Highly recommend. I had been told by another shop that I needed new front and back break pads and new rotors. Took my car here instead and they said my back break pads were at 50% so I only needed front ones. Charged me $300 when the other place quoted me $1,200. They also got me in and out quickly on a Saturday without an appointment.

Westside helped me so much over the last month through figuring out constant issues with my car from misfire codes to leaking fluid and random engine lights. They made sure I could afford what I needed and helped me at every corner with kindness and patience. Amazing family and great service.

I woke up to a low tire warning signal. Westside Brake and Tire rushed me in and looked at it right away. I thought it was a slow leak but after they did a through inspection they found it was actually the cold weather making the warning light up. The business was professional, fast and courteous - and they didnt even charge me to check it (once they found there was no issue with the tire). I was able to get back to work for my 9am meeting - they are just amazing, Ill never use anyone else now. **PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE DIGITAL MAP LOCATION FOR THIS BUSINESS PUTS YOU IN THE WRONG SPOT. A true honest mechanic. Had a bit of a hiccup today that unfortunately they werent able to do the service that I had told on the phone they could do. It was frustrating, but Pedro explained things very clearly why and absolutely did right by me. It just was an understandable miscommunication. Every other time Ive brought my car to them they have been able to fix it quickly and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be continuing to use their services not in spite of how they handled things today but because of how they handled it. Absolutely recommend.

I do not leave reviews, and I definitely never thought the first one I did would be so negative. Honestly, if youre from Culver or LA, you might want to try this familys business out, BUT IF YOU ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN stay away. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and it has not been the same ever since. I have always kept good care of my car, constant oil changes, fluid changes, brake changes... When I went there, they tried to make it seem like I did not do routine maintenance. I got my car back and the check engine light would not turn off.. Now my car is louder than before, does not transition correctly, and so much more. More than anything, I am disappointed in this family because they were so friendly and nice to me. I believe you guys can do better, and I hope you do. I hope you do not take advantage of anyone else that comes to your door. I dont know if they assumed I had money, but if you are reading this, I did not. I still dont. And now I am struggling to figure out how I will make it to work every day.

I used to use this shop a lot but this last time I went in to have some engine issues checked out Pedro humored me and said everything was fine. One week later I was stranded in a bad neighborhood at night with a dead starter. Everyone Ive talked to in this biz said he could have tested the solenoid and would know it was going bad. I had the best experience with westside brake and tires! I needed a tire replaced. Jennifer was so polite and helpful both on the phone and in person. I sadly don’t know the name of the gentleman that helped me but he was equally as wonderful. They ordered me a new tire, were open and honest with their (fair!) pricing, and once I dropped my car off it was ready within 45 minutes. This was the best experience I’ve ever had with anything related to car repair and I cannot recommend them enough!

I hit a curb- hubcap popped off and rim was dented pretty bad. Took my time to find a replacement hubcap and called Westside to see if they could repair the rim and install the hubcap. When I say Pedro took care of me, HE TOOK CARE OF ME. Told me they couldnt fix the rim but he could find one for me; the parts and labor quoted were reasonable. But what he was most concerned about was my tire pressure. He would not let me leave unless he checked it first. As suspected, it was leaking quite badly. He asked if he could put on the spare for now or if I just wanted to leave it overnight if I didnt need it. He was genuinely concerned for my safety. I left it and they called the very next morning saying it was all fixed and good as new. Ill be sure to come back if my car ever needs work done. This is a small, family owned business and they treated me like family

I called ahead to get an appointment, and was told they just take walk-ins, so bring it in the next day. I came in at 8:30 before work, had a tire and oil changed, and was back in my car before 11:00. Very helpful, polite and professional. Advised some other things that could get fixed, but didnt push me when I said no.Great, fast service, and very polite.

Just wanted to say that all of the positive reviews are on the money! As I was leaving a doctors appointment, I noticed I had a flat. Rather than waiting for a tow I decided to check Google for something close by. After seeing all of the positive reviews on Westside Brake & Tires I decided to try my luck.Luck was certainly with me. Not only did I make it without ruining my rims, I was promptly greeted by Jennifer who told me not to worry, so I didnt. I was a little concerned about the wait time bc they were really busy and I was a walk in. I was actually happy I waited though bc I got a chance to see some of the regulars come in. I dont often do reviews but I really wanted to as this place was amazing.TL; DR - great guys, quick service, great deal, drive away happy.I went to a handful of other places to get a flat fixed. These shops both big and small wouldnt even look at the tire and just wanted to sell me two new ones. Out of frustration, started calling places for tire quotes instead of driving around anymore. Pedro first quoted me new tires as I now didnt think someone would repair my flat. Then I described what happened and he said bring it in and they would be happy to look at it.Brought it in, Pedro said they would need to look at it but looked like they could fix it. I left my tire and hoped for the best but expected the worst. Since I had already gotten quotes for tires from him I thought there wasnt going to be a reason for them to fix it. But I checked back after about an hour and they said its fixed come on back. The (very small and reasonable) cost was a fraction of what I thought I was going to pay for tires. I was astounded. They put my tire back on and I was on my way. Still cant believe it! They were busy but they fit me in and they were very honest.Thank you Pedro and Will (and crew) I am so thankful for you guys.

I have brought my car here two times. Both times they have tried to oversell me on more than I had requested and the second time they claim to have inspected the car and told me parts that are less than 2 months old are the same problems from 2 months prior. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

This is hands down the best repair shop Ive ever been to! I got a flat tire and I was worried that I will have to replace 2 tires, but instead of upselling me, they repaired it for $45, filled up all my tires evenly, and even took the time to educate me on why car tire repair foam is bad for my car so I dont ruin the rubber and pressure sensor in the future. Wow! Pedro (the owner) and his family-run business were absolutely great. I had put off fixing the air conditioner on my old truck for years - years! - as I kept getting a run around on pricing from other shops and it always involved a $90 dollar gamble to diagnose the actual problem meaning that if the whole job was going to be too much and I decided against it, Id still be out the $90 bucks. Well, Pedro said hed do the diagnosis for free which he did, and then came back with a really reasonable and fair price for the job. AND it was done in one day. AND he gave me a very fair price on an alignment. AND he was honest and nice through the whole process - as was his son who was at the front desk. I came here for a flat tire. In under 45 minutes they patched it up and saved me from having to purchase a brand new tire worth over $200. Westside is the place to go!!

I had a puncture right next to an already existing patch. They offered to put a used tire on for free that would be safe for a week if my new tire wasnt available. Happily, that wasnt necessary because they were able to get a new tire delivered for me in less than an hour. Great service at a fair price!

Westside breaking tires is phenomenal when it comes to customer service. I had a flat tire call them up and they had my tire size and gave me two options that were both reasonably priced if I needed a repair. Got stuck in traffic with the tow truck, periodically called them up along the way and even though I got there 20mins before closing, they checked out my tire, showed me that it couldnt be repaired and had me out of there in no time with a brand new tire. Additionally they double checked all my tires to make sure everything was balanced. This place is old school in their service and Id highly recommend going to them if you need any tire work done.

Amazing place. Did not have an appointment and I needed to find a tire for cheap dive I had a flat. They were able to find one last of my exact tire (used) so it saved me well over dollars!!! I went to other shops to get my rims taken off which were locked on. I had no key to remove them. No prior shop would/could do it until coming here. They had it done in fifteen minutes so I proceeded to buy 4 tires and get a master cylinder put in. This was all done in about 2 hours. I am so satisfied. I would recommend anyone to go to West Side B&T.

Very honest car shop, they held my car for 2 days and had several people take a look at it and by the end they said they couldnt find anything wrong and the noise I was hearing was probably just wear and tear/the car getting old. Ended up changing my tires because I wanted to give them business for being so upfront, which is difficult to find in an auto shop these days. I would highly recommend these guys.

The people at Westside are great. Super helpful and honest. Past interactions have shown that they would rather have a happy customer who comes back over making some extra money by selling you something that you dont need or ripping a customer off. I will definitely be coming back here.

They’re knowledgeable and professional. Since my own work was cancelled I called Westside Brake and Service and asked if a walk-in was okay. The shop was quite busy so I spent 4 hours around there. All my rotors turned, smooth and brakes nice and firm.

Took 6 hours to patch up the brakes and calipers (this could be normal as I presume they maybe had other cars being worked out before) but despite this the customer service was phenomenal. Great and friendly staff. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about this mechanic as I am about every new mechanic place I go too but this was definitely top notch customer service. The mechanic showed me exactly what was wrong. Super friendly and would recommend to anyone!

Westside Tire helped me in a pinch. I just had a minor accident where I tried to avoid getting side swiped I curbed my tire and i thought could be repaired, but of course not my luck I had to get a new tire and so they ordered me one, same exact to match my new car wheels and was able to be repaired next day as soon I went in, they even were on their lunch but they saw I had small child so they had someone come and clock back in to get the job done as quickly possible! I was treated with respect by Pedro, and my car was well taken care of. The office admin communicated well with me about what times and prices to expect, and I can tell that Pedro manages his staff well because they also delivered quality repairs within the proper amount of time for those kinds of repairs. I cant say enough good things about this shop! I took my mother-in-laws car in for a set of problems the dealership listed. Pedro checked every item for free and went over what really needed to be fixed and what can wait. Their price was also much better than the dealership.Today, I took my wifes car in for an alignment. Pedro took me for a drive first to see if that was even needed and diagnosed it as tire balance issue and possible bent rim. He was right on he money. He could have easily just let me get the alignment, but instead I got the correct repair which was much cheaper! During our test drive, we got to know each other a little bit! The streets of LA threw a wrench in my drive home yesterday & I got two flat tires in the middle of rush hour. He told me the price and said they would get it handled right away and even gave me the number for an amazing tow truck driver. I wish I lived in LA so I could take all my car problems to Westside Brake & Tires. I was driving our Chrysler Town & Country from San Diego to Santa Monica when the transmission failed on the 405N. The tow truck driver recommended Westside, and when there, I was treated with the utmost courtesy and professional advice by owner Pedro Lopez and his team which includes his daughter Jennifer and son. The free computerized inspection confirmed the transmission problem, and revealed that the issue might still be under warranty. Pedro facilitated the transfer of my car to a dealership where the work could be done under this warranty. While I was waiting, I observed the way the team handled the many customers that come in, and how everybody left happy. It is a top-notch facility. I wholeheartedly recommend Westside Brake & Tires.

Im hooked. Im coming back. Ive been neglecting my truck for years and the brakes were making noise, so I brought it to Westside. Pedro checked it out, called me and explained step-by-step what needed to be done to the brakes & pointed out other things we should keep our eye on (because the truck has greater than 112000 miles) and he noticed a lot of corrosion on the battery. Because Im cheap, I asked what really needed to be done. Pedro said other than the brakes, nothing was an emergency except the battery concerned him. Then he said he would clean up the battery for free, but wanted me to be aware of it.He finished the job quickly & when I pulled off the lot, I swore it was driving much better than when I took it in. My wife was driving it later and said the same thing unprovoked. We noticed the broken emergency brake light was fixed (it previously stayed lit all the time)Its nice to find a place you can trust to do a great job. No more dreading about keeping a 17 yr old vehicle as long as Pedro is around and I suspect it will last another 17. Pedro, be looking for us to bring it in for a tune up and a new timing belt.

My 2014 Civic driver side break pads and rotor were damaged due to driver negligence of continuing to drive when it needs maintenance and although shop knew that for 40K mileage car that is the first Time changing the pads is not normal wear and tear but they refused to give me proper report and I had to go to another shop for diagnostic report to receive my money from insurance back. If you need a proper repair and documentation this is not were you want to go.

You guys were super friendly but my new tires were about 8psi too low (did you forget to inflate tires?). They didn’t have air valve caps. And the alignment wasn’t done.If you ran out of time, I understand, but someone should have mentioned it.

Got a flat tire on the 405. Limped our way off the freeway and fortunately found our way here. People were great! Had us back up and running within an hour. Comfortable, cool, hip looking waiting room I live in Sherman Oaks but would actually consider going back to Culver City to Westside Brakes and Tiresif I need new tires. They took all the stress out of what could have been a really trying experience.

So I had some issues with my Camry and needed repairs. I took it to the Toyota service place in Culver City and to do the brakes, fluid, transmission and spark plugs they quoted me well over 2000 dollars. Having heard about this place from a friend I called and they told me to bring my car to them. Pedro quickly helped me identify and prioritize the issues that neeeded to be resolved and gave me a price that was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than what Toyota quoted me. I am extremely pleased and will be back here in the future guaranteed. Family business ran by Father and his daughter and son. We need more honest mechanics in our area. 5/5

I need 2 tires mounted on a lowered sports car with aftermarket rims. Called and they said bring it on in. Sure enough from the time I hung up to the time the tires were on the vehicle was less than an hour. Very reasonable rates too. No scratches on the rims. Im picky about who other than me works on my car and I was happy with the service and level of detail.
