Wonderful place and great people at Pugi!!! Pete was my salesman and put no pressure on me to buy a car at all. I told him I wasnt sure what I wanted so was going to keep looking and I expected a fight but he thanked me for stopping and gave me his card. After I left I kept thinking about the car I drove and went back and bought it. Pete was wonderful and sat in the car with me explaining every button and feature that my Kona has. He even set up my phone in the car and downloaded all my contacts. Also, he cleaned my car himself!!!! Great car. Ive had it for 2 days and love love love my Kona!!!! Hyundais have the best warranties too.

I would have gladly rated this dealership 5 stars, but one member of the staff was rude and made me uncomfortable. I would say who, but I do understand that sometimes people just have an off day, and hopefully thats all it was. I hope things get better for that person, and they can represent the dealership better.
2021 is a rough time to be buying a new car. Inventory is low and cars sell as soon as they hit the showroom. I was quite nervous about starting the search since my current car was 20 years old. What a delightful experience to have the exceptional service at Pugi. Everyone was very friendly and very professional. Ross took great care in providing details of various models and I was easily able to decide which model best suited my need and style. The patience in providing details of the financing were fantastic. Every question answered. All the advance technologies I would encounter with a 2022 vs my 2002 were initially mind boggling. Ross provided a thorough tutorial, I left comfortable and confident. I highly recommend Pugi Hyundai. You will not find better!

Unbelievable poor customer service. I have purchased two cars from this dealership but will never purchase another one. There service department has lied several times and once to my face. Took me going to Hyundai corporation to get action and found out that they had never submitted to corporation on issue. Once I got it to corporate they approved the next day. Service department never even apologized for lying to my for weeks. Now I have brought my car in for the paint repair job and they have had it for over a month. Told me it would finally ready this week and yet I have never heard back from them.I appreciate your follow up, but now for two weeks your rep has told me that my car would be complete and now for the second week, I have still not gotten it. Sorry, but this experience continues to be horrificSTAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP,, They might be fine to sell you the car, but look out when you need service. They have had my car for 7 weeks now and no updates. I think they lost it

I worked with Joe Stach to locate a new 2022 Palisade. The top trim levels are really hard to find but Joe was able to reserve one that was on its way to the dealership. The entire transaction took about 15 minutes on the phone, and a little over an hour at the dealership when I picked it up. Easiest car purchase Ive ever made!

Were threatened with a last minute MSRP markup, were made to purchase an extra care plan, and then sign a document saying that the plan is NOT required to purchase the car and it was a challenge to make them honor the APR which was given to us in writing by the sales team.

After other dealerships were being dishonest and trying to bait and switch me all week, I was extremely frustrated with my car search.Kelli from Pugi reached out to me and she was very pleasant, kind, helpful, and patient with me on the phone. She knew I was shopping around at other dealerships, so she texted me a few options. I mentioned to her that I was looking for a specific interior color that they didn’t seem to have in stock at the time.Sure enough, the next day she mentioned that Pugi had recently received exactly the color I was looking for! I made the appointment for the next day and was told to ask for Joe’s associate Ron.When arriving at the dealership, Ron had already been briefed on the discussions Joe and I had from the previous day and was well prepared. He set up the test drive for me, confirmed the pricing I had already discussed with Joe, and even explained all of the cool features of my new vehicle. At first everything seemed amazing. I was in and out with my new vehicle in no time, customer service was amazing from the sales team to the finance department on April 10. However, upon calling to submit my initial car payment I was told by the finance company that there was no record of me purchasing the car from them. I then realized on my credit report, my credit was run 3 additional times on June 15, 2 full months AFTER I already signed MY contract with THEM to send to the finance company. I went to the dealership and spoke with them in regards to this and they informed me that the finance company lost the contract documents and they needed to rerun my credit (without my written consent) AGAIN to draft a new contract. They then told me that I had 2 options. Sign the new contract and make my first payment, or turn the car in. I then asked for a day or so to think about it and out of good faith for their multiple mistakes that they submit my car payment which they denied. So I decided to turn the car in as my experience was then ruined to the point I couldnt even drive the car without the thought of them and how the screwed me over. I called and let them know I would be turning the car in and I wanted my down payment back, I was told in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner that I would not be getting my down payment back, I was leasing the car from them, and it wasnt their fault the finance company didnt get the papers so they are keeping the down payment. Mind you this isnt the first, second or even third car that Ive purchased, this is my SIXTH vehicle and I have never had anything even remotely close to this happen to me or be spoken to in such a condescending and disrespectful manner. If you value your credit, money, and time DO NOT go to Pugi Hyundai of Downers Grove. They dont even deserve the 1 star Im leaving.

Unexpectedly my check engine light went on, so i stopped in here to see what the problem was. I had such a great experience! Glen was the one who really helped me out, he greeted me so fast, got all my information right away! It was nice too because he kept me updated and all the staff was so friendly. I had my 6 month old baby with me and I felt really comfortable. They had a very nice spacious waiting area with coffee, computer use and vending machine. I worked with Dominick on an unexpected issue with my car that left it undriveable more than 35 mph. I went to the dealer without an appointment and was the first to arrive at 7am. The dealership is currently undergoing mechanics on strike so the time for completion was expected to be extensive (apprx 1 week) without any loaners available. Dominick arranged a ride home for me and was able to take care of the car and have it looked at the same day. Magic! My car was fixed and ready that afternoon. Dominick also arranged for a ride back to the dealership. So impressed with the turnaround time in an unfortunate situation. Thank you!
Just moved to the area and bought a Hyundai (not from Pugi) and was a looking for a reliable and trustworthy dealership to get my Sante Fe serviced. I landed on Pugi after reading the reviews and after getting my last 2 oil changes here I don’t know that I’d take my car anywhere else. The service is quick, affordable and the people are friendly and straight forward. I’ve always been weary of where I’m taking my cars for service and have only fully trusted the dealership I worked at back in high school but Pugi Hyundai service seems great so far.
I had a scheduled service appointment for the end of August which had to be rescheduled due to a union strike of their mechanics. Understandable. Rescheduled for two weeks later. I stated I really need a loaner to which the scheduler said no problem, and was the reason why my original appointment was scheduled three weeks out from my original call. I arrive for my appointment and was told there is no loaner available. Frustrated, I walk in to talk to the service manager and was told that there is no way I would have gotten one to begin with because my car is only in for diagnostics and not a repair. My car was in for an engine hesitation, pungent odor when closed up for a while (headrest issue, for which there is a TSB) and an oil change. I was clearly frustrated as Ive been trying now to get this car serviced for over a month and was basically told to just leave. Unfortunately, for me I lost the convenience of a dealership that is relatively close to my home and they certainly lost me as a future customer.

I was ghosted by Pugi Hyundai.I’ve never had so much trouble trying to get in contact with a car dealership before. I’m in the market for a new car and after extensive research, decided that the new 2022 Tucson was a perfect fit. I chose to contact Pugi Hyundai due to their stellar reputation and overall positive reviews from previous car buyers and made the trip from downtown Chicago all the way out to Downers Grove, even though I have at least three Hyundai dealerships closer to my home.It all started out great, I was greeted by Michael Park who got me into a Tuscon for a test drive. Afterwards, it was shared that the trim and color I wanted wasnt available at the dealership yet, but shipments were coming within a month. I put down a reservation deposit and left happy.Fast forward to a month later, I sent Michael an email to follow up and see if there was any update. He replied stating no update yet, but my spot is reserved in line and he’d let me know as soon as he saw a delivery date. That was the last update I received. I tried multiple times to get in contact with Michael via email and phone with no luck. I emailed the sales manager thinking that Michael might have left the dealership, but also received no response from him.Its now two months later and I still do not have a vehicle with no update from Pugi. I’ve had car buying experiences that have been extremely pressured-filled by the salesperson, but I have never had the experience of the complete opposite. An extreme disappointment.Update: I was finally able to get in touch with someone at the dealership.
It was easy to make an appointment online and they serviced my vehicle and washed it before I paid the bill. They notified me of a new recall and said they would contact me once the part was delivered to them. Efficient and the price for my service was reasonable.
From the first contact with this dealer until I drove away in my new vehicle, it was smooth sailing. Ive purchased many new cars & this was by far the best experience Ive ever had. I would recommend you stop by & see Joe for a fabulous car buying experience!

I had amazing service the first time I brought my car here for just an oil change. I went back the second time because I had some leaks, was told it’d be only $600 and that it would only take about 3-4 hours so I set up my appointment because he told me that they had the parts. Go to my appointment only for them to not call me after 8 hours so I had to call them to check the status on my car and.. he then tells me the parts were not there yet that he’d call me back the next day so okay I was fine with that. However, my car was ready 3 days later… and my bill came out to $900 after I was told it’d only be $600. So thank you very much..

Pugi Hyundais inbound sales system seems disorganized if you try to call in for quotes/info. Though, my boyfriend and I visited in person and were able to easily meet with our sales rep Marco who was very helpful and trustworthy. We ended up purchasing a Hyundai Tucson from him and he made the process as straightforward as possible. Weve also since visited Pugi Service a couple of times and both have been great experiences!

I would give this dealer and their service department 0 stars if it was an option. I had a warranty issue with my car. I needed a new transmission. It was during the strike, so they had no mechanics. Anytime I called for an update, the service guy I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive. Turns out, whoever they had install my transmission did not complete the process currectly (this is after they had my car for 6 weeks too). Why was my car never checked over by the service manager, especailly since it was something as important as the transmission? The car wasnt even test drove. My car was also filthy dirty in and out and also scratched. I immediately made an appointment at Darcy Hyundai to have them look over my car because it did not feel as if it was shifting properly. Before I could even make it to the dealer, my car stalled. Luckily, they found the problem and fixed it within 2 days. I originally did a survey for this dealer about my experience, got a call, and was asked to recomplete the survey so that they looked better. However, after what I encountered, I instead contacted corporate Hyundai.I understand that employees are low due to the strike and the pandemic. I wasnt mad about the time frame. I was mad about how my car was not fixed correctly and the treatment I recieved while unfortunately having my car in Pugis possession. As a previous customer service worker, I wouldnt recommend anybody to go here.Stay away. Go somewhere else.

Took my vehicle for service and everyone else was being called by their name and received the greeting of the day. Us on the other hand were given finger signals no paperwork and not even the keys to our vehicle. The manager was very rude and unprofessional.

I was there the other day looking at a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and it wasnt the best experience. I was looking to trade in my vehicle and they wouldnt even budge $500. The person I was working with didnt even seem to care that I was there and was more focused on another appointment he had selling a RAV4. Even trying to budge $500 he didnt even bother to see if the manager would be willing to debate it with me, but he just sat there as if he didnt even want to be at work. I will not be revisiting this location.

Excellent service. The staff is kind and informative. The waiting room has two vending machines as well as a Starbucks coffee machine with complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and hot water with Lipton tea bags. The service is typically prompt and they always wash and hand dry your car before you leave. Located right off of Ogden.

It ended up coming in August and we picked it up last week. What a smooth buying process from start to finish. They are honest, easy to work with and super friendly. After visiting two other Chicagoland Hyundai dealerships and facing surprise upcharges and add-ons and hidden fees that added another $2,500-3,500 to the advertised price of a car, Pete D and Pugi Hyundai surprised us in another way: a straight-forward approach! Before setting foot on the lot, Pete D and I agreed to terms over email, and upon arriving at the dealership, everything moved ahead as promised without an ounce of drama. On top of that, Pete D was very knowledgeable when introducing us to our new car. If you want to eliminate the games, try Pete D and Pugi Hyundai.

Called to inquire about a GV70. The salesman was very short and said “nope. It will be a few months. Thanks. Bye.” Did not ask for my information and hung up on me. I will absolutely not do business with a dealership that treats potential buyers this way, especially when spending over $60k on a vehicle.

Offered $5500 for trade in on vehicle with KBB Trade In Value of $8800-9800 in FAIR condition even though car was in good condition. After beating Petey up for a while and getting him up to a fair price on trade in, then they couldn’t honor the True Car price. Said “I’d have to talk to True Car about why the price was wrong” even though it’s the dealers who enter their own pricing. Classic bait and switch. Sleazy.
When we decided to look for a new car we already knew the make but needed to find a dealer. We decided to try Pugi Hyundai, since we have gone by it so often, and I am very glad we did. The salesman, Ron Lubben, was the best salesman we have ever had, and we have had many over our lifetime. This is the first salesman that asked questions and gave us answers without pushing. We knew what we wanted before we went looking and we had some questions about others. Ron gave us all the answers and we decided to buy. We are very happy with the whole deal.
