I did the online appraisal, got offer, made an appointment, and took it in. I waited about 20-30 minutes, then was given an approved appraisal. I said I wanted to sell now, so they started paperwork. About 30-45 minutes later, I had a check. Very smooth, easy policy. I forgot to take out my toll road transponder, and called. They still had it, and set it aside for us to pick up. All in all great experience.

When I made the decision to sell my 2018 Kia optima, I checked five other dealers on their offer, and Carmax offered me a price well over what the others were offering. The process was extremely simple I was in and out of there with a check within one hour. They were busy, and I was there earlier in the day but they were very efficient and pleasant to work with. I definitely will return when it comes time to buy another car

My husband and I stopped by to get his car appraised. We had a appointment time at 1730. As I’m looking around I saw nearly every employee on their phone at some point in time and some the whole time we were there. An hour and 15 minutes passed and we will had not heard anything, they said it would take a half hour. We kept our eye on the car and it never moved the parking spot were in. Finally my husband went to get the keys so we could leave because we couldn’t wait any longer with our 4 month old baby. When he spoke to the representative they magically had our quote done. However, the quote says there is roof damage, we found that interesting. When we left I looked at the roof of the car. Not a single scratch or dent in it. Which makes me think that they didn’t even look at the car. We got the quote we expected but I have no desire to sell a car to a business that appeared to have such a poor work ethic. I would rather shop/sell local.

Our experience at CarMax in Thornton was awesome! We were greeted immediately when we entered the facility and even though we didnt have an appointment the associate was able to accommodate us right away. Josh was an incredible sales person and made the entire process of buying a vehicle fun and easy! We left with the car of our dreams and we couldnt be more grateful for the entire team at CarMax!

Best car buying experience to date. Found my Mini Cooper on line and they shipped it up for me to drive. The car was better than I expected. JIM ADERMAN 5 STARS ALL AROUND! Jim my sales consultant was awesome, no pressure, answered all my questions. I felt like his main concern was that I was happy with the car and that my expectations were met. Ive bought many cars and even worked in auto sales and finance for about 4 years so I know the routine, this was a Wow!! Experience. Finance department was awesome and quick. My extended warranty was customized to fit my driving habits and deductible I wanted. Place was super clean and everyone was doing their part during this crazy pandemic. Worst experience I’ve had with carmax ever! I’ve bought three vehicles from there because they have always been great until my 3rd car. Getting my 3rd car has been the most inconvenient most stressful thing ever! Not only did it take forever to get the car signed over to us after they said it would take 2 weeks it took a whole month. Once I finally got the car there was a problem that needed to be fixed and they said it would take a few days and gave me a rental car that is too small for me and my three young kids. I called to see about getting a bigger rental and not only did they not try to help me with getting a bigger car but didn’t answer! It took me 5 times calling to get ahold of anyone just for them to say this is the biggest rental they have leaving me with out a way to get my kids or take them anywhere!

I would not recommending buying a car here. The buyer defaulted on the loan i cosigned on and when the car was a car i asked to have it repoed and they refused to help me. Since the buyer totaled and stripped it there still holding me responsible because they allow tge buyer to do whatever they want to do. On top of it they sold the car having defects but deny it because carmax mechanics claim bushing leak lol.

Do not bother bringing your car here. It is a waste of your time. My appraisal was 7000 online and now 5500. And they say there is just one person working in each area which is a lie cuz i got a different person from the one that appraised my car. I got here at 6pm and Im still waiting for my check. This CARMAX is great. I was able to have a truck shipped from TX to this location and the whole process was super simple.It arrived sooner than expected and Stephan was in constant communication with me until I came to test drive the vehicle.Stephan was waiting for me and took care of all my questions and even filled up the trucks tires himself.I couldnt have asked for a simpler process in purchasing a vehicle. Carmax was great to work with every step of the way. We decided to go through our bank financing after the purchase and Carmax provided all the information to our bank. I brought in my car to sell and wasnt looking for a replacement vehicle. Within about 30 minutes I had an offer that beat the other places I looked. Transferring ownership took another 30 minutes or so and I was out the door with bank draft in hand. All told, a very positive experience and CarMax will be my first choice the next time I have a car to sell.

Very disappointed at the communication and process of this carmax. Its now been 3 weeks since I requested a car to be transported and they have the poorest communication! They cant find the title to the car that I requested. The poor attempted help from the sales manager casey zachman takes weeks to reply. Nothing is moving. larry white was assigned to me when I requested this car and still... nothing. We ordered the car from Golden to Federal Heights. Receipts in hand if anyone higher up can help.

Was in quite the predicament but with needing a new car ASAP and the staff did their best to accommodate me. They recently started using a new e-banking form of payment, and with it being so new not many employees were familiar or proficient with the new payment platform. I worked with Jim, Gale, and Dallas the sales manager and all of them were great, but I have to shoutout Dallas for really caring about her customers and making right when something is done wrong. Huge shoutout to their staff!

I think I got a pretty good deal for my car and the process was relatively easy. The only issue I had was due to me having a loan on my vehicle the business office had to speak to a person with my lending company. This was not mentioned online, and I even spoke with someone in the business office the morning before my appointment to make sure I had everything I needed. They reported that I only needed my account number. When I went in for my appointment, I had to sit there for almost an hour before they even tried to reach someone at my bank. At that point my bank had closed. I had to leave and come back the next day to finish the transaction. I dont imagine Im in the minority of car sellers that have financing on their vehicle, so why isnt there a better system and screening process for this?

The initial process of test driving the vehicle was great. It was an easy process and they were very forward with the car, our sales rep was fantastic.Then came the negatives. To begin, the finance process was oddly not the problem, the quality of the car was. I spent a few minutes talking over some issues the car had that I was hoping to be revisited by the detail team. The cleanliness of the car was less than desirable due to dog hair on every seat, sticky stains on hard surfaces and sand/dirt within the wheel well. I pointed these problems out specifically to have cleaned, and when we received it for final drive home, the car was still a mess. I pushed forward because it was already 9:30pm. Another problem was the dents on the car. I asked to remove the rear Carmax bumper sticker, and in doing so they left a sizable dent in the rear hatch. Secondly, they said they removed all the previous dents form when the car was traded, but in the morning when I was looking the car over, BAM! There was a dent within the roof portion just above the windshield. Lastly, there were scratches on the vehicle I asked to be buffed out, and upon receiving the car, the scratches remained. Sadly, I can’t say the vehicle was in any suitable condition to truly inspect because even the engine bay was dirty. With a 40,000$ car, I’d expect more.The best part; Will! This salesman went above and beyond to ensure we had fluids, felt comfortable and enjoyed the buying process with his welcoming smile and knowledge about the financial aspects of a big purchase. I will continue to give praise as he put up with my 2 year old and never seemed disinterested in conversation. Glad he was there to ease some of the frustration with the quality of the car.All in all, I have to say I was less than impressed with the vehicle upon exit of Carmax property. The car itself is amazing, the standards that Carmax holds itself to need to be revised and enforced. I’d recommend friends to come to Carmax to buy a car, but would highly recommend they get a professional detail as I did after my purchase. They left a lot to be desired in a new vehicle!

I was scanning social media around 6 AM and saw a CarMax advertisement for an instant online offer. I thought, what do I have to lose? I filled out the information. In two minutes I had a confirmation email with the highest offer I had received on my truck yet. I thought, this can’t be right...so I made an appointment for 11 AM the same day. By 12 PM CarMax had contacted my bank, paid off my loan and cut me a check for the remaining balance of their offer! It was a super easy experience. I would definitely recommend at least getting an offer from them!

I would love to give a 5 star based on my customer rep who went far and above to take care of me. However, the rest of the process was not up to expectations. I had a vehicle brought to Colorado from Michigan after 3 months of searching fo just the right color, model, mileage and features. I received notice that it was delivered and the store was getting it ready. Before I was told it was available, it was released and sold to someone else.I was able to find a comparable vehicle. At the inspection on Saturday, I found a couple of minor things that needed to be taken care of and was told they would look at it on Monday before my purchase appointment at 5:00. It had not been done.In the past couple days, I have tried to call the service department and have not had the phone call answered, even by voice mail. One of the times, I let it ring for more 6 minutes before hanging up.

My experience ended on a good note thanks to the awesome service department. However, the process is not something I want to experience again.Attention to detail is not one of CarMaxs strengths. I had a few specific functional needs for a vehicle. Answers to important questions were answered incorrectly leading to lots of wasted time, money, and energy.The vehicle I ended up purchasing was shown to me completely filthy despite the fact I had made an appointment a day or two in advance to come check it out. Despite that, I still decided to test drive it. They cleaned it up after my test drive and it looked alright under their lights. However, when I drove it the following day in the daylight, I noticed the eleven year build up of dirt and grime permeating the seats and dash giving it a yellowish hue, the grime, dirt, and old crumbs, hair in every nook and cranny, the engine was covered in extreme dirt build up, the curtain rod with Styrofoam the previous owner had rigged into the cargo was still hanging. The salesman said that he didnt think cleaning up the engine was part of the detail job. It is rare to see a photo of a dirty engine in photos that are posted on their website. Also, the suv still smelled like the previous owner who had strong body odor. This vehicle was disgusting and I spent over two days detailing this suv myself. I got so much dirt and ground in filth out of the interior that it actually flaunts a different color! Pictured below are three of the ten magic erasers I carefully used to clean it. Perhaps they need better lighting or adopt new techniques. I would have rather waited an extra day for them to give it to me in good condition then to just rush through the process to move another car off their lot. This was extremely disappointing, especially when I brought it up to the salesman whose response was just, Well, what would you like us to do? I as a customer shouldnt have to even answer that question. Just make it right. Be creative. Um how about a free detail job at my local shop? Also, I still dont have the free trial of XM radio that I had already inquired about twice.I then took the suv to my trusted mechanic. He did a thorough inspection and concluded that I had a solid vehicle however, there were issues that should not be ignored since I was about to travel across the country with it. Apparently, having a vehicle with tires that are on wear tabs with uneven tread and brake pads with 30 percent pad life meet CarMaxs standards. I brought up my concern with the tires initially to the salesman. He continued to say that, well most likely, by the time you finish your trip, you will need new tires. Wow isnt that reassuring.The vehicle also needed an alignment and a trailer plug and wiring. I stressed to everyone I spoke to at CarMax from the very beginning that I needed to tow a trailer. This was the most important need I had for a vehicle so I expected that, at least this, would not be overlooked. My mechanic also stated that the brake fluid was dirty along with the cabin filter and engine air filter.As a customer who is knowingly spending thousands over fair market value for an eleven year old vehicle, who is about to venture across the country 1900 miles alone out of necessity, I thought that CarMax would pay an abundant amount of attention to detail to ensure my safety.I said my experience ended on a good note because the service department took care of everything. They even reimbursed me for the $200 I spent to have my mechanic look at it. They made it right which I greatly appreciate. They did everything they could to correct the issues my mechanic had found, in the short amount of time I had left before I moved out of state. If CarMax listened to my needs as a customer from the very beginning, we wouldnt have been in this tight situation in the first place.I am happy with the vehicle I purchased but it took a lot of unnecessary time, something I couldnt afford in the situation I was in and I felt the sales department took advantage of this.

Mitch was super helpful and responsive throughout the car searching/testing/buying process. I was able to test drive multiple vehicles and ended up selling my vehicle for a very competitive price. Selling my car was such a seamless experience.Not once did I feel pressured or uncomfortable in the selling/buying process like I typically would at a car dealership (especially as a young female). Bought a car from their Parker location that location screwed up with the title. 9 months later I still have yet to be able to register my plates. Was told I could just trade in for another car. Went to this location. Promises from salesman and sales manager to help figure things out. All I asked for was at least updates because they seemed friendly enough. Have yet to hear anything back. Just more, well call you back SOON. I call back multiple times and still have to wait 30 mins+ to get ahold of an operator who then tells me Ill get a call back and I never do. Just need an update. Done with this car. Horrible service.

Good luck with this place came in and saw a truck we liked and ended putting a vehicle on hold. Once it was on hold we made a appointment to make the purchase of the vehicle. The day of the appointment the salesman isn’t texting back for some reason and as we arrive we see another truck similar to the one we reserved so we test drove it but decided we liked the one we reserved. As we’re ready to purchase the truck we came for it turns out the vehicle was shipped to another state. Such a waste of time with these people and that’s just horrible customer service, driving from a far location to this location they don’t have the decency to notify us. Horrible service.

I want to thank Robert and the entire repair shop team. I have an extended warranty and I took our car to a local Jeep dealership for warranty work. After several hours of being at this local Jeep dealership they called me and told me of the massive rust under the car and how the warranty would cover some of the repairs but I would have to pay $1150.00 on top of the warranty. So me being upset about the rust I went to carmax where I bought the car. The business manager and Robert hot together and asked me to leave the car a few days so they could investigate all of this. After the superior service department looked it over and even took it apart to find everything wrong. The local Jeep dealership LIED TO ME. Robert was able to order every part required and the so called rust was so minimal. Jeep told me how they would have to take a torch to cut off bolts. Funny that CarMax had no trouble taking it apart. They even took the time to turn the brake rotors so we have maximum stopping power and returned the car to us clean and ready to go. Robert thank you for everything. My family is sold on CarMax as we have purchased 5 vehicles through CarMax and I have sent 14 referrals in which all purchased a vehicle. Those reading this Im sure you can figure out which Jeep dealership thats being referred to.

Worst experience ever!!! My son was interested in a blue Nissan frontier so we went in on February 15th the vehicle was priced at 20,998. We were interested in purchasing the Nissan frontier but unfortunately we were not able to purchase nor test drive this vehicle because they did not have the title so we were told we would get a phone call once they received the title so we can go back in and test drive the vehicle and purchase the vehicle. We got a phone call saying they had the title so we went in and test drove the vehicle and told them we were interested but then we noticed the vehicles price went up $2000 unfortunately after hours of going back and forth not to mention we had a picture of the previous stick price they would not go back down to the original price!!! So we found one much cheaper at another dealership!!! The car salesmen Kenny was nice and helpful but I will never shop CarMax again!!!!

We purchased a 2016 Mini Cooper Hardtop. We are very excited as this was my girlfriend‘s first vehicle purchase. During the initial few minutes of meeting with our sales advisor everything seemed great and dandy. Until we had to decide whether we wanted the extended warranty or not. When we said we did it the sales advisor entire demeanor changed. When we ask questions they went from informative to a simple yes or stern no. He seems so irritated by the fact that we had chosen a third-party extended warranty that he almost seemed annoyed by having to deal with us for the remainder of the process. He explain to us that Carmax checks every vehicle and repaint them and re-touches them to make them look as near to new as possible. Our car had approximately 6 to 7 scratches on the driver side door. We spoke to the sales advisor who is shirred us it would be taken care of or we could bring the car back in to get it repainted. After signing we waited nearly 2 hours while the car was in a garage being touched up. The quality of work given on this repair was subpar to say the least. The scratches are still noticeable and we weren’t very happy with how this issue was handled nor were we promised that we could bring the car back for a professional repaint. As mentioned before we were so disgusted by our sales advisers attitude that we simply left to not have to deal with his demeanor any longer. For a company that tells everybody it’s a haggle, hassle free environment I would have to completely disagree. The entire process seemed almost hostile after we denied this extended warranty. I’d love if we could bring our car back to get it professionally repainted as I mentioned this is my girlfriend‘s first car and we really wanted her to be proud and excited of it. Hope somebody can get back with us and I also hope that the sales advisor who attended us can get more training or attend counseling classes for his grief during a rejection for extended warranty.Thank you,Ronald and Leilani Alvarez

After a terrible experience at the Loveland CarMax location, Stephan made everything seamless in Federal Heights. I found the exact car I wanted. All the while had an incredibly quick, well communicated, and very respectful transaction. In the amount of time I waited in the lobby in Loveland, I finished the entire car buying process in Federal Heights. The entire store has a different energy, a well oiled machine vibe. Super friendly folks, very well maintained vehicles, and an overall great experience. Will not be going anywhere but this location from here on out.

I sold a car to CarMax. You can email them to get a link for an online offer. They want 12 pictures of your car which can take time as my iPhone had to download each picture before it would register another picture. It’s so worth the effort, though. They sent me a very fair offer, I went into their dealership and within the hour, I was walking out with a check for the same amount as their online offer. So easy, so quick. If you only need to sell a car, I highly recommend CarMax.

We called and scheduled a appointment to test drive a newer lincoln suv. No finance needed. We checked in about 20 minutes early, and they stated it would be a max of 30 minute wait. We waited over an hour. I understand if they were short staffed, but there were several workers sitting around complaining to one another about work and virtually no customers. This was a sad experience for us. I will give carmax at another shot at a different location, but Parker will not get business from me.

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had! I never felt pressured. I made my own appointment to test drive the car. I loved it. I had the best sales person, Donkor, and I would definitely go back to him in a heart beat. The whole process was so fast. I was only there for a total of 2.5 hours. That’s only because I had to wait for my husband to come sign the title of our trade-in.

So far the customer service from this branch is terrible! Wasted 1 trip to just tell us that the truck was not ready, kept us waiting for over an hour. We set a 2nd appointment and kept us waiting for over an hour on the phone. We tried getting answers to make sure the truck was ready and never got those answers. Really regret using this branch!

Selling to CarMax is the way to go! The whole process took less than an hour. First visit -- quote -- was about 30min. Second trip -- sale -- took even less time. At no point did I have to negotiate. Didnt know it could be so easy to get out of my lease -- I highly recommend CarMax!

CarMax is a decent experience but they do too many hard pulls on your credit. The quality of the cars they have are fairly middle of the road. Don’t expect much in the way of cleaning when your vehicle is delivered. Seams they just run it through an auto wash and a quick vacuum. I could see some things that had been repaired cheaply. Hoses that should have been replaced just got a clamp. My 750i had 2 different brands of tires on it. And the rear tires had marginally passed there standards. So I needed tires within 3k miles. Ultimately I got rid of the vehicle as it seams CarMax is where you dump your lemons. The sales person was very nice. I would personally look at dealer used car lots over CarMax. They are better than some used car lots I have been to but I’ll pass in the future.

We drove 5 hours to look a Ford Flex you had for sale. After getting there we were presented with a really dirty car, I mean dirty. We took it for a test drive and returned. The sales person asked so what do you think? I was so taken back by how dirty it was I had to think about it a minute. I told the sales person there was no way I would buy it in the condition it was in. My wife and I talked and agreed we would take it if the dealer would clean it and take care of a few things. The rear brake rotors had stress cracks for being overheated at some point so I brought it to the sales persons attention. We said we would take it if it was detailed, a few scratches were buffed out a few dents taken care of by a pdr specialist. So the sales person said ok we will take care of those details and you could come back in a week to close the deal. We returned a week later and a 5 hour drive later only to find they did take care of the rear breaks, but that was about it. To say I was pisses is a under statement. I asked to speak with a sales manager and explained my frustrations. I was told they dont detail their cars and maybe its not the car for us what. The sales mng said they would gives us 150.00 towards a detail. We took a minute to talk about it and then returned. We told the manager if they would give us 500.00 off we would take car. Once we got home I noticed it had some type of front end damage of some sort. I checked the air filter and it looked like it was probably the one that was in it from the factory. CarMax website says they spend 15hours cleaning and reconditioning their cars so they feel like new. I half to say it was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. We were flat out lied to. I could not recomended CarMax to my friends are family.

I was so impressed with the customer service. 3 days after I sold my car to CarMax I realized I forgot my garage door opener in the console and figured it was gone forever. I had a good experience during the buying process, I thought. However, after purchasing the car I have major regrets and realize that the service I received was dishonest at best and illegal at worst. I purchased my Pathfinder in February. I have a credit score of over 800, and was told that 2.95% interest was the lowest interest rate anyone can receive for a used car. Thats untrue, I later learned. I knew it didnt sound right at the time and wish Id trusted my instinct. Now Im stuck paying more than I should because I was lied to. Additionally, when I test drove the vehicle I saw that one of the tires was very low. I told the sales rep where he said hed take it back to the service department to check for any issues (nails, etc); he later came back (quickly) and said there were no issues - they put air in the tires. Within 24 hours of purchasing the vehicle the tire pressure light came on. I took it to Discount Tire where they immediately told me just by looking at it there was a nail in the tire. I did take it back to Carmax to get new tires but its evident that either the sales rep lied or the service department lied. Third, I noticed, upon purchase, that something with the alignment felt off. Ii took it to Carmax within days and they said they checked everything and didnt find anything. I insisted that it still felt off and they recommended I take it to the Nissan dealership, which I did. Once again, within first inspection, the dealership noted that the struts needed immediate replacing.All this to say that this was a horrible experience to start off with a new car. I was lied to and wont be using Carmax again. I wont go to a place where Im taken advantage of.

This is the only place that took me seriously as a young female trying to buy a car by myself. Other dealerships wouldnt even sit down with me to discuss vehicles, one place they even laughed at me. CarMax didnt pressure me into buying anything and from start to finish was an extremely pleasant experience. They also offered me the highest trade in value for my vehicle. David was terrific and I highly recommend asking for him.
