Was quoted $1000-1500 for AC repair.Went in to pay after work was done and was notified of additional charges adding up to $3000.Had unauthorized work done on the car for additional repair and made to pay it later.Looked at invoice and all that was added beyond initial quote was serpentine belt repair. Where in the world does a serpentine belt repair cost $1500?I wouldnt ever go back here. Scam artists the lot of salesman there. Quote one price, then double it without notification.

Had my engine check light diagnosed and they diagnosed as misfiring and replaced all six coils for $980, then told me to pickup the same day after they replaced all coils and when I started the car with Oliver the check engine was still on and misfiring was still present. Oliver told me to bring back my car on a weekday and this would fall under warranty which did not happen instead when I brought my car on a weekday Oliver told me I have to pay another $200 to flush my car for carbon build up. I then paid again but when I got the car again the check engine and misfiring still present. Oliver then mentioned it would need more flushing of carbon but the machine that would do this is not available at their shop and told me to go to the dealer and pay $600-700 and Action Auto can’t do anything about it. I had to call them multiple times to get no solution to help fix my car but to go to the dealer after paying almost $1200!

Very pleasant, get a printout of everything that I would need done, and did what needed to be done at the time didnt go over anything else and said when I was ready I could come back and they would do a little bit at a time then call the next day. I would take my car back there again

Action Auto has been an absolute blessing. I have been taking my 2004 jeep to them for the last three years and I can guarantee you that there is not a harder working group of people out there. They have had to fix multiple major issues that my prior mechanic did not know about. I can say without a doubt my Jeep would not be running if I had used another automotive shop. These guys are absolutely the best. I have had Nat and his team at Action Automotive Service every major system on my jeep and it has never run better. I even picked up 1 or 2 MPG! (That’s a lot when you average 14 city…)If that is not enough here is my favorite story of the action auto team going above and beyond. It was a 100+ degree day and I left my car running while I ran into action auto to talk to Bret about my girlfriend’s car. Little did I know while we were talking my radiator fan failed and my car overheated and the radiator ended up exploding. The explosion was so powerful it ended up damaging my AC condenser and transmission cooler. Brett was on top of it. They had my car up and running as good as new that same day. They even came up with the idea to add an additional mechanically driven fan to make sure this never happened again. Long story short. These guys are absolutely the best!

This is the best quality auto repair shop in the area, by far. I have taken mine and all of my familys cars here for years. These guys go above and beyond to make sure your vehicles maintenance and repairs are up to date or that you are notified of possible problems. They have a much better warranty than any other shop as well. They tell you what you need or dont need done and wont recommend things unless they find it necessary. All of my cars roll on past 200k miles because of the team at Action, they rock! The only thing they wont do is a wash and wax, lol.

After 20+ years at another independent mechanic, the quality of work had become suspicious and prices were soaring. I cautiously approached ACTION AUTO hoping to find a new good mechanic. Theyre not just good, theyre fantastic! They communicate everything during the process. Straight forward estimates. Extremely reasonable prices. No surprises, and a quick turnaround time. I choose independent businesses because its their livelihood. They need my return business and for me to tell others about them. ACTION AUTO is my go-to mechanic because they do great work.

1. Overcharged for alignment2. No printout of alignment specs3. Rear alignment was off4. Alignment should never have been done because the front left suspension was bottomed out.The Action Auto nightmare started when I needed an alignment for my 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 after hitting a large pothole. The car pulled to the left and I was worried something was damaged. I called Action Auto and got a quote from the manager Brett for $130 to do a 4 wheel steering alignment on my lowered vehicle. I explained over the phone that the rear steering rack needs to be disconnected and adjusted in order to do this alignment. He said Sure we do a lot of these cars we know how to do it. This turned out not to be true.They dont take appointments so I had to go in early and wait about a half hour before they put the car on the rack. I told Brett I hit a pothole and feared something was damaged. They checked The suspension over and said everything looked ok. However, they missed one crucial issue, the drivers side front coilover locking ring had come loose and the coilover was bottomed out! That means the left front wheel was an inch and a half lower than the rest of the car! Half way through the alignment, Brett comes out and says he needs to charge me an extra $60 because he had to disconnect the rear arms. This was already discussed over the phone and the price was quoted $130. This is a red flag when half way through the alignment, after your car is already on the alignment rack, the manager increases the price! There was no mention there might be an extra charge BEFORE the alignment.Also they didnt know the location of the front camber adjustments. This was red flag number two. At the end Brett prints me a bill for $195, yes $5 more than he told me. When I asked for a printout of the before and after alignment machine specs, he said the printer was broken. I drove the car home and checked the camber adjustments in the front. One side was completely maxed out, and the other was in the middle. I then stepped back and realized the car was leaning to the left! I called Brett right away and he said to bring the car back in. When I did, thats when I checked the front coilover and found the issue. It was completely bottomed out!!!The rear was out of alignment as well which is why Brett didnt want to give me a printout. They disconnect the rear arms and redid the rear alignment a second time. I watched the tech do it this time and it took him only 10 minutes to perform this extra step which I was charged over $100 for! I feel I was taken advantage of by Brett and overcharged for an alignment that never should have been done. They should found out right away that the left side of the car was over one and a half inches lower than the right side. I ended up having to completely redo the alignment again at another shop. Andys Alignment did an excellent job and was almost $100 cheaper!

I have been screwed too many times by car repairs trying to upsell you on things you dont need and this place just gives it to you straight on what is needed today or gives you a heads up on issues that may become a problem in the future. I went here today for a smog check on my 2004 Corolla. When I arrived I informed the attendant that I had a coupon that listed 29.95 and that I also had the coupon code. He informed the charge was 40.00 + certificate fees . Since I was already there I chose to have them smog my vehicle. About 20 minutes went by and I was informed that my car did not pass or fail and that it needed to be driven to have the information sent to the computer. I thought that was odd since I had drove it in excess of 100 miles since the last service. It was neither pass or fail and was charged 41.95 for labor? When I inquired what the labor was since no test had been done I was then informed it was for a vehicle inspection fee. I did not request this service but was not going to argue. When I questioned if I returned would I be charged again for the smog check the attendant said yes that would mean 90.00+ for smog check? No thank you I will not be coming back and will test elsewhere. I would not recommend this place for smog or service as the impression I received was that they will charge for services that you may not even request. It is a bit of a rip off and not worth even visiting again.

Went in for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised to find they do full check up as part of the service! The pricing is very fair and the employees were nothing but helpful and cordial. I will say to get there early as it is by first come first serve and the wait time can get long.

Had about a 2 1/2 hour wait for a oil change and cabin filter change 2 days later found part of cabin filter bracket under seat wich they did replace as soon as I took it back in, but wouldnt recommend any garage that leaves parts under the seats. Good thing it was not a life safety issue.

Found a coupon online and went in for a smog check. CJ at the counter took care of me. Coupon applied no problem 1 flat fee out the door. I appreciated the no haggle, honest and straight forward experience. I even received courtesy call after. Very well run business.

I was quoted $32 for an oil change and had it done. When I got the bill it was over $50.00...I asked what happened to the $30 charge. He said, Oh, the oil and filter was more than quoted. For the size of this place and the nice showroom, youd think they could at least give you an honest quote on a simple oil change. They spent lots of time though telling me all the other repairs that they thought needed, which I found out later were way over priced. I will never return to this place and will caution all my neighbors about ACTION AUTO....no stars on this one, if given the choice.

This place is super expensive I called to find out how much to change out my battery if I supply the battery and all they do is labor. They stated $175 for just replacing the battery. Don’t they realize that O’Reilly will do it for free. Wow this place has to be kidding me I told them I have my own battery as well. I don’t recommend this place!

Im going to have to agree with everyone else on here promoting how it is a scam shop. A while back I took my car in to get an alignment. Now I know not many places do them, so its a supply and demand game, but $186? Ya right... They came out to look at my car and make sure what I said was actually the right details, which didnt make sense because I told them the year, make and model at the counter, what, I dont know my own car?? They confirmed that it was bone stock as he put it and proceeded to try to get my keys to put it up on the rack. I said Im still looking and getting quotes but Ill let them know. Let me tell you, it was like trying to buy a new car, he didnt want to let me leave. I realized they were slow at the time but when a customer says they want to shop around, dont hound me about how thats the best price around and I wont find a better deal then try to hold me hostage because I appeared to be naive. Long story short I took it to a place called TireMack up the street, they quoted me $80, and I laughed and just told them to do it. (excellent service there by the way highly recommended.)The best takeaway from this is the employees pestered me, I was talked to in a condescending manner as they attempted to scam me because itlooked like I didnt know about cars, and I was almost SEVERELY overcharged. Bad business tactics guys.

My thermostat & radiator blew on the way to work on my last day at that job. My regular guy wasnt open yet, but AAA recommended this place. They were friendly, honest and I was completely satisfied. Their driver, John Do (Doe without the E), dropped me off at work. Id completely forgotten places would do that. I feel bad I didnt know about them before...I couldve had my car worked on during the week the whole time I worked out there!

We had a trailer hitch put on our new car. Even though it was a very tough install. A lot harder then was expected. They were able to do a very clean and professional install. Very good customer service, great personalities. I like the fact that they give you what they call report card, they check out the entire car and let you know what needs to be done. Obviously its for them to try to get more business, but for the customer its good to know what maintenance needs to be done on the car. The prices are actually a lot better than other shops, my brother owns a shop and his price quote was higher then Action Auto, the quote was $150 less than what my brother quoted me. So theyre really good shop highly recommended

Went in for a quick oil change after making an appointment over the phone. Did not have to wait long and everybody was very nice and helpful. These guys are the absolute best. Not only do they not want your money (only whats fair, which Im totally willing to do fair) and they actually love and enjoy what they do and arent shy in saying so. Most of the workers are master mechanics. They dont want to see anybody get ripped off or over charged, like what was happening to me when I came to them for help) I had initially taken my car to pep boys and well.... Well there is a happy ending to this story. Because I found these guys, Action Auto Cypress off of Yelp because of their outstanding reviews and being so close to home. They took such good care of me and my car. I feel this is important to say, while doing the inspection aside from the main main problem I was complaining (I say informing) about there were other squeaks and noises coming from the rear end of my car that would annoy almost anyone. He explained to me because of the high price this job was already going to cost to fix what pep boys couldnt or made worse (theres was a lot of work) that we needed to only fix whats going to make and keep the car running and worry about all the little creeks and noises at a later time. Now what business out there would tell a willing paying obviously gullible and slightly naive customer not to do something that actually doesnt need to be done just to put more money into their pockets. These guys folks! Amazing! I actually ended up saving money in the end!. And of course got my car running in tip top shape. Greatgreat experience. I highly highly recommend.!

I have 5 vehicles and have been using Action Auto since December 2003. They perform the normal servicing on my cars, truck and motorhome, and when necessary they make the needed (authorized) repairs. Im a car guy, and when they bring something to my attention, Ill ask questions to give myself peace of mind that Im not being taken advantage of. I have never found that to be the case. I have found Nat and Brett to be knowledgeable, informative and straight shooters. Because of the way Ive been treated, I have recommended Action Auto to others and will do so again.

I went in for an oil change on a Saturday morning. They were very busy but very efficient. I didnt have to wait too long and they had a nice waiting area with coffee and donuts. Donuts only on Saturdays! I will be bringing my car here for all its needs

I went to Action Auto to get a harness installed for my steering wheel that added cruise control options as well as Bluetooth.They installed it, however nothing worked after they installed it. Which is fine, because they explicitly said that it might not work. Thats fine, but what is not fine is that they shorted out something in the car that made the airbag light come on.I asked them about it and they said its the nature of the job, that things like that might happen. It honestly isnt. One thing is to quote saying the part I brought I brought in might not work. But it is another thing entirely that they break something in the car that was not broken before and do not fix it.Regardless if someone brings in a part for one to install, it is their responsibility to ensure nothing goes wrong or break something that wasnt broken before. That is what a customer pays for.I will say this though to wrap up, the staff there was friendly and professional. Its just aggravating that if one pays for a service and they break something that wasnt broken before, they refuse to fix it.

Dishonest theives. I took my car in for an inspection. They came back with a long list of 10 plus items that needed to be repaired. Everything from belts, hoses to tune-up and 4 tires, etc. I took my car elsewhere for a second opinion and found out all that was needed was 1 tire replacement. I guess they thought they could rip off a female. Steer clear of this place and save yourself a grip of money.

Have used their services/support for the last two car repairs/maint now that my Volvo is out of warranty. They provide excellent service at a very fair price. They are honest and tell you not only what you should do to maintain but also what you dont need to do (unlike the dealers). Rental car was provided to me at no additional cost, AAA discounts offered without asking, friendly service and of course, free popcorn! I believe you will be all around pleased.

I did not have an appointment, but they were able to provide a smog check for my vehicle. They tested and completed this in a half hour. I was amazed it was done so quickly. They showed a high level of expertise in the office as well as the garage area. I plan to return back to Action Auto for servicing my other vehicles.

Action Auto cleaned and adjusted my vehicles rear brakes when servicing the front brakes. They soon made a strange noise. I went back and they said the rear wheel cylinders were bad and needed to be replaced. In addition, new drums, brake shoes and flush the system for $560. Would not address the noise issue until they had completed their suggested work. They would not confirm fixing the wheel cylinders would stop the noise.---Went somewhere else and for only $200 replaced rear wheel cylinders and brake pads. Drums were fine. No Noise! Works fine.---THEY OVERCHARGE AND ADD UNNEEDED WORK! BEWARE! They seem nice, but they are after your wallet.

I took my car in to have them do a front end alignment. I just had my alignment done at a different shop and my steering wheel was off a bit. Action Auto looked at the alignment and then told me it was almost dead on just off a bit and did not see any reason to adjust anything and were not comfortable charging me a penny. I have taken my wife’s car here before and these guys do great work and are very honest.

Came here for a quick light bulb change. Never been here but its down the street from my house so I decided why not give it a try. The guy at the front desk came & Took a look at my burned out bulb. left came back with a new bulb, popped it in and when everything was working I was like great. How much?? Found a good coupon online for a smog check so I thought Id give them a shot. They were efficient, have a comfortable waiting area and are polite & friendly.

I have used Action Auto for over 10 years. They have provided prompt quality service to my wifes Acadia SUV, my T-bird and 1972 Ford Ranchero muscle machine. Service is done right, on time and they drive me to my office when I drop off the car. I couldnt ask for better.

Smog check was going to take 45 mins. Not a big deal. Showed up at 4:15pm. End of the month my tags were due that next day. I was worried about time constraints it being the end of the day and end of the month etc. The whole thing start to finish with a full *vehicle inspection* took under 30 mins. And the rest of the time i was conversing with the nice guys that work the front counter *super cool* and gave me quick quotes on a few items that need attention on my vehicle. The best part of the whole trip was the free popcorn. Thanks Action!!!!!!!

Called about 10 min prior with my issueCame in 30 min before closing, the panel under my vehicle was hanging down. Told gentlemen at the counter a mechanic immidiately grabbed my keys immidiately went out and bolted it back down for no charge. Informed me why it fell and that it was a frequent easy fix.They have gained a new customer for oil changes brake s and other maimaintena strictly because of their customer service.

My first time there. The first impression was “friendly and knowledgeable with cars.” It is a AAA approved auto repair in my neighborhood. As a AAA member, I also got 10% off (up to $50) of my total bill. I had an intermittent stalling and starting problem. They did a thorough investigation to pin point the problem and fixed it in a timely manner. They also have a shuttle service to give me ride home and pick me up when the car was ready. Place is clean and professional. They don’t nickle and dime every little detail. I felt I was well taken care of at the end of the day.
