If you use college movers, watch out for their insurance/damage policy. My TV was broken upon arrival after my move and I was offered less than $50 for it. Be sure to insure your expensive valuables as some of our items were not handled with care.

I have used College Movers of Columbus, IN 4 times in the last 4 years. The first move was from Indiana to Florida. Excellent service. Second time we moved from Florida to Greenwood, IN. It was a two story home and the young men did a great job. In February of 2021 we sold the home in Greenwood to move back and build a home in Bartholomew County. They did a great job. I would use them again, but, I am done moving. Moving is very hard work.

These guys were AMAZING! Best money we spent on this move. Were fairly young and could have done it ourselves but it would have likely ruined us for a few months...not to mention having four little kids makes it nearly impossible! Toby was the driver/team leader that day and he was so kind, professional and just overall awesome! They all worked so hard, got our stuff packed and moved in a timely fashion. They didnt waste any time (as we paid by the hour) and we got every bit of value out of those Three hours.Thank you Gentlemen!We WILL use you again and Recommend you all to EVERYONE! :)

I worked for a month mostly by myself to have everything ready for the move and I’m too old and tired to be talked down to or in a rude manner. Your mover with a beard was very rude and condescending in the way he spoke to me. When I’m paying for someone’s time, I expect to be treated with respect and consideration instead of like they’re doing me a big favor and I’m an inconvenience. When I asked if he would move the furniture first then the boxes he said, “I’ll do it how I see fit“. There are ways to say things to get your point across without being disrespectful. Someone needs to teach him to respect his elders and those who are paying for his time. In all fairness, he mellowed out by the time they were done, so I did include a tip. It was a big job and they did it well. Maybe he was just having a bad day. I know I was.

Two clean cut, strong gentlemen showed up on time to move an upright piano. Both were very professional and pleasant. They went right to work assessing and planning the move before jumping into the task. They operated safely and with care. In all the move took less than an hour and I could not have been more pleased with their work. I would highly recommend College Movers and will use them again. Thank you!!

Would not recommend this company. If they break any of your property they will weasel their way out of repairing any damages. Poor customer service.To you your reply: You might want to train your staff to offer this extra protection this was never brought up when booking over the phone.

Truck and workers were an hour late due to some kind of office-input address mix up...they went to the wrong city! Communications could have been better overall, too much left to automatic emails. Other than that the service was a good value. I would use them again.

We scheduled our move and they estimated 4hrs for the job with 4 guys. Guys came to pack us the day before so they saw what belongings we had. We packed and moved our entire kitchen, 2 living room chairs, dining table and chairs, coffee table, end table and some odds and ends that they thought they would be moving as well. We thought if it took longer no big deal, they would finish the job. They were moving an almost 4000 sq ft home. They went over 1 1/2 hrs and had to leave because they had another job. Said we would have to rebook. We were shocked but rebooked. We had to turn the electricity and water back on and extend our stay. My husband emailed the office and they blamed it on us saying we didn’t list our belongings accurately. They refused to give any discount at all.Second moving day, 2 guys came. Said they were given 2 hrs to load and unload! I said no sir, we have to finish this today. He called and the scheduling guy told him we didn’t list everything again. He didn’t ask for a list! They knew what was left here!They moving guys were super nice, Griffin and Gabe I believe. They worked hard and went over on their time to help us get the rest of the heavy items done.There were other people they have done this to as well. It’s not the movers fault but the man scheduling the moves. They need to send someone out beforehand to access the goods! Simple!!We spent over $1500 plus tips and our move still isn’t done. It has cost us more money in rent, utilities and paying a lawn guy, along with killing ourselves to finish. I have arthritis and other health issues so it was very hard. This is wrong to do to anyone so something needs to be fixed with the process. I felt so bad for the moving guys!

I always use them for all of my moving and junk hauling.They never damage anything, will haul anything away (except for paint and batteries) and are very accommodating.

Showed up late. Didn’t move all of our stuff after we had done a walk thru with the mover. We had to rent a 15 foot truck and filled it ourselves after they left. When we called they offered to return in a week with a small discount on the service. Would never recommend or use again. Yes we were aware of the time restraint however we did not know they wouldn’t be able to move the 3 bedroom house in the time frame they allotted for. Horrible experience and management offered nothing but excuses.

I cannot recommend College Movers enough. These guys are professional, so hard working, had a great attitude, and overall fantastic to work with. We used them for a local move to a new house and we FILLED a 26 foot truck. They worked for 7.5 hours straight and did not even stop for food, although I tried to feed them, they just kept working! They took apart furniture, re-assembled furniture and moved 600 lbs. items for me that I could not move myself. They were so careful of all of my stuff and the walls in my old house and new. I would highly recommend them to all of my friends and family. The rates are well worth it, and we would have paid double for their time.

These guys showed up ready to WORK! We had some super heavy furniture pieces, washer, dryer, garage fridge and deep freezer along with other standard furnishings. Jacob & Ty arrived on time (even a little early) and got right to work. They were quick and efficient and handled everything carefully. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to help when we moved everything to my mother’s and then that hauled away some things she needed to get rid of and even helped move some furniture. Very reasonable rates and no hidden surprises. I would definitely use them again to move or for getting rid of “junk” and highly recommend them.

Incredibly polite, professional, and speedy! They were on time (15 minutes early), loaded up 2k+ sq ft of a 2 floor home, garage, yard, patio etc. This included boxing up about 10% of what we didnt get finished, disassembling and reassembling several furnishings, and they did it all in 2 loads. They loaded and unloaded our entire home in 8 hours. Not only that...not 1 item was damaged! Absolutely incredible!!!

Im dropping my rating due to their abysmal insurance and customer service. They completely destroyed a glass table of mine which I proved was worth around $1,500 brand new. Their response was to tell me that my platinum insurance would cover it at $0.60 per pound like it was a piece of junk. It was only junk because their movers destroyed it.My original 2-star review assumed they would mostly cover the table:1) Previous moves with other companies came with wardrobe boxes, so I was surprised when they came with none.2) A thick glass table was cracked all the way across its surface, and its top tier was bent-in. They used this fragile object as a platform to stack heavy objects on. There is no way that they didnt see the giant crack in the table, and no one informed me about it. I had to find the table destroyed under several heavy boxes in the garage.3) After finding the cracked table, I decided to do a quick once-over all the items they stacked in my garage to make sure no other fragile objects were placed in a way that would do damage. I found a priceless painting that was made for us by a friend leaned against a sharp corner surface with several other heavy paintings pressing its canvas against the corner. Im very glad I checked everything soon after delivery, as this could have irreparably damaged the canvas.The movers were otherwise kind, fast, and punctual.

I hired this company to pack my apartment and put my things in storage as I was out of town due to covid. They were unprofessional as there was a lack of communication on their part and half of my items are missing. I have had to repurchase several items because they simply did not pack it and they threw away all the packed food without asking. Would not recommend this company.

Had move my 5 bedroom home contents and needed help loading a simi trailer. Called and scheduled 2 weeks out. They called Confirmed day before, showed up on time. Contents a little more than I estimated. Brought in a couple extra guys to help. They did a great job, packed the trailer tight and used moving pads to protect my furniture. Great bunch of guys, did a awesome job and stayed energetic and positive all day long. Highly recommended!!!! We will use again to unload at new home. Top Notch!!!

I hired College Movers to move some large pieces of furniture in my home and to remove an item. Two movers came who were very nice and professional. They got right on the job and completed it quickly and carefully with no damage to door ways or walls and asked if there was any other moving needed. During move in/out (truck, storage container, home), the teams have been very thoughtful in moving throughout the home, being careful with items, and assembling furniture. As expected they showed up right on time and did the most professional move of my Grandmothers antique cupboard. Its a really heavy, solid, cherry wood cupboard and they were careful with it, professional and very kind. Local owner with a great staff.Would recomend them EVERY time!

The young guys were friendly. But you could tell by the way they packed the truck that this wasn’t done efficiently. We were moving two hours away and needed as much in the truck, especially our big items. Our main big item was our refrigerator, didn’t make it on the truck. It should have been the first thing on the truck but instead they tried to put on last and it couldn’t fit. The boxes were not organized inside the truck, and if they would have put them in a more organized manner we wouldn’t have had to rent a trailer and van and had additional family drive two hours to assist us. Also since our main item had to be left, we are having to rent a U-Haul which is going to run $200 to go and get it. We were in contact with Braden and Jared during this and were told something would be done but they would have to check and see what items we said were being packed and compare. Even if a few extra items were needing to be packed, granted nothing crazy, as we didn’t have a couch to be packed. We told them we had a 1200 sq foot house. Smaller items could have been arranged to be picked up from families house but the refrigerator NEEDED to go. Once it was time to pay we called the gentlemen listed above and was told to pay the full amount due and they would get in contact to see what they would be doing for us. All I am asking is for compensation for having to now rent another truck to get the main item we needed taken two hours away. We will continue to be in contact until we get what is deserved in this situation. Customer service should step it up and make sure customers are pleased so they continue to get business. All in all, I give 3 stars as the young movers were friendly and did the best they could since they aren’t professional. But just a thought, when you have these young kids packing, have a manager or adult with them to make sure things are being packed efficiently and help until they are 100% confident they can pack it to the top.

Things we appreciated: showed up on time to pick up a sectional purchased from Marketplace. Polite and professional. Went above and beyond helping to situate the sectional into our living room. We were disappointed that they sent one guy to pick up the sectional. I was lucky my husband was with me to help him load and unload the sectional. I did have a budget and maybe that what it took to stay on budget. Letting us know beforehand would have been the right move. This our second time using this company and I would use them again.

This is the second time we used this company. The first time was to move our furniture from one house to another. They were very careful with our furniture - even though our stuff isnt exactly top notch. Moving furniture into our new house - they were very careful even with the multiple stairs throughout the house and I had asked to move 2 things to another location after changing my mind on where I wanted it and they did it with happiness... from what I could tell. =) very pleased.The second time we used them was to remove the rest of our stuff from the old house that we didnt sell at the garage sale. Some furniture, some boxed stuff, some loose stuff. Also had some bags of stuff we wanted to throw away. They were able to pick it all up very quickly. They didnt just toss it in the back because they try to donate/repurpose everything. So happy that I didnt just trash everything. They were very nice and courteous the whole time while I was running around like chicken with my head cut off due to multiple other things going on.Highly recommended. Will use again and again. College movers did a good job for us, moving a full truckload of furniture for our family of four. One especially challenging item was a large sectional sofa they brought up from our finished basement. This is a hard working group of guys. We will use them again.

The guys that showed up were polite but there was many damages to furniture, scratches on bedroom furniture, scratches on tables, and I am still checking everything out. I would NOT recommend this company due to all the damages. It appears the truck was not properly loaded and shifted during transit. The owner would not listen to any of my concerns. While he says they take pride in the transparency in their charges. There is NOT transparency so I am unaware where the transparency appears. One last statement. It appears that a majority of the reviews are not real especially on YELP, where there were 22 that were removed. It is difficult knowing how to research when there are many fake removes but looking briefly it appears a majority of their reviews apparently come from their college friends and sorority/fraternity. Its apparent when you compare the other moving companies and this one, that College Movers have many short, ambiguous reviews compared to the other moving companies. As stated before, the move was successful but the damage was not acceptable and the owner offered no relief for all the damages.I cannot recommend this company, mainly due to the damages and also the owners attitude.

We had 4 movers come out to move us from one awkwardly shaped 3-bed/3-bath house to another. They did an excellent job and had our move completed in about 3 hours! All of the guys were super hard-working and they worked well together as a team. I do wish they had assembled all of our bed frames but they only did the master bedroom. Not a big deal, and I would definitely recommend College Movers to my friends and family!

We used College Movers for our move and they did a great job. They worked VERY hard, were on time, worked efficiently, communicated frequently, asked questions when uncertain and were generally very helpful throughout the move. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 as they did some minor damage to the edges of our new leather sofa when trying to fit it through a doorway. If it hadnt been new, I might have not noticed. I should have made mention of the sofa being new, I am sure they would have been more careful. I asked them to be extra careful with a coupe of family heirloom pieces and they did as instructed. They went the extra mile and carefully wrapped the piece and handled it with extreme care. We will definitely use College Movers again, but Ill be better prepared and will better communicate about items that are new, particularly special or fragile.

The first time I used College Movers, they were 5 stars all the way. This time was a completely different experience. I had 4 movers and a 26 truck. They arrived 15 minutes early, which was great. They were all nice guys - again, great. The move started smoothly, but I noticed they werent packing the truck very tightly. I assumed they saw how much I had and knew what they were doing. By the time they got to the back of the truck, they didnt have enough room. They were sorry, but I was going to have to move the rest another day - a huge inconvenience! In addition,they didnt seem to be as careful with my furniture as they had been previously. In fairness, the 2 younger and seemingly more inexperienced guys were the most careless. One kept trying to force a table through a doorway. Instead of tilting the table, he just pushed harder, leaving gouges and paint marks on a wood table. One guy laid a suede chair on its side on the ground. When he picked it back up there were leaves and dirt all over it. They didnt have the tools they needed to remove a refrigerator door, so it took an extra hour ($145/hr) to get that resolved. They laid a beautiful wood desk on its side on my driveway. The tiny scratches on that piece were easily buffed out...but still! I hate giving a 1 star rating, especially when they had been so good before, but to force me to have to rent another truck and spend another day when it could/should have been done all at once has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. On a different day they might be great, but it wasnt on my day.

The boys were very hard working but I was disappointed in all the damage they caused to my furnitures and my home. It seemed like they didnt have enough experience on how to move the big bulky furnitures. They did fix the hole on the wall but my furnitures will now forever be damaged :(

The two guys that showed up were very calm and relaxed and did it at a very slow place. I did not find any thing damaged during the move, however out of total 3 hrs 15 min move, they included 30 min for to and fro travel to the address and 15 min for drink break. At a rate of $95 per hour I dont think its worth. Not really happy with the move!
