Bob is a very trustworthy and honest mechanic, which is hard to find these days. They work on import and American cars (no European) and the prices are always reasonable, which I think many can agree and thats what keeps us coming back. Keep up the great work Ed Little!

After going to a Toyota dealer for a recall notice, the dealer gave me a list of items that needed to get addressed and get fixed ASAP. I brought the list to Ed Little Auto Service and Bob said they would confirm if the list of service items the dealer provided were needed. Sure enough none of the items were critical like the dealer made it seem like. Ed Little Auto Service serviced my Prius for so much less than what the dealership would have charged me. Ed Little Auto Service is honest, trustworthy, affordable but most of all an expert in auto repair.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with an auto shop. As a young female I often feel manipulated and lied to when it comes to getting my car fixed. Ed was completely honest with me and gave me sound advice. He could have charged me big bucks, but instead was honest with me about what was worth fixing with my cars high mileage. I would recommend him to everyone, but especially females who need an honest assessment of their vehicle. This is how business should be done, and I will definitely be returning next time my car needs anything.

Bob and his crew are the people you can trust.I found Ed Little Auto Service after reading through some bad yelp review on Culver City Toyota. I had taken my car into Culver City Toyota for an oil change and came back with a list of problems that appeared all at once. I had recently changed the passenger air cabin filter myself and sure enough, it came off as something that needed to be replaced immediately in addition to far more expensive items such as replacing the ball joints ($800+) dollars. I called Bob and even though he was booked till the next week, he said he would still do a quick inspection if I drove by and go line by line off the list provided by Toyota and tell me if the issues were actually really issues. Turns out, I didnt have a ball joint issue and everything seemed fine. I had changed the spark plugs myself the day prior which might have been the only thing that really needed to be replaced (car is at 130k miles).They even taught me how to check for certain things like how to check the braking fluid. While I wanted to pay them for their time and the inspection, they didnt even accept any money. Ed Little Auto Service is a gem of a shop and so are the people running it. I dont write all too many reviews but this place is worth telling people about!

Ok so I didnt actually get my car fixed here but I thought I had an issue with my starter and they checked everything for free right away and were super nice and helpful so I would come again

Today was the first time I went to Ed Little, and a kind man named Bob took care of checking my car to make sure it’s safe to drive for a long trip. Even though he did more than I asked for, he wouldn’t accept a dime for his service. I appreciate his generosity and will be returning again soon!

I always feel they truly care about their customers. They are honest and thorough. The first time I went to them, they discovered a problem that the dealer needed to fix with no cost to me. They could have easily charged me to fix it themselves but they noticed it was the dealers responsibility and what to tell them. I continued to bring my car with each concern and I always feel taken care of.

These guys are the best! Bob and all of the guys there treat you with respect and are honest and dependable. I’ve taken my car there multiple times and if there’s not an issue they tell me upfront. If there is an issue they take care of it with no surprises. Would highly recommend coming here for any of your automotive needs!

Very fair pricing and fast service. I like the idea of supporting local business and will bring my car back for any other routine maintenance or repairs I may need. Had my brakes inspected before I came here, and was quoted some outrageous price from a supposedly good mechanic on La Brea, a referral by a good friend. What a joke! I brought my domestic make car in and ended up only needing rear brakes done. Saved me ALOT of money. Also definitely better than the dealers quote as well that I had before I moved here. But my dealership always tried to get $$ from me. Dont they all?! So far so good on the work they did. I would recommend them to anyone with a car issue or definitely for a second opinion on a repair.

I can not recommend Ed Littles any higher, they not only complete repairs within the time stated and at reasonable prices, but they are completely honest. Before going to Ed Littles, I had my car serviced elsewhere and came back with a list of repairs which seemed excessive and costly. I then took my car to Eds based on a recommendation for a second opinion and saved myself literally thousands. They even advised that one of the suggested repairs, which I think was for a coolant flush, cannot and should not be performed on my car for its entire lifetime. They printed this fact for me from the Toyota website which I was then able to show to the previous repairer. Thanks Ed Little Auto Service, we only bring our cars to you now!!!

I have been going to Bob for over 20 years. He takes pride in what he does and would tell you what he can or can not do (he will refer you to the guys he trusts). He doesnt push me to do something thats unnecessary. Often he would diagnose or fix it on the spot so I wouldnt have to wait or come back. Bob and his guys are terrific!

I am sad to say that after having great experiences at Ed Little over the past few years, our latest one was quite disappointing. My husband arrived at 7:30am (in order to be expedient during a work day amidst Covid) and by 9am, they had not even begun to work on our car. A shame.

I love this place! Bob and Ed and all the guys there are so helpful and they go out of their way to make sure that everything you need is taken care of. I got a long laundry list of things I needed to fix from the auto dealership after a recall replacement, and frustratingly most of the dealership’s list did not need to happen and they were charging way too much money on top of that. I’m so grateful I went to Eds because they always treat you honestly kindly and with the utmost integrity and I can’t imagine going elsewhere for any car needs in Los Angeles.

The guys here are honest and they won’t try to upcharge or sell you on things your car doesn’t need. Very friendly and quick service as well. Will definitely continue to come back to this place:)

Ive been coming here for years. Bob and his team never BS me or ask me for unnecessary repairs. I always get straight talk and dont get charged for every question/piece of information/etc. Theyve worked on my 4Runner and my previous car - a Camry Hybrid. When they cant handle a repair they send me to an equally reputable source. I have never been wronged here. Highly recommend.

Bob and his crew are great - we made an appointment a week ahead since we knew they get booked up. We knew we needed front brakes, had a burnt out headlight and a couple of other questions. We dropped off the car by 8, theyd called an hour or so later to report that wed need new fronts, the rears were still in good shape. By noon the car was ready to be picked up, headlight, brakes and satisfaction, fair, honest and reasonably priced - thank you.

I brought my truck here for an oil change, while performing the oil change they discovers an error code on my truck and cleared the code at no cost. Great honest place to get work done.

Honest. Brought my car in for service and compared to the dealership price for the SAME work they were very reasonable. Work done fast and clean shop. Plus respectful. Would recommend for sure.

I had three issues: the front console/dashboard light was out, the front passenger window could not roll up all at once, and the external trunk handle had broken off.The first great thing: they said upfront that they would not charge to for the initial assessments for these three issues. And if their inspections got to a point where they were going to charge me, they would call me first to make sure that was okay. I had called at least 5 other places and I think that all but one of them charged for the inspection.The next great thing: the technician realized that the front console/dashboard lights were not out. The dimmer dial had simply been turned all the way down. So there was nothing to fix. And they did not charge for making this discovery.Regarding the handle, they had to order the part from Toyota. They called me back quickly regarding the price of the handle and when they would be able to receive it from Toyota.The estimate they gave for replacing the window motor and regulator and for replacing the trunk handle was $500. And the final amount they charged was also $500. So there were no unexpected costs added to the final bill!When they finished the work, they called me to let me know that the car was ready to be picked up. I did not pick up the phone and just saw the voicemail transcription and did not call them back since I was going to pick up the car in 2-3 hours. They called back 2 hours later just to make sure that I got the original voicemail, which was considerate.And they work they did appears good, as far as I can tell. The window and trunk handle now work!

Ed little is great, honest, reliable and nice. Pretty much everything you need in a good mechanic.As an example, we had a very bizarre engine-start problem on a honda. The engine wouldnt start whenever it was hot outside. Ed Littles team kept the car for weeks in order to reproduce the problem. Turned out there was a short that only triggered when the car sat in the heat. He didnt charge me for the extra troubleshooting. I was impressed by the commitment.

My car blew a gasket. Ed inspected it and put a gasket sealant on it so I could at least drive it home and didnt charge me for the service or the sealant. He didnt try to sell me on unnecessary repair work either. Honest man.

Very impressed & happy. I had both of my brake lights go out. I was afraid of getting screwed so I did my research and found these guys using google reviews. I am glad I did! I called and scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Bob said to drop by and let them check in case it was a simple problem before my appointment. I did as such and they found it to be not simple so I came back on the day I was scheduled. They jumped right on diagnosing the issue with me there watching. IN about 5 minutes the tech discovered one light bulb was bad and one of my break light housings was bad. They ordered a new part and said it would be about 2 workign days, but the part arrived that day, much faster than anticipated. I actually couldnt go back so soon, so I returned the next day. They installed the part in about 5 minutes and didnt charge me for the labor. I made it to work early! These guys are honest and quick to resolve your repair issues. I will definitely be back and recommend this auto repair shop.

An absolutely honest mechanic. If youve ever longed for a friend that was a mechanical genius and could help you be sure that you really needed a repair, then you should come here. Ive had them do some fairly complicated stuff (complete electrical wire harness installation) and some simple oil changes. On MANY occasions when I thought I might need one thing or another adjusted or repaired theyve told me, You dont really need that. Its fine the way it is. So theres none of the typical upsell that you get at a dealership. Trust these guys!

Dennis immediately came out and helped me to diagnose my issue. Spent some of his own fluids to help out and didnt charge. I had a very specific issue so they couldnt fix it, but sent me to someone who could.

We take both of our Toyotas here. The service is fast, complete and fairly priced. I would never go back to a Toyota dealer unless it required servicing not offered by Ed Little Auto Service.
