Shop at MATTER is a really unique shop. I could spend hours, perhaps even days roaming around in there.I am a student at The Other Side Academy which is a 501(c)3 where our students, including myself, are men and women that have struggled in life with things like addiction, homelessness, and spent their lives going in and out of the prison system. We come to TOSA to change our lives and learn to be decent humans again.We have twelve beliefs that we try to live by every day, Debra was so kind to make us some really great book marks for our students as a donation. Though its just a small gesture of kindness, it meant the world to us.

With b hooks on every other shelf, it’s a haven for her as a scholar and a social justice advocate. Thank you for doing what you do. What a neat little store!

LOVE this little shop! Every corner, wall, and drawer is packed with the most perfectly curated pieces, from pens to books to art prints. The staff is also extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly!

I was extremely impressed with the inventory the Shop has! They have a really wonderful collection of books, fun and functional stationary, and a bunch more neat treasures all throughout! I have a few of their pins as well and they are some of my new favorites. Definitely make sure to stop by if youre in the area!

The online set up is wonderful and I was quickly swept away wanting to buy all the books. I limited myself, but will definitely be returning. The check out process was easy and I received my order within 3 days of placing my order. Everything in the order was in great condition and packaged well! I’m excited to shop with them again.

I havent had a chance to visit in person, but ordering from the Shop online has been such a pleasure! When one of the books I bought was on backorder for longer than expected, Debra emailed with me to see if I wanted to swap it out for something else. I’ve only had the pleasure of shopping online with Matter, but I was delighted at the variety of books available for intersectional studies. They also have really fun and unique stationary odds and ends, and their art prints are dope. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to shop again (and in person some day).

Such a great local bookstore with a fantastic staff and an assortment of other locally-made goods from small businesses! Such friendly owners and employees, can not recommend enough.

I wish I could have spent longer here! Its such a cute store from the street, and there is so much to see inside. There is a great vibe here, with so many cool, creative ideas! I especially loved the random letters in the old clothes washer that are scraps from projects, Ill be making a sign for my home with the different font wooden letters!

I love this little shop! They have an amazing curated selection of books and some really rad gifts they make in house. It feeds my inner nerd. Oh and did I mention they have a letterpress in the shop?
