Astro Automotive has earned my business over and over again. They’ve shown themselves to be very reputable which is my biggest concern in a mechanic. They are very communicative when my car is in for repair and up front about costs. They will not suggest an unneeded repair or service.

We have gone to Astro Automotive for several years. In the beginning, I would shop around a bit to make sure their pricing and recommendations were on par with other reputable shops. We always ended up back at Astro.They earned our exclusive business for being kind, honest and fair. Whether it was a silly little tire patch job because I had just run over a bolt in the road or last minute timing belt replacement job, Brian always found a way to fit me in and get the job done efficiently. Most recently, on one of the very hot summer days, my battery died. Brian went above and beyond by coming to my house to jump my car with his portable jumper tables (my car was parked in an inconvenient spot) and replacing my battery immediately at the shop.Weve since moved out of state and we miss having Astro Automotive as our go-to car service shop. Was looking into buying a used car from Japanese Car Connection and am so happy I brought it here first for a pre-sale inspection! They were extremely thorough and identified what would have been thousands of dollars of issues to repair if I had purchased the car. This use to be a good place but now they have mechanics that don’t know what they are doing. Had my radiator replaced plus hoses, they forgot to put the bolts that hold my transmission cooler, not only that but now my radiator is leaking for poor instillation. They want to give me a free oil chance to make it better. I need them to give my money bad for fox my radiator

Love these guys. They always treat me right and have my full and complete trust. On one occasion I brought my car to Astro and based on the problems my car was experiencing, I was told the fix could cost a couple thousand or relatively nothing depending on the root of the problem. A day later they called to tell me it was a basic part that needed replacing and the bill was inconsequential. Knowing that they could have easily charged 10X more without me knowing the difference but didnt is the reason Ill never take my car anywhere else in Denver.

A few of the bolts on my rear brake calipers had come loose or broken on a used car I had recently purchased. All I knew was that my car was ****ed any time I hit the brakes.I rolled it down to Astro Auto as it was the closest place to my home and had good reviews. They called me shortly after I dropped it off explaining the issue and the cost to fix. I quickly approved and they had my car ready to go within the next few hours - I had dropped it off at 9:30 and it was ready for me by 1 pm. Quick service! And very affordable.They also check your other fluids but nothing came up so I only paid for the brake replacement. Car is back to running like a dream. I would absolutely recommend Astro Automotive to anyone!

I am SO grateful a friend referred me to Astro Automotive. I am looking to buy a used car, but I know nothing about the mechanics of a car, and wanted it inspected by an independent mechanic before closing the deal. I was able to call Astro and make an appointment the day before, and when I arrived, they were able to take the car right away. Dave did a thorough inspection and walked me through the whole thing after, explaining both the cost and the ramifications of each issue he found. Based on the inspection, I decided to go back to the dealer and negotiate, and Dave gave me good talking points for the dealer and also his opinion on what kind of deal I should take vs walk from. The dealer unexpectedly gave me a different option than we anticipated, and I called Astro from the dealership - and Dave advised me that this was now a good deal and I should go for it. I felt so much more comfortable moving forward with the purchase thanks to Daves advice - this inspection was GREAT value, and saved me over $3000!! I will definitely be taking my car back to Astro for future servicing, and will be referring my friends as well.

The folks at the shop are literally the nicest Ive ever met. Theyll work with you to figure out realistic options based on your current situation, and theyll never tell you to do work that isnt necessary. They also are willing to work on older vehicles, which is hard to find.

Got an oil change there a couple of times when I didnt time have time do it myself. Seemed ok, the people there were nice. When my center console started to pop open on its own, I figured I would just have it fixed at my next oil change. They looked at it, and told me that they would have to order a specialty part totaling over $500. I was in disbelief. I took my car home, popped the back of the console off, and found two loose screws. Saved myself $500 by tightening two screws in five minutes. Console fixed. Predatory mechanics.

The only place I will take my car in Denver. Had to get a new pair of winterized tires before a trip into the mountains. Along with a fair price on the tires, they were able to squeeze the service in the same afternoon so that I would be able to leave at 6am the next day. Felt comfortable asking questions and was clear on exactly what I was paying for.

Took car in diagnosis of where coolant is going to and an oil change. Was told they wanted to change a thermostat and one fan was bad,need to replace the motor. It was the fan for the condenser but I knew it didnt work. I approved the cost and still the car is overheating. Now neither of the fans come on. They never did give me even so much as a theory on why my coolant was darkly colored and vanishing. They neglected to change the oil. Despite the whole bill of $500 Im went from 1 cooling fan to 0. The car temperature overheated on the way back to work. Honestly I couldnt be more dissatisfied, will not return.Edit POST RESOLUTIONThe issue was the radiator clogged and cracked mixing trans fluid with coolant. Picture added. Very simple fix, I am busy guy working 70hrs per week I dont have time to do this stuff myself. After running the heat all winter to keep my car cool. I fixed the problem on my own should have done that to start with. Astro has stupid or lazy mechanics who plain and simple arent doing their jobs. What the business is doing is lying to and stealing from people.Bottom line if you want a job done right dp it yourself or go to the dealer.

This place was great! I was very well informed of what needed to be done with my car. They called me and gave me phone updates before doing anything I didn’t agree to, and they provided me with a price range of what I was looking at so I could make an informed decision. They even got me a used part so I didn’t have to pay for a new one. I was also impressed because this is the first car place I’ve gone to that explained things so thoroughly and didn’t try to take advantage for my lack of knowledge about cars! I completely trust Astro automotive and will always be going here for as long as I live in the area!

I came in the other day with a nail in my tire to get it patched up. Within twenty five minutes I was on the road again, and they only charged me $22. I will definitely be returning here for car maintenance in the future. Everyone was very kind and they do good work.

I just want to stop and say how grateful I am to have found Astro Automotive. Took my girlfriends car on Tuesday to get serviced for an engine relay fuse that kept blowing and they had told me it would take at least a week to get it worked on. The work was done way earlier than I expected and they made sure to call me and keep me updated when they worked on the vehicle. I got a call on Thursday that it was ready to go. I was happy with the price and we truly feel that they went above and beyond in getting the car fixed. This is definitely going to be my go-to place for services! Thank you so much!

Pretty late review but I dropped my car off to Smith to have just the wheels and headlights cleaned and protected. Best shine/gloss ive seen on my wheels ever and headlights look brand new! The moment I pulled out of his shop, it started raining and thundering the whole entire day. Even after a few days of rain and daily driving, the wheels looked the same as it did when I pulled out of his shop! Only shop Ill trust to detail my car, will definitely be back in the future to have my whole car detailed!

Astro just saved me! They were able to repair a bolt that punctured my tire in only 3 hours ON A MONDAY! The drama actually took place near Tower & I-70: called Brian, he said to keep it as inflated as possible, had to stop 3 times to air up the punctured tire, after an hour made it to Astro. I realized that I had driven over a screw and scrambled to get my tire fixed before it went flat. Astro was able to help me immediately and fixed my tire in 15 minutes. They were friendly, efficient, and able to help me quickly when other places said they couldn’t until this evening or tomorrow. I’ll definitely return to them in the future!

I always find it stressful to find a new mechanic, and I was really glad I found Astro when I moved to Denver several years ago. They have always been fast, honest, and fairly priced. AND, unlike many experiences with other shops, everything is actually fixed when I leave! They are good at letting you know what absolutely needs to be addressed, and what can wait a bit which is nice for an older car like mine. I would definitely recommend Astro if someone needed a mechanic in the area.

I have been taking my Ford Ranger here for almost 2 years now. Ive got to say, this place goes above and beyond when it comes to customer comfort level & high quality work for car services. Car issues are always frustrating and expensive, but as soon as I get in my car and drive off the Astro Automotive lot, I know I can feel safe to be on the road with an older vehicle. The owner Brian has always been extremely accommodating/understanding and continues to provide me with the specific information I need about whats going on with the car as well as providing me with a loaner car whenever needed. He even saved a broken part for me to show me exactly what had happened and why they had to replace it. Their prices are mid range and their quality of customer service and labor is top notch, so its worth every penny at the end of the day. You guys have all been so helpful - thanks to Brian, Ryan & Justin and whoever else has helped me out.

I have been taking my vehicles to Astro Automotive since 1997 and it has been a truly awesome experience every time. From the first time I went they have treated me fairly with timeliness, honesty and integrity through the whole process! I was convinced the first time when they were the only ones to find the shaking problem with my first car (after buying new tires, rims upon recommendation from 2 other shops) when Astro found it was bad motor mounts. Great family ran business that treats me like family when I walk in the door. These guys were great. I have done most of the work on my 2013 Jeep jku by myself but when I got lazy in the past I would take it to dealerships to get serviced. Every time I was disappointed with the customer service or the work that they did. At astro, I was kept in the loop the whole time and was even convinced to NOT spend more money with them. Tires rotated, oil changed, alignment, and new rear brakes = the Jeep is in perfect order. If you have a lifted jeep and big tires you can trust this place to do any maintenance you need.

Ive been going to this shop for about 10 years. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and do masterful work. They might be a little bit more expensive than other shops but their integrity is unmatched.

I have come to Astro Automotive to service my car several times in the past, and most recently made an appointment replace my tires. I called ahead and Tim walked me through several options until I found a set that worked best for my needs and price range. I came in on a Friday morning at about 9:15am. While working on my tires, they found that my tire pressure sensor had shattered and would need to be replaced. Tim got my input before doing any further work on the car, which I appreciated. All told, the sensor was replaced and my tires changed within an hour and a half after I arrived. Tim and Bruce were friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel well taken-care-of when I visit Astro Automotive!

These guys are the worst Ive ever experienced. Had to take my truck back 5 times to get it correct. Service manager blamed everything on my truck and not on their incompetent mechanics. Worst of all the service manager was dishonest with me in the whole ordeal. You should avoid establishments like this one.

RIPOFF. They (Brian) will try to overcharge you 50%+ the actual cost of the repairs. Their labor rate is $102 (average is $85) and drastically markup the parts (to confirm this, shop around parts). Some markup is understandable as they have to guarantee the parts and possible re-repair labor but they go way beyond whats reasonable. After they inspect your car, they will give you a ridiculous estimate to see if youll accept it. If you dont accept it, they may offer a substantially lower estimate to try to save losing your business completely. Lastly, if you care about privacy, they will gather your VIN, plate number, and attempt to collect your personal information. Save your time, skip this place and get your estimate/repairs elsewhere. So Easy! I was able to drop off my car after hours, get an oil change, pay over the phone, and get my car back, with absolutely no hassle. EJ made it the smoothest process ever and was so great and friendly. No obnoxious upselling for services I dont need, which basically guarantees Ill be back when I do need them! Fantastic service, no hassles, and inexpensive. Cant beat it!

Had some work done on a Nissan Murano and I am extremely satisfied with the work done at Astro Automotive. It was done on time and for less than I was quoted elsewhere. Their customer service is excellent and kept me informed on problems and solutions. They did not try to upsell but educate me to solutions and let me make the decisions based on cost and necessity of repairs. Some could be delayed and some necessary right away. I felt in control on the repairs and not hustled in any way. Definitely will use them again and recommend them. Nice to have trust in an honest auto shop.

If I could give a zero I would. I initially went to ASTRO to have my engine check light diagnosed as well as creaking noise in the front of my car.I was told the noise was due to struts needing to be replaced, I ordered the struts outside of Astro which cost me 1,000! and had Astro do the labor.After the repairs, I test drove my car and the noise was still there and the car felt no different.I was then told that my car is old and its hard to pint point were the noise is coming from, my car is a 2006 caddy but is well maintained, to me its not that old, Ive seen older on the road.Although my car felt no different and the issue was still there I contact Astro and asked if I can have a discount, perhaps a refund or if they can cover my labor for the other parts they they recommend to be replaced....Bruce owner denied me of any of those options and said we did not diagnose your car for struts, that your bad on your partAbsolutel BS, he lied and had the nerve to deny there recommend which had no effect.Ive used Astro n the past and they were great until this this happened.Now I will report them to BBB and perhaps they will get what they deserve.

This place treats you like family and not just another number or dollar sign. First time I used them they went out of there way to find a part for my car that everyone said was 2500.00 yet they found it and fixed my car for 600.00 and gave me a loaner car at no cost while they fixed it. I know most people dont trust mechanics but this is one place that you really can relax and have faith in !!

Brought in my Acura MDX 2004. Because of Astro my check engine light was MISDIAGNOSED for 6 months+ as I continued to pay for both parts and labor as each diagnosis was checked off the list. In the end and more than a thousand dollars later Astro said that the problem was simple: the cylinders were too tight. They loosened the cylinders and finally the problem was fixed - they still had the nerve to charge me for the labor, after all the money Id poured into the parts and labor of their misdiagnosis with no accommodations for their mistakes. The staff said it was the first time they had ever seen this problem, yet I was told when I arrived the first time that they had an Acura expert on staff. While the staff was friendly throughout and offered me a car to use the many times my car was in their shop, I would never return or recommend their business... from previous reviews this scam seems like a pattern.
