The burrito was great, and I really enjoyed the cappuccino. The iced latte with vanilla was ok, but the syrup was a bit too strong for me.
Its a shame how bad the service has gotten in the last 3-6 months. I used to always come in on my break from work, things were a little overpriced but it was tasty and the people were nice.Seems like they replaced everyone so now everytime I go it takes them about 10 minutes to simply pour me a black coffee that was already made. I cant come here in between breaks anymore because they simply take too long and have even forgotten my order on several occasions. Its a shame the service is so slow now but my wallet will thank me by coming less.
Coffee was very good with a nice outdoor area with limited seating However, food menu is very limited and the service is relatively slow even compared to other local coffee places Ive been to. If you want a good cup of coffee and have the time to search for parking and wait in line Id recommend. If youre looking for a quick cup of coffee in would not.
I love their homemade oat milk and breakfast burritos. The cold brew is also v tasty.
Awesome spot to sit inside or outside as they have a good amount of seating. WiFi is a nice bonus too! The americano ($3) was good and a lot of people were ordering their homemade burritos, but I canβt speak to the food but the next visit Iβll be sure to try it. Nice people and good area for some people watching.
Good place to meet up, chill out, or get some work done with a delicious drink and bite to eat.
Used to be really good but lately the milk is always sour and nothing seems fresh
I love this place - it might be my favorite coffee shop in Denver. The drinks are delicious and the shop is quaint. It has a neighborhood-y feel and has beautiful outdoor seating.
Delightful!! Limited food menu (pastries and breakfast burritos) but they do everything well.
The coffee is excellent and the food it really great too! However, I really wish they had the food prices on the menu to know what to expect! The indoor and outdoor seating is very nice as well.
I was rather disappointed with the flat white I ordered. It was ok, but not great. Very bland. That said, I will certainly go back and give another try, as I LOVE the setting, space, customer detail, and vibe. This feels to me like a 4* place, but not when I visited.
Its a short walk from my place. I usually go up on Saturday and Sunday mornings for a dirty chai. They use Bhakti Chain from Boulder. Lots of ginger flavor. The staff has always been great, friendly, accommodating, helpful, and good at their jobs. I also like their whole bean coffee, and I even bought a coffee grinder from them. I researched what the best household burr grinder was, and they actually stocked that very grinder, the only one they stock I guess. Anyway, its a great place for coffee and coffee supplies, and for hanging out with friends while meeting new friends.
Nice shop that feels way less cookie cutter than the big chain with lots of outside seating and character.
Great coffee and service. Very nice lattes, baked goods, and breakfast burritos.Theyve set up outdoor seating in their parking lot for the COVID situation. No reason to not stop by and support local business!
This is a great low-key place to get coffee and breakfast burritos. I was extremely excited when I saw that gluten free breakfast burritos were an option. Also, their drinks are delicious as well. My favorite part of this shop is the large patio for people to eat and drink on. I would recommend this place.
My favorite coffee spot in Denver. Incredibly delicious coffee, decent breakfast burritos that hit the spot for me almost every morning. My favorite is the environment on the patio, surrounded by trees and neighborhood and SO MANY GREAT DOGS. All the batistas are super sweet and helpful too.
This is a great neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly service, good cappuccinos and delicious pastries.
Great neighborhood gathering spot. Love the vibes.
They always run out of pastries super early like around 9am. Its like why not order more since there is such a demand... I dont know, really good homemade oat milk and lavender syrup which is amazing in their oat milk lattes and lavender fields iced tea. Worth checking out.
This location has been many coffee shops, but Downpours is, IMHO, far and away the best. Their home-made chai tea/latte and pumpkin spice are fantastic, and their burritos are also great. And the venue really cant be beat.
I came in yesterday to order a burrito and get some work done in the cafe. There was one table open and a barista who works there skipped ahead of me and took the open table, leaving me no where to sit even though I ordered food. When I told her that I ordered food to sit and get work done, she and the other barista shamed me for wanting to sit there despite me being a customer and the employee not actively working or buying anything.
Lavender mocha and Gingerbread latte are a must! Staff is super chill and laugh at my dumb dad jokes. Local and accessible via some super cool sidewalks :)
My husband and I love Downpours. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is so comfortable. We love all the outdoor seating and the low-key and relaxed vibe. Itβs super close to our home, so we walk here on weekends, and its something we look forward to all week.
Georgia always brightens up my day. π»
Easy going, great staff. Menu has perfect selection of items. Hit it up without hesitation...
Good coffee and pretty decent breakfast burritos (could use more cheese/ potatoes in my opinion). Very friendly staff and nice seating area.
I cannot believe this place is so popular. Every time Iβve been the beans have been burnt and undrinkable. Not only is the coffee bad, the management is horrible to the staff. The turnover rate of the baristas is incredibly high because the management treats the staff so poorly. But the croissants are good, so I guess theyβve got that going for them.
Absolutely sickening place! There are too many coffee shops in the city to go to this one! I am literally appalled by the lack of respect for others in this establishment. The hiring manager has such a blatant disrespectful attitude and absolutely no interest in communicating. again, there are too many places in the city to get coffee do not go to the worst one!! The hiring manager needs to be fired himself! Appallingly bad communication and customer service skills
I got an excellent latte. The outdoor seating area was comfortable and well laid out.
Short walk from my place love their coffee and more importantly their breakfast burrito which are amazing!
Not only is it excellent coffee, served by very nice people, but their large-for-the-space parking lot (it is a converted gas station of very long yesteryear) allows them to scatter tables very broadly and, now that leaves have fallen, with sun on most of them, so it should stay usable in Denver through much of the winter,
Fantastic coffee shop tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Get off the beaten path and spend your money locally. Wonderful coffee plus scratch made burritos, pastries, syrups and almond milk. This location has indoor and outdoor seating with some huge trees providing great shade.
Downpours is great. The burritos and drinks are delicious. My only complaint is that some customers are not respecting the mask requirements. They just sit inside the building playing with their laptops, not eating, not drinking and not wearing a mask.
My wife and a good friend loved to frequent this coffee shop back when it was a Daz Bog. Corporate shenanigans put an end to that particular franchising, and it became another coffee shop - I canβt remember which one... wait! Ive got it. It was Genessee Coffee, for a bit. Now it is a Downpours. My wife and our friend tried to like this new coffee shop iteration, really they did, but nothing met with their satisfaction. Iβll tell you one thing, though. It has a welcoming and natural exterior, with trees and bushes galore, and lots of shade throughout the day. Itβs a pastoral setting in an urban area. The big garage doors can open on nice days, too, letting the breeze into the building. I donβt know of another coffee shop that can compete with these attractions.
The only good thing about this place is the location but thatβs hardly enough to make it worth someoneβs time and money. The coffee is always watery and flavorless and the food selection is pithy. Not a single vegan option, and the βaward winning burritosβ are literally pre-made, frozen, and put on a panini press to warm them up again. I wouldnβt recommend... there are other, better places to go in the neighborhood.
My favorite coffeeshop in the world, but it is the breakfast burritos that you need in your life. I know that these are fighting words in Colorado, but Downpours Coffee is in the conversation for Best Breakfast Burrito in Denver every year. You cannot beat the staff, and theyre incredibly dog friendly with the patio.
I love their fresh juice best. And on their menu is a delicious Thai Iced tea. For coffee, Id recommend drip or a macchiato (Italian style, thankfully). They have excellently spaced outdoor seating and open-garage style indoor seating available during Covid - both great options while we are still in the first wave. The staff have always been really lovely, so I consistently look forward to returning.
Such a great place to grab some good coffee. βP.S. They make their own oat and almond milk which is amazing!!
Cute place! Employees were super nice and welcoming. They recommended the Boulder Blues Iced Tea thats strawberry and rhubarb flavored if I remember correctly. Super tasty and refreshing!
Very tasty decaf coffee with almond milk. Service is amazing.
Great coffee shop. Its about as expensive as Starbucks and the quality of the drinks are infinitely better. They have a nice loyalty program were you buy a certain amount of drinks and get one free. The only downside to this shop is that seating can be scarce, especially during the weekend.
Great latte, lovely outdoor space, good place to do come catching up or working!
Great place to bring your furry friend and get a house made almond milk latte. In love with their breakfast burritos. A staple in our Saturday mornings.
Really cute coffee shop that felt a lot like a tiny Blue Bottle. Nice, airy space inside, plenty of sidewalk seating. Appreciated the coffee selection and few pastries. I thought it was cute that they had dog treats/were very dog-friendly. The ice coffee was great!
Their oat milk is made in house and was delicious in my latte. Will be returning soon
Decent chai. Seemed a little watered down but good flavor. I would recommend working on the interior space though. Seems like a lot of unused counter space and misused lobby space. Could add chairs at the counter for more seating, or remove some of the very wide counter and pull back the bar toward the kitchen and add a few high top tables, and could make the seating in the lobby itself more user friendly with different seating configurations. Otherwise the location has always been amazing. Cheers!
Dont be that silly person who makes a decision based on a single 1 star review. This place is AMAZING. Autumn is in the air and Im sipping a latte made with homemade almond milk, accented with house made ginger syrup. A but weird, but definitely delicious. Where else can you get a ginger latte?! Also having a breakfast burrito with bacon, which is a nice way to start the day! Delicious as the coffee and food are, the location is what really sells it. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the large patio is surrounded by bunches of trees. It feels like adorable small town coffee, but in the middle of the city. And there are outlets outside around the patio, which is helpful. π
Visiting from Texas and wish I could take this coffee shop back with me! So friendly and the coffee is amazing.
Great coffee and service make sure you get their bacon breakfast burritos!
Friendly staff, good coffee!
Great breakfast burrito and green chilis
Excellent breakfast burritos!
One of my favorite coffee shops in Denver. The drinks and food are pricey, but I have enjoyed everything I have gotten here (The croissants are very yummy and their hibiscus tea is amazing!). I have never had an issue finding a table here (although I do typically get here on the earlier side, by around 9ish). There are good parking options, the staff is always nice, and the patio is dog friendly, as well as having outlets (which I have never found on another patio anywhere! So great!). Wonderful place to spend the day working!
Coffee is delicious and staff friendly. Great location. The patio is setback from the street with beautiful foliage and trees. Feels like youre in Europe. Dog friendly.
Thereβs a lot to want to like about Downpours, and theyβre a great location on this side of Cheesman Park. Thereβs some not to like too.If youβre hanging out inside, be prepared to deal with some loud machinery in the kitchen. Dishwasher? Jackhammer? You decide. The sound was enough to physically hurt.Other than that, know that this is yet one more of Coloradoβs all-too-plentiful, lighter-roast, acidic-brew coffee houses. If you love the full, great, dark roasts of France and Italy, this is yet another place where you wonβt find it.Fantastic croissants, though.
Enjoyed our coffee and almond croissants here! Only wish there was a little more on the menu for food. The breakfast burrito was the only thing of substance and was actually very good, just wish there was more! Would come back for coffee and a light pastry next time!
They should really stop making hot chocolate. Im not a coffee drinker so I always order hot chocolate when I go to coffee shops with other people. I ordered a very expensive hot chocolate from them which wasnt on their menu. I soon discovered why its not on their menu. If you cant make hot chocolate thats even edible you should probably just not make it at all. I cant speak to the coffee since I dont drink coffee but the hot chocolate is definitely one to miss.
Nice atmosphere. Good coffee. One of my favorite places.
What a great neighborhood coffee shop!! Really like their vintage, homey interior and the outdoor patio where I met the coolest black dog. They did a great job on my Flat White here.
Lovely place to study and work. Good coffee, good breakfastburritos.
Gotta say this place is my favorite for comfort factor alone. Coffee is comparable to competitors nearby but OH MAN the fact that this place is nestled in a ton of trees in a residential area is the best. Great place to have a slice of peace and get work done or just relax.
Friendliest staff and best almond milk in town!
This morning, I walked down the street hoping to find a coffee shop, and came across Downpours. Its too bad my coffee tasted burnt! Ill give it one more shot, before it gets the cut. Hoping it was a random thing.. Well see
Quiet little coffee shop near the Botanic Gardens. Try the Thai Iced Tea -- its excellent!
Simply superb. Fantastic service, really great ambiance. The coffee is delightful and the breakfast burritos are not to be missed! My favorite cafe in Denver. Great neighborhood spot.
I just moved into the neighborhood and was excited to learn Downpours is only 2 blocks from my house. This peaceful spot will be my new go to neighborhood coffee/breakfast/work hub. They make their own almond milk, delicious breakfast burritos, and super yummy coffee. Each time Ive been there the barristas have greeted me with a warm smile and are also extremely knowledgeable about the beans they sell and pour. Great place!
Loved the breakfast burritos. Great spot.
Nice, quiet coffee shop with lots of outdoor seating
Great neighborhood coffee shop. Really yummy drip coffee. Good music. Outdoor seating. I find that I am always very productive here.
Ordered an Americano which tasted weak and bland. I watched the espresso pull and it took about 3 seconds, is this normal? It is my understanding this should take longer to extract the flavor. I will continue going to coffee shops that maintain quality, this would be Huckleberry or Novo, which never disappoint. Downpours is not a high end place for espresso drinks.
LOVE the Nitro Cold Brew!
Fun spot, had a nice cup of joe and a breakfast burrito with my old friend from MT.
I dined in at Downpours Coffee. It is busy but quiet local coffee shop on 12 th ave which is not athrough road so not a lot of traffic. Some pastries, espressos and the have oitstanding, overstuffed breakfast burritos. Either vegitarian or carnivorous. These are large, obviously handmade earlier in the morning. The staff unwraps the burrito from its foil cocoon and puts it in a panini machine. They come out presented toasty and savory. Breakfast burritos are what they are good at. Get coffee, relax and eat a breakfast burrito.
Great to have a coffee shop here after the last one closed (not because of lack of traffic), and it seems like the people in Congress Park have really embraced Downpours. Burritos are decent and ready quickly, and they seem to be expanding the pastry selection every day.
Always a good experience! The staff are friendly, the patio is great and the patrons are fantastic. Price point is right on and it seems to be a great place to meet friends, decompress and also network professionally.Try to get in 1-2 times a week.
Cute and spacious coffee shop. Decent selection that isnt overwhelming and reasonably priced. I tried the earl grey tea and was happy with my choice!
I was really excited that a new coffee shop *finally* opened in this space again, but became quickly disappointed upon visiting for the first time. Not only is this place VERY expensive, but their quality is not good. Although I give them props for making homemade almond milk, it is gritty and hard to swallow. Their coffee is bitter and quite honestly, not easy to drink. Plus, (although this may have changed), they do not have any gluten free pastries. Yes, you can get a gluten free tortilla, but at an exorbitant up charge. I recommend going elsewhere for your coffee! Save money and your taste buds!
Great espresso amd breakfast burritos
Excellent coffee and service. Only thing that could make it better would be to make the two private bathrooms both gender neutral instead of publicly welcoming only men and women.
Very friendly staff. Simple and concise manual. More than ample outside seating.β¦ Perfect for friendly neighborhood dogs. Quite a lovely place.
Awesome outdoor patio! Reasonably priced drinks and homemade burritos. Give it a shot:)
Where do I begin? This is my favorite coffee shop in town. First, they make everything themselves. Almond milk, chai, syrups, breakfast burritos, bagels and croissants! The service is great! I go here at least twice a week for the chai! Love love love. Great people who own it too! Support local!
Always closing randomly. I walked all the way there today just to get turned away. They might want to consider paying their employees more. I use to go here all the time but now you have no idea if they will be open so I donβt think I will be back anymore
My favorite coffee shop. Period. Lattes are PERFECT, breakfast burritos perfect. Really personable staff. Can get crowded on holidays (remote workers etc)
Adorable and quaint little neighborhood coffee shop with the BEST coffee, yummy croissants, ample breakfast burritos, and friendly baristas! I took my coffee aficionado daughter over to try this place out... she loved it and so did my granddaughter who had a frothy mug of warm steamed milk! She definatley loved it ... proving so by proudly showing off her Milk mustache! One of the owners came to visit with us, my daughter was impressed, as he is also a Coffee Connoisseur .... I must admit they had a language all their own! So cool they make all their almond milk, syrups, fresh juices etc. We all agreed this place is a neighborhood gem!
Very relaxed and cool (aka chill) vibe! Great coffee grinder and beans and espresso machine. Quality spot.
Great coffee shop, were sold out of pastries when I got there though. :( Amazing patio too have a coffee on though.
Coffee was good but the wait was long and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Further, lack of wifi made it challenging to get any work done and the shop itself was loud and overstimulating. Probably better options in Denver.
Hello! Food and coffee are great, but could you please post your phone number online. I wanted to place an order to go so I could pick it up on my way to work, but there was no way for me to contact you.
Great place to do some work, lots of tables to set up and be unbothered by all who are around. Had the Nitro Coffee and it was great, felt like it was extra strong in the caffeine department which happened to be what I was looking for for my work day
Such a quaint place to meet for a cup. The vegetarian breakfast burrito is awesome.
Great local neighborhood coffee shop for all ages. Dont go to Starbucks. Hit these guys up.
