When I first meeting Kelcy, she was personable and had great suggestions— she has a great eye for interior design and made good suggestions.However, since we placed our order with Kelcy in December, working with Kelcy and CCS&D has been nothing but problems. When you spend >$20k on blinds, you expect a decent amount of good customer service. Kelcy has had to come over multiple times to measure and re-measure windows, and didn’t end up placing the order until a month after we agreed on a final plan (meanwhile, our house had zero blinds).We finally got them and they look beautiful, but she “forgot” to order the blinds for the large stair windows. We waited over 3 months to receive the stair windows. As I write this, Kelcy is over an hour late to install our stairs blinds. In the multiple times Kelcy and her dad, Doug, have been over to our house to measure or install blinds, they have never once been on time. Each time they were late, I begged them to be on time, as it is important that I am on time to my own job (no wiggle room being a nurse!). I am glad I didn’t sign a contract for the drapery, as I will be going to another company for the rest of my window treatment needs.

I have bought a number of great products from Cherry Creek Shade-from shutters to numerous types of Hunter Douglas shades. I love the design and the ease of care for the shades! I recently had some painting done and needed to re-install my shades. Doug talked me through it on the phone, insisting that I hear 2 clicks when inserting the shade top into the prong. It was easy to do and I am so grateful he was able to help via phone. Great products and fantastic service. I will definitely use them again and I recommend Cherry Creek Shade to my friends and family members.

I used these folks 4 years ago to put in shades and blinds and was very happy with the work and service. However, they have totally nose-dived since then. Really, just rotten customer service and crummy attitudes. After a flood in our home we needed to submit replacement estimates to insurance prior to purchasing new blinds/shades. I left several messages about the project with no return call, finally got a return call from a very unhelpful Doug (the owner), left more follow up messages, finally got a return call from a very unhelpful Kelsey who promised to send what I was needing (she didnt), finally left a message literally BEGGING for help- no response. Ive never worked so hard to give someone business in my life. After 3 weeks of failed attempts I called Guirys. Literally 8 minutes after I hung up with the person at Guirys she had my original order emailed to me from Hunter Douglas and I submitted it to insurance. Less than 2 days later my replacement order was placed. The speed with which Guirys was able to respond shows that Cherry Creek Shade and Drapery did not even bother trying to get the info I needed. What is the point of supporting small business in an economic downturn when they act like such jerks? Do yourself a favor and skip the headache of this company. They might have been good once but are just a PIA now.

Im having a similar experience. Eleven years ago CCS&D installed window coverings throughout our home and the job went perfectly. Recently, I reached out to Kelcy to have a few more blinds installed. She came to look, sent me an estimate and took a deposit for half of the total cost. That was 9/29. Since then Ive been unable to get a straight answer about whats happening with the blinds. I finally asked for a refund because I lost trust in this company and have been given the runaround repeatedly. I know that things dont always go smoothly, and I can be patient and understanding to a point, but this is completely unacceptable. As of today, Kelcy still has my $1000 deposit and I have no idea how Im going to get it back.

I scheduled a 10 am appointment. Kelcy called and said she was running a few minutes late. 40 minutes later she never arrived. Called and said she would work around my schedule. That was my schedule based on our original appointment. Found out she had called from her store when she said she would be a few minutes late knowing I lived at least 30 minutes away. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend.

Their warranty policy is exceptional. I bought shades two years ago and they installed them in our home in the mountains. The owner drove an hour and 1/2 up to our place recently to replace a shade clutch that had cracked ...at no cost. Thanks Doug!

I had a fantastic experience ordering blinds for my entire house from Cherry Creek Shades-- I worked with Kelcy through the initial appointment all the way through installation. She made the whole process so easy and painless, in and out of the house for the initial measurement in 30 mins. She picked gorgeous blinds that match the home as well as our style. I also had limited availability for install and was able to install the blinds in the time that worked for me. I couldnt be happier with the choice and they all look great! I would recommend them to anyone!

I have used them many times to hang shades and drapes for my whole house and they are professional, courteous, timely, and knowledgeable. Their design services are complimentary and I really appreciate their suggestions and input especially given the number of choices in fabrics. You might be able to find drapes cheaper but if you want quality, well made drapes that look beautiful, you cant go wrong here.

Read reviews on Yelp and you will hear echoes of this review: deadlines missed again and again, some with dubious explanation, some without explanation at all; prices that were outrageous compared with the product offered; unethical practices when consulting and installing or being asked to correct work that was done incorrectly; and a propensity for lawsuits for the above reasons. DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
