Everyone was super friendly when I walked into the building. Brandon was assisting another customer and another salesperson helped me, also friendly. It was by far the best car buying experience I have had in a while.
The dealership is very clean. Everyone was very friendly, and my salesman was very personable and answered any questions I had.
The sales people were very friendly and easy to talk to. There were some hidden costs that were above the asking price which were not disclosed before we drove 80 miles to get there. That didnt go over very well with me or my wife as I could see the vein in her neck pounding, but they did deal with us a bit. The finance department ( James Major) helped us to get the lowest interest rate so that saved us a few bucks on our payments too. Overall we are glad we went through with the. We feel it was a good deal for us and the 80 miles to get home was a joy!
The process of buying my truck went seamlessly. The whole staff was friendly and attentive. The reason for the 3 stars however was because when they went to give me my keys and do a final walk through we discovered a popcorn kernel and an empty can of chewing tobacco in the center console. At least the can was empty I suppose.
Buying process was fast. Comfortable accommodations while waiting with two children. No bulldogging- salesman worked to make the deal happen.

Brought vehicle in for oil change before going on trip. Comfortable place to wait and courteous service.
Took much longer than told or from past experience. Not notified of progress while waiting for fluid maintenance for three hours. Service light on dashboard not reset and car not washed. All of this was a dramatic decline in the usual service provided.
Did the purchase online Sunday night. filled out all the information made an appointment for 9a Monday morning to test drive and Finalize paperwork. The vehicle was not available to drive because the front wheels were off and it was on a Lift. Said they couldnt do anything about it because it was a holiday so it have to wait till Tuesday to drive it. They said they would call me to verify that it was ready so I could come there Tuesday evening and drive it and finalize the deal but they sold it on Monday night The dealership has no integrity and I would never buy anything from them again.

John Marcus was wonderful to work with. We saw the car and fell in love with it. A GMC 2018 Yukon. John helped us reach a price we could afford and was very quick in prepping all the paperwork. The car even needed a few small dents fixed and they did fixed it while we waited and signed paperwork. It was wonderful service. Everyone was very nice and helpful. With the vehicle shortage around the country, especially in the pickup truck and specialized pickup truck market (AT4, TRX, Raptor, TRD Pro), its hard to find what youre looking for. Its even harder to find a dealership that doesnt gouge the prices with $10K over MSRP list prices. Believe me, there are plenty of dealerships out there doing that. Bill Kay didnt. They honored MSRP, told me exactly what I was getting, they were accurate on the delivery date (I bought an inbound vehicle) and the process was fast and simple. My sales guy, Luigi, was attentive and friendly. My business manager, Major, was easy to work with and didnt try and sell me on every add-on under the sun. It was refreshing. I would happily send friends and family back to Bill Kay Buick GMC in Downers Grove, IL.

Went to purchase a new vehicle, we negotiated a price, only to learn AFTER the fact that a feature was removed (NO TRANSPARENCE IN THE TRANSACTION) Upon trying to get it resolved NEVER heard back from the Showroom manager etc. All they cared about was getting that sale. I will say their service dept. manager is VERY good (based on past experience with previous vehicle).
Im concerned. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. After inspecting the car, I was given a long list of items that your service department recommended. I reviewed the list and approved a few of the items. I did see that the service department recommended replacing my windshield wipers. Problem here is that if the service department actually LOOKED at my car, they would see that I replaced my windshield wipers last year! I asked a technician if they recommended the wiper replacement based on visual inspection or just my cars mileage. He stated that it was based on mileage. I wonder how many other recommended repairs I paid for in the past were based on mileage and not a visual inspection!

We got a fantastic car at a great price but they force you to pay a S.W.A.T fee, its an anti theft device that you have no say in having it has a GPS locator in it. The cost starts at 500 and can be higher, so if you want to buy a vehicle from Billy Kay be aware that it will be more than advertised.

I needed service for a dead battery (luckily all it was) and had to have my car towed there. I was connected into service right away each time I called and Brian Jucha in service was fantastic to work with. He was pleasant to speak with and made the process so easy to deal with. Checking my account and noting that if just a battery Im still covered under warranty. He texted me his number in case I needed to reach him, let me know when the tow showed up with my car, kept me informed of where he was at with my car and when I could pick up. No delays and very accommodating. I also needed a small paintless dent repaired and he got that taken care for me too all in same day. And rotated my tires at my request! I picked up later in the evening and the cashier was also very nice to work with, got me checked out quick and handed me my key (and she was from another location just helping out that day!) Car was washed too which is always a welcomed surprise. I had a very good experience all around which is VERY much appreciated and is what keeps people coming back (that and good repairs at reasonable costs!)

They helped me get to where I wanted to go and recognized that I didnt want to be pushed into something I didnt want. My plan is to go back there when Im ready to buy another truck!
Made a credit inquiry even though I was paying the full amount in cash and asked them not to do a credit inquiry. All staff seemed to be playing old tricks to make you pay more for the car you are interested in. They were unable to gain my trust as they send one of their staff to pretend to be interested on the same car.

I drove through the lot prior to going in, I had already spoke with my salesman Luigi, (great guy) I picked out what I wanted so he said I could buy a 2020 Enclave, I replied with I lose $5000 Driving off the lot) And I am sorry but I dont see 40 thousand dollars on 4 tires. I picked a Lacrosse 2009 with 4 new tires and no doubt the car was loved,. I traded a 2011 Chrysler 200 with 70700 miles for a 2009 Buick with 57000 miles . They gave me every discount available and I got the car and the payments are just over 200 per month. 48 month. I couldnt be happier, I will be buying the next car when time comes. Online scheduling was quick and easy and check-in at the dealership was easy as well. After mentioning that this was my first oil change since I bought the vehicle, the technician, Keith, mentioned that the first oil change is usually free. However, after checking in the computer, I found out that I was about 2 weeks past due for the free oil change. Due to so many things being shutdown lately, I just hadnt been out much, nor did I know the first oil change was usually free. Keith said he would see about getting me a discount though, which I appreciated. I was told it would take about an hour for the oil change and to check over everything else. After about 45 minutes, Keith told me he was all finished and that he had spoken with his boss and they had agreed to give me the oil change and service for free, even though I was past the expiration date! I am absolutely blown away by the level of Keiths initiative, kindness, professionalism, and service! His actions have made me a life-long customer! I will definitely be back for any and all future needs! Thank you so much!
My experience with Bill kay GMC has improved, they replaced the trim on the trunk of my Nissan at no charge and did a nice jobThey didnt comicate with fully on the initial estimate for repairs, but since Wayne in the body shop made it right now. I am now pleased with the results, and would recommend them as a good place to get work done.
I was looking for a used vehicle for my daughter. Bill Kay Buick GMC had one that fit what I was interested in. The vehicle had some cosmetic damage, so negotiated work by the dealership to do some repairs. The experience from the sale and repair was outstanding. Herb, Terry and Seville were up front regarding expectations on repair and they exceeded that. There were no games, which I have experienced with other dealerships. It was very refreshing and a great experience all the way through the process. Highly recommend them.

Came in for oil change and tire rotation when they werent very busy and it took almost 2 hours and left with a quote for $2800 in repairs and service that was need per my mileage. Ummm no....nothing is wrong with my truck. I think they should perform the service I wanted and saved me the time in quoting everything else that they will never see the money for.

Never experienced such annoying ppl like steve at Bill Kay in my entire life. only queried about a car in September. since then, he has put my number in an automated kind of dialer and calls me daily. told them via email that im not in the market any longer. blocked their numbers on my phone but their automated voice will leave voice mail everyday. planning to report them to BBB for, i’d say, harassment. happy i didnt buy from them.. and never will in future either.

I had a really good experience buying my car at Bill Kay. Herb Brooks was really helpful. I had done the leg work, knew what I wanted and had an approval letter from the loan company. The only thing I did not like was that, even with my approval letter, they put hard inquiries on my credit report looking at other financial institutions. Maybe they were trying to get me a better rate? All ended up good so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.
My credit history wasnt good. I had been turned down at SEVERAL dealerships; including one I work for part-time. I inquired abt a new vehicle online and was lucky to have Brandon Dahlgren as my salesperson. While I stated my credit issues, I had a solid payment history with my then car loan company. Additionally, my income was more than sufficient. This wasnt an easy deal. This took a lot of patience and finesse from Brandon. He knew my desperation of needing a safe reliable car. He knew my frustration of being turned down. He NEVER stopped working for me. He reached out to Kim at the Nissan store. He knew that she had connections at the bank and asked for a favor. I spoke to Kim and she was telling me that the bank would approve me. Yea, ok, I heard that before. But, she literally had me approved in a BRAND NEW VEHICLE. Not only did I get a new vehicle, I got the vehicle I really wanted; 2020 GMC Terrain. Can I just say how much my husband and I are in love with this vehicle?! Took my car in for an initial service issue as well as some routine maintenance, picked my car up only to find that the warning light that was to be corrected came back on. The dealership quickly reschedule to visit for me and have come up with a solution that should solve the problem completely. They were understanding that this was something that they did not catch but are working quickly to correct it. Overall A satisfied service visit.

This is not the same Bill Kay Buick I used to know. I bought my car here a couple years ago and was given the best car buying experience anyone could ask for. Whenever my car need service I would have rather taken the hour and a half drive to have them work on it. I had 2 warranty issues since Ive bought my vehicle, the first time I had it in for warranty everything went well. (5 stars) Today I picked up my vehicle after a I had something fixed my car had an oily fluid on the inside of my door and had a big chip of paint in my bumper, they also must have stopped washing the outside of customers cars after servicework because that wasntdone either. I checked my car up and down before I left it to them and of course they have a condition report with the scratch on it. They never showed me that condition report til after I mentioned the scratch. Also everyone who works there now is new. It feels like a whole new dealership. Im very disappointed this used to be a great place to buy your new vehicle. Ive recommended so many people to go to bill kay but now Im sorry but think Ill be looking to get my next car and service somewhere else.
Quick and easy visit!
Recently, I was looking for a second car and I came across a vehicle I thought would suit me at this dealership. I saw the price online and decided to call the dealership to see if there was room on the price; I am not one to casually go from place to place without doing my homework first so I made a quick phone call to this dealership. The gentleman on the phone informed me that he still had the car and that I could come in and view it. I told him I had been looking around to see similar vehicles and had known a fair price for this time of car I was interested in. Therefore, I asked if there was room on the price beforehand because I am not one to waste time for either people involved. Immediately, he informed me that there is room on the price. Once I drive to this dealership, I walked in asking for the man I spoke with. A different person came up to me stating he could help me with my car I inquires. So, I sat with him, explained that I liked the car they had there but think it wasn’t overpriced because of multiple others cars with the same mileage and luxury as this one. Long story short, he came back with an overall price that didn’t drop a penny, an interest rate that made me seem like I had a 300 credit score but in fact I have a 700 credit score! In short, they made no effort to negotiate the precise, Freud to jack me with an interest rate above 10% when I got interest rates of 5 at multiple different dealerships, and he was beyond disrespectful and in professional. We are all in the world of making money but it takes certain people to completely rip off people for their own selfish benefits. Avoid this place by all means so that you can go to a trustworthy dealership for a fair price.
My family and I recently was in search of a vehicle after ours was totaled. After walking out of several dealerships I found myself at Bill Kay GMC. My sales person was Issac and he was very personable and attentive. They had several vehicle we were interested in, one specific my wife wanted to see. We found out it was at another dealer and Issac made arrangements to have it brought over. It was clean and exactly what we wanted. We went through the entire process without a hitch. They even popped popcorn for our kids, keeping them busy! They understood our current situation and worked with us. Even the finance person Mike was very helpful and got us a great rate. Several days later I got a call from Issac and he said he had located the spare key for our new vehicle and said stop by any time to grab it. That went above and beyond and is GREAT customer service in my book. Over all I had a great experience here and would highly recommend this dealer to anyone. I dont usually write reviews but after working with Bill Kay and already knowing buying a new vehicle can be a hassle they made the experience painless.
