Everything was good until they hired or just let a certain lady call about your payments. She clearly should not be a receptionist! She can’t read a calendar or calculate math correctly ! According to her when you make a payment your still behind the same amount . And then not even before the call hangs up she’s says the correct balance you originally told her.

Sheisters! Watch out! I financed a car from them in August of 2019 set to pay off for 24 months. All is fine. I make my payments on time blah blah blah. About 5 months before the car is set to be paid off, I call to get the overall balance because I am just about ready to pay it off. I ask the woman on the phone, what my balance was and shes all Youre account is in collections! Keep in mind I just made my regular scheduled scheduled monthly on-time payment 2 days prior. Of course I am shocked and she could not offer any explanation. I asked to talk to a manager and no one conveniently was there. I called later and requested a manager as well. No one ever called back. I moved out of state to attend college about 8 months after buying the car so I cant just run down there. I wanted to refuse to deal with the collections lawyer but their refusal to respond to my situation left me with few options. So I chose not to acknowledge the attorney by still submitting my payments to American Auto Sales. The collection lawyer isnt a bad guy and hes somewhat easy to get along with but the point is my account should not have been there to begin with. Our 1st phone call I reviewed all of my debit card statements with him and he checked his records as well and could not see why my account was with him and he continued to collect on it anyway. Trust me, I am really thinking about suing their A$$e$.Watch yourself. Pay ALL of your transactions to these guys with a debit card. It may save you later. They will actually sit there and at some point make YOU bear the burden to prove you made a payment 16 months prior. And you thought Pooh was Sheisty?

Im thankful they helped me get a car. But man working with them or getting a straight answer from someome is like pulling teeth. They call me for payments when they have already been made have changed the payment date on me a few times. When you ask to get an answer they just say well call you back. I thought is was a mistake the first time but happens every month. I wouldnt recommend just based on customer service alone

The staff here is amazing,very knowledgeable and extremely patient. They were able to get me into a very great car with low miles and a pretty low down payment, to make make it better even offered an extended warranty. I worked with Cole Black and I must say that him and his co workers definitely arent there to haggle you into a car and truly are looking out for you and what fits you and your budget. If youre in the market for a used car definitely stop by and give these guys a try, I can almost guarantee that you will not be dissatisfied at all. After dealing with American auto sales one understands why Car lots are given such bad reviews and American auto sales fits that grimy car lot theme. They dont stand on their word, once car is sold they are nowhere to be found and then talk to a person as if theyre skum. If I knew before hand I would never had given my business or ever referred anyone to such a low grade, disrespectful bunch of cowards. If you read this take your business elsewhere. Not out of hatred, pero out of experience.

Please save yourself the time and money. The only reason they getting the stars they are getting is because they are very friendly and work with you in your down payment. The bad part about it by time I make the two split down payments u already having car problems and they want you to pay. I took my car back next day the said nothing they could do to switch vehicle but promised to fix it .a month later still not fixed and have more issues.Had to have it towed in and instead of calling I had to continue to call them didn’t fix the first problem but told me I had to pay for what they did fix.

I have had nothing but issues since day 1 of purchasing the vehicle and had/have proof in writing that they would help fix it and I’ve been fighting it since May. I am new at purchasing a vehicle and am expecting baby #2 and now not only am I about to have a newborn and be out of work now I have to find a way to fix my vehicle I was told would be fixed when I bought it. They are really great at “talking” and making you feel like they are taking care of you but not at all do they actually care what they sale to its Just about the money and getting the vehicle out of their parking lot. This place will cost you more to fix the vehicle then the vehicle is worth be smart and go somewhere else, trust me!

This was the best shopping experience I have ever had in my life. Speaking to Martin on the phone is what made me want to come in in the first place. Then finally going in I met Cole I believe his name was TJ. It was the best experience! The approval time was literally within 15 minutes of me walking in the door. I was picking out a car within 20 minutes. The car that I chose was literally in the middle of being detailed. So while we waited Cole took us to lunch. When I say us I am speaking about me as well as my husband. We all crack jokes the whole time. The whole environment was so friendly and welcoming. I do not write reviews unless I believe it is warranted. This dealership is professional but they are professional scammers. They will sell you vehicles that were inspected and repaired at a EXTREMELY high cost but the repairs in reality are non-existent. My truck at the time of purchase was worth about $2,000 but they marketed it up to $6,700 ensuring me of no mechanical issues. The first month of ownership I had, and still have to this day an electrical issue that cannot be found. It affects the 4x4 system and dash, the main selling point of the truck and my safety. Over the last year and a half Ive also had to replace the entire fuel system twice, the oil pump, the mass air flow module, alternator, and the last I can recall was the CV axles (I never went off roading). Being in and out of my garage, the mechanic shop and all the required tows have cost me thousands of dollars, at least 4x what the truck is worth, not to mention all the hours missed at work. Be weary if you plan to purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

Please be very very careful with this company. Bought a 2002 Honda Accord from this company on December of 2015. I was told by Tyler, who doesnt work there anymore i wonder why that I was going to be making payments for no more than 2 years. I was also told that by getting my girlfriend to co sign I would be able to re finance the vehicle for lower payments in the future. I was also told that with the interest I wouldnt be paying more than the original loan which was a little under 8k. Well here I am a year later and the car has gone over to first eagle funding where I am being told that American auto told me whatever I wanted to hear to make the sale. So now Im also told I cannot refinance the car, so that was a lie. I was also told by first eagle that I have a total of 20 payments left on the loan which is a whole extra year than I was originally told by the employee at this company. So they lied about that too. Not only am I stuck making payments for another year I will not be able to refinance the vehicle. I urge you to get an attorney before you go down and are lied to like I was. Will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau as soon as I go down there and let them know myself.

I am not being paid to leave this review! American Auto has been very good to us so far. We purchased a 2000 Ford Explorer for our 18 year old daughter in December 2014. Less than 2 weeks later the Explorer shut itself down in the middle of a local apartment complex parking lot while being driven. We contacted American Autos and they referred us to their Tow driver and for a small fee of $65 he towed the Explorer to them. It was an alternator issue and they fixed it for us and didnt charge for the labor, parts or repair. They have worked with us on our down payment of $1000 being paid in 3 installments and overall they have been very easy to work with. Jorge was our Sales Rep and I really liked his honesty and his ability to speak to our daughter as if she was purchasing the car herself. Very nice group of gentleman.

Im going to give them one star because of the customer service and how they get people to buy cars from them. Now lets get to my horrible experience. I went in on Saturday and found a vehicle I wanted to purchase and went over the prices and agreement and make an arrangement to come back that Monday to purchase the car and put 1500 down. I went in on Monday and put 1500 down with my debit card and purchased car insurance . I had a rental car so I took it back to the airport and went on about my way. The next day in the middle of my twin boys doctor appointment around 2pm they called me and told me I was not approved and will have to bring the car back. So not only do I have to wait 3-5 business days to get my money back, I wasted money to insure the car, Im going to waste more money on ubers to get back and forth to work until I get the money back to purchase a new vehicle. I didnt act out or cause a scene, I gave them their car back and left politely . Im just upset because not only did I waste time and hard earned money Im in a more bad situation then I was before I went to AASALES I had a affordable rental car that I could have kept but I took it back after purchase and dont have the deposit to get another one . Avoid this dealership at all cost they will sale you something and screw you over with out giving a damn.

They sell vehicles unsafe to be driving. When you take it in to get fixed, they intentionally take longer. I tried to call multiple times only to be hung up on or get extreme attitude. There is absolutely no reason to treat customers like they do here. I was told If you want your car now Ill put the tires on and you can push it out by the manager.

I was looking for a used car in Denver and could not get financed at the big dealerships, they told me I need to find a BUY HERE PAY HERE. I found American Car Sales and they said all I need is $500 down. I went their and bought a used Chevy Silverado 1500, It could not have been any easier. Its been 4 months now and not one problem with my truck, I drive a lot up and down the mountains all the time for work. I truly feel I got a great deal and I just wanted to let you know.

I can only say the customer service is good but the car is horrible. I was a first time buyer and they gave me a car that needed way more maintenance then expected. First they were gonna replace the clutch handle... BTW the never fixed it then the rod to hold my truck open broke... They never fixed it then it so happens to be I need a new axcel and then I need struts... Keep in mind I only had this car for 2 weeks... Now I had this car less then 5 months and its starting to squeak. Its telling me I need to replace my power steering fluid.... Not a good car for a first time buyer.. Horrible car.... And for the little small car I have.. I pay a ridiculous price a month $305 for a non reliable car. Im very upset. Never going there again.. .

By far one of the easiest transitions I had to face. Back in 2018 I was rear ended which left my 2009 totaled. My finance company informed me of this lot. First time going there I looked at some vehicles. I noticed that they had some older vehicles but the gentleman helped me by prices. Since I had $500 to put down they allowed me to test drive just about all the vehicles. After finding a Pontiac with 70,000 miles I thought I was good to go. Noticed on day 2 the check engine light came on. Contacted my finance company and informed them that Im unhappy, they communicated and I got a call from T.J to bring it in for 4 days. They fixed it at first, next day the light came on again. Once again got a call to bring it in. They then informed me that the car was totaled and unsafe to drive and it would cost more to fix it. I went back about a week after all this and was told that I could pick a different vehicle within the budget of the Pontiac.Found a cute little Hyundai Accent 08 with under 90k miles. I LOVE my car guys. I was polite to them and they were polite back. I did need to pay another $500 but they gave me 2 weeks when I got paid again to pay it. I had the brakes, tires, engine all checked when I drove off the lot. Amazing job guys!!!! One year later and I have 1 1/2 more yrs to go before paid off.Idk what the other people experienced but mine deserves 5 stars.

Do Not buy from these guys they are a bunch of crooks. I got a car from them and 2 days later the check engine light came on and they said they would fix the issue. All they was clear the code. And now I have spent another grand fixing the issues they told me they did. Not happy I even tried to give them the care back with in the 5 days and they refused to take the car back. Now I stuck paying for this car on top of all the repairs.

My finace (a first time buyer) bought a car from them said he needed a SAFE family car he unknowingly paid almost double its worth. That same month we found out it needed bigger tires new shocks an alignment and new catalytic converters which cost around 85-130 each not to mention labor costs among a few other problems. We referred his cousin she said they took down his information to collect his $200 but when he called they he has no referrals and wont give him his $200..we should have read the reviews first

Just make sure you have a lawyer! Worse company ever! You will pass a hundred better places to give your money to. Any company that refuses to sign a paper saying you paid in full is a FRAUD company. The only company I know that will shut off your car for expressing your horrible experience. Thank God I have a second car! Making a better business bureau complaint as soon as I get home
