The buying experience was great. Robert and Odis were very knowledgeable and friendly. They would definitely get 5 stars. Unfortunately the service advisor, Joel, ruins it for them. I have had my car for 3 months and the CarNet is not working. After dealing with CarNet customer service for 2.5 months I made an appointment to bring it in. I sat there for 3.5 hours and the tech tried everything he could, but to no avail. I was told they would have to order a whole new module. Joel told me it would be in the next day, so I could come back, but I was going out of town so I asked for it to be Wednesday at 2pm (ensuring I had childcare, etc). Thankfully I called the day before to confirm my appointment, to be told I wasnt on the schedule. When I explained to the reception the situation she patched me to Joel. He stated that he needed to check with the parts manager and placed me on hold. Then came back to tell me they still dont have the part. Thats weird, you were going to be able to help me the next day, but now you dont know when youll have it.....No phone call to let me know the status, and then he wanted to have a smart mouth when I said that was unacceptable. I purchased a BRAND NEW CAR. Brand new means ALL the features I paid for need to work.

My sales person Roger was fantastic he went above and beyond. The finance guy was very informal they both get 5 stars ! The 4 star is about the navigation feature not working and possibly having to wait 5 hours to fix in the service department. I made an appointment with Joel he explained he had a similar situation recently and it could take 5 hours. Plus there are no car loaners....

I had the most wonderful experience dealing with Pugi VW in Downers Grove. My salesman, Devon Brown went well beyond his duties from start to finish. Requiring a special mobility installation made his job more challenging and he completed the task flawlessly. Devon is the most knowledgeable, pleasant, patient person I have had the pleasure of working with making a car purchase. I love my new car and he made it all possible.

Service department needs work, my wife took her Atlas there because the coolant kept getting low. They looked at it for about five minutes, said it was fine. Then took it to Hawk VW, was told the water pump was bad, replaced it, running fine ever since.

Great service and very transparent negotiations for new cars. I have been a customer for a couple of years (purchased last 3 cars with them). They have great financial options and discounts each time. I typically compare what they offer me with fair prices per Kelly Blue Book and Car and Driver and they give me better offers each time than what those sites recommend.Last car I just bought, they got me out of my lease 1yr earlier without penalties and got me into a significant upgraded unit without down payment. They didnt had the unit in the color I wanted and I order it on Friday and the next Tuesday morning they called me saying they got it and it was ready for me (that day we closed, easy process).Bill is always great, and I also worked with Dennis and Robert, I recommend any of them.Finally, I am very peculiar with service and not doing unnecessary maintenance. VW maintenance program is once a year or every 10,000 miles, meaning you only need to take care in 1 every year (plus first 2 are covered by VW, so typically you dont pay those years). I havent had issues with them. In addition, they provide free car wash anytime if you purchase cars from them, so that is another savings there. Highly recommend them, significantly better experience than in downtown dealer or other states dealer I been to.

I dont recommend them at all . They dont have any customer services at all . I bet most of their positive review is made by them. I asked for a service with car loaner and I said I will pay for it yet they insisted that I must wait an hour or two to check if a recall needed then they will decide though I have a letter in the mail from VW stated to do so. I called another dealer who checked my Car VIN and he scheduled me for a service in few minutes with a loaner as I am working I cant skip my day for an oil change. This a second time they failed me when I cant with a problem. They just dont care.

David Juma is the man to see. He got me in the car I wanted and with a low monthly payments and low mileage with a trade in that wasn’t even paid off. Very professional and helpful and I love my new vehicle!

It was a nice experience at Pugi, Robert has guided me to see what i want and helped in the purchase. I got a car with no mirror cap and yet its not been fixed. i have been put on hold back and forth on this to have a plain color not the color of the car and ask me to go to another body shop for this. Its frustrating when you need to wait for a mirror cap for more than 8 weeks to get it. I will give 3.5 for overall experience.

I bought an Atlas in January 2021. My fiancé bought an Atlas in June 2021 at a different dealer (due to the car shortage). While we were at the different dealer, I find out my special low interest rate Pugi went out of their way to go find for me is in fact just the standard VW interest rate. There is my first issue. Second issue: apparently there is a bumper-to-bumper warranty available for up to 10 years that I was never offered. Third issue: IVE CALLED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 4 WEEKS AND NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK. Three of the messages I left were for the finance manager, Eric (some manager) and 2 were for Otis. Also, every time I call I tell the girl who answers the phone, hey this my my (blank) time calling without a response (I have been calling once a week, this week I called twice), they offer no apologies nor do they care - just ask what car I have and tell me to hold. Then Im transferred to a voicemail. This is the most unorganized, unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with and Im EXTREMELY regretful that I bought my SUV from them. DONT GO THERE!!!!!

I purchased a car without a mirror cap which the sales representative promised that can be fixed in 2 weeks. its been nearly two months I never get an update from the parts team or the showroom. its frustrating when you pay for everything and yet you dont get regular updates on ordered parts.

Unsure of what SUV I wanted to purchase my sale person Rudy spent the ENTIRE day with me (skipping lunch) walking the lots and going over every feature and benefit of the vehicles I was interested in.Gary the General Sales Manager over all 4 dealerships also checked in to make sure I was being taken care of! I brought an older GTI here to have a headlamp assembly replaced and had a great experience interacting with Anthony C. He is straight-forward and was not pushy in regards to services/parts from Pugi when I first brought in the vehicle for a Parking Light is Out message. Inquired a few months ago about a Passat. I really liked the car and eventually dealt with Bill Havican. I have never met someone so disrespectful as he is in my decades of car buying. He lied and insulted me during the sales process. I implore everyone to skip this dealership as he was even the general sales manager and it shows how the rest of the dealership is probably run.

This is a service VW review:We just moved to the area and switched from having our car serviced downtown Chicago to Pugi. 1) I thought they cleaned your car when you brought it in for service. 2) Besides regular maintenance, we also asked them to change out our fob batteries since the car relentlessly reminds us. Right off the bat he asked if we wanted to take a test drive which we did and fell in love with the car. We then sat down and he answered all of our questions. Never did we feel rushed or pushed in any way and he was an aboslute pleasure to work with! We ended up putting a down payment on the car and came back in and purchased a few days later. The process was nice and quick and we got what we feel to be a great deal! We also met with Odis from Financing who also was excellent. I would highly recommend stopping into Pugi if youre interested in making a vehicle purchase. The customer service is second to none!

Awful experience on 2/27. My wife test drove an Atlas with Robert on 2/23 and was provided a written quote on a price for a lease. We went in to sign off on the lease on 2/27 after I test drove it and re-confirmed the price was still valid with Robert. I completed the credit application and then Robert disappeared for 25 minutes. We thought we were signing off on the lease. Then the Sales Manager, Javier comes into the office and said they could no longer honor the price that Robert had agreed to with us 20 minutes prior to that. Javier went on to say that the offer was no longer valid and we’d have to “help him out”. We walked out of the office and 3 hours later bought the same vehicle from Larry Roesch VW in Bensenville at the price we had agreed to with Robert. Buyer beware if you are dealing with Pugi-this was by far the worst car buying experience in my life.

Bought a New VW Golf here. Salesman was a stereotype 20s something vape smoker. Another salesman thought he was entitled to the sale and stalked us around the showroom floor without introducing himself. He did say Hey Greg! and starting laughing as though I should feel bad he didnt get the sale??I think I spoke to him on the phone once months earlier after I was already working with the first salesman. I called to complain, they said he would be fired, but of course he was there when I went in for service a few months later. They also tried selling me a purple colored Golf and offering 1000 off for it even though I expressed zero interest in it. Still, they had the cheapest cost on a new vehicle and thats all that matters to me since I dont expect anything good from dealerships.The car dealership business in general is sleazy but this place is among the worst for new car sales.

Everyone at the dealership worked to make our windshield replacement go well. Very nice staff. We picked up an errant stone and a subsequent crack on our windshield. Easy to schedule a time for replacement. I waited with the car for 2 hours. Not a problem at all.

100% the best car buying experience I have had. I started with one VW dealer in the area I chose as it was closest to me but had an extremely disappointing experience with them. Pugi VW gave me the complete opposite experience- they were respectful, professional, and fair. With one quick phone call to the manager Javier, he delivered exactly what I wanted and the price I wanted. Within 2 days, he brought a car from over 100 miles away with the exact specs I wanted and followed through with everything he communicated to me. His communication was excellent with great response times whether phone, email or text. While I always have my guard up somewhat with car dealerships and salesmen, I felt he was genuine and could trust him. When we came to the dealer to pick up the car, it was such a seamless process. Robert was one of the salesmen that helped with the closing of the deal and was professional, efficient, and friendly. The financial manager Greg was also great- didn’t try to push us with buying extra add ons, but was able to give us some helpful options if we choose to add on later.Thank you Pugi for this experience. While you all do this everyday for a living, we felt like a valued customer and appreciated the extremely pleasant and seamless process.

My wife and I have been shopping for a new SUV for her for a few weeks now. We stopped in Pugi a few weeks ago to see the car in person, we worked with Andres(?) and he was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. We explained that we were still just in the looking phase and did not feel pressured into buying, running numbers, etc during our first visit, which was a welcome change from most dealers. She was still undecided between the Mazda CX5, Nissan Rogue and VW Tiguan. After test driving all of them and working with the staff and Pugi, she decided that was the way to go. We setup an appointment to meet with Andres(?) again and returned this past Saturday. We drove the car one more time, asked our remaining questions and decided to move forward. We were able to trade in our previous lease without any issues and broke even on it, which was a welcome bonus. Odis ran us through the finances side of things and was super friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the wait for the paperwork to get done, but that has been the same with every car we have ever bought and is to be expected at this point, with that said, the process seemed to be as streamlined and fast as possible on their end. Would highly recommend for any vehicle purchase anyone is looking to make.

I just have to laugh at this place. I called on a Friday to set up a test drive. They told me they would call me if anything changed. I drove 45 minutes to test drive a car. When I got there all the employees were leaning on the counter playing on their phones, and they told me that the car I had an appointment to test drive had been sold. As if that wasnt bad enough, they left me a voicemail earlier today asking me why I hadnt stopped by for a test drive. Theyre so disorganized.

I brought my GTI for service on Friday 6.26.2020. I had a coupon with a 21% discount. The service advisor asked me if I had an appointment. I stated that I had initially tried to book one on the phone, but I kept getting routed back to the operator. I saw the dealer participated in service express, and as I was only looking for an oil change, this should be easy to accommodate me. I was told that the earliest they had an opening was for Tuesday. Express Service policy clearly states you can bring your car in anytime for regular maintenance. After some protest the tech finally agreed to take my car and honor my coupon. When I came in the evening I got the bill from the cashier I noticed they had applied a $10 discount. I showed the cashier the coupon and stated that on an $84.84 pre tax bill the 21% discount works out to $67.03. The cashier said there was nothing she could. The were basically holding my car for ransom until I paid their incorrectly calculated bill. Horrible service from the service advisor!

I am not at all pleased with the customer service they provide at this show room, not from everybody. We had an excellent sales representative Mr.Roger who helped us with explaining every details and answering our questions regarding 2020 golf GTI. Except him all the rest of the people whom we talked to didnt care nothing about customer satisfaction rather. First person I want to point out is a bald headed guy, I think he was the manager for this showroom. All his concern was the profit he will get out of the sale. First he told me he can give us the car for a deal 500 dollars less than for what we asked for with 0% interest. When we heard it we were very much satisfied and told him we will come back Monday morning as it was towards end of store hour we reached there. We went back to pugi Monday, they had a different model the car ready, my husband and my dad drove it and was very much Satisfied. We were about to sign our contract and I asked himself the last price, then he said he cannot give me the car for 0% for the price he said the previous day. So I asked him why did u give us that offfer to which his response was because I want you guys to come back . I honestly think that it is the worst answer to give back to a customer who has been to your showroom twice and has spent more than 3 hr a day talking about the car and finding the price. He just wasted all our time. So then I asked what is the price you can give me. He raised an additional $3000. We were so mad that we walked out of the showroom because we felt we were being cheated and felt really bad for wasting all that time we spent there. Almost 30 min after we left Mr.Roger called us and said they can give us the car for the deal they said in the beginning. We were on our way to orland park volkswagen so we said we will come back in almost 2 hour. We went back, meet Roger again and finalized the dealership. We paided $500 dollars so that he can go pick up the car for us. When the car was ready we were happy and signed our deal and got the car. We have also requested for a remote start at the beginning to be installed which was also agreed by the bald headed guy. We had to get an appointment set for that. After getting the car we were told that they cannot do it anymore, again why do these people lie to customer, if you cannot do it, let us know we. We will find another solution. I was very much concerned at that point because the car is for my husband and this is his first winter in USA. It took them almost 2 weeks to confirm that they cannot do it and that they will return our money which we is part of our monthly payment. The one star I am giving is only for Roger, not for anybody.

Another great experience with Pugi VW! Gustavo is an amazing and attentive Sales Consultant, and the Sales Manager, Bill, is great to work with too! They both respond within minutes to any email or text communication, and the store vibe is just as attentive and friendly without ever being overbearing or pressuring.I recently helped my sister get into a new 19 GLI 35th Anniversary Edition to replace her 17 GLI lease, and Gustavo kept us updated every step of the way. We were able to get in for paperwork within 24hrs of the cars arrival on the lot - so my sister was thrilled to get one of the very first redesigned GLIs to hit the roads!The stores pricing is incredible, and everything is straight-forward and transparent, which is honestly even more important. (Both F&I managers are great as well - fun and friendly!) I will continue to send people to Gustavo and Bill for Volkswagens! :)

I have been looking the past 2 weeks and was between this VW location and another. From the moment I started speaking with Angela at Downers Grove via email I felt I was more than just another sale. When I pulled up at the dealer I was not bombarded and actually welcomed and asked what I wanted as opposed to them pushing me into something I didn’t want.Starting with Robert (sales), Javier all the way to Otis (Financing) the whole process and everyone was amazing and welcoming. I was there for 3 hours tops and that is because I couldn’t decide on the options I wanted. They were not pushy and didn’t try to sell you on garbage you don’t need. I walked in with an upside down trade in and walked out with a brand new 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport that I absolutely love at a payment I can handle!I would recommend this place to all Friends/Family and Strangers! Great dealership. Spent the average amount of time you would while buying a car. BUT they always go above and beyond for my husband and I! They know better than anyone how fast we like to trade in cars 😅😁

Whats the point of an appointment if you sit and wait 45 minutes.Update:So after an hour I walked up again to ask if it gonna be much longer and guess what?The lady were here to see is sitting all alone and available. Matter of fact she is sitting and waiting for us but thanks to some idiot who told me she is with a customer I am waiting looking at her and she is waiting for us.We walked in and I said we have appointment and we were told to have a seat because she was busy. What an idiot.

We had a great experience working with Kelsie. He was educated and knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. He made sure we left with our new car with all of our questions answered. We highly recommend going to Pugi for your new VW!

Jeremy was in service today and was awesome. He heard all my things that needed to be done for 1 year service. Was extremity good about making sure it was what I wanted and carry helpful. Much better experience then in December. Love it cause its close. Also the gentleman that fixed my dash board was extremely knowledgeable and explained sometimes on keeping the car interior clean. Thanks for all your help today.

Just great people. I love the honesty and commitment to minimal haggling/negotiation. It made the buying process way less stressful than other dealerships I’ve been to.

My experience with Pugi wasn’t great. When it came to work with their finance team to see what loan they would offer me, they were not honest. I am someone with excellent credit score and they wanted to give me an interest rate that is absurd for someone with good credit. When I would ask them for my interest rate on the loan, they would not give me the number. They like to play games and play with your numbers on payments.I’d suggest take your business to another Volkswagen dealership.Edit Update:I originally gave this dealership a 1 star due to poor service but a day later, we received a phone call from the dealership manager wanting to turn our experience into a positive one. It was a great experience to hear him ask what he can do to help and he took his customer service above and beyond. He was honest with us and helped us get the fair price we wanted since the beginning.It really does show that not everyone is the same in that dealership. Some employees really are there wanting to help you make the right purchase and have a positive experience.

Scott, Gus and Odis make the Car buying experience a pleasure. At this dealership, gone are some the old clichés of buying a car. What we found were people who were fun to be around without all the BS. People who took the time to understand their customer and tailor the car buying experience to them. I have been to this dealer twice, the first time I needed an oil change. I scheduled it for 4 pm, arrived at 3. The service guy not only welcomed me, he said they will take care of the oil change. Within the hour I was done with an oil change and transmission flush. The second time I had a tire issue, drove in without an appointment and John I believe is his name, took the car and got it assessed. They provided a complimentary loaner and took care of my issue. Always skeptical when entering a dealer; but, sales staff worked hard to get the deal I wanted and the car I wanted. They negotiated hard against the competitors over several days. When it came time to close- the deal was as presented, easy walk through and a pleasure to trade-in and receive the new car. Service department looks to be excellent as well.
