Best Toyota repair shop Ive ever gone to. Im a customer for life. These guys do a great job and dont try to nickle and dime you. I cant recommend them enough.
I have a 22 year old Tacoma. It spent the year in la with my 23 year old son. Got it back and took it to the toy shop as a first time customer. Needed LOF and a tune, plus road worthy check since Im driving it to FL. They fit me in, tuned the beast and gave me a heads up on brakes down the road. Felt like a great place to take a vintage Tacoma.
The Toy Shop is the only place that I will take my Toyotas for anything besides an engine oil change. Its a bit of a drive for me, but well worth their no BS expertise. They always tell me what should be done and more importantly, what doesnt need work.
Greg and the crew are top quality mechanics. I called 3 shops for quotes and The Toy Shop was the only one not trying to gouge me. Greg even went the extra mile by changing a few seals we didnt discuss. My Lexus will be going here from now on!
Greg, Kim and the whole crew have been the best for my Lexus RX300. Greg keeps her running like a gem with almost 200 thousand miles on her. This has been the only shop I feel comfortable with walking in and saying, theres something wrong can you find out what it is? and I trust that its not overpriced, or sold extra stuff and runs sweet when I get it back! I drive 45 min to get here because of the great work, dedication and trust developed, definitely see in these guys. Tell um I sent cha😀
Im very happy with this place. Ive interacted with both Greg and Kim multiple times and they are both helpful and responsive. Im not much of a car guy, so finding someone who can communicate to me about issues with my Prius in laymans terms is a great relief. They are fair and havent tried to upsell me or invented problems. Work is done to my satisfaction and my car is always ready when they said it would be.
Greg and Kim are friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. They worked with me on a fair price and Greg fixed my requested problems without trying to push other less important repairs onto my bill - he addressed everything correctly and when I have the extra funds I’m coming back with my business! I’d give ten stars if I could - they even passed out Halloween candy!
This is the go to shop if you own a Toyota. Great rates and honest service. There’s not many of these places left in Denver.
Found my new shop in Denver. Highly suggested!
Our nearly 20-year-old Tundra needed more than the usual twice a year oil change. Even though we live in Summit County, it was absolutely worth the small hassle of taking the truck down to The Toy Shop in Denver. They fixed a worn out ignition key cylinder, replaced both headlights, replaced the burned out dash lights, swapped our winter wheels and tires for the summer set, and took care of a few other neglected issues. Well be back in the fall to re-swap the tires and take care of a few other details. 170,000 miles in, the Tundra drives like new. Greg kept me updated throughout and the estimate was accurate. Saved a considerable amount of $ by taking the Truck to the Toy Shop. Heres just one example: they swapped all four tires and wheels for $20.00. In Summit, that would also be $20.00 .. TIMES FOUR!
Great place. They were kind and provided service with great care. Not only were they kind but they were trustworthy with their skills also. Definitely would come back
The lady who answered the phone has no business dealing with the public. I asked a question and she said I had to talk to a tech. I asked for a tech and she said he was out to lunch. I asked top leave a message and she refused to take one. I called back 90 minutes later and she said the tech was still on lunch. I asked when he would be returning and she said when he gets back. This place came highly recommended. I told the person who recommended them what had happened he called there and was in disbelief when the same thing happened to him.
Friendly professionals with fair prices. My job was done right, and done quickly. I will be a returning customer.
These guys are great. Informative, economical and friendly.
I brought my Tacoma in for a 140K service and Kim checked me in quickly and Greg and his team did a fantastic job on a Five Star service check and made the corrections and repairs. I will definitely return to this Toy Shop for all future work. I live in east Aurora but it is worth the driving time and distance. I had bad luck from other repair shops and from Grease Monkey. Highly recommended.
I am a die hard fan on mySecond Lexus with Greg. He is a great mechanic and runs a great shop. He has taken good care of my cars and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else in Denver!!!
Used this shop for 25 years. Never felt let down, always top of the line repairs and service. Highly recommend.
Greg is as honest as the day is long. They do great work on my 4Runner
Greg abs the team are always so fasts, knowledgeable and helpful
This shop expertly maintains and repairs Toyota, Lexus, and Scion automobiles. The honesty is my best compliment for The Toy Shop. Just as good if not better than a dealership, for fairer treatment.
Amazing job, super nice people, would never go anywhere else with my baby
Edit Response to Owner 11/23/19: I did call with these concerns. Whoever answered the phone brushed me off quite rudely which prompted me to leave my review. I would like to add that when the axle seals go bad on these it can wreck brake calipers. I told the shop that I wanted to replace the caliper if there was any risk of it going bad. You said it was fine. It started sticking less than a month later and needed to be replaced. You should apologize for poor service, and not that I feel this way. I feel this way because you cost me extra hours of my life and more money going back on things that should have been done right in the first place.Summary: Misdiagnosing, not completing work, trying to get me to spend money I didnt need to.I had a very different experience than these other folks. Brought in my 2006 4Runner for a rear axle seal and rear brake pad replacement. As far as I can tell the axle seal was done right, but really the only way to tell will be if it fails prematurely. They did not re-tighten my parking brake when they finished with the work. I had to chase my truck down the driveway to keep it from rolling into the street.I had a code for a bad catalytic converter. A simple google search revealed that I should try replacing the O2 sensor first because sometimes they send a bad reading to the computer. Guy at desk at Toyshop said something along the lines of, that wont work, but a new cat is only about $600 and only takes around an hour of labor. I put in a new O2 sensor for $60 and the code is gone and has been for over 2,000 miles now. $540 saved. They also said that I had a coolant leak coming from my radiator. I said thats weird because the truck doesnt drip anything red (Toyota uses a red coolant) . Turns out it was my trans fluid cooler lines that run to the radiator. I didnt realize it was trans fluid because all the automatic trans fluid Ive seen is red whereas Toyota used an uncolored fluid in this truck, and another terrible shop I took it to told me it was a slow oil leak. About a week later my runner ran dry on trans fluid and quit shifting. Luckily I got it off the road before any damage was done. Youd think a Toyota specialty shop would know what theyre looking at. Apparently not.
Honest opinions and very knowledgable on land cruisers
Greg is an excellent mechanic, and Toyota enthusiast. This is the third shop I had brought my 05 4runner to for a single pop / thud when turning very slow. The first two shops had the truck for a day could replicate the noise but could not find the problem and said I was good to go. The noise got worse so I brought it to The Toy Shop. Greg called me a few hours after I dropped it off to tell me it was a loose control arm bolt and after tightening all was well. They also replaced a serpentine belt and my truck was done in under 8 hours. Price was excellent. I found my new shop.
Best Toyota shop around been coming here for 20 years Greg and Kim are the best.
The only place I will take my two Toyotas. Knows what he is doing and so much cheaper than the dealership. Has saved me hundreds of dollars already.
Greg is the best Toyota mechanic in town. Honest, down to earth, and runs a great shop. I bring all my familys Toyotas here
Best independent toyota repair in Denver, without a doubt!
Greg and crew always do great and we have several Toyotas. Thanks
I have been going to the Toy Shop over 20 years to get servicing of four Toyotas. They really know Toyotas and do very high quality work at reasonable price. I have never had the feeling they were doing unnecessary maintenance or jacking up the price like dealer service centers. BTW, I still have two of the Toyotas. When I sold the other two each had over 200k miles and were still going strong. I attribute this to good Toyota products and outstanding service from the Toy Shop.
Great group of people, with one thing on their mind..... Quality of workmanship!
Excellent mechanic & trustworthy. Ive been a customer since 1987. Now I buy only Toyota vehicles, so I dont have to switch mechanics.
Best service for Toyotas in the metro area!
For the Toyota’s in your life!
