As of November this business is under new management. They replaced my stereo and added a backup camera. They showed me how it worked after and told me to reach out if I had any questions or problems. I did reach out with a question and they were super helpful, it ended up being completely unrelated to the stereo work, but they were willing, helpful, and non judgmental. Ask for Chuy, I hope I am spelling your name correctly.
Prices are reasonable. Customer service very professional. Very happy with my new stereo system. New owners are great and i recommend.
I came here to get a new subwoofer and LED headlights. Both stopped working in less than a year. One of the headlights was faulty and needed to be replaced. They did not put the interior headlight cover back on for one side so now I need to buy another one.The wiring cover for the subwoofer would come loose from the box just from the vibrations of using the subwoofer. Then it completely stopped working. I’m not experienced in electronics so I haven’t figured out why yet.The store manager told me that I had a 1 year warranty on the subwoofer and a lifetime warranty on the headlights, which was illegible from the chicken scratch handwritten receipt (which I still have). I went back to have them take a look at both issues but they told me they would not honor the warranty on a weekend and to come back when they weren’t focused on new sales. I work during the week and really only have time to do something like this on the weekend.Absolutely never ever give this place your business. It is sketchy to say the least and a complete scam.
This guy name chuy is so unprofessional he tells you one price and then he changes it up when you show up. He says that you have to wait cause the guy that will work on your car is in his lunch and you see them all drinking in the back.
This experience is one not to recommend to anyone. I purchased LED bulbs to replace my HID bulbs. After everything was all said and done, the light were working when I drove off. The next week no lights. Took it to a local shop to see if there was something wrong only to be shown that Pacific drilled and silver dollar size hole in the headlight housing (to make the bulb fit) however the other headlight housing fit just fine. But to add insult to injury Im then shown that the wiring that was provided with the purchase of LED bulbs, was not the wiring used. They took that wiring for themselves and replaces it with speaker wire. Why in the world would someone think that speaker wire is appropriate and sufficient for a high powered LED Bulb. When I go back to them to get my money back, Im offered a $300.00 store credit. Why would I ever want a store credit when Im never having anything done by them again as I tell the Manager. Is there a slot for No Stars
This shop installed a dash cam incorrectly and caused electrical issues which have left my car at a mechanic. They eventually found out that it was wired to the wrong fuses, which disabled the font cruise control sensor on my Infiniti. On top of that, tint that was installed on my M3 was done very poorly and less than 6 months later has bubbles and cracks. I’ll have to have my entire tint redone.Avoid at all costs. Poor quality of work.
My stereo system was mickey mouse 🐭 from tape to amp and speakersPacific Stereo installed a system that had quality sound at a reasonable budget. I recommend any car, truck or limo to visit this shop in Culver City you will be pleased 😀
Got a reserve camera installed along with a forward facing camera as well.. its only been a week now and Ive found the Reverse camera hanging from the mount, and every time I open and close my back door I have to adjust the camera right angle and I tightened it twice already. Hopefully me and the owner can come to some sort of agreement on how to fix it :/
They do great business, been going here since before i had my first car
Great store and workers. Good price too. They added some LED lights to my car and also helped fix other parts of my dodge charger for free. I left it with them for an hour and got some lunch and when I got back it was all finished.
This place is a joke. Almost $4k in electronics and you’d think my 9 year old nephew installed it. Avoid AT ALL COST.
Couple hiccups getting my car alarm fixed, but they are reasonable.
Before you go here make sure you do your homework. If you go there and expect honesty your in trouble. They will try to sell you thing you dont need. For example theyll tell you you need 2 harnesses when you only need one. In my case I was quoted 120$ over the phone and when i showed up they told me i needed 2x the stuff and the price ballooned up to 240$ Im somewhat knowledgeble so I began to ask questions. I worked the price back down to 140$. I thought about it for a minute than decided to go elsewhere. I began to walk out and I was stopped and told they would do it for 100$. In other words I would never let my wife go there by herself. When it comes to installation they did a clean job. The installers themselves seemed like good guys. Would I go back? now that i know the game maybe....
Adam, the owner is an amazing guy. He told me what exactly I needed. He also matched price of the DVD player available online. Service was amazing and fast. Important was next day I went back to fix the video player since it needed switch because it was displaying some warning. Adam fixed it and also added the switch for NO ADDITIONAL COST !! I give a thumbs up for them !! Thanks Adam !!!
Very helpful guys. Helped me remove an old stereo for free. Loaned me some tools no questions asked. Great shop. Will do business with as soon as I need speakers.
I got sent here by another location. Appointment was at 10 am. They didn’t show up until I left at 10:25 yo get my money back from the other location. They didn’t notify me or anything. Unreliable shop, I will not recommend it to anybody, better to pay a little more then deal with wasted time
They not only gave me an AMAZING deal on my radio and window tinting, when I went back because my tint was lifting they fixed it IMMEDIATELY without any questions. I highly recommend Pacific Stereo for your audio and tinting service. They will bet any price and they have excellent customer service.
These guys were awesome! Gave me the exact thing I needed. Good price. Had me in/out in an hour. Brad was friendliest dude with fantastic service.
A great place. Great service. Big inventory. All new products. I love it.
Adam took care of me. Great quality service and super knowledgeable. They have everything in stock. I have a bmw m3 and labor on these aren’t easy. Worth the cost.
Online it said they were opened at 9am. I get there before 9am and waited two hours for them to open so they opened at 11. Irritated. Plus the guy was telling me a different deal over the phone. A big waste of time! Don’t support this business. They should be shut down for good!
Prompt and friendly for a Saturday install. Did a flat-rate stereo install and was good about making sure everything worked well, even when it took longer than he had expected (mainly because I came with a pretty low quality unit to install). Trustworthy guys.
Worst experience and had to call the police on them for trying to steal a part they took off without my permission and charged me for it.. do not go there.. I cannot believe they are able to do business
I have had Pacific Stereo install a radio in one vehicle and an alarm in another and they have done an excellent job both times. I had the local Chevy dealer quote me a price of over one thousand dollars to install the radio in one vehicle. I went to Pacific Stereo and they put a great radio with bluetooth and microphone in for $275.00. Since the first time I went there I have had need for replacing a remote access for my keyring and they were the best price I could find. I had to take my vehicle to the body shop for repairs and the body shop disconnected the alarm and when I got the vehicle back I went to Pacific Alarm and they hooked the alarm back up for no charge. I recommend Pacific Alarm for any kind of radio, alarm or other related needs that you may have. Nice people who know what they are doing.
Don’t waste your time with these clowns straight up!!
Terrible business Terrible the literally left with my sound worse after leaving there and 2 thousand dollars later DONT DO BUSINESS AT THIS PLACE
I have a 2016 bmw 6 series. My factory bass stopped working so I brought my car to Pacific stereo and they fixed the issue installed a new amp with s nice subwoofer and it sounded great for a reasonable price! Great work and service really nice people !
I had some problems with connections doing my own installation of a Radio/Nav/GPS/Rear View camera system in my car. They were very helpful and for a minor charge they supplied the required connectors, made the connections and verified the operation of the system. This was done in spite of my having bought the system online, not from them. Very helpful.
Not sure if people say this anymore, but Im giving Rad a big shout out. I had an issue with the blue tooth in my car. I called and Rad told me to bring my car in. I was really hoping he could troubleshoot the issue so I would not have to take my car to dealer. He looked at it, did some troubleshooting and the problem was fixed just like that. So if you require any stereo services this shop is the place to go. I have been here before for something, just cant remember. But if and when I do, Im going to straight to
Guys were very cool there. They give me pretty good deal on installing sub and amp in my car.
Terrible shop, stay far away. cheap products that break within a year and they do not back their word. Prices change and staff word changes. Dont be an idiot and ignore this review just to leave one like this later. Choose another place!
Real cool spot where you can get hooked up on some good sounds. Prices are a little high but the quality is great
I am very please with this place. They were punctual, friendly and their fees are reasonable. . I will be back if needed. I have a Toyota Camry 8 years old in great condition and I love it but didnt have a rear view cámara. Therefore, I went to have my rear view mirror cámara. Installed.
Tried to sell me stuff I didnt need at exorbitant prices and then proceed to try and tell me that I didnt know how to install a radio and that I should have them do it. Everything is way cheaper online and you dont have to deal with their obnoxious staff.
Good job and good customer service. Happy I came here
I purchased a Sony Bluetooth Stereo after market for my Mercedes from Pacific Stereo in March 2014. They set up everything in a few hours & I was able to use my phone hands free. This past April, I purchased a new phone & couldnt get the blue tooth to function. I took it back over to them & they showed my how to program the Bluetooth once again. They are very knowledgeable & extremely helpful. I highly recommend this company.
Important: I used only their installation services; I did not buy a stereo from them.I purchased my stereo at the local Best Buy, price-matched against an online deal, and they were out of stock of the mounting kits for my car. That was fine, as I knew in the back of my mind going to Best Buy for install services isnt the best idea. The guy recommended I check out Pacific Stereo if I wanted it done sooner than it would take to get the parts in.I called them up, and he suggested I come by so he could see specifically what I would need before giving me a quote. When I got there he met me right at the door, glanced at the car, and rattled off a list of components Id need, totaled it on a calculator, and with service and tax it came to just over $100. He asked if I was paying cash, I was, and he dropped it to $90. That was $10 more than Best Buy was going to charge for installation alone, without parts. I asked him how long it would take, and was told 30-45 minutes. I was sold.45 minutes later I returned, was handed my keys, and was out the door. The installation was flawless, with no sign of intrusion to the panel, flush, clean install, etc. I went through the instructions and was surprised to find that the Bluetooth functionality uses and includes a microphone. I got a sinking feeling as I realized that hadnt been discussed when he looked at the car and kit, and I saw no sign of it anywhere on the dashboard. I finally resigned myself to figuring it had been skipped over, and realizing I hadnt planned on having it anyway. Then I looked up. Nestled behind my rear-view mirror, run from beneath the ceiling upholstery, was the microphone, perfectly installed with, again, no sign of intrusion or damage. What a great surprise.I cant speak to what its like to shop here for a stereo, and whether at least one other review about them cheating on a purchase is true, but for my straight-up installation, these guys were fantastic. Highly recommended.
I like these guys. They quoted me for some 5 1/2 speakers. Turns out I needed bigger ones. They still honored the same price. Installation was very clean and professional. They even took care of my alarm antenna that had been falling of the windshield. Definietly going back for more stuff.
Pacific Stereo installed a 2-way (no other function just alarm, lock and unlock) Model: DEI Avital 5305L on June 5, 2016. They also sold me a Johnson Executive tint as a packaged deal for a fair price. Both with lifetime warranty.I purchased my car on a Saturday night and needed an alarm installed as quickly as possible. Pacific Stereo is one of the only few places open on Sundays (Call in advance, this is family owned shop) and they pulled through with my install. I can tell that these guys work hard, learn from previous experiences and applied it to the work they did to my car. They make an effort to continue to improve. When they finished the alarm install they insisted on walking me through the installation which I was quite surprised. I checked the function of the alarm and the installation, it looked OK. I give these guys 5 out of 5 stars.
I came in on a Saturday, no waiting for my car stereo installation. It took all of 45 minutes, and they were done, including the satellite and the microphone, so Im beyond impressed. George had given me a quote a few days before, and they actually charged me $10 less! Nice guys, all of them, but just know that they are ON their game and do try to sell, sell, sell you on their other products and services. I would expect nothing less in best business practices, so they get an A+ from me. Thanks George and Adool!
***FIRSTDo yourself a favor and have a look at the 1 star reviews. They truly reflect my experience.***SECONDThey have hidden their business name with ---- for a reason. Its a way of cheating the yelp system and avoiding past poor reviews.I worked with Adam as my sales person. Good luck on getting a straight answer out of him on what exact part he is including in your package deal. I am a savvy shopper and like to know what price im paying and for what model part. Each time I asked Adam what model speaker or amp he would either point on a very poorly put together demo wall or just say ill give you Alpine. I finally got one item price out of him for a Alpine woofer and doing a quick search on Amazon, he price was almost $30 more.I visited the store 2 times and was quoted $750 on the first visit and then $900 on the second. We agreed on $800. He then showed me an additional part and said that since I was staying with my factory head unit it would greatly improve the sound. That item was $100. So at this point im $900 all in.I left my vehicle around 11am and was told it would be a few hours and he would call me. Patiently waiting and noticing that he closes at 7 I called after 7 and he said oh, yeah...its ready. A call would have been nice.I picked up my vehicle and was in a hurry to get to my night job so I really didnt have time to go over everything. I asked where the additional part ($100) was located so I could make adjustments and Adams response was I didnt install that because we took more time on your truck than expected. WHAT!? Not my issue ADAM. Learn to properly quote a vehicle install. So by my math that would make my install $800...NOPE. Pricing with this shop is like a slimy used car sale...never a straight answer.Upon inspection the next day I noticed plastic coating from stripping wires all over my truck. I have all weather rubber floor mats and they actually removed those and left copper wire all over my brand new trucks rug floors. It took me almost 2 hours to get most of it out by hand since it doesnt vacuum up.Another issue is engine noise coming from my speakers. I called and made arrangements to come by and each time was turned away, even though I was told to come on a Monday or Tuesday (and did so twice) when it was less busy. On my final visit I was told to head in and they would take care of it. When his install guy said it would take (2) filters to fix the issue he said it would be $40 to get rid of the noise and again reminding me he lost money because they took longer on my truck.Heres a lesson in customer service Adam-When you quote a price- stick to itWhen you talk about how the most important part is the professional install- actually do a professional jobWhen installing a system- test it out and inform the customer there is an issue and be an additional charge to resolveWhen your install isnt up to standard dont act like your doing the customer a favor by fixing itI try to support small business and give positive reviews, but no way does this business deserve any more than 1 star
They are dishonest and will waste your time and money. Stay away!
There are times when you want to support a small business and other times when you want to go to the big guys. When it comes to your car stereo, dont trust your car in the hands of the hacks at Pacific Stereo. When replacing the front two speakers in my car, the team at Pacific Stereo ended up breaking my automatic locks, only to claim that it had already been broken before they started (very untrue). Even though they broke my locks, they were upset that they had to fix them and the least apologetic group of workers Ive ever seen. The people who work here are also pretty racist. They say that their work is better because theyre not like a black shop. They often ask people to pay cash for a discount, so chances are there is some sketchy tax gaming going on here. These guys are rude, abrasive, do a crappy job, and have a problem with African-American run businesses. This place is one of the worst businesses Ive been to in L.A.
Amazing customer service and helpful service highly recommend this place if you’re trying to get anything for you car !!!!!
If I could leave a 0 star I would. I paid 1500 for rims and tires cash up front. They have my car for two days and they let me know my car is ready that they would pick me up. They pick me up and bring me to thier shop just to let me know that the rims didnt fit. They knew all day these rims didnt fit but never thought to call me or tell me with our many conversations throughout the day . They lost my trust at this point. They ordered new rims and called me two days later when they had the rims . I drove the car home and the next day my back rims almost falls off the car they failed to tighten the lugg nut enough so the rim almost came off the car thank God I was only a block from my house and not on the highway . Stay far away they have a low star rating for a reason. I had my car towed to a credible tire place hopefully it didnt do much damage I couldnt see letting them touch my car anymore. Update after sitting at firestone all day they used the wrong size lug nut just one and it was rubbing inside and broke off and the tire had trouble spinning. They also used too much torque so I had another lug snap right off. Its hard getting the right size lug because its not a bmw rim. Also they didnt leave me a wheel lock of course and My tire pressure was all messed up. They should just stick to window tint and stereos
Been going there for years good service & they do good work wouldnt go anywhere else
This guy tries to get over on you. We spoke via phone and text messages, came to an agreement, then I drove more than 60 miles to his shop just to get a different deal. He didnt even have the speaker I asked about. He kept trying to sell me other lower end quality speakers I wasnt interested in. I dont know why he cant just be honest and say that he doesnt have what I want in stock. In the end he tried to order what I really wanted, but I would need to come back in 2 days. I wasted my time going here. Not recommended due to the dishonesty. Prices are nothing special either. Theyre pretty expensive and not professional at all.
I bought a stereo for my car, been looking for it for a month but neither best buy nor other big brands didnt have what I wanted. They give bona fide prices. I strongly recommend them
I was in LA looking for to install my stereo .. and I find this Place ...this guy his name Edd hey look me up in my car done a nice job and have the price quality job .. thanks pacific 405 stereo.. I will come back again ..👍
The owner was fighting with a past customer in the parking lot and then gave me a price ridiculously high for a radio and 4 speakers. I read the bad yelps went anyhow. Waste of time.
Outstanding performance and professional servicesHonestly and very helpful
Its a great place and love their prices .... Ps best customer service
This place is a rip off! They pick and choose who the give the deals to. Everything is about making you pay and they dont own their mistakes. They lose and break sh** and make excuses. They dont match prices like they claim and they over charge. Do your homework and research before you buy or have them install ANYTHING!
My experience with this place was beyond horrible, probably because Im a women so they simply caused me a lot of headache and ripped me off!I called and Faisel quoted me $550 for GPS, Bluetooth and backup camera for my RV. This sounded reasonable and he says Come in, I take care of you.I did and as I walk in the door, George (who speaks much better English) doesnt honor the price and tell me Faisel is new and doesnt know the pricing. (Faisel is the manager, George lied). So I agree to pay $700 because of course theres so much labor with an RV (violin sonata). So we go outside and George decided the camera wont work on the license plate, it will have to be mounted high and tells me it will be another $200, $900 total and thats the discounted cash price!I agree because George seems honest and I believe him.Anyway, they put on the camera 8 hours later (although it only took 2 hours to install) and all you can see is about 3 feet behind the vehicle because ITS THE WRONG CAMERA!!!They made holes in my RV, ruined the headliner, stained the seat, etc, etc, I was so upset! After the nest day when they finally found the right camera, I happened to look at the equipment they installed and found I could have gotten the same thing at Walmart for $160 for the GPS unit and $30 for the camera. So, I guess they charged me $700 for labor, thieves!!!Its my fault, I should have looked the what they were selling me beforehand but I trusted the reviews. I not believe most of them were written by their family members.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!
The staff has no clue what matches with what amp and woofer just looking for the quick sale and installation. Not looking to make the customer happy.but to sell another product to if that will work. Why do they give u a 1 year warranity for. When you have one sub that means 1 channel amp not a 2 channel thats for 2 woofers not one.thats what i am talking about how can this place have high stars. Beware of this problem here. Im not happy with my product at all. I will not tell any of my friends about this one.
Beware of the Floyd!I found an ad from Pacific Stereo 405 on craigslist selling a Pioneer for $100 less than anywhere else I could find. So I called up and Floyd said that it would be $240 and it included labor. What a deal I thought...After getting there, Floyd told me that it would $35 more for the install because my car was hard to work on and I also had to buy a wire harness for $25.But even with the shady deal he was making me, it was still cheaper than everywhere else, so I agreed. Then Floyd told me that with tax (out the door) it would be $330 and hed throw in a microphone (for hands-free calling) for a total of $350 as long as I paid cash. That, to me, is really kind of under-handed.And now, the price was exactly what everyone else was selling it for.But since I was there, I figured I was breaking even. So I let them install it.Come to find out AFTER I got home, one of the other car audio places called me back from a previous call and I told him what I got. And he told me that the microphone come in the box for free and I paid them an extra $50 for nothing.Folyd came off as being a cool dude. But as far as Im concerned, I got ripped off.I tried going to consumer affairs, but since I paid CASH and the receipt was not itemized (it only said I bought the Pioneer for $350, no install or harness or microphone charges were listed), there was nothing they could do about it.If you like to bend over for them because they CLAIM theyll beat anyones price, I caution you to be aware of getting scammed with extra labor charges, extra harness charges and paying extra for items that already come with the unit for free.Ill NEVER go back to this place.
Complete scumbags. Ripped me off on a dash video player for my car that straight up didnt work. Then replaced it with another one that didnt work after I had to drive across the country. The owner is a complete sleaze. You are 100% guaranteed to get ripped off by these dudes. Go somewhere else.
It was 5pm on the 23rd of December. I got a ton of shopping to do. I had already taken my son to the airport so I had his car and he needs a new radio. I want Bluetooth stereo, with new speakers. The kids car is a 1990 Laser (pronounced laser while holding up finger quotes in the air). Called this place and they said be here in 15 minutes with $350 in cash. I arrived. First names only. Good informative discussion outside about strippers while the stereo was being installed in the garage. Felt like I was playing GTA . Love these old school mobsterish sales guys. They installed a sweet Sony rig and at least four new speakers. Did the job quick. I even went ahead and bought an alarm system with key fob and drivers side power door lock including install for a buck fiddy ($150). After Christmas I want my hipster kid to come down here to get the alarm installed and try and get out of this place without them selling him a sub woofer. Merry Christmas son.
Ive been going there for years and I never had an issue. Always Great experience honest people and the best prices
They tell me they have something very specific, cl2 rated speaker, drive down there, guess what, they don’t have it... they showed me the 2 options they told me over the phone, neither cl2 which they actually repeated back to me over the phone, look elsewhere.
They simply dont answer the phone
The best car stereo installation
Super unprofessional! They worked on my friends car and he had to go back 5 times because they kept messing up his car. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
This shop is double the price of the ones off central near 12th street in downtown LA and they ask you to pay cash so that they avoid paying taxes.
Unprofessional and rude, scam art, Complete waist of time, i called them 3 times to double check the price as per their add on craigslist for $199 inc installation, they assured me they have it in stock and it is that price, even made an appointment and tripled checked the price, explained to them that its a 2 hour drive for me there, got there and they said $299, and no they are not gono honor their own add, i would never recommend any one here, scam artists.
Sold me a $300 speaker .. come to find out .. it’s $22 online . They are scammers . They should be ashamed
Great Service..
Went for Christmas sell was told over the phone they had the amplifier and speakers in stock Was told one price on the phone when, I got there the price went up And they did not have What I was looking for in stock . Stay far away from this place...
They are not honest and item over price
This is some scammers they made me sign up for a company to borrow a loan and they charge me more than $1000 just to change a stereo if you guys are reading this I tell you right now is a rip off if I were you I would just find somewhere else they are freaking liars
Worst car audio scheme artists I ever met
Worst customer service and very unprofessional the work Is not good and made me regret going they messed up my electrical system on my car and had to get it repaired somewhere else
Quick, honest, and friendly!
Professional establishment
Scumbags
The owner is a rat ace about a year ago I went to this place I took an amplifier to connect it and then He told me the owner who occupied another I bought it and all the speakers also bought them and then it turns out that the avia led was not useful and I said if I just removed it from another car if it serves and it already says what we have to fix it to cost more and when able with a worker of his own business he said if he serves, he is cheating you, he wants to take you out more fair
