Great location, small but good selection. Never see the same staff. Always new, young, and usually unhelpful.I once walked into the store and began looking through shelves, then was told that the store opened in 10min and I had to leave. Why was the door unlocked and why did I have to leave?
Found a couple culinary books just wished they had more of a selection. Other than that quick check out and friendly
Came here for the first time today with my husband. Upon entering the store we were approached by two different people asking us to come to them for help during our visit within two minutes from each other. The entire time my husband and I were looking at books and merchandise the same man (Amazon employee) followed us around the entire store. This guy was carrying the same book around and kept coming up behind us or on the sides of us pretending he was looking for something. I have no idea why my husband and I were followed and seemingly singled out in this store. We even bought 3 books while we were there and have been Prime members for years. Absolutely cringe-worthy watching this guy continue to follow us pretending he had something to do next to us no matter where we walked to in the store. He even followed us into the children’s section goofily trying to look like he was searching for something while still holding the exact same book he had when we first noticed him lingering around us in the adult section. Unbelievably foolish.
We love this place! Everyone is fantastic! They welcome everyone that steps in the door! They have a great selection of affordable books--which every book lover appreciates!
Meh. If you need a bestselling book or 4-star product TODAY and are a Prime customer, maybe this makes sense, but I cant see what the game is here, as there are locally owned places to buy almost everything on sale here, and I see no reason to go Amazon when one can support local business. To be fair, the customer service reps are friendly and helpful, the store is really well laid out, and one can - obviously - order what is not in stock. I love the fact this is NOT a super-store, but I felt underwhelmed by the lack of a deep dive experience.
Was really surprised that Amazon had a physical book store. But it was very clean and had a large selection of books. The staff was also very nice, helpful and didnt hover (my favorite aspect). If youre an Amazon prime member, you get a discount on the books!
Awesome store with a curated selection of great products! The staff was really friendly and supportive. One helped me carry a bag of books to my vehicle.
Love the Amazon Bookstore. They’re so helpful
First time in the store front and it was pretty cool to see not only books but other Amazon products as well. Very clean and well designed throughout. The best part was returning other Amazon products back to customer service. Amazon gives you an option of returning items to this store without packing. Just scanned my QR code and that was it. Super easy.
I was only focused on one book topic, so this review is for the book section only...The associates were really helpful & quite friendly. Nice to ask opinions or suggestions from real people. It was fun to actually flip through pages & skim enough of the content to see if its a match. The different font sizes & visual presentation you can only get with a physical copy is always fun.I got lost in the topic & 40 minutes later, I realized I was going to be late...Its worth a stop in. If you know what youre looking for, find an employee to help you find the topic/genre.Yes - I disagree with how aggressively they (AMZ) went after smaller bookshops, but I also rationalize that AMZ led the charge into online sales.
One of Amazons many current ventures is--surprise, surprise--a chain of retail bookstores. The 19th of these opened yesterday (March 6, 2019) in Denvers Cherry Creek North shopping district. The selection of items is supposedly based on the popularity of online sales, but there are also curated sections with orientations to Denver and to Colorado. The store has a good selection of books and carries lots of complementary non-book items such as cookware and housewares, iRobot vacuums and mops, kitchen organizers, small appliances, and fitness items. There is a large electronics section including Kindles, Ring home security, speakers, Alexa devices, a wide variety of smart home items, and accessories. The strongest book sections are fiction, general nonfiction, cooking, business, biography, self-improvement, highly-rated items, and new releases. There is a very large childrens section. The store also carries magazines, cards, and gift wrap.Everything is well laid-out, clean, and bright. There is lots of friendly, helpful staff.
Like the Amazon 4-star store but more books. Was able to pay via the Amazon app, didnt even have to get my wallet out, and got a major discount for being a prime member.
I felt great ambivalence about visiting this store, but I also felt curiosity, too. Curiosity won out. Plus, I was bored, and the next nearest bookstore, the Hermitage, was not yet open.I thought it would be interesting to see the changes that Amazon has in mind for the brick-and-mortar bookstore. It’s not that different from a Barnes & Noble, really. The digital price tags are different, sure. The Amazon shop certainly feels a little more bright and a little more shiny, a little more space-age than any other book store I’ve ever visited. Most notably, the ratio of books to other stuff strongly favors... the other stuff. That’s not a great surprise. By other stuff, I mean electronics and more electronics. And a few items related to book sections, such as cooking implements by the cook books. But mostly electronics! The store itself, seemed to lack… well… character. If it was not pre-fab, it was pre-planned, down to the last inch. Bookstores reflect their communities... bookstores build upon their communities. I had the distinct feeling that such community ties are not a big part of this store.Of course, there are still books, and nice people who want to sell books. So it was not a completely empty experience. But I was glad when it came time for the Hermitage to open!Westword, as usual, has published a fine article about this store. Its Amazon Books Cherry Creek: Reviewed and Interviewed by Teague Bohlen (March 21, 2019). Well worth googling and then reading!
Funny that one of the last brick and mortar book stores is Amazon! Great selection.
Such a fun place! Saved a lot of money, and the cashier Lori was so nice and informative and made our first time visiting the store very pleasant!
Super efficient and fast experience. No need to go all the way to whole foods to return an amazon package. Highly recommended
It was a very nice store.
Not only is it a great and easy way to return Amazon purchases, its a great store with a more than just books. They sell electronics. They sell toys. Definitely worth checking out. And everyone I have engaged with that work there have been extremely pleasurable.
Just like a Barnes and Noble with only Amazon electronics. Full price items only. Pass it by.
They don’t know what they are doing in here. Stay away.
Excellent little bookstore that carries the most popular books, electronics and products in the local area according to Amazons algorithm. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Wowwww is all I can say!
Wonderful service with sometimes necessary Amazon returns. Knowledgeable employees.
Densely packed with little room to browse. Though the employees were friendly and helpful, the store is a jumbled mess. There are way too many unrelated odds and ends. It makes sense to me as one giant checkout stand for returns, trying to grab your attention as you wait. As a bookstore, no. Thats clearly just branding.
Lots of good books and other gifts... Great if you like to see stuff 1st have before you buy it
Great place to get books with prime discounts.
Its Amazon but irl.
Returns made easy with a suspiciously helpful staff. Great place to grab a last minute gift 🎁
Be sure you have all your questions answered or Amazon needs finished before entering the Cherry Creek store. The poor store associates cannot help with returns. They need time to stand and think about why the sky is blue. One young associate did actually try to help by suggesting I go home and complete the return. Another associate finally gave me the Amazon 800 number. However, he got yelled at by a fellow associate because I touched the card that had the number on it.
Shop here if you would like for this to become the only bookstore that can survive in Denver. Hermitage is a few blocks away, Capitol Hill Books & Tattered Cover aren’t far either. It makes a difference for those stores... it means nothing to Amazon.
Great for returns, good deals on books in store. Kind of silly when you think about how Amazon started as a bookstore alternative though..
Ive never had to wait more than a few seconds for service here. Love it.
Not great customer service, absolutely no back catalog/book stacks to dig through. No big surprise, it’s the top sales books based on amazon. But, super clean, bright store—should be, amazon can afford it.
Always changing inventory with super friendly staff. Almost as good as buying online!
Very friendly at checkout. I had to buy a ton of gift cards and the lady made it super quick and easy!
Alot more friendly since hiring people of color.
They were very helpful! They have a fantastic selection of carefully selected books of all varieties as well as various games, electronics, and household supplies. The Amazon prime discount saved me $30, and all the employees were so friendly and willing to help! Great experience. I will say parking can be hard, and there is no easy disabled parking which made my life difficult. The Cherry Creek area definitely needs more disabled dedicated street parking spots.
Excellent customer service. Returning detective purchase item..Mimi was kind, attentive and did not even mind that I left the box accidentally at home. Bummed about the product but the reception at the store with the customer acknowledged right when you enter was impressive to me. Hard to find parking on a Friday but it was worth the trip.
Amazing staff, super clean totally Covid prepared. Love this store it was my 1st time going but its my new go to book spot
This is a small store in a high traffic area, but really, the convenience is not the actual inventory, but as a hub for amazon.com purchases, returns, and devices. I enjoy the location as its close to work for me, but if you dont have a reason to be in Cherry Creek, I wouldnt go out of my way; parking is a nightmare.
I only used it to return an order from Amazon, but it was super easy and processed very quickly.
The service was great but I was disappointed when the staff informed me that even though I spent over a couple hundred dollars that they dont have public restrooms and that my wife and I could use the restrooms a couple blocks away at the Starbucks from now on we will be taking our business elsewhere.
Definitely not what you think it is once you get in there. Most of the people there are only returning or sending amazing items. Staff are not helpful and only dealing with returns. Nothing here to see.
I was so excited to come here. Ive been looking forward to a local Amazon Books location for a while now but Ive got to say I am a little underwhelmed by their selection. This store felt more like a convenience store for books than a traditional bookstore. They have all of your basic book categories, a kids book section, bar equipment, desk supplies, toys, art supplies, Amazon book readers, Ring technology, headphones, and other odds and ends. Prime members save a significant amount in this store and can check out using the Amazing shopping app by tapping the camera icon in the search bar.
Greasy customer service. Nice atmosphere, the staff is extremely helpful, and addressee very friendly. I would recommend this store to everyone.
Prime member pay same price as online!Friendly staff. Great selections.
Go to to tattered cover and support local over big tech censorship.
My daughter that the lady at counter was rude. Did not inform us store would be closing soon. Just ask if we going to pay with card or cash. When we asked why? The rep we closing soon and gave us a look
Kind and helpful staff. I wish the store was bigger had more products. I hope as this store becomes more established the stock will become more vast and changing. Bought all my Hue Lights there...run them using Alexa app off of my Amazon Echo Show and I gotta say automated lights are fantastic. Thanks for the help peeps!
Reminds me of apple store. Fast in and out
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good Cherry Creek location. Very helpful if you can find a quick parking meter along the street. CAB
Very helpful and friendly staff, good selection of books and gifts, easy returns.
Very nice store. Marketed well and lots to draw you in. Friendly staff.
Ive had to return a couple items to Amazon recently and used this drop off point. Parking is hard to find, so its best to use a team approach to dropping off items. The wife dropped me off and drove around the block a couple times while I returned the items. The folks that work here are real nice!
Great store.. Found out the price tags are miniature live screens that automatically show the same prices as the website... So you can buy here and not have to check the price online!
I came here to return a Prime purchase. It was very convenient and easy. And they have a great selection of new books!
Very convenient check out. Good book selection. All the miscellaneous products would make it a great spot to grab a quick gift.
I had a return and it was very easy. Theyre also handling the covid situation very well, with hand sanitizer at the door, and a staff member at the front to help instruct customers, with arrows and signage on the floors to guide people to the returns area or otherwise.
Hate this place. Super inconvenient and no parking.
Easy to get to. Staff makes it super easy. Parking can be a bit tough.
Nice little Amazon store. I wish there were more around where I live as itd be nice when I need a cheap cable or go look at different items and use my Amazon account to purchase.
Parking is horrible here. If your returning a packing do not use this . I dont know why you cant just return packages at the distribution center. But any UPS store is 10 times easier .
Really cool place! We just stopped in to look around. If you have Prime...you can get all the prime prices.
Visited just to return gift. Super quick. Super easy.
Great location. Great service! Easy drop off!!! Too bad Amazon banned me for life!
I almost didnt give a four star review. The first time I went there I asked for help from a gentleman who I believe might have been a manager I could be incorrect none the less this gentleman was not so polite impatient and seemed a little aggravated at having to help me. He also answered some questions but he did so in a complete basic manner which helped answer some of my questions but over all didnt give me the information that I required. The reason why Im giving it a 4 star now is because the last 2 times that I have been into the store the staff have been excellent, have been fun, helpful gone out of their way to accommodate my needs so I dont know what it was with the 1st individual that helped me but the last 2 individuals were wonderful. I encourage you to visit the store. I know Amazon already owns the universe it seems but at least youll be able to find some good reading material, some fun things to purchase and if you like any of the Echo Show and Alexa platforms you can buy and purchase that material here. You can also buy Hue lights and various Bridges, Hue, Samsung. Which is why I went to the store. So in fact I think the Amazon store has a lot to offer. Youll find some nice peeps. Jesus you rock thanks for helping me.
Amazon book is absolutely amazing! The one thing I was was a little different would be having a wider book selection, but the selection they do have (since its based off of different best selling lists) is quite good regardless! Also if you have prime, they match what the prices of their books are online so you are absolutely getting the best price you can be regardless of being in a retail location! Not to mention you can bring back any of your amazon returns there!
I love book stores! This store is half book store, half Amazon store. Great place to buy gifts!
I want here to return something super fast i think i took like 2 o 3 min and it was full.
Everyone was so helpful! Especially Billy who helped me find stuff and check out. I had never been in Amazon Books but am a loyal customer now! Also saved almost $30 by being a Prime member.
Lots of good things there I cant but online from New Zealand.
Awesome place. They dont just sell books. They sell top rated products on Amazon too !
In a world where we need more bookstores this place is a great fix.
Cheap books, great setting
Very helpful staff. Clean store.
Helpful staff. Great for a last minute gift. Everything in store its at least 4 stars!
I will never use Amazon again after this issue, even a supervisor stated that customer service agents lie to customers then asked me if lying to me would help (pull the call). This is very poor customer service and I will make this public so everyone can see that Amazon is not transparent with their customers. Amazon has locked my bank account due to multiple transactions also I was told to purchase a Amazon gift card to resolve the issue which created a bigger problem. I have wasted so much time on the phone, chatting on line and troubleshooting a issue Amazon caused. Never again
Just short on selection of books... Otherwise pretty awesome to have an Amazon store nearby
Extremely fast way to process a return. Money goes back into account much faster than sending it back.
Disappointing, especially for Amazon, who usually executes flawlessly. The book selection is slim, and they are arranged facing out on shelves with overhanging tags so that an average height person cannot see the whole book. The categories are a bit arbitrary, but the prices are good if you are a Prime member. Checkout was a bit rough - they don’t take cash but I didn’t see any indication of that until I tried to pay with cash. I needed to input an email to verify my Prime status but the clerk had a hard time getting the keyboard to come up on my side of the register so I could do that. The credit card machine does not have an active chip reader (come on already, Amazon!) and the clerk was not very personable. I won’t be going back and suggest you stick to Barnes & Noble.
A bit small for Amazon books, but still had lots of options!
Always SO FAST when I go to drop off an amazon return. Thank you!
Like any other bookstore, with the added benefits of Amazon. Had many Amazon Smart House products, Kindles, and miscellaneous other items. You can also pay for stuff in-store through the Amazon app on your phone. Wicked.
Cool store with more selection than youd expect. Friendly helpful staff.
This place was cool, different than I expected. I liked that it also had items you could buy too.
Good book store and looks like their Amazon 4 Star store at Park Meadows Mall.
Its kind of like stepping into the Amazon app! I enjoyed shopping here, picked up a book that I never would have heard about just by browsing, which is what makes physical bookstores so great.
Always helpful staff. Awesome products
Surprised and delighted by library of not only books, but giftables and Top Selling items as well. Super convenient.
Keep an eye out for good deals here. We bought a Ring door bell for 15% off ! Lower price than Amazon.
Cool, but the location is horrible due no parking at all... Had to park 4 or 5 blocks away... Location is less than ideal... Would love have one in Stapleton ...
Great store to lose 30 minutes of your life in.
I got the odd 1s out book here and also, It is very nice inside and the employees are very kind
