessional also they couldnt give me a quote on tires if I didnt have a VIN number. Loss business with me.

Received a letter from Honda and it stated that there was a recall for a mitigation issue and I had to go to the dealer to solve this recall issue. When I made an appointment earlier in the week to solve this issue, I arrived at 6am as agreed to and 6 hours later I get a call saying it will cost ME $600 to fix it because I ran over something and I broke the sensor. I have never been in a collision. SCAMMERS HERE AT L.A HONDA WORLD. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
I came here last weekend. I had an early appointment, I was greeted with a smile by Ivan. He explained there was a recall and offered to get me a lyft home since he didn’t want me to wait too long. He also notified me when the car was ready and ordered me a lyft back. I was impressed by his professionalism and excellent customer service. Ive been here many times and this has been the first time I’ve experienced such treatment. As I left I noticed he greeted the next customer with the same smile and excitement as he had greeted me. Ivan is such an asset to this company, I hope they take care of him like he takes care of his customers, great customer service is so important and very hard to find.

This place is horrible, called my sales person and was directed to sales manager after my car had problems, (should of called directly to service). Sales manager told me to bring it in they would be waiting for me .... When I got there they knew nothing of me and I had to wait 4 day for a return . I asked to talk to service manager to see if he could help, he flat out told me we dont deal with sales so you have to leave it for 4 days .😡 Just go somewhere else there are way better honda service with in 5 mi of this place..also got a bad deal on my car buy hey ..
Never again taking my car get serviced here..Took my car in for a recall on the condenser for the ac unit and took them longer than they said and after receiving my car I noticed ac was now making weird noises but when i first took it it was working perfectly fine...Only reason I took it to get checked was for the recall.Now I took it back so they can check what the problem was and why it was making these noises and after two days they have no idea ...Service guy dont even have the decency to call me or anything to give me any update or anything.I take my car running in good condition and because of this dam recall now my car is not working properly ...never again coming here...
So everything is great about this place except the wait time... be ready to wait about 3 hours for an oil change or any other simple job on your car.

They over charge you for everything, I had told them to check my hand brake area and see if any items got stuck inside cause I had dropped something. They later told me that the mechanic couldnt find anything which shocked me because I clearly remembered something falling in there. Now I hear a little rattle and will now have to take it somewhere else because these guys dont do their job correctly.
I took my civic for a oil chance and they wanted to charge me even doh my services were free until 36k, I told the adviser that and he ran my vin and he told me my services were expired which was a lie they just wanted to charge me. I just decided to take my car to norve reeves honda at cerritos which they did a great job and right away told me I was still covered, for now on I will never bring my car to honda of Downey and will bring it to a dealer that really appreciate there customers

Took my honda pilot in January for 2 recalls it had. They took care of 1 recall and for the 2nd recall they needed to order a part. Ive been calling them trying to find out if they ordered the part and I havent received an answer from them..I keep calling and leaving messages!! This has been the worst service Ive received by far!!
Tell me why I made an appointment and got my car 4hours later! I spoke to another customer there to see how long he waited and said he got there later than I did and got his car right on time he said “ask for nicole” I had Gihan and I don’t recommend him he also made me and another customer wait for way past the time that he said, that’s unacceptable! Advisors are suppose to keep tract of your cars if they get paid for making sells and helping out customers tell me why he just told me that he doesn’t know if they have touched my car yet after 3and a half hours and after he went to go finally check with his technicians only once stepping out of the office my car finally got taken in for a 15mins oil change!!!!

Not what i expected from a dealer...Went in for a simple oil change which they said it woul take long. My appt was at 06:30am didnt get out till 09:50 just for an oil change. Then i find that they broke my hood pull lever called them on back on that and the service advisor said o yea we forgot to inform you on that..they did not want to repair saying its an old vehicle but and things just fall apart after that. Then iasked to speak to theyre supervisor they told me he would call me back and i did inform the adviser that i would not be able to answer the call due to me going in at work. They callwd back while i was at work i wss not able to answer...called them back when o had free time and pretty much they blocked my number. That tells you type of Customer Service you can relly on. Never going back to that place.
I have gotten Danny as my Honda helper twice now and both times he was awesome. Got my service done an hour sooner than promised. He was able to get me squared away even with no appointment. Thanks Danny.
This place has straight-up integrity. They fix things right the first time. one year we needed a repair that was going to take a long time and they gave us a free loaner. My wifes Honda fit is 10 years old, and the team at this place has kept it running excellently!

Ripped off. Was charged $150 just to diagnose why my check engine light was on. Then was quoted $475 to change the mass airflow sensor. I got the sensor for $60 at autozone and changed it myself. Problem solved. Regret going to this place, never again.
Given how close Honda World is to us in East LA, Im disappointed that the customer service across all levels was poor. We purchased a used CR-V (not from the dealership) as a road trip car, and it was missing a socket for the taillight. We called Honda World to see if they had the part. They did, but they said they didnt have an appointment available for the next day. We could, however, come right when they opened and they would be able to get us the part and replace it fairly quickly. When we arrived, right when they opened, we were chastised for coming in on a busy weekend day without an appointment. We were told that it wasnt, in fact, a quick replacement but would require us to pay the diagnostic and the part. Ok, fine. Such is dealing with the dealership. They called to let me know that a headlight bulb was out and bulb was dimming, so they would replace those also. Great, approved that additional service. When I picked up the car, I checked with my service advisor to confirm which bulb was out. The paperwork only says right side vs. left, which would obviously vary depending on where the vantage point is from within or from the front of the vehicle. Drivers side, she says. By the time we made it to our road trip destination a week later, the headlight was out again. We take it to the dealership there, and we are told that the headlight is new but burned out. It was replaced incorrectly, probably with someones bare hands, and the bulb melted as a result. We called Downey to let them know. The manager seemed upset to hear this and said they would look into it. We didnt hear from them when they said. I called again. They finally texted me to ask for documentation that the bulb was replaced at the other dealership. I sent it. Heard nothing for several more days. Then after following up, the manager gets back to me to say that the paperwork doesnt match up because their paperwork (Downey) is labelled in terms of right side/left side, while the other dealership is labelled in terms of drivers side/passengers side. I explain that the new dealers notes indicate that it was the drivers side that was burned out and that bulb was new/matched the part number of the Downey invoice, and the mechanics notes say that the passengers side is showing signs of wear and is also not the dealers brand. Both of these facts indicate that there is, in fact, alignment. The manager chose to never respond. We would have been ok with them just saying maybe theres an error in the paperwork, but we cant prove that so we cant do much for you. Thats an understandable business decision, but it would have at least let us know that they valued our business enough to keep us informed about their decision. Unfortunately, they chose to stop communicating altogether. Im not that worried about the $50 needed to replace the bulb, but I am not willing to continue to go back to Downey when they failed to provide any follow-up. In fact, when we did ask them to follow up, the manager simply copy/pasted their original message about the invoices being labelled differently. He did add CAPSLOCK text for extra emphasis. Really poor professionalism. Thankfully we found this out before it was time for upcoming 100k mile service appointment. Well be going somewhere, really anywhere, else.

Service was ok but it’s the communication that bothers me. After I left my car no one would pick up the phone to give me status. The phone went straight to voicemail. There was no status for the whole day and I needed the car to get back home. After calling 3 different numbers multiple times I finally got the status to come there. When I came by I found out the car was still not ready. They gave me a loaner for that night but it was not worth the hassle. I don’t have the nerve to go back because it didn’t happen to me once it happened twice.
Always good customer service, waiting isnt too bad since the lobby is comfortable enough. They even send you a lyft when you need it.
If you have an appointment, you still have to wait in the first come, first serve line. My appointment was 8am. I arrived on time. Waited in line for 30 minutes to check in. There should be a line for appointments and a separate line for those without appointments. I was told it would take 90 minutes. It only too 60 minutes, which was good. Got my car, they skipped the complimentary car wash I was told I would receive and didnt reset the oil maintenance.

These guys have always been great. Bought my car here, had it repaired when it got vandlaized, and even through the whole COVID. They still provide excellent service. I live next to a Honda center and still make the 15 mile drive here just because of how good they are.

It was a good visit without an appointment, the service attendant was very knowledgeable about their specials. I got the express care package for about $86.00 that includes lube, oil and filter, tire rotation, multi point inspection, and topped all fluids. All in all a good experience at Honda world service department in Downey.

Very Busy place because they provide great customer service. We bought a car from them, and have continued to do business there. I cant say I go there often because our Honda runs like a top. When its been serviced it always is returned to me nice and clean. I do appreciate that. Its always kept nice and clean and has a very comfortable waiting area.

Went in to grab fluids for my car at the parts and service department. Nice and helpful people. Lots of goodies for customers near waiting section by the bathroom. They keep the a.c on witch is kool. The dealer is across the street right next to the fwy entrance. Service area is across the street, about half a block down the street to the right...
The advisor was great; however, the waiting time before I got to the advisor was over 40 minutes. Furthermore, there were customers (at least two) who arrivef after me and were serviced before me, and I had an appointment.
Great service. It’s always best to make an appointment or to come at least 40 minutes before opening. Oil change typical wait is about 2 1/2 hours or less depending on how busy they are. They offer a free ride home to certain surrounding areas. The lobby offers coffee, water and complimentary popcorn. Lobby also has chairs and a television. Has restrooms that are extremely clean. Outside seating available to watch service techs work on your car. Ivan have excellent customer service. Request him.

This review is overdue. Long story short I took in my 2010 for overheating and a TPMS sensor light. They replaced a cracked coolant reservoir and the sensors. A few weeks later the car was still overheating. They did a fluid analysis, fluid, oil . A bill of $850. TPMS still on. Two weeks car overheats, I’m in a new country, new mechanic at a Honda dealership and they check levels, do flushes and whatever they can to find out the true problem. Changed thermostat, sensors, radiator Bill $483. Do you see the problem here ?? Price gauging and fraud. I believe they half did the work or not at all and never got to the root of the problem. When I tried to claim warranty and had the Honda rep call California dealer the refused to help me in any way.

First time at this service center was up to par with other centers. One thing Im sure owners know is the location is too small. Lot is too small and waiting area is too small. They do try to make the best of it. They a couple of decent computers with desks to get on the internet, free popcorn, water, muffins and coffee. The popcorn was a big hit with my little one. Overall a good experience.
First of all, my car w/less than 50K miles was diagnosed with a major repair (like for a car that is 20 years old!); I was given a price, and when I went to pick it up, it had doubled in thousands... I was never explained that it was going to double in thousands... I think its fraud... I feel totally taken advantage of.

Since 2016 I been servicing my car here. Poor customer service oil change more than two hours with appointment? I don’t know if there’s a change of management. Used to have great customer service. Also offers me a transmission service requirements at 30,000 miles. I told him wait so why did they make me do it before the 30,000. Didn’t know what to tell me. I asked for a ride to my job 5 minutes away he didn’t put an order. Now I had to get an Uber and pay from my pocket. I text the service writer seem like he didn’t care. I will be writing a letter to Honda very poor customer service
Ive been coming here for years for my cars maintenance and service. Overall Ive had good experiences, they do a full inspection, recommend which services are recommended and which services can wait till next time if youre short on cash.The lobby is nice and clean, free coffee and water; in the mornings they have donuts and in the afternoon popcorn. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the free shuttle service.After checking in and being told it will be less than 2 hours for my car to be ready, I tell them Ill take the shuttle back home and come back when my car is ready. Im told the shuttle driver will call my name within 10-15 minutes; 30 minutes pass and Im told another 10-15 minutes. An hour after checking in, the shuttle driver finally calls my name. I cancel the request since Ive been here for an hour already and my car will be ready in about another hour; no point going home and coming back 20 minutes later.Its not the first time this has happened to me. If you come here and plan to use the free shuttle service, be prepared to wait at least an hour before the shuttle service arrives.
Really bother and disappointing with the parts department I scratched my rear bumper so I called to see if they had the touch up pen I needed for my car in stock before driving over they said yes we do so I went over right away got my touch up pen here is my problem online the price is one ($14) and over the counter is another ($22) from their parts webpage. I still bought it but won’t recommend this Honda world parts to anyone it’s going to take a long time for me to get over this.

Dont waste your money here. My new under warranty car had AC broken at 20k miles. They Fixed the leak. At 40k miles my cars AC is broke again. They want $400 for just a diagnostic and with the actual service it was estimated around 1k. Lets do some quick math. A bottle of AC freon for the car costs under $40. A recharge last about a year with a small leak. I could have my car keep its leak for over 20 years and still pay less than what they are trying to steal from me here. Oh and something I learned from my first time here. Dont even bother making an appointment as it makes no difference. They literally told me Its saturday and it gets busy. Other people want their car fixed. Edit: I just checked their yelp and all their reviews are Hidden/Not recommended because they have so many one stars. Check for yourself.
First time in this place, and certainly last time. $79.99 for an oil change, the most expensive oil change Ive ever paid. They said because its a package, so theres no such thing as just oil change. Package includes tire rotation and break inspection (things I didnt need). The mechanic was working with my car right in front of me, I could see through the windows his work. Lift the car, grab a flashlight and try to see through the wholes of the rim the breakpads, Im thinking youll rotate the tires so why not do it with tires down? Oh wait!!! maybe he wasnt planning on rotating tires. Then he did the oil change and brought the car down, at that precise moment the service desk clerk approaches me with the news that my car needs front breaks done(which I did myself 3 months ago) I asked about the rear breaks (which I havent done in 2 years) and he said theyre fine (theyre drums so you cant see them unless you remove the drum, caught the lie), then i asked for the tire rotation and break adjustment (included in the package) as my car was about to come out of the shop and he said was already done until I told him that was not true as Im seeing the mechanic through the glass, he went immediately to talk to the mechanic and got the work done, with the exception of the break adjustment, the mechanic probably doesnt even know how to adjust drum breaks. But they charge you for it anyway.BE WARNED!!! THIS DEALER CHARGES YOU FOR WHAT YOU DONT NEED AND DOESNT EVEN DO THEM. OIL CHANGE = $79.99 FOR A CIVIC.
I simply admire the level of professionalism and friendly service I received here. My car had to be towed due to a car accident and the staff at Honda Downey were quick to help. I had no trouble at all and I felt very taken care of. Thank you to the staff and all involved. I will be using your services in the future!

Not recommended. Had me come for a headlight replacement 2 times. First time they did not have the part nor could get the part for that day (understandable, but when i asked for a shuttle the service manager told me that the shuttle left but it was park right outside) Second time, Wednesday (today) i made sure not to come on Tuesday because i was not sure they could get the part on time. Now i get a call saying that the part they got was scratched so i have to go back on Saturday to get this done.Time is valuable, not only for you but for me as well. I had to wake up earlier to drop the car to service but it is frustrating to have things pushed and made to your own schedule. there are reason you made appointments.
Just a heads up. If youre a health care worker caring for COVID19 patients, they will unfortunately but understandably refuse to service your vehicle.
We took my wifes car here because we noticed there was some issues coming from the front when we would turn. I did some research and found out it was the CV joints. The dealer confirmed it was that as well and said it would be covered under warranty. All was well for about 2 weeks until my wife went to leave in the morning to go somewhere. When she started turning the car made a loud noise up front and wouldnt move after that. We had to get the car towed back to the dealer and get it fixed. When we asked what happened they said the CV joint had failed. When we told them that it was replaced by them not too long ago they informed us that they had not replaced it because it wasnt that broken, in other words they saw there was an issue but didnt bother to fix it and lied to us. Will never take our car back here again... Definitely these are not the helpful Honda people. PLEASE BEWARE!

So i always go to the dealer to get my service done on my vehicle and theres this one person in paryicular i always request his name is carlos almazen i belive thats his last name but anyways firat name is spot on. He always knows how to help us out and when we have been in a tough spot he has asked the managers to help us iut a bit and he always offers sunbit its a program that prequalifies you to get financed for the work beeing done to your car its prity freaking awsome. So yes go see my pal carlos and he will defenatly help you out.
I really can not believe this place has gotten worse. Its hard to believe this place is still in business. Just know that when you go there and something goes wrong it is never their fault. I guess in their eyes, the customer is never right. Trying to get someone to call you back is nearly impossible. The manager obviously can not control whats going on and takes no pride at this location. Save yourself the time and go to any location but this one because youll end up getting frustrated in the fact you purchased a Honda.

I’m not one to leave reviews but here’s my first. I went for an oil change on my car. They did the job and usually at the end they tell you what’s wrong with your car and if you need to fix it. However, the only thing the mechanic told me was that I had a dirty air filter. Not such an important feat right? A few days later I noticed my car was leaking oil and I went back to the dealership and the service desk told me that the mechanic had left noted that the oil was leaking. I then questioned the desk why they had not told me the day of? To “make it up” they were not going to charge me the labor of an oil change but I needed to pay $1000 to install a new oil pan. These fools must have thought I was a fool and going to simply pay it and go. I went to sears auto center where they told me all I needed was a retap which was $150. $150>$1000 no need to plead my case anymore. I used to go here a lot but now I warn people about going here.
Excellent service. Big shout out to Tom Castro for providing us the best service among all the Honda service centers we have visited. We ended up at their service Centre due to TPMS alert (tire pressures low) after a drive down from Santa Clara. Not only did Tom accommodate us but gave us a free inspection of all the tires n car wash. It turned out to be a false alarm(we had our service few days at a service center in Santa Clara and apparently those folks did the tire rotation n forgot to reset the tire pressure reset. Sigh!!!).Anyways, I really appreciate the great service provided at Honda World Downey. Keep up the good work !!! 😊
