Parents went to the Dallas location numerous times when I was a kid.We live in Sherman and made the drive here today. Originally drove to a different named store in Plano (closer to home and cheaper) but due to their terrible sketchy service we made the extra drive here. Not disappointed. Needed a washer drain pump. Tony was very polite and helpful. This will be my go to spot from now on. Hidden gem!Had to come back again this past weekend for an AC capacitor. AC stopped blowing cold air. Called to see if they had the part and got it same day. Thanks to the gentleman working Saturday evening. He was a great help since this was something new to my husband. The parts are more than other vendors but they always have what we need with great customer service.

When I went to check out in the Garland store, the manager refused to complete the sale unless I provided my phone number and home address. I explained that I typically do not provide personally identifiable information in store. Manager would not say why this information was needed but agreed to call the owner. Owner refused to speak with me and instructed the manager to process my credit card only if I agreed to waive the warranty. I could have paid half the price by just ordering the part online from another vendor and received better service.

Small company with about 4 locations. Responds well to email messages during business hours. They will find your correct part and reserve it if you request or will ship it to you if you are not local. Very good counter help and during the Covid-19 event they have added extra counter distance with a remote credit card machine.I would recommend without question. Limited street parking.Bill F

In error, my oven part was sent to a different location. I needed it pretty quickly and Joshua jumped into action to help me get the part. He went out of his was to pick it up. He took a potential negative situation and turned it into a customer for life. U Fixit has great customer service and their prices are very reasonable if not lower than other competitors in the area.

I had the potential for a negative experience that was turned into a positive. I had a misunderstanding, in which the counter person did not meet expectations as promised. I left a message with the company, and the owner contacted me himself and went above and beyond to make sure my situation was rectified, and I walked away as a satisfied customer. They run their their business with class and integrity and I would certainly recommend doing business with them.

This is my favorite appliance parts place. These guys are super knowledgeable and super helpful and super nice. I just tried to buy a new heating element for my dryer and they tested it for me and told me it was fine. Saved me $60.

The guys over here at U Fix It are always helpful and they have a lot of parts in stock! They helped me fix with a compressor starter for my fridge and a new cold water valve for a washing machine. Both repairs were explained to me by the staff and took about 15 minutes each! Keep up the great work!

I called to check on a part that I needed for my dishwasher. I was greeted with a friendly voice on the other end of the horn. She gladly forwarded my call to a young man who was pleasant to chat with and very helpful in finding the correct part. Within a few moments the gentleman had found the part and quoted the price. However, the price was astronomical. I asked if they price matched and they informed me that they do not. After just a few moments of searching I found the exact part at another warehouse for 40% less than the price they offered. I would love to do business with them but found the price better elsewhere. Competing for business is a must, even for small businesses. I will give them another chance based on their kind and courteous demeanor.

Walked in looking for a part for our oven. The guy new exactly what we needed. Had the part in our hand within a minute of walking in. He looks at our part and asked if we tested the voltage because it didnt look bad. He tested it and found that it was indeed bad. We thank you for taking the time to test it. They could have easily sold the part and sent us on our merry way without taking the time. Very friendly.

I called this number and asked if they had a switch, gave them to part number and the person said yep they had it. Well I drove 30mins to the store and said I had called in about a switch 2 guys looked at each other and said didnt know what I was talking about. then I showed them the switch. They said Oh we are out of that one. I said I called and you said you had it. they said the other store must of taken the call, I said I called the number for this store. they said o the other store could have got the call if we couldnt answered WHAT So Im thinking Im talking to the store on Garland road and the other store in Duncanville took the call. This is why we all Shop on line and get free delivery what a waste of time and money in gas. Plus this is a part that they should have in stock! U-fix-it need to fix it!

I took what I believed to be a bad oven temperature sensor. The gentleman at the counter checked it out with his ohmmeter and told me the sensor was working. The issue was that the sensor had built up a black coating and it was not reading correctly. He told me to take some steel wool and buff it until the senor was shiny looking. I followed his instructions, put the part back in and it worked like a champ! I will take all of my future business to this store.

*******Lets all say ripoff artist at the same time******* *******BEWARE*******I called these guys on 08/03/2015 (yesterday) to get a fan motor ($189.95 plus tax Total $215.00) for my AC unit at my home. I gave him all of the information that he requested from my original motor and the type/Model of the unit itself (Horsepower, amps.....etc). The u-fix-it rep (Chris) says Ive got these in stock come on out (47.9 miles one way) and pick it up. Not once did he mention I needed a core in order to get the 1yr Manufa. warranty (what does a core have to do with the warranty) nor did he mention a restocking fee if the part didnt fit and I had to bring it back. Get the part take it home and the mount screw holes are different (never installed or mounted). Take it back today 08/04/2015 with my original part and he tells me that they dont carry the exact one that I need and that there is a 25% restocking fee because they didnt have the correct part. So 2 days, almost 200 miles and I had to pay them $55.00 to put a part 2 feet behind the counter because they didnt have the correct one. This ranks in my top 3 worst purchasing experiences ever. Trust me when I say some companies dont understand anything but making the next dollar. Taking care of the customer is nearly extinct. I hope all of the bad publicity was worth $55!!!!!!!!!

Cant recommend this store enough! My washer stopped draining and after looking up info online and taking my washer apart I thought it was the water pump. I called and spoke to Chris on the phone and he said he had the part. Upon arriving at the store I was met with a friendly representative and I told him about my issue. After asking some great qualifying questions he helped me identify it was probably a lid switch that needed to be replaced. I purchased the piece and upon arriving home and inspecting the piece sure enough that was the problem. I cant recommend Chris and this store enough. Thank you for saving money and time!!!!

I needed a new belt for my washing machine. U-FIX-IT had me in and out of the store in less than ten minutes, and it was only that long because the gentleman working the counter was already on the phone with another customer when I walked in. These guys are fantastic and convenient!

I showed up at 5:59 today I drove 25 minutes and they wouldnt give me the Dryer Belt that I needed because they said they had already closed down there Til .... I live 30 min away ... they told me I could come by and get it ... They close at 6:00pm not 5:59pm ... I understand its Friday but that doesnt change the fact that your store closes at 6 PM .And yes I will be back tomorrow between 9:00 and 5:00 to pick up the part ... because I have to have it .

If the part is not in inventory its usually next day. And they seem to have a large inventory on site, not often I have to come back. Its a for profit business.

Bad customer service, I called ahead of time to double check if they had a idler pulley for my dryer and the guy at the front told me yes and even gave me the price. When I get there he tells me he doesnt have it on stock and the price was higher than what he told me over the phone. When I told him that I spoked to him over the phone he completely denied it and said it might of been someone else but it wasant because he was the only one at the store. 30 minute drive for nothing.

Super helpful. We needed a dryer part just before closing, and got stuck in traffic, causing us to arrive 15 minutes past closing time. He waited for us and we got our part! Will recommend to friends for sure!

Back in the late 1980s or early 90s, we visited my husbands family in Amarillo for Thanksgiving. The day before, about 3:45 PM, as his Mom prepared to cook a huge turkey, the oven began to smoke from the control panel. Egad! I knew what to do.I called U-Fix-It Appliances Kevin Strong, in Dallas. He always called me the Washing Machine Queen, because I was always fixing mine or those of my elderly neighbors. So he knew what he was saying when he said, Its the thermostat. You can do this.My father-in-law drove me to get a soldering iron and solder and we made it to a parts outlet there moments before closing. I learned to solder on that ovens thermostat! Mmmm...that was a great Thanksgiving Dinner! We were thankful for U-Fix-It Appliance Parts!Since then, Roy and now Chris have helped me waaay beyond the call of duty. In fact, since May 8 of this year, Chris counseled me through a Lemony Snicket array of repairs. Heres how it ended:Next, I called Chris at U-Fix-It and poured out my heart. I hadn’t even tried to turn on the dishwasher, but he was about to close, and, well…He calmed me and suggested that I give it a whirl…he’d be there long enough. We disconnected and I reconnected the dishwasher. I turned the knob to ‘Start’, and THE SOLENOID CLICKED! The pump pumped!I called him back to let him know I didn’t need a new drain valve solenoid after all. He was so nice to listen to my panic and then to find out he wouldn’t even be making the sale.“But hey, how many female customers did you have who repaired a leaky van, two air conditioners [a compressor motor/cap, a blower motor/cap and a control board], a washer [coupler and pump], a fridge [good advice], a digital camera [used to take a picture of poor lizard that shorted the A/C contactor], a broken window, rebuilt a dead rack-and-pinion on an old stereomicroscope and fixed a non-draining dishwasher [piston/nut assembly] this summer?” I asked.He answered, “Counting you?”Im pretty sure that my appliances and I would shrivel up and die without U-Fix-It Appliance Parts! Thanks, Chris!!!

U-Fix-It had the part ($60.49) but was 15% higher priced than the cost from the Sears Parts & Repair Center ($50.88) and way higher than Amazon ($35.89 with free shipping). I would have gone to Sears but U-Fix-it was closer.
