Terrible customer service!! Ordered 2 emblems off eBay back in June and received one a week later. I called and was told it was out of stock, would ship in 3-4 weeks. After that eBay messages stopped being responded to. Phone calls directly to them became “pass the buck”.. I finally received a message yesterday stating they were closed and no idea when reopening. But yet here they are taking orders still. It’s only $48.12.. but it’s the point of the way you handled this Dennis Carpenter. I’ve used you for years… you burned that bridge.

Buyers beware! In my opinion, Dennis Carpenter does not have Quality Control, you have to be the Quality Control person. I have purchased a lot of parts from Dennis Carpenter to restore my 1964 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe. I do not know of anyone that has restore a car in a year. After receiving the parts I did a check list to confirm I received all the parts I ordered. I did not open each package to inspect each individual part to make sure it was manufactured correctly. When I was ready to install my windshield, I opened and removed the windshield seal, that is when I noticed it had a twist in it and this made it impossible to use. I called them to let them know I received a defective part and asked for a replacement. They said after a year they would not replace any parts. I explained it was a defective part it should have not made it off the production floor to be sold to a customer. They responded by saying this happens sometime and would not replaced it. I would expected this from a company that manufacturers in China not a Made in the USA company. I am out $74.95. I will look for other companies to do business with. K.W. Morgan

Made order on July 13th, nothing since then. Sent an email a week later and received a very short reply that basically just said: yeah shipping is delayed do to our moveOkay, I can be understanding. But come on, its been almost a month and the item Ive ordered has still not shipped. I sent another email but have heard nothing back for 2 days.This is way too long. I couldve built my own company and made my own parts in the time its taking to even get to the point of heading to me.

I use to enjoy buying from this company. However, I made an order on July 5, 2021. I still have not received it. The person that handles their email is extremely short. All the info I got was that they’re moving and as such deliveries are delayed. Okay I can understand that but come on it’s been 11 business days and I still haven’t received my part. They’re in NC and I’m in FL, it shouldn’t take this long to ship. They refuse to refund the cost of shipping and have not answered their phone. Really wish I would have gone with CJ Or another vendor.

Dennis Carpenter facilities are amazing, not some rinky dink fly by night outfit. The showroom was closed due to covid 19, which is understandable. They have a phone number on door, and on phone menu, to get a catalog or help with parts. Look forward to doing business with them.

I order parts from this company 4 days ago. Called to check on status of order. I was told in a rude manner to not expect any order to ship for at least 8 to 10 days. I was not even asked my name or order number. How is this acceptable to anyone.

Was sent a 66 dash that was supposed to be one piece, after I explained what came out was two piece. When arrived it covered only part of dash. Then found out I had to pay for shipping back to get refund. They should tell people if they send wrong parts the customer will have to pay to send back.

Well staffed especially for a Saturday and everyone was extremely courteous. The attendant I was working with was training someone, which was great to see, because she was very patient and hands on with him. Im happy to see they care about their employees! This is my first time restoring a vehicle, but you can bet if I need anything else I will be going here!

Common Thievery, Shipping to Canada via USPS is $14.95 ... BUT.... you base it off 30% of the price of the entire order or $48... Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico - Shipping is 30% of order total or minimum rate, whichever is greater. Canada minimum is $48. All others are minimum $30.

I’m writing this in hopes to shed some light on how us workers are NOT given raises! I bet this review will be deleted! I work in the rubber room there are people that has been there for 10,5,4 years ect with out ANY raises! The son took over this company and it’s bad! There are so many unhappy people there! They do NOTHING for the employees. The owner that owns it now does not even speak! We are in there making very low pay while he gets rich! I came from a company where the employees mattered! There was application shown!! I’m sorry but they could care less about the person working to make these parts! Sad just so sad!

Doing a restoration have recieved 2 parts bezels then a gauge lense from a seller that was made by them. This isnt what you put on a quality restoration. Or a beat up honda. Feel bad for small business having to send stuff back but its bad. Heres pictures showing bad quality. Ordered direct from them grille shell was called 2 days later saying they were out of stock.. Complete waste of time. Thats 3 strikes i will request for now on any seller i buy parts from to ensure parts not manafactured or resold coming from this place.

What a great visit we had here as a group. They open the doors for us on a Friday when they are generally closed. We got the full tour of the production facility and stocking inventory as well as the private collection upstairs and Outback. The car collection and Smalls collection is second-to-none and worth visit if you can get in the doors. What an amazing place I cant wait to come back to in the future to absorb more of what there was to see.

I own a 1949 Ford F1 pickup. I have done most of the restoration myself I have used Dennis Carpenter for 90% of the parts. I found them very knowledgeable very friendly and have most if not all the parts in stock when I call. When I have had issues or things that I didnt understand they have a staff that are very knowledgeable friendly and help discuss any issues that you may have.

Its hard to find good customer service these days but this place has it. I had three young men wait on me at 4:55 on a Friday, they were 5 minutes from there weekend and never rushed me or let up trying to find me some parts. They all individually scoured the warehouse for parts, and asked older employees for ideas. The prices are really fair, the customer service is great, this place is going to cost me some $$$$.

We purchased a 1940 ford left front fender from them and it wasn’t cheap . Sadly the part for the price could have been better.A:it had to be made in 2 pieces in the front then welded together. They didn’t match the lines for the hood opening well at all leaving some extra work .B : spraying a cheap silver over the EPT coating ( black ) just gave us more work as most respected parts manufacturers highly recommend removing the black EPT coating.$899 plus shipping ( over $1000) total are they trying to hide the EPT coating???? Come on guys just level up with us . Don’t give us extra work to do it right .Customer service was average just disappointed with the quality of a $1000 sheet metal part .

Purchased some parts for a restore and the parts I ended up with were for a hatchback galaxie not a fastback. Even though the years cover my car never opened them and where in new condition. Mind you they costed an entire $20 at best and was only wanting to exchange and purchase more parts. I was informed that their policy is no returns after one year and I get it’s a policy but ok you lost a customer and I wonder what working family completely restores a car/truck in a year? Make sure you get the right parts as they have a no return period and fees for restocking. NPD has none of these I restored a mustang and they worked with me on multiple times on parts that wasn’t needed or double purchased. Big guy gets little guy!

Bought a tractor hood for a 1964 Ford 4000 rowcrop. I received it in about 5 days after ordering it and found it to be packaged very nicely. Absolutely no damage due to shipping and am very happy. Good job Dennis Carpenter and associates!

Update - Called and asked to speak to a manager about my below described issue and was immediately transferred to Jeff Thompson. Explained what had happened and he further explained how their addressing system works. Their system was showing no mail delivery available at my home address for some unknown reason ( I get mail here every day). Bottom line he fixed the issue and my order is on the way as ordered for price originally quoted. Ive amended to 4 stars.Ordered 2 interior door handles for my 54 Ford F100 online Friday June 8th. Got confirmation that order was received and would be shipping to my home address. Autoresponder email shows up Monday saying parts are being shipped to PO Box.Called to find out why as I had confirmation email that they were coming to home address. The first person I spoke with wanted to argue with me that I had entered he PO Box as the ship to address. Told her I was looking at the confirmation email sent from them saying it was being shipped to my home address. She then said for me to just reply to the info@ email and they would address it and offered no other help. I did this and decided to call in again as the part was to be shipped today and wanted to be sure the address was changed. After being transferred to 3 different people the last guy said he would research and call me back. Got a call back and they informed me that if I wanted it shipped to my home instead of the PO it would be $15.00 not the $9.99 flat rate advertised on the website. After canceling the order I went back to the website and clicked to read the fine print on the flat rate shipping. No where does it say they have the option to pick a shipping address other than what you specify on the site when ordering.
